Serious, War Thread: The Grand Atlantis War ((Open to all participants, three way struggle between Pirates, Atlantians and Marines))

T.H. was struck by both of the attacks; the one that Gavin used as well as John's attack and he was send quite a few meters backwards. From now on, the battles for him would be way too difficult...

At the meantime, Jiper realized that something was wrong. He could feel something coming towards him from behind. Without even looking behind, he turned immediately and he moved his leg upwards after saying "Rankyaku!". Then, the air blade was launched towards the flames and were extinguished by the power of the earth attack. He laughed and said "Two of you? You must be joking...This is quite unfair... For you...".

Maximillion, at the meantime was taking a look at the battles...

Gavin

“Urgh!” Gavin slid backwards as he was struck by Jon’s attack.

He took a very brief moment to look back at Amari and Kanhoji. It didn't look good. Kanhoji was too far from the ship to return to it and Gavin knew he could not help him. For now, he would just have to trust the others to do their jobs.

Atlantis

Deep within the bowels of Atlantis, Jim and Freddy exited an elevator. They found themselves standing in a cavernous room. The only way to reach the room was through the elevators, or by smashing the ceiling, and if anyone who wasn’t an Atlantean tried to use the elevators…well, they didn’t make it intact. Jim noticed another elevator door opening and the bodies of what had been Marines tumbled out. They were burned beyond recognition.

Freddy walked past them without even a casual glance. He headed down into the main room which contained an immense submarine. The sub was nothing compared to Atlantis itself, but it still could have contained four, full-sized Marine vessels. Freddy approached one of the doors of the sub with Jim trailing in his wake. All around them hundreds of Atlanteans were rushing towards the sub. Many of these Atlanteas were civilians. Men and women carried or led their children towards the vehicle.

Freddy punched in a code on the door he was facing. It slid open and he stepped inside with Jim, both of them heading for the bridge. Soon Jim lost sight of Freddy in the mess of engineers who were prepping the sub for launch. He kept out of the way, standing near the back of the room. Soon, he heard Freddy’s voice coming from the front of the room:

“We’re all ready to go. Keep us in position until the civilians are all on board. Everyone stay alert. If the Marines get in here to soon, we’ll have to go early. Then we take the final step and set Atlantis to detonate.”

An engineer stepped forward and saluted to Freddy. “We’ve got all the data from Atlantis’s computers and wiped them blank so no one can use them.”

“Good,” Freddy nodded. “We must keep the True History alive until the world is ready it to come to light. This is our duty as the last remaining independent nation from the Blank Period.”

(Maxulus & James. You appear to have ignored Archon there.)

((Fine. Post edited. I wasn’t really thinking about Jon’s attack actually hitting Gavin, for some reason. I guess I thought it would just disrupt the fight.))

Amari rubs her ears at the sudden alarms that started and could barely hear her brother but the message was clear. She looked to Gavin and turned away thinking that the people would keep him busy so he coulnd't destroy the ship.
Amari runs for the wheel and looks around to the exit Kanhoji had pointed to and spun the ship in is direction.

Kanhoji yelped as he felt water, once again, splashed against his back, making him jump farther up on the wall, digging his scythes in to sustain himself and not fall into the water.
Oh how far up the water it, shouldn't be a problem to most people, but Kanhoji is a person with the sea that is a curse to him, so he's pretty much dead in a way.
Looking up at the ship, he sweatdropped.
Wait a minute, when did those guys get there? He remembered them as the "Sons of the King" crew but how did he get in here? Well, they probably got here while he's in the control room, so of course he wouldn't be able to hear them.
Well, in any case, he have to figure out a way to get to the ship. Looking around, he saw the exit he opened for the ship, which is pour out more water and water by the minute. Maybe he could jump on as soon as it pass. Well, there's no guarentee that he'll be alive, but it's a good start, right? It's one way to die fighting than to be stuck here waiting for the water to drown him.
Nodding his head at the plan he formed in his head, he started to make his way to the huge exit, slowly, so he wouldn't fall. It was then when he was at the edge of the door way that he saw the ship coming towards.
All the "Son of the King" is on the ship, and so is T.H., infamous thief, not to mention Gavin, a respected revolutionary. What an interesting thing going on, and just because of a old, musty ship that many believed to have fighting power. Sheesh, just wait till the figure out that it was just a regular pirate ship. Not like those marine naval fleet ship.

