Serious: The Blizzard Pirates Chapter 1: First Adventure in York Island. Assembling the crew. (CLOSED)

Leif looked from Roko to Kana and then back again, obviously panicked. “I heard it with my…um…special hearing, I think Alan, called it,” Leif said quickly, pointing to his ears.

“I said that because you wouldn’t understand the technicalities of it all,” Alan said, coming up behind the captain and Kana. His hands were in his pockets and he looked completely unconcerned by their situation. “Besides, everyone heard the announcements, just like you. It’s just that some of us weren’t listening.” Alan then looked pointedly at the two individuals directly in front of him.

Leif didn’t seem to hear Alan. He was biting his lip and dancing on the spot nervously.

“I guess we might be able to do that, captain…but it sounds like they’re coming after us or something,” Leif said. “Shouldn’t we-”

“Too late for that,” Alan interrupted, pointing past Leif. “Here they come now.”

Leif whirled around to see the crowd of people coming towards them. Worse still, it looked like their ranks were growing. He groaned and took a step back so that he was standing beside Roko.

“Blast it,” Leif muttered. “I wasn’t fast enough.”

As the explosions occured, Peck and Ted imedietly rushed to the side of their king, who looked absouletely confused and dumbfounded at the fiery orange glow, wondering what on earth just happened. Then later an angry mob arrived, King Zastur stiffed, and watched the mob in fear. Damn it, are they more of those lunatics who think I was planing on taking over the world? No that can't be right, they were only in my old kingdom, I doubt they would leave it since they overthrew me., the king thought to himself franticly, before bellowing out the order, still believing he was in charge; "Kna- crewmates! I doubt these people will listen to what we say, I belive them to right-wing activists! They either have a psychotic grudge against one of you or possibly me! I belive the safest course of action is to flee!"

Ryohei who sat back and watched the fire engulf parts of the city took a moment to himself to watch the spectacle. He was more than ready for his task and set off into the heart of the fire unseen by any. He was instructed to look like a hero to the citizens of the city and as such was told to wear a disguise, he did so. The only thing that changed about his appearance was a mask but in the chaos none of the citizens would remember his wardrobe or care for that matter.

He ran scenarios through his mind, the safest course would be to fight them one on one but if that didn't work out he would tackle them head on. He would be heavily outnumbered and even though some of the members were inexperienced that didn't hinder their strength any. The most dangerous member they have is their captain Roko who would be a handful by himself but with the addition with his crew members would be almost suicide. Even so he still liked the idea of an all out brawl, he set off to find the Blizzard Pirates.

Moving swiftly through the streets he saw the pirates being approached by an angry mob of people. He was now stuck between jumping in with the mob or waiting to strike. He ultimately decided to wait, he hid in a nearby alley, an alley in the path they would have to take if they were to retreat. If they attempted to retreat he would jump in, likewise if they attempted to attack the mob he would jump in also. Either way the plan was coming to fruition much quicker than expected from Ryohei.

Kana stepped up next to Roko. She watched the mob coming closer. It seemed as if with each step more and more people were being added.
"Captain, what are your orders?" she asked him.
She agreed with Zastur that the best course of action was to run, but what would the mob do? Attack their ship from afar or follow them out to sea? It would be unlikely that they'll let them go free, since they were being blamed for the explosions.
And if they were to attack them? It wouldn't be smart. The mob was made of innocent townspeople. People would die if it became a fight. They were pirates, but attacking the innocent was probably the worst thing to do.
She glanced up at Roko. But in the end, it was the captain's the decision.

Roko stood frozen as he thought: WHAT AM I GOING TO DO?!?!?! We cant kill this people, they are inocent, and they really think we're destroying their home village and killin them, they have the right to be angry at us...they must have heard rumors that were pirates and automatically thought it was our faul.- then a light bulb appeared inside Roko's head and lit up.

"I HAVE AN IDEA."- Roko exclaimed.-"Lets try to make them faint or somthing like that, but dont kill any of them, or block teir attacks, but dont kill them!"

Roko then placed the fire crystal in his sword, took a barrel of rum from the side of the ship (he had bought some a while ago and left it there) and started pouring it in front of them, to block the path of the furious citizens. Then lit the rum in fire with his sword.

