((Serious)) Pheonix Squad Chronicles: The return of the Red Sun threat ((Open to everyone, but especially Pheonix squad members))

Jack's eyes carefully turned back towards Talitha, carefully taking heed from her words and swiftly turned on the sole of his shoes. "Right on." He grumbled, slowly walking towards the railing of the ship and looking down at the water, not scared of it at all due to the fact he had no devil fruit inside his body. The lieutenant adjusted his goggles onto his eyes and then leaped into the ocean. A small splash was made in the water as he leaped off the ship, his broad back moving forward slowly, he did afterall had enough room on his back to fit atleast one or maybe two devil fruit users on his back if they stood close to eachother.

He would speed forward after several seconds, with or without anyone on his back and would try to make it to the shore safely.

The Bunkers were in panic as the two marines were mowing down the cannons across the bunker. The pirates were panicking. Meanwhile on the phoenix squad ship. The marines were rushing to Talithas orders , they were stocking on the cannon and getting their weapons ready, standing in line in front of Talitha. Mary was leading the traffic rushing them to hurry to their positions. Nishki was laughing softly and sits back "As usual she is scary, well i cant last if you dont come near me for a month, so go wild, i wont get in the way......"

[[Mizuko town area]]
"All that smoke.... it looks bad for the beach boys....." It was Shelly who spoke, the man standing next to her holding the coffins was just remaining silent.
Gerald who was sitting in the town square sighed "So they were wiped out.., well i didnt think the power of a Admiral squad was coming here, but i guess the old man wants to end things huh....."

Xavier was standing on the pasture near the beach "KEHAHAHAHAHAAHAH COME LET ME KILL YOU NAVY SCUM!!! ITS TIME TO SETTLE MY SCORE WITH YOU PEOPLE!! AHAHAHAAHHAAHA"

Shelly could hear the laughter from her seat at the other entrance to the town and she looked to the sky, it was hazy thanks to the fire and cannon fire from the beach, but she could tell , the sun was going down, and now, it was time for the show.

Tero leaped over the edge of the ship and began bouncing towards the opposite shore, using geppou. He hurried himself along, wanting to get in on the action, and it didn't take long before he was setting down in the midst of the cannon wreckage. He hadn't been fired upon, so he just assumed that everything had been destroyed. Seeing as he didn't have anything better to do until he received further orders, he jumped up on top of the bunker, looking on ahead to try and get a little info on what was coming.

Light had killed the other 4 men very easily, simply using Rankyaku at them and snapping the guy whom was on his hands neck. Light had a very cold face while doing these things, even walking over the bodies without looking back. After finishing the current Mission objective he waited on the port, Having killed 10 of the gunners directly and hearing no more firings from the cannons Light had assumed the fight was over. He looked beside him to find Simo, but decided to ignore him until the mission was over, their time for talking and having fun was over.. Light was now ready for action only, and would most likely not reply to anyone.

Simo, Light had handled all the cannons on the shoreline. Tero landed just as Simo was destroying the last cannon. As he kept a lookout for anything else. Light and Simo lined up on the shore to watch the oncoming ship. Soon the rest of the crew would be in range and they would get more orders as to what to do next. Simo stood at attention waiting for Talitha to arrive and tell them what to do next.

Out of the corner of her eye, Talitha saw one of her men jump into the water, soon followed by Tero, who, judging by the splashes she could hear, was making his way to the enemy. Which is really what she should be doing. But what about the shi- At that point, she heard the pirate scum yell for them. A challenge, so obviously meant to provocate them.... It was working....
Fuck this! She was meant to be in that battle, right now!
"Mary, you take over here!"
She yelled while already on her way over the reiling, and onto the back of her transport, or where she estimated him to be. Luckily, she had estimated right, though the water was dangerously close to her, and she felt a small shiver just looking at it.
"Well? What are you waiting for, man! Go, go, go!"
She said to the man she now remembered was named Jack.

Jack grunted as Talitha landed on her back, his body slightly rocking but remaining stable. "Atleast loose a few pounds!" He thought inside his head but said the words. "Affirmative!"
Jack took no notice of Talitha calling him "man", possibly due to the fact he was too busy.
"Hang on tight, this will be one bumpy ride!" He growled beore using his hands to paddle through the water, the waves smashing against his strong body but he managed to stay sturdy. " He started to quickly use his feet, moving even faster through the water, almost like a torpedo. "We're almost at the shore!" He said to his superior, still hoping that he could get through the waters unscathed.

