Serious; The Dusk Pirates; Chapter 11; End? (Open to the Dusk Pirates and allies)

Frank didn't hear the last words of Ellen, he was too furious about a thing she yelled out in the middle. His face darkened with anger as he clenched his fists on either side of his body. "It's not a damn violin... IT'S A DAMN FIDDLE!" Frank shouted and stomped his right foot down, literally planting it into the ground with his sheer strength. A fiddle and a violin were obviously the same thing, but Frank will never allow anyone to "mistake" his fiddle for a violin. Never.

Trying to contain his anger, Frank hissed towards Ellen "I'll let you live this time...", before he raised his pupil-less eyes to behold the idiots at work. Beams of different types of energy were fired all around, buzzing by Frank and Ellen.

Manta vs Quincy vs Dude vs Sabres (With Ellen and Frank watching)

"Shockwave!" Manta said with a serious look on his face and he used his signature shockwave from his feet, repeling himself on the air and dodging the attack of Quincy, who was coming with great speed towards his direction in an attempt to slash him with his lion claws. "Too slow!" he said to the doctor of the Dusk Pirates and then he noticed that Sabres was launching an attack of Static Electricity that was aiming for Quincy. "Static Egg!!!" Manta said, at that moment and he launched a barrage of egg-shaped projectiles which were made from the same static electricity that Dude used. An explosion occurred and the two attacks were nullified. Manta had just protected Quincy.

"You, Manta, right? .. Your ability is really bizarre .. maybe I could run some tests on you to see if I can imitate any of your properties into a machine! Hahaha!" Dude yells, and jumps high into the air, just on the same height as Manta. He pulled, strapped on his back, a small semi-automatic rifle of sorts, it seems to be modified, probably by Dude himself. "Denka Gatling Gun!" He shouts, and bullets covered with a gold-colored aura are fired from this close range towards Manta. Meanwhile, Sabres-chicken has turned his attention for the time being, and now charges straight towards Quincy, in mid air, with his beak pointing at Quincy, like a dart. It seems that literally, it's every man for himself, not to mention that they are all using some really dangerous moves on each other.

Quincy was too focused on fighting Mantra to see that this fight wasn't just one on one between enemies. This was an battle royal where only one would win. Then quincy saw a electrical shockwave heading toward him. Even with his superspeed, Quincy couldn't avoid such an attack. This was going to hurt. Then suddenly a mircale happened. Mantra used his powers to defend him from the attack. Okay either Quincy had been taking too drugs or hell just froze over. Before quincy even had a chance to realize to what was going on Sabes has speared into him pierecing his lion skin with his beak.

"Oh snap did u just do that?!"

The energy steriods had numbed quincy's body from pain. It also helped that his muscles were already swollen and bulging. His abs held Sabes in place with his beak wedged into his body. Quincy stuck out his claws ready to slash the chicken into tenders. Does anybody have a frier? He launched his right paw toward him.

Manta vs Quincy vs Dude vs Sabres (With Ellen and Frank watching)

As the bullets were coming towards the direction of Manta, the cook of the Dusk Pirates started using his shockwave technique towards them. By moving swiftly the muscles of his feet, he was launching several balls of compressed air. The compressed air balls were hitting on the bullets and they were deflecting the bullets back to Dude with great speed, while also preventing Manta from getting damaged by them. The battles were getting interesting... Two of the most formidable fighters of the Black Cross Pirates were fighting two of the most formidable fighters of the Dusk Pirates as well. What would happen next?

Lappy

Meanwhile, while the battle was taking place, Lappy was also coming towards that area. However, when he noticed what was going on, he hid himself behind a tree and was peaking at the battle. After all, it was very easy to hide under the dark sky of Raijin Island, the island with the infinite thunderstorms.

Ellen merely snorted arrogantly at Frank's reply, thinking to herself that a flamable corpse shouldn't fight with an explosvies expert anyway. Her lack of venom at the undead musician, and for the nosiy combatants for that matter, was for the simple fact she too found the battle entertaining, grinning maniacly as the explosion was definetly her faviroute part. She chuckled at the sight of that, smarmily shouting; "Good effort, but an explosion like that would only make a shed wimper!", befor epondering if she should join in the fray, but decided she wouldn't bother. She didnt want to waste her gun powder on this lot, besides, she got to see the one's she was furious at inflict punoshment on eachover, in a way.
"Well, it's a nice little distraction from work I suppose.", she murmered to herself.

Volt stood next to his captain listening to his speech rallying the other pirates to an assault on Raijin Island. Volt readied himself behind Iken for the attack.

