Kanhoji brought out his blades as he came to the streets of rampaging pirates.
Putting on his hand scythes on both of his wrist, both invisable of course, he started to slash through the pirates with unseen speed, also trying hard not to get blood splatter on him at the same time.
Hearing the panicking screams and yells of the pirates, he continued on. He wouldn't want to attract attention yet, he need to get rid of these. Of course he hated to kill, it wasn't his intended goal to kill anyone along the way of his dream, but, these need to stop. Beside, he was only knocking most of them out. The ones knocked out would most likely die from blood lost though.
He continued on the rooftops, only going to the streets to get rid of some pirates.

Amari ran out too and started to jump roofs looking for the stalker woman.
_Can i even find her? ....Oh well, i'll do my best_
She saw out of the corner of her eye, pirates, she snuck behind him and stole his weapon then knocked him out and ran down the street, still searching.

Zaru spotted a figure running across the rooftops. He was watching the figure through a pair of heat vision goggles that he grabbed back at the ship. They only had three of pairs of these goggles on the ship, so it wasn't like everyone had one. Just Zaru, the captain, and one of the other, semi-strong pirates on the crew. Meredith didn't need one of course, because she had Leo. Zaru lifted the goggles off of his face and the figure disappeared. He lowered them back down and there was the figure again. Zaru grinned.

"Got you, invisible boy!" Zaru ran out of his hiding place and jumped at the boy's back. "DEATH REAPER!" he slashed his scythe through the air and the sheer force of the slash cut through the building as it rushed towards Kanhoji. (And yes, that definitely is you Kanhoji.)

Meredith stood on a rooftop, her whip clutched in her right hand. Abruptly, the end of the whip transformed into a lion's head, which sniffed and growled. "What is it?" Meredith asked, while looking around. "I don't see anyone. Is it the invisible boy?" Leo let out a roar, transformed into his full lion form, and pulled free of Meredith's grasp. He dove off of the building diving towards an invisible figure below. (That's you, Amari.)

Gavin was in the center of a group of pirates. He was weaving in and out of the group, cutting through each of them as he passed. The pirates were flailing about wildly, trying to find their elusive quarry. In fact, a small group of citizens had gathered in hiding places to watch the battle and they were trying to keep from laughing at the bizarre dance the pirates seemed to be doing. Despite the hilarity of the situation, Gavin was smiling. Amari...Kanhoji...please be safe... He thought. He would have never believed that a person could get attached to someone so quickly.

Amari ran trhrough the crowd and looked up adruptly as she heard a familiar roar and dodged out of the way as it came down where she was just standing.
"Nice to see you again!"
She grinned and took out the razor sharp sword she stole from the pirate before.

Kanhoji blinked as he heard someone scream towards him, letting go of the pirate he grabbed on to. Out of instincts, Kanhoji flipped to the side out of the way, gulping as he saw a building slip into half. Dang! That could've been him!
He look back at Zaru to see heat vision glasses.
After a moment of tenseful silence....
"Wow!!!! This is the first time I saw heat vision glasses!! How is it that they're not use frequently by marines though?"
Kanhoji then remembered his place.
"And, oh yeah!! Watch where you slice that thing!! Some one could get hurt!!"

"Stupid Leo," Meredith muttered. She was still on top of the building where she had been, her lion standing far below on the ground. "I've never seen him worked up like this," she said. "And he isn't obeying my orders. Could he really be this angry?"

Leo roared in reply to Amari's words. He sprang forward and swung a massive paw in the place where he knew Amari was.

"You made a fool out of me once before, boy," Zaru said, a wicked grin appearing on his face. "But not this time! DEATH REAPER!" Zaru slashed horizontally this time, sending out a wave of power, covering a 180 degree angle, straight towards Kanhoji.

Kanhoji dodge quickly, jumping up in the air and out of the way. He landed on a nearby roof.
"Sah! I thought I was going to die!!" Kanhoji exclaimed as he put his hand over his heart, a bit of comical horrified features on his face.
"Oi!! What did I ever do to you!!" Kanhoji exclaimed.
To tell the truth, he truly forgotten the man. For a short while of course, he just didn't care to try to remember the man that much.

Amari takes a step back and holds up the sword letting it take the damage for her.
"Here kitty, kitty"
She smirks and slides the sword, running to its side and slashing at its tail.

"I know I wasn't much of a challenge for you when we met before..." Zaru said. "BUT YOU COULD HAVE AT LEAST REMEMBERED MY FACE!" Zaru sprinted forward, becoming a blur of motion and he jumped across to the building where Kanhoji was standing. "Bone Dance!" Zaru said, his scythe spinning and whirling in front of him. His attacks were coming in hard and fast, cutting and slicing the air around Kanhoji, aiming for his vital points, such as his neck, heart, and lungs.