[[In the town]]

"CAPTAIN!!!! THE SHORELINE FORCES HAVE BEEN DESTROYED!!!!" One of the pirates ran to Geralds seat in the town and fell before him. Gerald then took up a gun and fired two flares into the air. "Not to worry, its all going right , its time to mobilize the ground forces. Stay out of Xaviers way, unless you want to die......."

[[near the shore, just above]]
Xavier stood alone and held both his arms up "BRAVE LITTLE MARINES TO MAKE IT HERE TO DIEEEEE!!!!!" Molten steel was extending from his hands, he formed them into arrows, while in liquid form and launched a volley of arrows at Talitha and the shore party.

[[Near Town]]
Shelly pointed to the ground , signalling to her husband where she wanted to coffins put down. Her husband grunted and placed the 3 coffins along the ground. The moon was fully up, and night had come, finally she was ready.

Simo turned around to hear a man screaming. As he faced the man a volley of Molten arrows were being shot towards him. Screaming as loud as he could he created a cone of sound and air deflecting the arrows heading for him. However the volley was also aimed at the approaching commander and party. "Crap! I'm not going to be able to deflect those." Simo thought as he noticed too late that Talitha was coming ashore.

"...Soru" Light appeared in front of the boat/man with Talitha on board. Taking his feet back with both hands in his Pockets light sent a powerful kick towards the arrows, Making a more powerful Rankyaku do to the excessive force he put on it. The rest of the arrows were destroyed, but the mans powers were one of superior quality, Light was not in a position to fight him with the protection of the people behind him... After remembering the women was a Rear Admiral Light Soru'd next to the Molten steel opponent. "Shigan Barrage.." Taking out his Fingers Light made a continuous attack of Shigans at the opponent, making one go after another in an attempt to hit his shoulder or heart in the process, the attacks were fast and in a continuous barrage of them.

Light had a serious face while doing this

Tero used soru to dash back to Simo, using the open spot the man had created as a safe point for him to stand as well. Reaching down, the large man took hold of his nodachi and drew it from its sheath. He then turned his attention to the town, having already taken note that Light was fighting the man who had attacked them.

"I'll be back," Tero murmured just loud enough for Simo to hear. Then he was off again, dashing across the ground in the direction of the town while using soru repeatedly.

Tero had no intention of actually entering the town and attacking any pirates, unless one got in his way of course, but he still wanted to check things out. Maybe he could unveil an ambush or simply ruin it by being the only one around when it was tripped.

talitha would have said something along the lines of 'Don't get hit by those!', but before she could, the thought that if she had to tell anyone this, they'd probably didn't deseve their place as a part of the marine had taken over, and so she left it at clicking her tongue as if criticising the sloppy aim of her now fixed opponent.
"I'll be off."
She said to her transport, and indeed, off she was. The shoreline was close enough for her to jump now, and so she jumped, drawing her saber with one hand on her way to a quick attack. She landed just a foot or two away from the water, but didn't have time to think about that, instead she kicked her boots off, the shoelaces of which she had left untied in favor of a gut feeling telling her she wouldn't keep them on for long anyways. A Rear Admiral with untied shoes might not be such an intimidating thing, but it was practical, and anyone who wasn't afraid of her had only themselves to blame anyway.
The boots landed a bit away from her, but she didn't have time to fondly regard the fact they hadn't hit the water either, she was already on her way to the man she estiated to be the pirate around here, judging from the way he was shouting at the marines, telling them to die.
He was already engaged in a fight with that one annoying show off newbie, but Taliutha had never really cared for such things. One versus one fights were oldfashioned anyway.
And so she made an attack himself, keeping out of her forced partenrs way by simply attacking from below, unlike him, and slashing at his legs from close to the ground.

Simo was relieved that Talitha and the rest of the landing party had been undamaged. After Tero ran off to scout the town presumably, and Talitha and Light engaged the enemy. Simo didn't really have anything to do. Since he hadn't been given any orders he decided to watch for anymore potential threats and would engage them accordingly if they did appear.