"Captain. My Thunder bird fruit powers have been enhanced by the island, so I will be able to aid in using the storms as cover." He stated to his Captain: preparing for his orders charging up his electricity. He gathered a small amount of energy from the lightning rain of the island. It was surprisingly enough for numerous attacks and techniques Volt used. The island had so much more power to offer than he had originally anticipated. The power of the island swelled through him. He knew that this was going to be a good day to show off his combat skills. He was hoping this would be an excellent time to show his power to his Captain, allowing him to raise through the ranks as a pirate; as he once dreamed as a child.

"Captain. I will also be able to keep constant surveillance over the island using a new technique I developed recently." He explained to Iken briefly. He also prepared himself for that technique. Volt was surprised at how many abilities he could prepare and execute simultaneously. It was like someone reached inside of him and pulled out the inner thunder bird. He examined some of his wounds were healing quickly from the island on account of the electricity. His stamina and strength were also increased. The island had much to offer him when it came to new strength and energy. Volt was silently pleased by the islands powers.

Frank's face slowly twisted into a frown as the battle raged on. Any sane person would in terror from the blasting lights and ground-breaking shockwaves that were flying all around, or at least be impressed to the bone if he was brave enough to stay, but Frank was no sane person, he wasn't even a person at all. Frank couldn't enjoy a battle that consisted only of visual effects and magic tricks for too long, and the four-way battle was going on for a while with nothing but beam-tennis going on between the combatants.

Hearing Ellen mumbling, Frank snapped. "Barely... LET'S SEE SOME BLOOD!" Frank shouted, stopping his other foot deep into the ground as well. He was starting to get impatient, and considered joining the battle to liven things up, despite the irony, but figured it was best to wait for while. The last thing he wanted right now was to turn into a chicken again by Manta's magic. 'I'll wait 'till the chicken-man die out, jump in to finish the rest, and then use the chicken corpse as a punching bag for tomorrows training!' He thought, smirking at the sweet thought. He couldn't remember that Manta was Max's relative, or that Quincy was his own nakama, the blood-thirst overcame those memories.

"Shit!" Dude's expression changes, he definitely didn't expect that someone could not only evade, but also counter with his own attack, from such close range. He kicks the air and yells "Boost!" and a small discharge occurs, and throws him upwards about 10 feet. He doesn't seem to have that sadistic, joyful grin anymore, it's replaced by a cold mug. "Okay, that's it!" he yells. What does he have in mind now?

It all seems lost for the chicken-transformed Sabres, as he is effectively trapped right on Quincy's body, not to mention he is about to be mauled to death from a series of sharp claws. But then, Sabres cutesy eyes, which by the way, would look so ridiculous on a normal-formed Sabres, narrow and focus, they seem angry, and the chicken extents his leg towards Quincy's incoming, and then .. the leg suddenly "erupts", massive in size, well, compared to the chicken, and actually clash with the claws. It seems that despite being a chicken, he can still utilize "Life Return". Manta would probably adore to have a chicken like that. Of course, this move was really not that strong, but it provided Sabres with just enough time to manage to get himself out of this deadly spot, and now, the little bird begins to run around, trying to confuse Quincy.

"Tsk ... he is even more annoying and hard to catch now, can't you make him go back to his normal self?" Dude remarks to Manta, while he is aiming at him with the same weapon, only that, the barrel's end seems different.

Maximillion (With Wally, Nathan, Frank, Ellen, Manta, Sabres, Dude and Quincy)

As the battle is taking place and basically Sabres, Dude, Manta and Quincy are almost ready to destroy each other, Maximillion appears in the scene with Wally and Nathan. Knowing Manta's personality, Maximillion knew that the man would actually not stop the battle but actually take part in it. As a result, he stoped his short meeting with Wally for a few minutes in order to take his time and stop the brawl of the four men, before they killed each other with their scary and deadly powers.

"Enough!" Maximillion yelled at the members of the Dusk Pirates as they were prepared to launch their attacks. "Stop the battle immediately. Me and Wally have to discuss, we cannot afford time to babysit you, you shitheads." he continued saying with his emotionless - as always - voice and he then waited for the four men to stop.

"Bah, the big heads came to stop our fun. Or should we also attack them and have a large free for all? I'm in if you feel like it!" Dude says, laughing, as he lands down, and places his weapon back to his back, in it's sheath. Sabres doesn't seem too happy about that arrival, and he shows it by directly pecking Wally's head, before the man even had time to say what he was about to say, "what's with that pink chicken?".
"Weee-hahahaha, that hurts like hell, you have to be Sabres! You look like shit!" Wally says instead, laughing, and claps his hands. "Playtime is over, it's time to talk business."
Sabres-chicken walks towards Manta, with a remarkably pissed off and serious (for a chicken anyway) expression on his face. *MAKE ME MYSELF AGAIN!* he thinks he yells, but instead he just tweets around.