"Crap." Ryohei said to himself, he hadn't expected them to block the way of the mob with fire. He had not the means to put out the fire and hoped the mob would be smart enough to go get water to put it out. In the mean time he had to stall them so they could not escape, at least not without looking guilty. He had to spring a surprise attack he was outnumber and would have to be on the defensive until the mob came through but it was a risk he had to take.

He was not going to let his captains plans be ruined because of these people. He sprung into action, drawing his sword he attempted to cut the man who lit the fire on the back.

It was a brilliant plan, Leif had to admit. It certainly was holding the crowd at bay, at least for now. The only danger was that the flames might spread to some of the nearby buildings. Leif was about to point this out when he saw Ryohei, but didn’t recognize him of course, attempting to slash Roko.

“Captain!” Leif shouted, jumping in the path of the oncoming blade. He caught the sword with his hands, the metal in his hands absorbing the damage he would have taken from the attack. Gritting his teeth, Leif began to try and push Ryohei back by pressing on his sword. “NO-YOU-DON’T!” He growled.

Mildly surprised by the boys speed and ability to catch his sword Ryohei pushed off of the boys chest with his feet to perform a back flip into standing position. Ryohei had heard something when the boy caught his sword, it wasn't any sound normal flesh would of made when hit by a sword. Ryohei was convinced he wasn't all human but had never seen anything like him so didn't know exactly what he was. He readied himself and was prepared to fight at full strength, that of course for him meant destroying his opponent most of the time, restraint wasn't his best attribute when going all out.

He needed to act fast and with a boost a speed he went to attack the boy before his friends had time to react to his presence. He ran at high speed at the boy and jumped into the air in a split second. Coming back to the ground at high speed he readied himself to draw his sword. He was using his descension technique. He modified it by drawing his sword a bit early and preparing to swing it right before contact to increase the damage to hopefully harm the boys unusual body.

Though he watched carefully as Ryohei preformed his assault, Leif was unprepared for the suddenness, and power, of the coming attack. The cut slammed Leif back into the ground. Once again, his outer shell was mostly undamaged, though this time he was left with a long scratch across his chest, but his insides felt like they were doing a jig.

“Ooog…” Leif groaned as the world spun around him. He shook his head, trying to clear the mental haze that had sprung up, clouding his thinking ability.

Thinking fast, Alan pulled his gun out and opened fire on Ryohei from where he stood. He had seen fighters like Ryohei before, and didn’t think he would hit him, but he needed to get the man away from Leif long enough for the others to spring into action.

Kana raised an eyebrow, impressed. Her captain was able to make up at good plan quickly. Through the fire wall, she saw the the mob of people was kept at bay by the barrier. She smirked.

From the corner of her eye, she spotted a man with a sword leaping toward Roko. Her eyes widened. Crap! The metal weapon neared his head. She placed her hand on one of her knives to prepare for an attack if needed.
"Captain!" She shouted for a warning.

As soon as those words left her mouth, a hand caught the sword saving the captain. She looked over to the other side of Roko and saw Leif standing there. What amazing reflexes and speed. Being a cyborg really had it's advantages. She watched as the man counter attacked, and a fight bloomed right in front of her eyes.

Ryohei barley noticed the man with the gun and would of been as good as dead if it wasn't for the loud sound the gun made. When he heard the sound he immediately knew it was a gun and began to evade the bullet from which he had no idea which way it was coming. As such he was still grazed by the bullet that hit him in the arm drawing blood. Angered by the mans actions Ryohei charged at him sword at the ready, he was going to kill the man if not stopped.

"Now Now.. we cant have a Fire blocking the people can we now?" A swift Wind cutter was seen thrown towards the flames completely extinguishing them. A figure with a Devils mask holding a childs hand was seen on top of a building, the child was awestruck by the flames disappearing and held on closer to the man. The crowd of people could see the Pirates infront of them now, the devil seemed to be looking down at the people and the Blizzard pirates. His voice then echoed through the battle field. "These are the Blizzard pirates, Show them no mercy.. as they did not to your town, that man with the mask.. he is your new hero!." Shusei was hidden behind his mask, so nobody could have noticed who he was. The people roared with excitement as the fight was now continued.