[[Xavier vs Talitha and Light]]
Molten steel poured in front as he caught a flicker of Lights movement, having faced marines before, he was used to the speed of soru with his eyes. His Molten steel which flowed upwards, turned to steel, he then turned it again to hot molten steel, whne the shigan hit, his fingers would melt or at least be badly hurt. He was barely caught off guard by Talitha. He leapt into the air, his leg was grazed , with blood coming out, but at least not cut off, he drifted back and slid across the ground. "WHATS THIS?? A Rear Admiral and captain of the navy teaming up on me... i promised years ago i would murder every last one of you at Marineford, and today ill do it, plus we got Gerald, you people have no chance of victory!!!!"

[[The western entrance to town where Tero is]]
A lone figure stood at the entrance, he was wearing a Rear Admiral coat along with a suit, but his face was disfigured and his body looked strange as well. He had two long katana on each hand. "For Shelly sama, i live to serve........ you cannot pass here...."

Lights fingers were badly burned, his shigans were not strong enough to penetrate the thick and hot molten steel. Light stopped the attack with his fingers burned now, the attack had basically made his index fingers too weak to do any penetration. Light stood up tall, watching his enemy while showing his fingers flesh, If he had gone any deeper his fingers would've been permanently burned and worthless. Light jumped back 5 times, taking his leg back he made a very powerful kick through the air, making sure he aimed High as to not hit Talitha.

"Rankyaku" the attack was a powerful air slash aimed directly at the opponents upper chest, Light landed on the same leg he used to make the air slash and used the boots heel of the other leg to make another air slash coming at the opponent. Two Rankyakus were sent directly at the opponent.

Light had tried not to get into the Rear Admirals way, since she had earned her rank, the fact that she was that high in the ranks meant she had done something important, or many things. Although Light was quiet, he still had very high respect for his superiors. He was not going to lose this battle, especially not with a superior officer fighting with him.

Tero came to a stop in front of the man with the Rear Admiral coat. Tero's nodachi was being held in a nonaggressive position, down at his side. Even so, his grip on its hilt was firm and he was prepared to bring it up to defend himself at a moment's notice.

"You're a Marine," Tero commented, looking the man up and down. "Or rather, you were a Marine. Interesting...did you honestly change so much that you now defend pirates? Not that I'm knocking it. My own commanding officer tries my patience on a near daily basis."

It wasn't just small talk. Tero was honestly interested in what the man was thinking. Besides, he had come out here to get info and if he could get it directly from the source, all the better.

Talitha was about to move in for another slash, since this strategy seemed to be working rather well (when had been the last time she had gotten this far without changing to at least hybrid form? Eh, she couldn't remember. Could've been yesterday, actually...), and make it an aerial attack this time, but decided otherwise when she heard a familiar sound from behind. rankyaku. Knowingly, she stayed right where she was, nothing ruined days like this one quite like having a rankyaku shot at your back...
And it was already pretty bad, considering her stomach was acting up a bit again, and would most likely continue to do so.
When the rankyaku was just behind her, she dashed forward as well, making it a two way attack, but, instead of attacking her opponent from the front, stopped sharply right in front of him and darted sideways, aiming for his side this time.
"Who cares what you want!?"
She hissed. She had always hated that "Hey, let me tell you all about my sad childhood and motives and all that other crap that doesn't interest you in the least!" business some pirates did... Who cared why they were doing what they were doing, the fact that they were doing it was what was really important.
This smaller annoyance might have contributed to her not making any tries to incapitate him, and instead going for smaller, though painful wounds until now. Not a lot like her... But somehow, she was fired up, and wanted to cause some pain. And use her status as a marine officer for doing it? Didn't sound like her...

((Honestly, this always happens...I was watching this thread for like 6 weeks, checking in all the time to see if it was moving again. Lo and behold, I manage to miss it's re-start once again. Ehehehehe...))

Again there was the feeling that time had frozen. Kalamity stood in a trance, burnt jaw hanging open stupidly as the rain of iron spheres began it's descent on the marine battleship. The deck burst to life, each man and woman present doing their best to keep the ship safe; the ex-human officer did nothing. A frozen image of the admiral's face, set with reproach, was the only thing that he could see. Then the relentless barrage ceased, and the ship drew close enough to the shore for the landing party to disembark. Still, Vince did nothing.

