((Serious)) Pheonix Squad Chronicles: The return of the Red Sun threat ((Open to everyone, but especially Pheonix squad members))

Light watched as Talitha had almost been punched by a very powerful molten fist. If her attack had Bitten into his heel he would be unable to move. Taking his leg in the air he made a basic Rankyaku aiming at the opponents Torso yet again, Light was realizing the pattern of things, Talitha was in front trying to do physical damage while Light stayed behind and attempted to Rankyaku the chances he had, all of which the opponent could dodge easily with his superior speed. Although the worst case being that after he dodges he could attack Talitha and eventually cause some serious harm.

After unleashing the Rankyaku Light semi smiled once he realized what had happened with Talitha. Light held a smirk in his mouth but hid his face with his hand. "I didn't see anything.." his mouth let a small chuckle, a normal person wouldn't have heard it. He remembered how she was the cruelist person he could have thought about, and lost his smile almost instantly.

Jack slowly staggered himself up, his marine uniform weighed down by the water, his right hand placed on the top of his hat before pulling his goggles over his eyes.
“Time to eradicate the pirates! E-E-Erad--….Wait, where are all those pirates? Did everyone take one to fight for themselves?!” He growled, saddened that he might not have a pirate to capture.
Jack adjusted his brass knuckles and tosses his marine coat to the ground, revealing a tattoo on his chest written “Radical Jack” with a marine insignia above the letters. His muscles bulged, his eyes attentively shifted from one area to another to see if he would be able to find himself a pirate. “No way in hell am I going back to Miss Blythe empty handed.” He muttered to himself, continuing his trek in search of pirates to capture. His red eyes glinted through the shadows which his hat shadowed, a small yet maniacal laughter left his lips as he stood there with no short, his tattoo showing and his brass knuckles fastened to his hands. He had a holster down by his thigh containing a pistol and a few other weapons which would be useful if he were to get his hands on a pirate.

raymond was just standing there looking to the action from the ship.
''that's a mighty fine crew you have there Nishki''
Raymond had a neutral face expression and looked at the battlefield(at-least as far as he could see).
''asking permission to enter the battlefield'',said Raymond at a cheery way,he seemed happy that they were fighting a strong pirate crew.

[[Vince vs Dockerty]]
Dockerty sighed and then pointed his gun at Vince "You have got to be kidding me rookie, there is no way ill fall for that old trick of having to look to the sky......." He fired twice at Vince but for some reason missed his shots completely.

[[Tero vs Bully Bill]]
The wind force only slightly nicked Bill, he adjusted himself and dashed foward, in the same pattern as before , but at that point Tero had used soru and was behind him, he diligently forced his sword behind his back and blocked Teros slash, causing a low gale of wind around. Bully Bill was struggling to hold on to his sword due to Teros power "I see, you got loads of power....."


[[Xavier vs Talitha and Light]]
Xavier was cursing, it was hard taking on two of them at once. The girl had just turned into a cat like thing and the other one was using rokushiki. It was tough. He then punched the ground, causing two molten circular discs to block Talithas possible frontal attacks and the back attacks. But Xavier needed to get into a long range attack, so he can hit them with something good.

[[Pirates vs Jack]]
Some pirates were trying to surround Jack, trying to stab and shoot at him. They found it hard to take on such a intimidating marine, but they had no choice at this point.

[[On the phoenix squad ship]]
Nishki grinned as he watched the battles, though he nearly died of anxiety when Talitha was nearly hit by that attack earlier. But now he was fine. He then realised he couldnt see Tero or Vince. Which was strange, those two were very strong , its strange that they werent done yet. He then turned to Raymond "Nah, we should wait, if you get involved too early, Tali would never let me live it down, let them fire the flares as planned....."

[[Near the area where Shelly was]]
Shelly was looking at the final coffin, she wasnt going to release this one till later, it was still too early, plus the first two zombies werent defeated yet. That was good.