"Admiral are you there?" Kenji said into the Den Den Mushi waiting for a response. "I'm at the dome and don't know what to do next what am I doing here?" He looked up at the large dome that was ahead of him and wondered how he was supposed to come even close to opening the dome by himself. "This sucks no action for the war rookie I guess, oh well nothing I can do." He said waiting for a response.

Ryan vs. Todd
" I've been waiting for you for a long time now" Ryan drops his jacket to the ground and quickly dashes towards Todd leaving a cloud of dust behind him he then threw a powerful right hand towards Todd's chest"

Nick and ??? Vs. Admiral Jiper

" Dammit he's strong my power isn't as far along as it should be wells there's no point in getting myself killed maybe I should leave"Nick begins to sneak away

((Since my partner in this thread seems to be doing her own thing, I'll try to move along.))

"Chrah...there's just too much happening here..."

The last attack aimed at Jiper exploded in mid-air, a cloud of toxins absorbing the blow. Kalamity looked over his shoulder, his fleshless jaw tense in expectance of a reprimand.

"I'm sorry to intrude, Jiper-Taisho..." Kalamity landed, his reconstructed face oozing with exertion. "Please let me handle this, while you move on for great justice and all of that."

(Ah, sorry about that)
Help him? Or go on and do her mission? Help him?Do her mission? Help?
Mission!
"I'll leave this to you, freakie face!"
Talitha called out and sped off in the direction they had headed before.
In this case, the mission was important! She didn't really get what was so great about some old ship, even if it once belnged to the pirate king. The way those natives resisted, it would have been more effective to ask permission for a buster call. Less of their own soldiers would have died that way! Talithas eyes were drawn by the corpse of an unlucky marine soldiers, one of those people who had gotten this far by luck, without the chance of getting farther or going back. There wasn't much more to do for them here than die. For a moment she wondered if that man had a family somewhere, waiting for his return...
She gritted her teeth and turned her head away from him. This could all have been avoided! Then again, that outer wall looked pretty thick... And it was a submarine. What was it with the marine not having those? Shouldn't they always be on top of todays technological... stuff?
Damn, what were those higher ups thinking?! One more reason for her to become really important really quick.

Wally vs Rei
*When did she ... she is fast ... !!!* Suigo thinks, Rei was too fast, even for him, a man infamous of his speed, on par with the "Dark Clown" and even the famous "Lightning Beast" on the speed factor !
Wally feels a powerful punch connecting to his face, that sents him to the ground with such might, the ground below violently, "exlosively" cracks. At the same time, an intense feeling of bein electrocuted hits him.
"HYAAAAAAARRGHH !! IT HURTS DAMMIT !" Wally rolls down but quickly gets up and extents his left hand towards the person that attacked him. Blood gushes from his right side of his forehead and the left side of his lip, some smoke also comes off, as if he was burned on his neck and right side of his torso. He uses "Pull" on her. "You little bastard, payback time !"
He moves forward and tightens his right arm, which is still engulfed in darkness, more now, which also seems to have formed what appear to be "spikes". "GRAVIJADON !!!" Wally yells as he directs the fist towards Rei at high speed, aiming the attack he was preparing for Nishki, to her.

Todd vs Ryan
*He got faster .. !!* Todd thinks and kicks Ryan's punch with his leg, redirecting the punch, yet, their combined strenght being so great, a shockwave occurs, so strong some men nearby are blown away.
"Shigan !" In that position, Todd attempts to pierce Ryan's chest.

Jason, Cebros and ??? vs Jiper
"You are right Mr. Admiral ! Byaaaahahahaha !!!" On the left side, an entire building is thrown towards Jiper.
"How about 3 then .. ?" Jason sarcastically asks and puts his hands on the ground "Ground hand !!!" 2 hands form right next to Jiper and attempt to hold his legs, so he wont evade the stone building going towards him.
Cebros awaits. "..."

[lol, I didn't notice that everyone was attacking Jiper. Anyone who wants to take him on go on, I wouldn't mind.]