All at once the past few minutes burst into life, a swirling rush of high-speed sounds and images flooding him almost too fast to make sense of until he'd been caught up to the present. Shaking his shoulders a bit, Vince made a note to talk to his doctors about these nagging lag spikes he kept getting. It would do him no end of bad to be caught with one in the middle of an important fight. Having just recovered, though, now was time to take action in this fight that had suddenly sprung up around him. He could talk to the doctors later.

Jumping up into the air above the deck, the lifeless black eye-disk on Kalamity's face rapidly scanned over the beach, taking in the sights. The bunker housing the cannon emplacements had already been destroyed. There seemed to be some pirate rank and file rushing out to meet the marines; the enlisted men would be good enough to cover that. The most obvious threat that the marine cyborg could find, the crazed molten-steel man, was already being handled by Talitha and some new guy with scorched fingers. Vince decided to leave her to her business (not that he had any choice, as she'd kick his ass if he attempted to interfere) and turned his sights inland a bit.

There was no way for him to tell from this distance who he should be focusing his attention on. The Red Sun had a number of powerful threats, Vince recalled, and as the third - fourth, with that blowhard Mountain hanging around - highest ranking officer of the outfit, there came to him a sense of obligation to personally deal with at least one. As ever, there was no sense of justice, no motivation to do right by the good people of the world. Motivated only by a sense of debt to the Marine Science Department and an intangible desire to reclaim as many stolen pasts as possible, the toxic cyborg decided that if he couldn't find somebody worth fighting, he'd help them find him.

Tightening his fist and leaning back, Vince made a horrible, hideous throat-clearing sound. The marines remaining on the ship all cringed and turned pale as the sound echoed out over the deck, a disgusting throaty sound like a thousand tons of the world's most vile mucus sliding along a gravel road. When at last he stopped, Kalamity lunged forward, leaning out of over the rail, his ruined jaw dropping open. A nasty wet 'hork' accompanied the projectile's launch from his mouth, it's goopy red mass soaring through the air towards the pirates rushing out from the town. It landed among them and burst from the force of it's impact, grunts and cries of disgust from the dozens of pirates who'd been splashed rising into the air.

Moments later, the single strand of red drool that had remained connected to Vince's scorched lower jaw dangled free, splatting quietly as it hit the guard rail. Vince stepped onto the strand and vanished from sight, only to reappear a split-second later at the ground zero of his toxic missile's impact zone. The rear admiral was surrounded by pirates, many of them howling in rage and anguish at the horrid stinging, burning rashes that the non-lethal toxin had created on every last square inch of skin it touched. Those who'd remained untouched did their best to keep away; the combination of the disgusting red slime and their crewmates' horrible discomfort, topped off with the cyborg's bizarre and grotesque appearance, were more than enough to keep them at bay.

"I apologize in advance," Vince informed the pirates he was standing amidst, drawing the double-bladed sword Light and Moon from his side, "for engaging in such one sided combat."

The pirates took the insult, ignoring the burn and itch of the officer's Walk of Death and charging forward to smack the cyborg down. Swinging the double-bladed sword in a broad arc around him, Vince cleanly gutted the handful of pirates who'd lead the charge. A similar swing in the opposite direction casually dispatched a like number, a small ring of corpses laying face down in a growing puddle of red blood and red toxin at the Rear Admiral's feet. The assault paused, the mooks deciding that it would probably be a bad idea to keep charging.

"I don't suppose somebody wants to come stop me before I kill too many of you?" Vince asked, resting one of the blades of his sword on the ground. His jaw tightened, his face as unreadable as it was unnatural. He'd kill some more, if he had to, but mostly the poisonman hoped something bigger and more threatening would pop out of the woodworks.

Sun had been on a small ship trying to catch up to the crew he had been assigned to. An admiral. He was going to be under the command of an Admiral and such a brave one to. He had seen the man fight once and it was spectacular. He would have continued to think about that fight but he saw the flames that was coming from the island. His face showed his surprise. He had to get there and do whatever he could as soon as possible.