"I'm not the only one," Tero replied, having to strain somewhat to hang on. "What kind of technique was it that you used on me just a moment ago? It broke through my tekkai like it was nothing..." As he was saying this he reached down and took hold of his gun, drawing it from its holster. "Scratch that. I don't really care." He raised his gun to aim at the man's face and fired it at what was practically point blank range, the bullet coming out of its barrel with the force of a cannon blast.

Talitha was actually kind of thankful when she was blocked by a disk thing and had to retreat in a small leap backwards. Biting that guys ankle hadn't been very inviting anyway....
Not that that meant he wasn't going down, of course! Talitha tranformed back into her hybrid form, kneeling on the ground for a moment. The sides were blocked, so...
She jumped off the ground and into the air, claws ready to attack whatever spot they could find, clawing his eyes out if she had to. Actually, that seemed to be a good idea.... Better than starting an aerial attack on someone who could do serious damage in just one attack, not to mention one defensive action... She didn't have anywhere to dodge up in the air, but those thoughts never crossed her mind.

"Nobody ever does," Vince replied flatly in response to the ashen Admiral's insult. "Nobody...ever really does."

When the corpse-like figure drew it's gun, Kalamity had readied himself to dodge. It was easy for him to tell, though, that the bullets had not been specifically aimed at him; both whizzed by harmlessly. The fact that a man who seemed to be a ranking leader amongst such a powerful crew would miss twice at such close range was troubling. The rear admiral couldn't help but feel like something was wrong.

Still, there was nothing to do about that but wait and see. Drawing back Light and Moon, Vince surged forward, gliding along effortlessly at breakneck speeds over the goopy toxin he'd coated the area with in his initial barrage. As soon as the gaunt old man was in striking distance, the cyborg swordsman brought his arm forward in a powerful lateral slash, the forward of the two blades racing at Dockerty; whether it hit or missed, the aft blade would follow shortly behind.

"You'd think for once, somebody might humour me and just look up," complained the inhuman Rear Admiral as he launched his attack, the words rolling from his ruined mouth in a dry, grating rasp. "It's not really all that big of a deal."

Jack narrowed his eyes as he saw a bunch of pirates dashing towards him, he swiftly drew his gaunlet up into the air, the bullets striking the plate and then dropping to the sandy grounds. He swiftly drew his pistol from it's respective hostler and started to fire, aiming at their legs. He struck three of them, though, using a total of ten bullets to do so. He took a swift leap backwards as one slashed their katana towards him but another one was in close distance, lunging forward and striking the blade against's Jack's cheek.

Blood dripped down, a large smile etching across his face as he snickered, swiftly bringing his arm out and grabbing the pirate's head with his hand and smashing it against the gaunlet, the pirate falling unconcious. He swiftly pounced forward onto the other pirate, landing atop him and began smashing his fists again the pirate's face. "Hah... Hahah... HAHAHAHAH!!!!" Jack's laughter ripped into the air, a large wide smile showing across his visage.

He began to round up all the unconcious and injured pirates and attempted to tie them to a pole via rope and have the other marines collect them later on.

[[Tero vs Bully Bill]]
Bill lifted his sword up while holding stance and twirled in position to absorb the power of the shot while he flung back. His zombie strength and flexibility made it simple for him to take the blow of the attack. He then flexed his body and cracked his neck. "You know Tekkai Kenpo? Well when i was in the marines i made a slight evolution of that, the thing is, unlike Tekkai Kenpo, this thing involves hardening of the muscles and the joints. I use my muscle movements and use momentum to crush through. Its hell to be mobile using this thing, but its power is equal to none, i call it Bully run..... get ready, its like a steam roller...." Bill again got into stance and pointed his two long katana outwards, his body hardening as he blasted to the front to impale and demolish Tero.

[[Xavier vs Light and Talitha]]

Xavier couldnt pay attention to Light because of Talithas movements, she definitely was experienced in fighting, Xavier was all sorts of pissed at the moments, he extended his arms "STEEL STREAM!!!" HE fired two aerial streams of molten steel into the air aimed at Talitha.