The lion turned with Amari as she ran towards its side. It hammered the ground with its paws, smashing the concrete and sending sharp pieces of shrapnel flying in every direction, even back at itself, however the big cat didn't care, if anything the rocks only enraged it further. It was in blood frenzy, trying desperately to reach the annoying little creature that teased and taunted it with sharp items.

Gavin stood, gasping, the center of a street. All around him lay the bodies of forty Nightshade Pirates. The street had become a bloodbath and Gavin was soaked in the stuff. He dropped his guitar on the ground and then fell next to it, barely holding himself up with his hands. Between his wound and running so much, he wasn't doing very good.

"So, you're one of the annoying brats my friends told me about," a man walked up to Gavin. He was wearing a pair of heat vision goggles and had a sword slung over his shoulder. The man was tall, but did not appear to be muscular. He had black, messy hair and hazel eyes. He wore a black jacket that was open, revealing a white shirt underneath that had the word 'Life' on it. He wore jeans and sneakers. The sword he carried was about average length, but the blade was twice as wide as the average sword. It had an unnatural reddish hue to it that almost seemed to glow.

"Brats is sort of a strong word for us," Gavin said. He wiped sweat from his forehead. "Whew! I need a breather. If you want to fight, then could you give me a minute?"

"Just like you gave Danny a minute?" the man asked. "Not a chance. If you're weak then that only means this battle will be all the easier for me. Prepare yourself!"

"Zoinks!!!" Kanhoji said as he dogde his moves as gracefully and quickly as possible. Turning, jumping, twisting, flipping, being flexible like some kind of deranged and hyper monkey. He turned visable, seeing that there is no reason to keep himself invisable but the only thing he kept invisable are his bag, still slung over, and his hand scthes, that are still on his wrist. He can detect living things and what he have right now, are not living.
"Well sorry!! You can't expect me from remembering everyone's face that I just met!! I'm kinda busy right now so can we tango another time?!" Kanhoji asked, bending backward to dodge a slice as he keep going backwards away from him.

Amari winced as the sharp rocks hit and cut her, she moved back and strode forward, still aiming for the tail. She jumped and brought the blade down on where the tail and whip mended together.
"Whats the matter? Cat got your tounge?!"
Amari smirked as she noticed it had stopped roaring even though it was only for a little while.

Zaru growled in frustration as his opponent danced out of the way of each attack."Stop messing around!" he said. "This isn't a game! Fight already!" He slowed down his attacks and jumped back. "Death Reaper!" Once again a powerful force sliced out from the scythe's blade, but this time it wasn't really aimed at Kanhoji. Instead, the part of the roof that Kanhoji was standing on, was cut from the roof and started sliding away towards the ground.
______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

The sword Amari swung slashed right through the tail. For a very brief moment the lion faltered, then it let out a roar that was louder then any other it had done so far. The creature fell to the ground and writhed there, transforming back and forth between a lion and a whip. Suddenly, it stopped changing and it was in its lion form once more. The creature crouched and then leaped high in the air. It came back down and slammed into the ground with enough force that the entire street virtually exploded into pieces. The surrounding buildings were cracked and Meredith was almost dragged into the mess. She just barely managed to drop down and hang on as cracks ran up the building around her. Meredith scrambled further up the building just as the part she had been standing on fell down towards the street. The part hit Leo and he went down under a cascade of bricks, mortar, metal, and shingles. Meredith could only watch on in amazement, waiting for the dust to clear. There was no way anyone could have survived that, was there?

Gavin dodged Eddie's first attack by simply stepping away. The follow up swipe nearly took his head as he ducked and the third forced him to block with his guitar. Fighting was hard on his instrument and Gavin's guitar already had dozens of nicks and cuts in it. The blades on his guitar were made for redirecting attacks, not dueling swords. That combined with the pain in Gavin's side was really taking its toll on him.

"How did Danny have any trouble with you?" Eddie laughed. "You're pathetic!"

He knocked aside a clumsy swing from Gavin's guitar that was aimed at his throat and he punched Gavin in the gut. Unfortunately for Gavin, the punch was near his injured side and he fell to his knees with a gasp of pain. Eddie's knee drove into Gavin's face and sent him flying back. Gavin tried to raise himself back up as he pointed a finger at Eddie, aiming to shoot sound into his head, but Eddie was on him in a flash. His sword slashed through Gavin's chest giving him a scar that was horizontal. Gavin hit the ground and didn't move.