He felt like it took a year but when he arrived he jumped on to the big ship. When he got up there he didn't see anybody. But when he turned towards the battle he saw a cannonball approaching the ship and he laughed. "Repel." and right after he said this the cannonball launched back at the shooter destroying the cannon and killing the shooter

Xavier shifted his body weight and dodged the rankyaku, and as Talitha came from his side , he dropped down and squatted as he cartwheeled backwards to safety. At this close range, he aimed a giant fist of molten steel at talithas face to the side.

[[Zombie Rear Admiral Bully Bill vs Tero]]
Bully Bill crouched downwards as he held both his long katana facing foward both parrarel to each other. He then ran foward keeping himself crouched. The gravity of his body and his size which was slightly bigger than Tero was dashing at such a high speed, he rammed right into Tero, aiming for his mid section. But Tero would have found one thing strange. IT was like a steam roller going against a glass plate.

[[Vince vs ??]]
Watching from a distance was another disfigured man who was the same size as Tero. This man was watching Vince. He had a interesting looking pistol on the left and a battle axe in his right hand. He holstered the gun and held his axe.He was a grizzeled old man with a massive scar across his face and with one white eye and one red eye. "Dont give up you swine, i have no loyalty to you fools but i have utter loyalty to my one and only Shelly sama...... Damn kids these days..." As one of the pirates were running away from Vince, the man took and his axe and swung at pirate , slicing him clean in two. "Deserters die, as simple as that" His torn Vice admiral coat flowing in the wind.

[[At the ship]]
Nishki saw the new party who entered and stopped the cannonball. He grinned. He tipped his cap and then pointed to the shore "Go, thats where your commanding officer is, her name is Rear Admiral Talitha, its getting busy so hurry."

It occured to Vince, as he watched the grizzly, pale-looking old man cleave his own subordinate in two, that he was likely dealing with a man who had stolen a wealth of pasts. The sort of callous indifference to life that let you mow down one of your own men - especially when they were doing the smart thing in running - usually came coupled with a very bloody past. Given the man's advanced years, the Rear Admiral was certain that it ran back a very long way.

"That's your way of dispensing with pleasantries, I guess," Kalamity stated, a sickly-sweet white mist rolling from his jaw as he spoke. "If we are to fight, there really isn't any need for them anyway. Just, one thing first..."

Still holding Light and Moon, Vince did his best to point straight upwards, tipping his head briefly in the same direction to make his instruction clearer.

"Please look up that way."

Sun nodded his head at the admiral and quickly dashed through the field but he kept getting blocked by small groups of pirates. He made quick work of them though usually turning there own weapons against them or when he felt really annoyed he got up close and personal. He finally arrived at the rear admirals position and saw the molten steel flying at her. He was about to run into the fray when a sword whizzed past his face. He saw another group of pirates and he was going to take no mercy on them...

"Not gonna talk to me, eh?" Tero muttered as the man blitzed him. "Hmph. Fine. Tekkai!"

Tero hardened his muscles to the level of steel just before impact. It was what saved his life. The force of his enemy's charge flung Tero back, his sides of his chest cut open by the two blades the man was carrying. Tero slammed into the ground and bounce/rolled away. A moment later, he rose again, doing his best to force the pain from his mind. It was difficult to do, despite all of his training.

"Just what are you?" Tero asked him. "Never mind...Rankyaku!"

Tero kicked, sending a blast of wind towards the man. Because he still hadn't mastered the technique, it would, at most, leave a small nick on the man's skin should it connect, but that wasn't the purpose of the attack. Tero followed it up by using soru to dash around behind Bill and executed a powerful slash at the back of the man's neck in an attempt to decapitate him.

Talitha saw the fist coming for her a moment too late to pull one of her quick dodges, and it registered somewhere in the back of her head that being hit by molten steel in any way would be highly suboptimal...
The only thing that saved her were her animal reflexes, and the training she had with changing her form quickly. When the danger was so close she could almost feel it (literally) burn, she could feel her body change, bone structure becoming lighter and smaller, noticed her sabre slipping from her hand and landing on the ground when her fingers grew back into her hand and heard the noise it made when it hit the ground, and then she was in animal form, keeping as close to the ground as she could, and felt the heat overhead when the attack went over her head. Too close.
Her body hadn't moved even close to fast enough...
In a half planned attempt on an attack, she tried to sink her teeth into the ankle in front of her. Only to, well, make up for this kind of wussy escape... Wow, hopefully she hadn't looked as scared as she had felt.