[[Vince vs Dockerty]]
"Hey, ill let you in on something rookie.... im a zombie....." He let moved back allowing the blade to smash the ground, he then met the second lateral strike with his axe, which he blocked single handedly. He looked To Vince with amusements "A cyborg eh, the navy sure has changed since my day.... i think, i kinda forgot what being a marine is like..... hey , how is it now days rookie? ..." his tattered old vice admiral coat was flowing in the back as the wind blew.

"Very interesting," Tero commented mildly as Bill rushed him. He looked very calm and showed no signs of trying to avoid the attack. "However, I think I have found a weakness in your strategy."

Bill was almost on top of Tero, his blades about to slam into the giant man. At just about the last possible second, Tero used soru and jetted away, appearing off to the side while Bill charged through the space where Tero had been before. Tero continued to look calm and picked up his explanation where he had left off.

"You see, your attack relies on the fact that your opponent will not be able to stand up after the first blow," said Tero. "If they do get up and are able to move, then it is a simple matter for them to sidestep the attack. With all that forward momentum, there is little else you can do except keep right on running." Tero turned to watch Bill, smiling as he did so. "I don't know when you developed that technique, but it seems to me that you are a little out of date. At one time your level of speed might have made up for your technique's disadvantages, but most people nowadays would find you to slow for words."

Tero was feeling pretty smug at this point. Sure, he hadn't really been able to really hurt Bill yet, but if this was all that the man had to offer, then he had this fight in the bag.

With the battles on the shore already being taken care of. Simo decided to head off towards the town. It seemed that the Phoenix Squad gave a lot of leeway with its crew members and let them do whatever. All that this meant to Simo is that he had the right to use initiative. So he headed off towards the town in hopes of finding some of the Red Sun pirates to defeat and look good for the Commander and Admiral.

Light Took out his leg in an attempt to kick the air, having watched Talithas movements closely he waited for the perfect time to assist her, Light swung his leg taking out a Rankyaku attack, his attempt was to hit the stream aiming at Talitha, after the attack he made a second Rankyaku but this time with Shuriken on it, the attack was also aimed at the stream. With this she would hopefully get enough time or have an opening to attack him, since she wouldn't have to focus on defending rather to continue attacking. While staying behind Light tried to find an opening for him to attack or kill the enemy... so far he could not find any, using his Rankyaku technique from a distance seemed to be the only thing he could do to help, especially with both his Index fingers burned to muscle tissue.

Vince hadn't really expected to land either of his blows so early in the fight; using only the two blades of Light and Moon, the cyborg's goal at the moment was simply to gauge his enemy's strength. All the same, the decrepit-looking old man's speed was a bit greater than he'd expected. The same could be said of the ex-Vice Admiral's strength; though the back-slash was weaker than the first, blocking it so casually was no small feat.

Everything became much more clear when Dockerty explained that he was actually a zombie. True enough, upon double-checking his sensors, Kalamity saw that the man lacked any real signs of life; his heat signature was far too low, there was no pulse nor signs respiration. Among the vast databases of trivial information that the Science Division had installed into his half-artificial brain was a catalogue of known cursed fruit abilities and their observed powers. Searching his supplemented memory for the term 'zombie,' the cyborg marine found a match in the Kage Kage no Mi.

"We make fine dance partners, old-timer," stated Vince, information about his foe's condition freshly loaded into his short-term memory. "Both of us are already dead, our bodies kept animated by the power of the Akuma no Mi."

Pressing the blade of his sword against the zombie's axe, Vince used the force to hop back a few meters. Once disengaged, the Rear Admiral's torso began to exude a glossy, translucent black goop. Beneath the left side of his officer's coat, a mass of gelatinous toxin began to seethe and writhe as it grew from the armless stump of his shoulder. A quartet of sleek, dripping wet, black arms flung the sleeveless left half of the venom-man's coat back, each identical to the solid arm on his right.

