Riddle!!

theres a one story house. everything in the house is blue. the walls are blue, the couch is ble, the windows are blue, the dog is blue. what color are the stairs?

Well...if somebody was dumb enough to put stairs in a one story house I'd say they'd be blue if everything else was. But...if they decided to put stairs in a one story house...they might want to change the color. *Shrugs*

ok heres a hard one

you are locked in a room. the door will unlock in 44 minutes, and then lock again in 46 minutes. you are given two ropes and a lighter. each rope burns for 1 hour. however, the rope will burn at varying speed, so it may start burning slowly, then speed up. Or it may burn fast, then slow down in the middle, then speed up at the end. you dont know.
using the two ropes, find 45 minutes so you can escape. there is no trick, it is math/logic. this one took me 2 hours in a car ride btw

Mmkay, not sure of the answer to Iggy's but here's a couple more riddles for people to figure out:

1: Four men sat down to play. They played all night till break of day. They played for gold and not for fun. With separate scores for everyone. When they had come to square accounts. They all had made quite fair amounts. Can you the paradox explain. If no one lost, how all could gain?

2:Rob the window washer had worked for minumum wage for 3 years. He was tired of washing windows at the 20 story building he worked at, so one day he decided to open a window and jump through it. Outside it was a sheer drop, 20 stories, to the ground, but Rob landed and walked away without any injuries or even a scratch. How?

Rob wasn't washing windows on the 20th floor?

Iggy: He may not have been on the 20th floor, but he was a good ways up and was most definitely above the range a normal person could jump and live. And before you ask, yes, he is a normal person.

Redmerv: There were only four men playing, all of which gained a decent amount of money in the same night, in the same room, together.

Is the answer to the second one that he worked at a small, one story library? (20 stories = 20 books)

That's a good answer, but it's wrong. ^.^;; It's an actual 20 story building, meaning if he were working on the top floor when he decided to jump it'd be about a 200 foot or so fall.

If it's just live, then Rob could jump and survive. People have survived jumping off the roof of a 25 story building before, so why would 20 be impossible?