After further looking into the fight he noticed Ryohei charging with anger towards the Cyborg man, "Hehe.. when he gets like this.." Shusei disappeared and reappeared behind Ryohei holding his blade and putting it back in his staff, making it look like a cane once again. His hand was covering the Sapphire on the top and was getting prepared to interfere with the battle if needed. Shusei stood on standby watching the chaos unfold. The people that were left behind by the fire continued to run forward, now within an arms reach of everyone they were trying to kill the people infront of them. Each with pitch forks and swords they tried to slice/stab them continuously. They ignored Ryohei being recognized as a potential hero.

Everything had happened very fast. A noise behind him, kana shouting: Captain! and Leif quickly stopped what could have easily left him very badly wounded and then continued fighting the man.

"Damn! Thanks for that Leif!" -Roko exclaimed wide eyed. Then something put the fire he had made down and the people started to run again towards them, there was a man with a demon masl, saying that his attacker was a kind of hero. Roko quickly changed the crystal in his saber for the wind crystal.

"DARN!!! EVERYONE ON THE SHIP, COME HERE AND HELP, WE MUST BACK THEM OFF, WE CANT HURT THEM, JUST BACK THEM OFF, DONT HARM THEM!!!" -Roko yelled in desperation for help. He airslashed in direction to Ryohei's head.-"Air Slash!!!"

Then Roko turned in direction to the mob and holded his saber strongly with his right hand, drawing circles in the air in front caused a strong wind vortex to be launched continuously in direction to the mob, backing them off and making them trip with each other because of the strenght of the attack.

"Back off citizens! It wasn't us that set up the explosions in your city!" -Roko kept launching the vortex. -"We dont want to harm you!"

As the king ans his animal subordinates watched the fight between Ryohei and Leif, they decided to merely watch, beliveing that if Ryohei was taken down it would be plain sailing, until off course the fire blocking the angry mob was eliminated, letting the angry mob have their chance. That voice! Sire, I believe that we have met this skilled warrior and that man who suddenly appeared before!, Peck told his master hastily, who then imedietly ordered,; "Ted! You have brute force so use it! Hold off those villagers and avoid as much injuries to yourself and those peaseants as possible! Peck! You and I are going to see what dispicable knave hides behind those masks!" Ted saluted at the king and rushed over to the mob, attempting to force them back with his staff held across, while King Zastur, followed by Peck, leapt at Shusei, aiming a strike at his head. "Let us see your how ugly your face must be to hide knave!"

Shusei was expecting them to attempt to attack him, but not so soon. After watching him advance towards Shusei he was debating on what to do next, his choicex were many for such a blunt attack, but in the end he decided that for the sake of his plans it was better not to play around too much. After having Zasturs staff aimed at his Head Shusei put the Saphire part of his Cane on the staffs way, the second the Staff touched the cane the Impact was absorbed, making the attack completely worthless at that moment. After the attack had been done Shusei unshiethed the cane to have it make an Airslash at a point blank range. He made this attack to harm both the South bird and Zastur, the cutting wind could usually cut through people like butter but in Zastur's physical superiority it would be obvious that the worst he could get from an attack like that was a wound, or being sent backwards.

After making the attack Shusei made his statement from what Roko said. "You think that a Town filled with people that SAW you do it are wrong now? even the announcers know of what you did. There is no escaping your judgement.." Shusei assumed the stance infront of the girl.. almost like he was protecting her.

Watching ahead Shusei noticed the Bear attempting to hold back the crowd, as well as Roko's wind attacks. Shusei sent another Wind slash aimed specifically at the Bears back, aiming to potentially kill/wound him. After making the attack Shusei Moved towards Roko and clashed blades with him. Both swords going head to head this attack by itself was made to stop Roko's barraging of Air at the crowd, after clashing blades Shusei awaited the people to crash through, If the attack to the bear would have hit the people would certainly move forward and now even closer to Roko and the others. Shusei behind his mask was smiling. The child that was with Shusei is now on his back smiling at the Chaos.

Alan continued shooting at Ryohei, but his shots were going wide and then…he was out of bullets. That wasn’t good. And even worse, it didn’t look like he would be receiving any aid any time soon.

”LEIF!” Alan shouted, attempting to rouse his comrade, but Leif was still too disoriented to do much more then sit up.

So Alan took a stance. He was a scientist and at times an engineer, but he was first and foremost a revolutionary. And if he was going to die, he was going to go down fighting. He tensed in preparation for the maneuver he was about to make. It would be tricky and there was only a little chance that he could pull it off without getting hurt, but he had no other choice.