"A rookie like me couldn't tell a seasoned veteran like you much about being a marine," answered Kalamity, each of his four toxic arms reaching back over his shoulder.

The topmost arm drew his katana while the second one down took up the oversized trench knife. Both the third and fourth freshly-created arms took hold of the massive hilt of the cyborg's greatsword, wielding the enourmous blade in unison. Facing his un-dead foe, all four of his meitou drawn and ready, Vince entered the unorthodox stance of Toki no Tsurugi.

"You'll just have to determine that for yourself, gramps," rasped the cyborg swordsman. "It's nothing a green-gill like me can explain with just words"

it was as Talitha had not anticipated, but as the animal inside her had feared. No room to dodge, she was in midair, and there was molten steel coming right at her.
her first, weird and illogical instinct was to roll up into a ball, protect her midst with her arms and turn her back. But that would have been very, very deadly, or at least painful, and her experience told her she should most likely avoid it.
So, after her arms twitched towards her midst for a moment, she instead went with the strategy her human side was suggesting in the back of her head: when in doubt, change forms.
Even while her body shifted into the smaller and lighter lynx form, she knew the one second thinking about her stomachs safety for some reason had been one second too long.
But then, suddenly, the stream on her one side was hit by something, and, a moment later, so was the second one. Talitha wasn't even interested in knowing the cause of it, too focused on keeping the attack going. Once she got close enough, she struck out at his face with her left claw, aiming to at least cause some pain, at best take his eye.

(Just wondering, would my guy be able to control his liquid metal since I have the Magnetism devil fruit or no)
Sun punched the last pirate to the ground and looked at his superiors. They were fighting but one man but he looked like he may be winning. Sun grew pissed at this and thought of a way to help them. He would have to fight from a distance and act as support. If he got anywhere near this guy he would be destroyed.

He jumped up on to a roof that had a little distance from the battle and began using his powers to gather all of the nearby metal to him. He fired a few swords at the molten steal man to see if he could distract him for a bit.

[[Bill vs Tero]]

"How true, if only i wasnt a undead being, this fight would be way easier wouldnt it?" Bill thrusted his feet into the earth turning his leg in a 360 degree angle, his bone twisting as he felt no pain, like a spring he was lunged at Teros side direction to clash with him. "human beings feel strains and limitations on their muscles as they attempt to achieve such speeds and flexibility, but i being dead do not have any of those issues...."He aimed to gore Teros chest right down the middle.

[[Simo vs Gerald]]
The town was pretty empty, except for the man sitting in the middle. Gerald was his name. There was bodies around him and blood dripping from his hands "Welcome...... you should not have come here... i dont want to have to kill someone so young....." Gerald had said sadly. The pirates were manning the entrances except for the entrance where Simo entered. He was about to face the leader of the Red Sun.

[[Xavier vs Talitha, Light and Sun]]
Xavier saw his attacks get sliced by wind blades, he felt the metal harden and get pulled to another marine who was on the battle field. He cursed his luck , he had no control over metal, only the molten liquid that made the metal. He then finally felt Talithas claws along his face, cutting through his left eye. He howled in utter agony as he twirled "MY EYE!!! FUCK!!!!!!" /he swerved wildly firing molten metal around the area.

[[Vince vs dockerty]]
Dockerty then aimed his gun while holding his axe "Hey... now that your all serious and everything, i was actually hoping you wont look up and you wont look behind you....." He fired his gun twice into the sky making two clicking noises. He then let out a sly grin "If i were you, i would not take two steps back...."

There was no way for Vince to really know exactly what his opponent was up to. The combination of his odd, cryptic warnings and bizarre actions made in impossible for the cyborg to guess what was coming. First he'd missed his shots on purpose; now he was firing blanks into the sky. Were his warnings a mind game? Kalamity didn't know if the old man was using reverse psychology or just messing with him.

"Instead, I'll take a step to the left," Vince answer, taking a quick step towards his left side. The marine focused on his surroundings, trying to see if there was something funny going on.

"And then a jump to the right!" the demihuman Rear Admiral rasped, hopping in the other direction.