Maximillion (With Wally, Nathan, Manta, Ellen, Frank, Quincy, Sabres and Dude and Lappy [who is hiding])

"Do not worry, the abilities of the Yoko Yoko Fruit wear off after some time..." Maximillion said to Sabres and after he completed his sentence, the man transformed back to his original form, the form of the scary but deadly strong man he was. "See?" Maximillion said with a smile on his face, though an emotionless voice, as always.

Meanwhile, Manta was looking towards Sabres with curiosity... That was interesting... Extremely interesting. Sabres had a technique that allowed him to increase his body size slightly and turn into a scary fighter. That looked good... Very good, especially because of the fact that his chicken beams could backfire and turn Manta, as well, into a chicken. If he gained knowledge of that technique, maybe he could be able to adapt his own battling style to a chicken form and turn to a stronger fighter than he was. It looked like the interaction with the Black Cross Pirates was actually turning the Dusk Pirates to a stronger force than they already were.

With in the intervention of Maximillion, Quincy stood down from the fight. Maximillion was the only person who could stop quincy by only using words. His injuries were mild to say the least, so no harm no foul. Quincy would also heal anyone who was hurt. "Master Maximillion, are we going to form an alliance?" Quincy asked. With the strength of these two crews, they could rule the new world. Quincy could almost giggle at the thought "Because if we are I would like to experiment on the lighting guy. His power hold great potential. Bwahahahah"

Sabres sits down loudly, and merely groans at Maximillion's commenting about the effects of the Yoko Yoko no Mi wearing off. He seems ticked off, probably an expected thing, after spending some time as a pink chicken.
Dude simply moves his hand towards Manta, probably distracting him from his thoughts about Sabres's powers. "Let's shake up and forget about this." he says, grinning, thought it's obvious that he doesn't really mean a word, he just says so for the tension to go away. Or simply for the captains to forget the incident.
Wally simply takes a gulp of sake from his gourd, and replies, cutting Maximillion before he responds to Quincy's question. "We already are in an alliance! And you guys will see some really big ass magic as time goes by, isn't that right, mate?" he says, turning to the captain of the Dusk pirates.

Maximillion (With the whole crew of the Dusk Pirates, Wally, Sabres and Dude)

"Whatever." Manta said a few seconds after Dude spoke to him and grinned. "Chkchkchkchkchkchkchk!!!" he laughed afterwards and he started speaking "As long as my brother and his friend wanted us to stop, I can do nothing more but to listen.". Manta was so faithful to Maximillion that he would always do what he commanded, even if that went against his own desires. And now, he had no other option but to obey so that he would please him.

On the other hand, Maximillion was not actually paying attention to his brother. He was listening to the conversation between Wally and Quincy. Quincy questioned if the Dusk Pirates were going to form an alliance with the Black Cross Pirates! That was so funny! Quincy was always forgetting that. The two crews had gone through some incidents together and yet he forgot that... Well, that was Quincy... Especially now that because of the steroids his original self was that of an old man. "Quincy... You should cut down on the drugs... We are allies with the Black Cross Pirates ever since our crew started! Did you forget the times you met with them?!" Maximillion said. He stopped talking for a second and he continued "The only thing you have yet to speak is that you had green hair! Hmphmphmphmphmphmph!" he made a stupid joke and then he turned his head towards Wally. "Right, Wally." he said and then he looked towards the sky which was full of thunders. "They will really see some magic..." he finished.

Upside Down Root Island
"Take a break now, boy." Suigo calmly orders his new student, after about 3 hours of non-stop, intense training. Suigo gets up, and places his large katana over his shoulder, holding the gourd on his other hand, dangling close to the rocky surface he was standing, held by some strings. He turns and begins to walk on the opposite side from where Maha was training, only for his eyes to widen a bit, as he stops moving, and stares at a pair of shadowy figures.
"You are.." Suigo says.

As she saw her captains appear, Ellen merely shrugged to herself, knowing fully well a battle between these allied crews would obviously end without any casualties. Afterall, they wouldn't stay as allies if it did.
She merely stood as a bystander, doing her best to stiffle the cackles as Sabres clucked, and rolled her eyes at Quincy's forgetfulness, and finally looking puzzled as Wally and Max kept mentioning some magic.
She cleared her throat before asking; "Hey captain, why did ya call the Black Cross over? Doubt it's so they can share the work load, so is there a battle coming up? Ooooh ares some of them new 'materials' for my art? I do long for the chance to once again launch my spectacular crafted wonders of sparks and flames!", seeming a bit distant in her last sentence, smiling into empty space.