On his original course to the man that shot him Ryohei was prepared to kill him, that is until he was hit totally off course by an attack of air. Upon getting back on his feet he saw his captain in a clash with the leader of the others. Taking the opportunity to back him up he instantly began heading over towards them. He knew everything depended on the angry mob, and as such he had to make sure with the time given he got them through. He used his small opening to get over to the crowds side where he would plan to push forward with them instead of pushing towards them to eventually push back again.

Alan let out a sigh of relief. So now he was safe. For the moment, at least. He jogged over to Leif and grabbed his shoulder.

“Get up!” Alan barked. “They need you!”

“Okay, okay,” Leif shook his head and groaned. “Give me a second.”

“NOW!” Alan snapped.

He attempted to drag Leif to his feet, but was unable to do so because of the weight of all the metal in Leif’s body. Even so, it did have the desired effect of speeding Leif back to his feet. Leif then looked around, seeing all of the chaos. He wasn’t quite sure where to go first. So much was happening so quickly.

So he took the most direct course of action and blitzed the guy in the demon mask, who was attacking his captain. Leif pulled back one fist and launched a punch at the man’s face, but it was a feint. Leif snapped his fist back and punched with his other fist.*

(*It’s called Celestial Illusion. Just hasn’t been named yet.)

Shusei watched the man attempting to punch him, having stopped Roko from slashing his wind he seemed wide open. Watching him try to punch with his right arm Shusei ducked, having left Roko and hims clash with swords, after having his opponent wide open for an attack Shusei used his speed to attempt a slash while being point blank on his upper torso. "Lighting Slash" Shusei was by this point behind the strange oponent, having his sword much sharper then average swords he assumed this would leave a cut IF it ended up hitting him. Shusei then turned around having his cane ready for an attack/ defense.

Ryohei seemed to have gotten the picture, he was now wit the mob helping them reach the Blizzard pirates, by this time they were within a few feet of the battle. Shusei watched in an amusing tone, this was going to be a very fun battle. The little girl was still on Shuseis back, hanging on tightly to his neck.

While the bulk of the fighters were distracted fighting his captain Ryohei continued to push. "Were almost there lets go!" He shouted to the mob who pushed harder with the motivation. The looked like they were ready to pounce, Ryohei loved it. "We have to drive them out don't give up!" He was ready to finish this battle it no longer interested him.

The cut did in fact manage to open up Leif’s chest. Despite this, Leif did not feel any pain, not like he would have had he still had nerves to feel with. Still, it was hard to miss something slamming into you and cutting you open, so he spared a half second to look down and check the damage.

The cut had not been an especially large one, but it had damaged the metal, leaving it weakened greatly around that area. And there was a little bit of blood leaking from the hole. Apparently Shusei had managed to cut deep enough to reach Leif’s veins.

Feeling sickened by the sight, Leif once more turned to face Shusei. Before he could attack, a sudden feeling of great exhaustion washed over him. He felt like he had run a marathon, not once but twice, with no breaks in between each attempt.* His metal body weighed down on him like never before. Leif tried to move his body, and found that he still could do so fairly easily, but as he did, the feeling of tiredness increased. Now panic was flooding his mind. What was wrong with him? He felt like he could collapse any second. If that was true, he would need to finish this battle right now.

With that in mind, Leif sprang into the air towards Shusei. He spun his body as he did, throwing a kick at Shusei’s head, but like before this was a feint and he checked himself at the last second. Instead, he fell to the ground, caught himself with his hands, and launched a forward bull kick at Shusei’s chest.

(*He hasn’t eaten or drank anything to recharge his energy supplies lately.)

Shusei didnt have enough time to counter with Black Flash, it truely seemed that the hit to the head would send him flying if not worse. But in the entire time they were fighting he hadnt remembered showing them his strongest defense, never the less his opponent was in the air,so his first choice was to attack. Taking his sword he made an Air slash the second the man attempted to strike him, only for the man to dodge it by falling and attempt a second hit. The kick wouldve connected if it were not for His best defense. Shusei revealed his Sapphire stone on his Cane, and put it in front of him, being the only defense he had left and his only hope of not getting pummeled into the Ocean now Behind him. The Impact was absorbed by the Dial inside his Canes sapphire, and it instantly stopped. Having his oponent wide open Shusei decided to make his move.. having absorbed impacts from both Rohan and this mans Powerfull Kick Shusei thought of it as a perfect experiment to see how much punishment this Cyborg could take. Shusei Put his Canes Sapphire and attempted to put it close to James, IF it did touch the now still man he would make an Impact consisting of both the Cyborgs AND Rohans swords. It would send him flying into a house behind him since he was mostly metal.