"That's all you got, huh?" Eddie turned away, slinging his sword over his shoulder. "I won't kill you. You can just lie there until you die like the miserable dog you are." Eddie walked away, leaving Gavin behind.

Metal rose out from some of the debrise and amari crawled out, gasping and coughing for air. She slid from the mound and landed on some parrellel ground, stumbling slightly. Then started to run looking for other pirates and the woman who lost her pet.

Behind Amari, the rubble was thrown in every which direction as the lion burst forth. It was bleeding from a dozen different wounds and one of its hind legs had been damaged beyond repair and yet the creature still rose from the rubble like some undead monster. It did not roar this time. Instead it stared at Amari with hate in its eyes.

"No...Leo..." Meredith teared up. Her lion was going to die and there was nothing she could do about it. Just like with Danny. "LEO!" Meredith hurled herself off of the roof of the building and landed on Leo's back. "If you're going to fight then let me come with you!" she said. "I'm tired of sitting on the back row, not able to do anything. Let's win this together!" Leo growled his agreement and he sprang at Amari, ready to finish her off.
______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

"Wait..." Gavin pushed himself off of the ground. "I won't...die like this..." he said. "I...have so much to look forward to..." His hands balled up into fists.

Eddie glanced back at Gavin, looking completely bored. "What can you do?" he asked.

"Heh..." Gavin stood up on shaky legs. "I can do a whole lot more then you think!" He pointed a finger at Eddie. "This is the true end! 120 Decibels!" A loud note of sound clanged in Eddie's mind. He stumbled as the sound hit him time and time again.

"Stop it," Eddie growled. "Stop!" He ran towards Gavin and was about to cut him in two when everything went silent. Caught off guard, Eddie halted in his charge and looked around. "What's going on?" he said, but then realized that he hadn't heard any sound coming from his mouth. He looked back at where Gavin had been, only to see that Gavin was gone! All at once the sound returned.
______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Gavin stumbled down the street. He had no strength left. Only his stubborn will allowed him to press on and drag his guitar behind him, but then, not even that was enough. All his strength left his body and Gavin fell to the ground. A single tear ran down Gavin's face as darkness swept in to claim him. Amari...Kanhoji...Black Wolf...mom...dad...everyone...I'm so sorry... In that instant, his heart stopped.

Amari turned to see the lion back on its feet again and groaned loudly.
"Why dont you just go for a liter break?!?!"
She continues to run off and waves the sword making the sun flash at the lion's eyes, to make it madder and tempt it to follow her. Something bugged her but she ignored it and looked back to see the lion.

(I know this lion should probably be down and out by now, but not only is it about as big as Mohji's Richie, but it's also several times as powerful as him. So far its total injuries are: A cut in its side, it lost part of its tail, and it was momentarily buried. Not exactly stuff that would finish it off.)

Leo saw his prey running from him and he gave chase. He knew he was faster then any little human...or he used to be. Leo accidentally tried to use his lame leg once and the pain knocked him down on his face. He let a out roar of frustration, but jumped back to his feet and ran on after Amari.

Meredith drew Gavin's sword from a sheath she had at her side and she crouched low on Leo's back. "Get in close," she said to her lion. "I'll stab her when we get there."

Leo was feeling his energy running out already, so he sped up and a moment later, he was beside Amari. Meredith leaned over and swung the sword at Amari's neck.

Meredith felt Amari latch onto her wrist, but instead of pulling away, she jumped off of Leo's back, pushing back against Amari. Leo growled and slowed down. He didn't immediately attack Amari, but instead began to circle around the two fighters.
______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Gavin opened his eyes and blinked in the bright sunlight. He sat up and pulled his shirt up to feel his chest where he had been injured, but surprisingly there weren't even scars there. Gavin looked around and could see that he was in a field. He had been lying in the shade of an apple tree. He could hear birds calling to each other and a pleasant breeze was rolling across the field.

"Yo! Gavin!"

Gavin looked up to see a familiar face coming towards him. "Black Wolf, sir!" Gavin stood up and brushed himself off. "What are you doing here?"

The Black Wolf walked over to Gavin and dropped down on the ground. "Pull up some grass," he said. Gavin sat back down, and the Black Wolf continued. "So...you got yourself creamed, huh?"

"Yeah, I did!" Gavin said. "But...now I'm fine." A sudden realization hit him. "Am I...dead? Are you dead?"

The Black Wolf laughed. "Do I look dead?" he asked. "Nah, you're still alive, and I am as well, or I was the last time you saw me."

"The last time I saw you?" Gavin cocked his head to one side. "What are you talking about?"