Maximillion (With the Dusk Pirates, Wally, Dude and Sabres)

Maximillion turned his head towards Ellen and he took a very serious look on his face, the usual serious but emotionless look he would always have most of the times he was speaking. "Do not ask silly questions..." Maximillion said to Ellen and he started explaining "Me and Wally are having some business to discuss. That is why the Black Cross Pirates are staying with us for some time. Until we finish our preparations, we are going to stick together for a while. In other words, it means that all of you will have to stay along with our fellow allies and of course, DO NOT HAVE ANY BATTLES WITH THEM!". The last part of Maximillion's speech was said for every member of the Dusk Pirates, maybe everybody except Lappy. All of them were ferocious guys and they were stupid enough to try to challenge their own allies. Maximillion had to make it clear that he did not allow that.

"You heard the man, especially you Sabres." Wally seriously tells to his own crewmates, but instead they begin to actually protest to their captain about it, even calling him "a scared-cat".
"How else can we bond with our new "brothers"?! Fighting is the way!"
"I still want to beat up the chicken-guy! You brat!!"
"Shut up you idiots!" Wally yells, and delivers a punch on Dude's face straight on, sending him flying, and then he laughs it off, alongside Dude!
A pair of Wally's crew watch this, commenting with each other.
"Boy, those two really know how to make captain look like an idiot.."
"Sometimes, I wonder if they realize their position.. or realize they look stupid when they are that .. weird."

Two vessels, once underwater escape pods; more or less mini submarines awaited the members of the alliance when they entered the docking bay. One was for Emily, Koga, and Tsujo's; the other was for Iken, Jiper, and Volt. Once the vessels surfaced, Tsujo, Iken, and Volt would get out and head to their positions. Emily, Koga, and Jiper would all then proceed to the side of the island they had been assigned to. This was it, this was the time of reckoning.

Iken stepped into the small pod, for someone his size it was a bit cramped; not to mention they were stuffing three people in. However this was the best decision, the enemy would be more likely to notice them if there were more vehicles. Once the other two had climbed in and the other vessel was ready, the airlocks sealed behind them. Slowly the room filled with water as the outside doors opened exposing them to the ocean. The torrent of water rushing in from the doors caused the pods to shake and rattle a bit, but nothing serious. A small light inside the pods kicked in and the motor began to hum slightly just before the pods took off. Lurching forward at first the rest of the ride was smooth as the vessel took the crew up towards the surface at a moderately slow speed.

Stopping with only a minimal portion of the ships showing, Iken stood the best he could in the small space however still hunched over. With out a second of hesitation he opened the hatch causing a gust of fresh sea air to blast everyone inside. The salty air and droplets of ocean water felt nearly as refreshing and rejuvenating as the moment Iken was able to stand up straight. Stretching for a moment Iken cracked his neck revealing some of the built up pressure. It felt great. A few seconds later Iken was completely out of the vessel and began sky walking upwards towards the raining lightning. From above he could see the hatch of the other vessel open as well as Volt exiting the vessel he had just been in. As he rose higher into the air the lightning began to attract to him more and more. Eventually it almost seemed that the lightning was aiming at him directly, however for Iken, this wasn't a problem. Pulling out his sword Iken swung it upwards as a bolt of lightning was about to strike. The sword adsorbed some of the energy while displacing the rest. Splintering off in various directions, it almost looked like Iken had just cut a bolt of lightning.

Meanwhile, Jiper was going with the mission he was assigned. The former marine admiral, from another direction than that of Iken, as soon as he got out from his pod, he was sky walking by using his Geppou technique. Unlike Iken who was swiftly swinging his sword in order to cut down the lightnings, the former admiral was doing something else. With his master Soru, that was surpassing that of most Soru users and combined with his Kami-E technique, he was running through the sky and he was dodging the lightnings that were falling right next to him, one after another. Jiper could be seen in the sky like a beast that was made of lightning who was easily marching through the sky without even getting hit by a single lightning. "Refreshing..." he said as it had been a very, very long time ever since the man used those techniques and did stuff like these. "This brings back memories. Sweet memories." the man said and images from the battle of Enies Lobby against Anubis and his forces came to his mind, as well as the battle of Impel Down along with Lucifer, the late warden, against the crew of the now dead yonko Seshomaru who was once an ally of Anubis. "Oh yes! I am still young!" he said and he took a deep breath, causing a loud screech because of his breathing mask. "Oops."

