West Blue: Rise of the Village

Iken and Cat had been floating for days with little water and even less food.  All they had was the combined 14 million they can found floating as they escaped the island.  In away it was a good thing that they were small enough to get away without the marines noticing.  However it left them ill prepared for a journey across the sea much like they were just on.  By the time the two had reached an island, they were barely able to get off of their ships by themselves.  Cat and Iken were both strong young men, and therefor were able to stagger into town.  It was small and wasn't likely to be affiliated with marines for the most part, so Iken was able to feel good about entering.  

Despite being dirty and sun-baked, Iken and his firstmate made there way into a cafe.  It was obvious the two were out of place, but they didn't care.  The two needed food and liquids, or they'd soon be in pretty bad shape.  Iken pulled out some loose cash from his pockets before ordering food and drink for Cat and himself.  There was a rather cute girl working there, but Iken doubted she would pay any attention to two dirty old pirates.

As the days went by the smell of Iken and Cat's clothes began to wreak for poor Cat, whom had a very perceptive mind. Small things like odors very easily caught his attention; so he did his best to avoid bad ones. Most of the days Cat decided to soak his shirt with water and leave it on his face. Some drops of ocean water may or may not have been drunk in the process. Cat also often took dips in the water and painstakingly forced himself back to the ship every time. He made sure to hold on to the side of the ship every time. He drank some of the water at times too, when Iken wasn't looking so he wouldn't get the same ideas as Cat and drink the whole ocean for himself.

When the days passed Cat felt very nauseous, and weak. Cat wanted water so bad, but the beach water just tasted salty. When they reached dry land Cat wobbled out of the boat. He walked towards the bar by following Iken in an almost comatose state. He looked like a walking zombie. Eventually Cat sat on the stool and waited for something to happen; he didn't know what because half of him wasn't conscious enough to know. Without a hint or warning, other then Cat closing his eyes, his body fell limb and fell to the side with a loud thud. His head hit the stool next to him on the way down.

"Ugh.. beach.. water.. doesn't taste.. good.." Cat then passed out. His body was fighting water loss for days. He wasn't as sun baked as he should be, but his cheeks turned a little red. Cat had a small fever.

Iken began eating and more importantly drinking in much needed fluids when Cat fell over.  On the way down it looked like Cat had hit his head on one of the stools, however that wasn't really what worried Iken.  Cat had a touch body and a little bump on the head wouldn't do much to him.  Iken was much more worried about the fact that Cat had spoken of drinking beach water.  There was only one thing that came to mind when Cat said that.  The idiot had drank seawater.  "Are you kidding me?" Iken said before face palming.  "I really shouldn't be surprised by this though." he said a moment later.  

It was obvious with how red his face was, even for a novice like Iken to tell Cat had a fever.  The only thing Iken knew about it, was that he had to get his friends temperature down so it didn't cause any damage.  Iken took the jug of water and dumped it on Cat's head, before sitting him up and slapping Cat across the face.  He was hoping he could at least wake Cat up long enough to get him to drink something.  To anyone with even the slightest bit of knowledge in care-taking this would look like a very bad idea. "Come on wake up! If you don't none of the cute girls will like you anymore." Iken said simply because he couldn't think of anything else.

Cat felt a hand slap him across the face. His eyes half opened at the blur that was the back of the hand slapping him, then when his face turned to the other side from the force of the slap the front of the hand slapped him again to force him to turn the other way. Overall Cat didn't feel much of the pain, but he did feel very nauseous. Eventually the slapping made him feel worse until it escapated and Cat couldn't take the nausea anymore. Cat opened his mouth, still half passed out and half awake (like in a dream state) and threw up all of the sea water he had drank in the ship. The water, mixed in with his stomach acid and other things mixed in with sea water, was thrown at the floors of the café and closely missed Iken as a whole.

Cat fell limp again and passed out. His cheeks were swollen from the constant slapping on Iken's end. At least the sea water is out of his system, but that was more water out of his body. Now Cat needed something along the lines of soup, water, and more soup and water. Even when Cat was knocked out, however, his left hand gripped his katana's handle on the left side of his waist. Cat was having a dream about a black kitten talking to him. Cat called him Fluffy.

Cat, when asleep, looked peaceful and less.. abnormal. His black hair with blue tips stayed at the ends of his shoulders while his expression looked less.. blank.

Iken looked to his side and the nasty mixture that Cat had just expelled from his body onto the floor of the cafe.  He was certain that this would not bide well with the owners of the cafe.  However at that moment it didn't really matter what they thought.  Iken tried to get Cat to drink some water from a nearby glass.  He managed to get a little bit in him, but he was afraid of drowning him accidentally.  Iken looked around the cafe before sighing and standing back up.  