"This..." the Black Wolf waved his hand to indicate the field they were in. "...is what you would call a hallucination, brought on my severe trauma to your body. Basically, you're dying and now your talking to yourself."

"So I'm going crazy," Gavin sighed and hung his head. "Great...just what I needed."

The Black Wolf shook his head. "You're not going crazy," he said. "You can't do what you've already done."

"Even in my dreams you mock me," Gavin moaned. "Go away and let me die in peace."

"Do you think I would let you die if this were real?" the Black Wolf asked. "Trust me, you'll be fine. In fact, I would say that you'll be waking up just about...now."

Everything faded away and Gavin's eyes snapped open again, but this time to a world of pain. A man crouched over Gavin's body, his hands moving quickly over Gavin's body.

"Who...are..." Gavin began.

"Be quiet and let me do my work," the figure snapped. "Don't worry Gavin, you're safe with me."

((I've been trying to give some time between my posts to let Kanhoji post, but he hasn't shown up for the last day or two. Is he busy right now?))

Meredith wasn't expecting Amari to grab the sword with both hands and she stumbled, releasing the sword to catch herself as she fell towards the ground. Leo saw his master falling and he hurled himself over her head at Amari, with a loud roar.
______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

It didn't take the strange figure long to fix Gavin up, but by the time he was finished, Gavin knew who it was. It was Ethan Vascus, a doctor who worked for the Black Wolf.

"So..." Gavin said as he watched Ethan finish stitching up his chest. "I thought I was dead. How am I still alive?" Ethan didn't reply. Instead he raised one hand, his right hand, to show Gavin the small glove on it. "Oh yeah," Gavin winced. "Those things."

The glove was just one of a pair. It was made almost completely of metal. They were essentially a small, easy to carry, defibrillator. Not to mention, Ethan could use them to give a nasty shock to anyone who bugged him. Gavin had actually had a brief run in with the gloves, one that made him give Ethan a little more respect then he did for most people.

"So what are you doing here?" Gavin asked.

"You were late coming back," Ethan said. "The Black Wolf sent me to find you."

Gavin frowned. "That's odd," he said. "I've only been gone a day. Why would he do that?"

Ethan shrugged, but didn't say anything except, "Finished." Ethan stood back up and picked up his equipment. "Let's go," he said, turning away.

"Where are we going?" Gavin asked.

"Back to the base," was Ethan's reply.

((Yay! I just noticed, Kanhoji's here!!!!))

The blow to Leo's head didn't slow him down, but it did make it so that he wouldn't use his claws or fangs. Instead, he slammed into Amari, hitting the floor and rolling away.

"I'm not going back," Gavin said.

Ethan turned to look at him and quirked an eyebrow. "Why?" he asked.

"I have some friends here," Gavin replied. "I need to help them."

"In your present condition I could knock you out and force you to come with me," Ethan said.

"I know," Gavin replied.

Ethan didn't say anything for a moment, then he said, "Have fun," before walking away down the street.

Gavin stood up. Ethan had done a very good job. Even the pain from his older wound was gone. Of course, both wounds were still damaged and could still hurt if hit, but now he wasn't losing blood anymore. Gavin reached down and picked up his guitar. He ran off in the opposite direction from where Ethan had gone.

"Waah!" Kanhoji yelped as he felt the roof slid. He shot one of his scythes to hook on to another roof, an thin, yet strong, string hooked onto it. Using it, he swung to the next roof, sighing as he landed safely.
"Hey!! I'm always serious about my fights!!!" Kanhoji huffed, a bit offensive about the statement.

Amari grunted as she was nearly crushed by the lion and rolled out from under it, somehow this thing was still alive. She glanced at the sword in her hand and sighed then got up again and held the blood stained sword in front of her, glaring at the lion.

"Then fight me!" Zaru yelled. He sprang towards Kanhoji. "Bone Dance!" Once more he started into his bizarre dance, slashing away at Kanhoji with his scythe.

(I just realized I made a mistake. Amari is invisible, so Meredith couldn't have seen her to attack her earlier. I guess one could argue that Meredith heard Amari or something and attacked her through sound. Anyway, let's just keep going. Meredith will not 'see' Amari anymore.)

Leo stood up and turned to face Amari. He was really getting frustrated now. How much more could this human, if she was a human, take? He swung a paw at her again.

Gavin was running across the rooftops again. He saw Kanhoji facing off against a scythe-wielding man. Gavin wondered if he should join in the fight, but Kanhoji seemed to be doing fine on his own. He didn't have any wounds on him and the destruction of their battle was obvious all around. So Gavin ran on, leaving Kanhoji behind. He would come back to check on him again if Amari was alright, but he had to be sure.