In little to no time, the man had already reached the place where the basement of the Dusk Pirates could be seen. After all, from the sky, he could easily see very easily and with no obstacles in front of him, he could arrive right there in little to no time. The basement was not difficult to find out. Maximillion had the basement built at a cliff on the island. It was looking like a dome that was made of rubber, although there were some openings in the rubber dome so that the Dusk Pirates could see towards the sea and also receive the light of the lightnings of Raijin Island. Around the dome there were four huge lightning rods which were also serving as means of protection from the infinite thunders of Raijin Island.

Jiper quickly run and he stopped using his Soru, as soon as he reached the middle of the rubber dome from outside. He stood on the air and looked towards the dome with a smile on his face. Well, the smile could not be seen because of his breathing mask, but his cheeks were slightly raised. Lightnings were falling around him, but the man would simply avoid them based on his instinct that made him use his Kami-E technique all the time. "Oh, oh, oh... I am already there? Iken needs some time... Oh well, screw everything. I am attacking!" the man said and he raised one of his legs. He swiftly moved it, launching a large rankyaku, twice his size, that was moving towards the rubber dome and cut a part of it pretty easily.

Maximillion (With the Dusk Pirates, Wally, Dude and Sabres)

"Huh?" Maximillion said as a loud sound was heard. He turned his head towards the direction where the sound was coming from and he looked at a hole at the rubber dome, as well as an air blade. "Does the sky launch air blades around here..." he said with a calm voice that changed to an angry voice "OR ARE WE GETTING ATTACKED?!" he finished and he used his Shockwave to move himself in the sky and see what was going on!

Ellen stood at attention to Maxulus in a sign of understanding, though admittedly grumbled under her breath that she didn't have anyone for target practise. Her demeanour swiftly changed to sheer shock as the dome of th Dusk's basement was suddenly struck, though realisation of what happened left her in fury.
"Goddamnit! Who do they think is going to have to fix that?!?! I hated every second of helping build that stupid thing! Where's the jerk who attacked it? I'm gonna launch a face full of fireworks at him!" she bellowed in anger, her eyes searching wildly or the culprit.

Wally tilts his head, and watches Maximillion as he begins to ascent towards the skies. Taking a deep breath, he forms a wide grin on his face, and turns towards Dude. "Hm, you know what you are supposed to do in such a situation." He says, and Dude responds with a node, also grinning, before he turns towards the men gathered there. "All of you are to get the hell away from here! Go on and inform the "Docking Dudes" to remain on the ship; it seems we have some company!" The men are stunned at first, as all this, from being completely casual and stupid, to serious and ready to combat an unknown force was quite a drastic change of moods, but they quickly catch up and begin to move, alongside Dude, who dashes, but towards another direction, and towards the ship.
Sabres merely looks towards the dark clouds above the skies of Raijin, before he lets out a laugh. "Guess they don't like newcomers in the New World! Ahahaha, chicken-boy, weird dope old timer, let's go smash the heads of anyone that dares to set foot in this island!" he yells, referring to Manta and Quincy, displaying, like Dude and Wally, little to no concern or fear, despite them not knowing a thing about what was going on.

Maximillion (going towards Jiper)

Maximillion was moving with great speed towards the direction where the air blade came from. With some quick maneuvers, the man reached a high point of the sky and he passed through the cut part of the rubber dome, ultimately getting outside of the basement. He had an emotionless, yet very scary look on his face that could make somebody wonder whether the man actually did not have emotions or if he did. When he got outside of the basement, he immediately noticed the figure that was responsible for the attack. The figure could not be clearly understood from afar. After all, that man had changed significantly from the last time that Maximillion saw him. He had changed a lot since the battle of Atlantis... He had that mask in his face that made him look very different and he had changed the way he was dressing himself.

However, after paying close attention to the man, Maximillion started coming to realization about the man's identity. His eyes twitched at the presence of the man who was none other than a former marine admiral, a guy with insane power and great abilities. "You... You are..."

"Yes. That is me!" Jiper said and he started scratching his face. "Former Marine Admiral Jiper Juicest. It's been a long time, Maimou.".

Manta (with most members of the Dusk Pirates and Sabres)

"Wait... We have to inspect the enemy first." Manta said with a serious voice to Sabres.

"Aint got no time for this!" Sabres responds back yelling, but not looking at Manta, instead looking at the cut formed by that previous aerial assault. He then pushes his legs towards the ground, grabbing his thighs tightly. Then, his muscles over there, at his legs, expand, his structure seems to change a bit. As if his legs drew some of the arm muscle! It was Life Return. "Spring Break!" he yells, and leaps at incredible strength and speed, going airborne, and heading towards Maximillion's direction.