His feet landed on a glob of poison, exactly as he'd intended. In the blink of an eye, his form was carried away from the zombified ex-marine, standing nearly a dozen meters away, off to the right of where he'd been before.

Rather than launch an attack, Vince carefully watched the area he'd been standing a moment ago. Something about the old man didn't sit right with the marine officer. If he could somehow see or figure out what his opponent was up to, it would be much easier to attack later down the road. For now, he'd remain on the defensive until he knew what that rotting old zombie had up his sleeve.

[[Vince vs Dockerty]]
Dockerty grinned again as he then said "Have you heard of gas before? Do you know what happens when gas and fire meet?" By this time, the gas had spread to the area surrounding Vince, Dockerty clicked a barrel and fired, a jet of fire spewed out and set the area where Vince was into a blazing inferno . Dockerty walked back, it wasnt that easy, it never was, this man was at least at the class of a Vice or Rear Admiral. Dockerty waited patiently.

Simo took a fighting stance with his trident. "You fiend, how could you kill all these people. I'm going to have to take you down." Leaping towards Gerald while shooting jet streams from his feet Simo lunged at Gerald aiming to spear his chest with the trident.

"Of course I know what gas is," Vince replied without hesitation. "But seeing as I lack a digestive tract, I assure you that whatever you're smelling wasn't me."

When Dockerty pulled his little flame thrower trick, though, the rear admiral realized that he'd been speaking of another sort of gas. As massive, rolling front of the inferno raged towards him, Kalamity's jaw opened to let out a trio of humourless, grating words.

"Oh. That gas."

Sadly for the cyborg, the flames were covering almost the whole area his poison had spread over, making his Walk of Death pretty useless in the circumstances. There was no telling how far that flaming burst would spread to when it had all ignited; dodging or jumping could backfire. There was a decision to be made and Vince had only a fraction of a second to make it. The choice came to him with little difficulty.

In that fleeting moment from the time the gas had been lit to the time it had turned the battlefield into an inferno, the Rear Admiral's form had begun to swell and ooze with black poison. Rather than run from the blaze, Vince ran head-first into it. Gas fires were intensely hot and violent, but spent themselves in a single moment of glory. Taking the flame-front head on, there'd be a moment of blazing heat, followed by the empty air where the gas had already burnt out.

Kalamity could feel the protective coating of poison bubble and hiss, boiling away from him almost instantly. His coat and sarong were singed and blackened. Though he could feel no pain, his sensors told him that the brief contact had caused the metal he was mostly made of to heat up considerably. While there was no skin left exposed on his body anywhere other than his jaw, if the metal heated up too much it would cook his brain and every other remaining organic part of his body. Vince didn't think that would be too much fun.

The moment he'd burst from the flames that had been concealing him, the marine surged forward towards the zombie pyromaniac and launched an immediate counter-offensive. Keeping Light and Moon by his side to block, Vince attacked with the tree swords on his right side. With Bloodkindle he threw a lighting-fast volley of jabs. The greatsword, Earth Shaker, swung down at the man from straight above. Last to swing was Matsuri, his katana, which arced low in a lateral sweep at the man's legs.

"I've lived through hotter flames," Vince informed the zombie ex-marine as he launched his attack, black eye disk gleaming in the dying brilliance of the fire. "I was born in the inferno, chrah hrah hrah!"

Aha, one eye down, one to.... oh wait, what was he.... Shit!
Talitha pushed herself off her opponent, though not far, she was happy to have covered the distance, and ducked under the... projetiles he was firing off randomly.
She hissed loudly, and her fur stood on end for a moment when one of them flew directly at her. She leaped aside just a moment late, and felt her shoulder burn when it was grazed by the molten metal.
Of course, her being her, she barely let that slow her down, and instead, showed her that this had to stop soon if they wanted to win this without any mayor injuries! This must be a bit like how it was for anyone else if she got mad...
Why that though formed in her head, she couldn't really explain, but who even cared right now!?
This time, she didn't jump, but instead stayed lose to the ground because even she could tell dodging was of greatest importane in situations such as this. Only when she was right in front of him did she quickly change into hybrid form and catapult herself from the ground and, keeping her hand straight instead of forming a fist, attempet to pierce his gut with her claws.