Jiper looked towards Kalamity and smiled. He said "Thanks for your assistance, but scums like these do not scare me at all... This war shall over quickly, after all.". Then, he laughed and picked up a strange Den Den Mushi out of his coat. The Den Den Mushi was a really strange one. It was a golden Den Den Mushi... Perhaps nobody knew it but this was a Buster Call Mushi. He said "This is a Buster Call Mushi. When I hit this button, five Vice Admirals will come here on five battleships and will completely destroy the underwater dome, turning it into a simple dead land... And along with it, the Pirate King's ship shall be destroyed as well...". As soon as he pressed the button he picked up another Den Den Mushi. Apparently, that Den Den Mushi was the one that he would use to communicate with Kenji. He said "Listen, Kenji. This is going to be a mission that will declare the actual winner of this war. I want you to open the gates of Atlantis before the marine ships arrive. All of the marines, from the weakest to the strongest have to leave from the battlefield unless they do not want to... We do not want them to be killed... And YOU shall be the one to guide them... Good luck.". Then, before he could get any responses, he droped the mushi and was about to start battling. He stretched himself and much to his surprise, as soon as he did, he saw someone who tried to grab his legs. Without saying anything, he pointed with his feet towards the man and was about to launch a Rankyaku to slice him in two. Afterwards, he pointed towards the building that was coming towards him and said "Wow... What power... This is probably coming from a giant, does it not? Whirlwind Circle.". In an instant, the Admiral moved his right hand forward and with two of his fingers he formed a big circle that could fit himself inside it. The circle was launched towards the building, forming a circle on it and apparently the building did not hit him as Jiper passed through the holes he created with his circle. "Is that it?" he said with a smile on his face...

At the meantime, Maximillion pointed towards Nick who was leaving. He said "Nick, come over here... I need your assistance..." with a grin on his face.

Ryan Vs. Todd
*I expected no less* Ryan jumped up and spun around kicking Todd's hand directing the Shigan away from his chest and then came up with another kick to deliver to the side of Todd's head..

Nick

" Nick heard Maximillion call him and begin to walk towards the man " What is it Captain?" Nick had a curios look on his face..

((Ooo-whuuuuups. I got confused, then; didn't see that you'd already gotten rid of that last attack with the kick and whatnot. Sorry, seems like I just keep missing the action, heh.))

"Blow it all up, huh...?" Vince stared blankly for a moment, a number of thoughts running through his head. This seemed a rash and wild move to take; ignoring the number of Atlantian civilians that would be caught up in all of it, there were a great many marines present; getting the evacuation orders out to all of them in time would be difficult.

"Jiper-taisho," Kalamity stated, saluting with his one arm. The man was busy in a fight, and he didn't have any particular desire to interfere with what was an Admiral's business.

Not too far away was Nishki's skirmish, but there was a lot going on over there. The loud, obnoxious vice-admiral with the sparkly powers was fighting over there anyway. She had a notorious reputation of causing massive collateral damage; though he was still worried, Vince reasoned he should stay away from his supervisor for now.

Staring off into space, drooling black ooze from his lipless lower jaw, Vince wondered how much trouble he'd have saved himself if he'd just stuck to the original plan.

James

James dove into a small group of Marines, who had been hanging back holding rifles. They had not fired on him yet because their comrades were in the way, but now that the battlefield was pretty much cleared up, he was a sitting duck. James, however, had expected this and made his move before they could take aim. He hacked and slashed his way through the Marines, flinging them away in every direction. Then he kicked off, using a soru to dash off to the corner of the battlefield and take a breather. The fight around Nishki was escalating and there seemed to be another large battle going on nearby. Some Marine had just cut a hole through a building with wind to keep it from crushing him. James sighed. Was there no one in the world who did not possess some form of his abilities? He really wasn’t all that unique…

James noticed another Marine standing near the wind user guy. This Marine seemed oddly deformed in some ways. As James watched him, some black liquid stuff began dribbling out of his mouth.

“Ew…that’s disgusting!” James muttered. “Why can’t I do that?” He crossed over to where the Marine was standing and waved cheerfully at him. “Hey! How are ya doing?”

"Wait what the hell!!" Kenji yelled as the communications were cut off. "No pressure give the Lieutenant the job of saving the lives of thousands of marines oh well." Kenji backed away from the dome some distance examining it trying to find the best way of destroying it. Before long he concluded he had to use a vast amount of his strength to bring it down. He drew both of his swords and stood for a while looking at the dome he was about to destroy.