Shusei was also waiting for His poisons effect to hit the mans body, It would take effect NOW, slowly slowing down the cyborg. Although the poison couldn't kill him in but a few minutes he would feel its slowing effects on his body.. It will leave him in a state where he cant move for 24 hours. (11 posts left for Leif)

The girl was holding tightly on to Shusei, "Its these peoples fault my mother is gone.. *Sobs*" The girl was now crying on Shuseis Neck, Shusei put his hand on her. Shusei at that instant jumped into the air, eventually climbing up the air as if he were on stairs, reaching 50 feet, "Do you like being in tall places?" the girl nodded. Shusei was in actuality going into the air for a tactic he was about to unleash, from this distance he could make Chaos happen with one simple attack, but of course he had to wait for the perfect timing. Weather Leif was hit or not Shusei needed to be in the air at that moment.

Watashi who had slumbered on the ship now woke up

Man, what with all this noise he said with an annoyed voice.

he looked further down towards the harbor and saw a sort of a mob.

Well, this town really don't like pirates. But why do they hate so much?

"Soru"

He was now on a nearby roof looking for his crew. He noticed he noticed some young girl who seemed to be in the crew and roko quite fast

Hey Guys! What all the ruckus about?!

(OOC: Btw Law, it's not Alice, its Kana and my character is Roko, not Rodoku [which you called Roduko xD] So better edit this post a lil' bit? I'll still answer to you.)

Roko had not moved, he didnt know what to do, his brain seemed like gears of a machine working, until one idea came up... The Penta Attack! That had to be it. Even if it hurt them, there was no other way out, that would give them time to run and sail to another part of the island in the WindWalker.

Roko took his special artifact to place the 5 crystals at the same time in the Chiaya Saber, fitted it in and rapidly placed all the crystals in it. Then he spinned his sword as he did before, drawing circles in the air and a vortex of fire, lightning, rocks, freezing water and wind was launched and to all the mob. Roko hoped that the mob had started to retreat when they saw he started to do something or when they saw that huge attack coming. It was a continues attack that had to have hit at least the people in the first lines.

"Sorry for that... my nakama is more important..." -Roko said sadly.-"But I hope I hit you, masked guy."

Then Roko looked into the sky and the building, he heard Watashi asking what was going on and the man with the demon mask up in the air.

"This people from the town think that we were the ones that set up explosives on their city!" -Roko said. -"EVERYONE THAT BELONG TO THE BLIZZARD PIRATES!!! RETREAT TO THE SHIP, WE MUST RETREAT TO THE SHIP AS WE CANT ATTACK THEM! THEY'RE INNOCENT PEOPLE!"

Roko cut the vortex after that and took the device out, palcing only the wind crystal and pointing at Shusei who was in the air.

"AIR SLASH!!!" -he shouted as he airslashed and ran in direction to the ship.

Ryohei who was leading the mob saw the huge attack coming at him and the crowd and sighed. "Great now I have to take this for these idiots." He said under his breath so no one could hear. He jumped out in front and jumped towards the attack, he knew if it hit him dead on it would probably kill him. Even more so he knew if it hit the crowd they would die also, they needed to live for the plan to be a full success. He had he sword at the ready and used a good amount of energy in an attack. "Splitter!" He yelled out and set a gigantic wave towards the other mans attack. It was gigantic in comparison to his other splitters and was meant to reduce the damage he was about to take.

He splitter hit the attack and slowed it down, not by much but by enough. The attack then slammed into him with its remaining force almost instantly making his body slam into the ground creating a crater. When the smoke settled the mob looked into the crater to see a bloodied Ryohei who's clothes were shredded and mask was barley hanging on his face. He was not moving or talking and his intense eyes were open and looking at the skies. He was looking at the skies because he knew his captain was there now and was hoping he had did enough for his captain to finish by himself. "Sorry captain looks like that's it for me." Were his final words before he passed out inside of the crater.