Bill was already coming back. Tero might have been able to dodge, had he been expecting such a quick turnaround. Unfortunately for him, he wasn't ready for it and the swords slammed into his chest just as he was starting to kick the ground to use soru. This failed in just about every way. Tero did get out of Bill's path, but with the swords planted in his chest, when he dashed back, he tore the holes open even larger.

Tero hit the ground, not even managing to stay on his feet. Blood began to leak from his chest and pool out over the ground. His eye flickered weakly and then closed. He was so tired...in so much pain...more than he could handle...darkness was swooping into the corners of his vision...was he...dying...living...existing...so much pain...what was he...doing...lying here...like this...without...anything...to live for...should he die...or live...

In Tero's pain filled mind, images of the past began to filter in. Memories of the time before he was trained as a solider for the Marines. Memories, of his life before.

For so long, he had wanted to remember all of these things. They had been so precious to him, but now they seemed so unimportant. He had, in a way, replaced them with new memories. His time with Phoenix Squad, and before it as well, had given him many great memories. Nishki, Talitha, Vince, and everyone else. They were all so precious to him. Precious enough to die for.

Tero's eyes opened and he stood up. He was standing on the brink of death and he could feel it. Both of his hands were quivering. With fear? Yes...but he was not afraid that he would die. Just that he would fail in his mission. Since joining the crew he hadn't been able to win any important fights. He had lost, over and over again. But that would change right here and right now.

"You think that you're dead?" Tero said, his voice hoarse. He chuckled and looked up at Bill. "Funny you should say that...now which one of us looks more like a zombie?" He turned his sword around and stabbed it down into the ground. Then he raised his gun. "I'm coming at you with just this," Tero informed him. "It's a high powered pistol with the strength to punch through steel from close range. Allow me to test its usefulness against your ultimate defense."

[[Gerald vs simo]]
A wall of red liquid formed in front of Gerald, he coughed as he didnt move, his wall blocking Simo. He then lifted up his arm as two scythes formed from the wall aimed at impaling Simo from the sides. If simo could smell the wall he would have know that it was blood.

[[Vince vs Dockerty]]

Dockerty was annoyued, this thing was machine mostly, not even human flesh. dockerty aimed his axe as he jumped to slam Vinces Katana into ground as he clashed with it. He then fired his pistol at close range , this time with a normal bullet.

[[Xavier vs Talitha and others]]
He coulndt see, he was wildly lunging but to no avail. He twisted and turned but missed Talitha as she slammed into his gut with claws. He yelped but then held Talithas arm ~IM GONNA MELT YOU B**CH!!!!!" He was ready to melt Talitha with his molten steel fist.

[[Bill vs Tero]]
Bill was shocked , he had not expected the marine to get up, he grinned as he positioned himself "for the first time since i have died i feel very excited , good, very good, all for the sake of Shelly sama, ill give you one last run"His muscles tensed as his body hardened for one more run, to impale Tero, it was literally a quick draw battle

Sun saw that the battle was turning their way. He could stop this guys metal from hitting people and the other two people would attack and they were very very powerful. He started to smile when the pirate was scratched in the eye until he caught the persons are who did it. As soon as the words came out of the molten steel pirates mouth Sun jumped down and collected the metal around him making a huge fist. He hoped the punch would put this guy down for good

Simo shot a jet stream out from his chest launching himself over the wall but no longer being close enough to stab Gerald. "A wall of blood, what kind of monster is this man. Well at least I know that he's a devil fruit user. Meaning I have the advantage with the seastone hidden in trident. I will have to hide it until I'm close enough to do some real damage," thought Simo. As he cleared the wall he cried out "Jet Shot!" launching a high speed stream from his left hand.