"Well here goes nothing, Air Cutter!!" He sent two waves of compressed air soaring at the dome which hit it head on. Once the dust clear he realized his attack barley dented the giant dome. "What the hell, man this is gunna be harder than I thought." He knew the nature of his mission was to win the war and save the lives of hundreds if not thousands so he had to think of something quick. After thinking for an extended period of time he knew he would have to exhaust nearly all his energy to bring the dome down but was determined to do so.

He began using a variety of attacks to bring the dome down, its collapse was slow at first but sped up with time. By time the dome fell Kenji looked as if he was in a long ferocious battle but he knew that was the easy part. The hard part of getting a way to inform all the marines was coming up now.

((Not bored at all sir, just sort of felt like I was butting in, having come to the thread late. I just wanted to make certain that my character wasn't ruining anyone else's good time. Thank you for giving me a role now, hehe!))

Vince clacked his jaw shut, the black ichor dribbling between his teeth for a moment longer, falling in fat, lazy globules from the scorched brown flesh of his chin. His head turned to face James, the lifeless, emotionless black disk of his faceplate centering on the pirate so that he could see his own reflection in it. The rear admiral stared in this fashion for a short moment following Cook's greeting before finally responding.

"I'm doing poorly," Vince admitted, his voice hoarse and as inhuman-sounding as he was inhuman-looking. "I wish happy things would happen today. I've failed in my mission, I let my commander come under attack, and now..." There came from deep in Kalamity's throat a horrible, wet sucking noise. It sounded almost like a four-hundred pound toddler sniffling a snotty nose after a long cry.

"Now, I will witness a grand tragedy. I will cry childishly and give up on the spot." Pausing once more after speaking, Vince held up his left and only hand, palm outwards and flat.

"No such sulking is possible. Still, I wish a good thing would happen. Could I ask a favour of you?"

James

James frowned. Part of what the Marine had said caught his attention. Some great tragedy was going to happen? James was about to ask him what he meant when the Marine asked him for a favor.

“Uh…maybe,” James said slowly. “It depends on what it is.” He grinned. “I mean, I’m not going to just turn myself in or anything.”

Tero

Tero stumbled back towards the ship, his muscles still aching from all the running he had just done. He turned a corner and stopped. There was Nishki, under attack from all sides. Then a female Marine appeared and saved him. Tero sighed with relief. At least his interference would not be needed…yet. He wasn’t sure how much help he would be in this condition. Tero turned and headed off down another path. He would have to take a detour to avoid all the fighting.

Gavin

Gavin pulled back from the fight. He raised guitar and brought it crashing down on the deck of the ship. The blades on the edges of the guitar bit into the ship’s deck and when Gavin pulled them out, he tore out several wooden boards as well.

“See this?” Gavin called out, trying to get the attention of the pirates. “This is what you are fighting over! A broken down old ship that can’t even with stand up to an instrument.” Gavin froze in place as he heard an odd sound. Was it his imagination, or had the ship just groaned? “It would be better if this thing sank to the bottom of the sea!” Gavin continued, with slightly less conviction than before.

"Today, a distinction far more important than 'marine' or 'pirate' is made in what are to become these ruins that were a city. I will not ask you to make such a choice, as convenient as it would be." Vince paused, putting his index finger to the center of his chin. "Then again, if you surrendered, that would make this whole operation more of a success..."

Snapping to reality, Vince threw his hand out to the side, holding his palm flat and out towards James.

"No such ideal circumstance is possible." Lowering his arm, he turned his eye towards the pirate and ceased soliloquizing. "The favour I need..."

"Break up the fights," he stated plainly, pointing towards the center of the place, "and get out everybody out. This will all be destroyed. We have those who would forewarn our people, but the rest...chrah hrah hrah. They'll know a minute or two too late."

Kalamity stared in silence for a moment, his jaw dropping open, the black stuff drooling out of his mouth again. His jaw clacked shut loudly, cutting the black tendrils off, sending a few horrid globs flying through the air.

"Of course you have no obligation to help, but as I said..." Vince turned his back on the pirate, lifting his hand to wave over his shoulder, "It would be nice if a good thing happened, and I can't do this thing as a marine..."

James

“So what is it you’re asking, exactly?” James asked, folding his arms across his chest. “You want me to get those maniacs to stop killing each other and leave?” The young pirate sighed. “It’s not quite as simple as that. I was in there a few minutes ago and some of those guys are moderately tough. Not only that, but pirates aren’t quite as united as Marines. I’m not sure my interference would help so much as it would give them another target to shoot at.” He suddenly looked contemplative and a small smile tugged at the corners of his lips. “Then again, I might have just the thing to break up this little block party. I’ve been waiting to try this new attack out.” He started to turn away, but froze and looked back at Vince, a suspicious frown on his face. “Wait a minute, why would you care what happens to pirates?”

Toshiro

Goth crossed his arms, bracing himself for impact. He locked his arms in place just soon enough to stop Toshiro's foot from crushing his chest: that wasn't saying much for his back. He heard something crack: probably his spine. Next he spat out blood, which really wasn't that great either. Damn, he was going to lose... and fail Segudo. No, he couldn't. Not here, not now... and not to a damn Old World rookie! He flipped his legs so that he could brace them on Toshiro's foot: and pushed. Hopefully, the force would catch the giant by surprise and tip him over. And not onto Amelia.

Ran Miryan

Gyupaa smiled as the blood blades entered his back, and a doll fell out of him [five left, I think]. He began laughing: an odd, hollow sound. "I don't suppose you have an infinite source of blood, do you?" His arms reached around her, trying to encapsulate her and then ensnare. "I'll just tear you apart and find out, eh?" He then stretched his arms out, trying to tear Ran's back apart.

Hercules

Ranyx's head whipped around. Shit. All the Atlanteans had fled. Not good, not good at all. "Gael! I need you to go back, there's a library! Call Figdra, have him eat the bookshelves. The Atlanteans have fled, and that can't be good. They would never leave unless they positively had to!" Gael turned to him, his head tilted in confusion. "Gael! GO!" Gael shook himself awake, and whistled. He ran towards the library, a slippery frog sliding after him. "Figdra, eat all the shelves, preferably whole! I need to make sure everyone gets out safely, especially the Atlanteans!" Figdra complied, and Gael ran out the door. After meandering around for a fair while, he came across Jiper.

Jiper

((Ooh, breakin out a Buster Call, are ya? Well, let's see what I can do about that. Hope I don't ruin your day!))

Gael heard everything. He stepped forward, standing in front of Jiper. "Did I just hear you right? A Buster Call? On this island? You and the rest of the Marines started this shitstorm, and now you plan to simply blow this technological achievement to bits? Where's your humanity? Has most of it simply died as it is wont to do in your profession? Your Buster Call is intended to destroy the Oro Jackson, isn't it? Couldn't you have at least tried a different method? Like, say, meet with the leaders in a polite way. Ask them to hand over the Oro Jackson. They wouldn't have a reason to hold onto it if they knew you would do something like this. Have you even considered the possibility that these people were simply protecting their homes? Their families? No, obviously not. You're simply content to just blow them to bits, without any regard for the lives you will be destroying. Is this for the Government? Or just your damn ego? I don't give a shit if you're the Fleet Admiral: you do not have the right to do this to people. And, if you disagree..." Gael's grin turned devilish. "Then I suppose I have nothing more to say. Well? Are you going to prove that you have at least half a soul? Or prove that you have none at all?"

Vince froze in his tracks, turning around to face the pirate whom he'd been bargaining with. For a moment it had seemed like he'd found a rational fellow who'd just go along and help. Then, the man had gone and asked a troublesome question. Letting out a long, rasping breath that might pass for a sigh among non-abominations, Kalamity turned to face James full on again.

"What is the Marines' justice?" Vince shrugged with his one arm. "Most of them would tell you that it is...absolute." The rear admiral made a derisive gurgling sound.

"Justice can not be absolute if it is indiscriminate, and that's exactly what this buster call is. It's a wild, unfocused, careless justice that wipes out everything. Maybe to some marines, indiscriminate justice is absolute justice. I do not feel so."

Turning back around, Vince continued along his way deeper into the heart of the chaos. A moment later, James could hear a gut-wrenching, horrible, wet vomiting noise, followed by an explosion of thin, translucent red strings of goo that ran along the ground in every which direction in front of the marine. Stepping onto one, Vince looked over his shoulder one final time.

"Pirates have rich lives, their pasts filled with many achievements and adventures. Some have taken the lives of others, some have not. No matter what, though..." Turning his head forward, Vince placed his other foot onto the toxic red webwork.

"No matter what, it's always a crime to waste a life so easily."

With no further words, Vince gave a curt two-finger way and vanished, his form speeding along at blinding speeds along the Walk of Death.