Iken bent down again briefly to pick up Cat, holding him in his arms so he wouldn't throw up any more fluids. It was amazing, even in his weakened state; Iken was able to carry around the body weight of Cat like it was nothing. He then picked up a picture of water sitting at a nearby table before walking towards one of the workers at the restaurant.  "Is there a doctor on this island and if so, where can I find him?" he asked ready to leave.

Ada had been working on the café that day as a waitress due to the absence of some workers. Her father had asked for her aid, and she had kindly accepted. There was no much to do as a chef in the café anyway, because there were her parents, and other chefs and chef assistants. So the work was minimal. It also always entertained Ada to serve people in the café, meeting new faces, making friends and just seeing the day go by in an enjoyable way. However it seemed that this way was going to be even more eventful. There were two mysterious, more like thief-looking men, that had randomly entered the café. Of course, Ada being Ada, decided to send a wide smile at them and not judge them by their looks. However she did notice some customers tensing up as the men continued to stroll past and proceed to sit on the stools. Maria, one of the workers, took their order. 

What made these strangers interesting in Ada's eyes was their attitude. It seemed that one hadn't ingested anything in some days, and the other seemed to be falling asleep. Once the later had fallen from the stools, Ada became alarmed. She started walking towards them, with a tray still on her hand. But stopped to watch the other one start slapping the passed out man. He then vomited. Ada called two workers and ordered them to clean up, as she walked toward the men, who were asking for a doctor. She remembered the man mentioning seawater when he passed out. 

"He drank seawater didn't he?" she asked, a worried expression on her face. She didn't know this person but she could see that he was in pain, with a slight or severe fever (she was not sure) and certainly hadn't had anything decent to eat in the past days. "Um.. " she looked away blushing. She was slightly nervous and didn't want to make it seem like she was ordering them around. "I would suggest that you stay here, we will call the doctor. Your friend seems to have a fever and moving him around any further wouldn't be a good idea. Apart from that, you two need to have a good meal. This is my family's restaurant so please be comfortable" she had a big smile on her face. "Please follow me" she wasn't sure if the men would follow her but she just started walking towards a more private room, where they wouldn't bother the customers as much and where the noise wouldn't make either of them feel bad.

Iken looked at the girl as she approched them, it was the cute one that had caught his eye previously. It was obvious she was a shy, yet brave girl. Most of the people in that cafe wouldn't have come near Cat and Iken little lone talked to them. She even blushed while she was talking to Iken. Iken could see she was different. Although he wasn't certain how she was different, other than the fact she was nice to them.

Iken tried to smiled at Ada when she spoke to him, but he was tired so it seemed half hearted. "Yeah the idiot said something about beach water." he responded. "I would appreciate it verr much if we could stay until we get him back on his feet. He's strong so I don't think it'll take more than a couple of hours." Iken said following Ada into the privet backroom. When Iken scanned the room it looked like a cozy place. Iken entered while carrying his firstmate in his arms. Without a seconds hesitation, Iken ploped Cat onto the ground. Cat and he were dirty and Iken didn't want to get the nice ladies furniture dirty. "Thank you miss." Iken said taking a seat next to his budy.

Cat felt his body move to the air, so naturally he thought he was flying. At one point he felt his body slam to the ground with a loud thud. He faintly heard a voice earlier, before falling, from a younger woman or possible a girl. Cat opened his eyes, half-wise, and looked around the room. He felt dizzy, weak, and with the need to throw up what probably wasn't in his stomach anymore. Cat looked at the girl in the room, then back at Iken. His head rolled from one image to the other, but it moved slowly enough so he wouldn't dizzy himself with movement. Cat was thirsty.. very thirsty. He stood up, slowly and wobbly, and walked over to the side of the room almost tripping over the carpet set out on the ground. Cat took a vase with a plant in it and rose it up, remembering that plants needed water for them to work.. Cat knew this because he saw them everywhere in his home.

Dirt rammed him in the face and the plants fell to the ground. Cat spat out the plant soil from his mouth. He probably should have checked it for water before assuming it had any. Cat's tongue was now brown from the dirt. Cat looked around, dizzily, and took a towel from the table and wiped his tongue with it slowly. Any faster and he's probably do an uncontrollable fling of the wrist and force his tongue against his teeth. Cat was not having a good day. Just like a zombie, Cat proceeded to walk around the room wobbling. Even with a clean tongue he couldn't get the taste and crunchiness of dirt out of his mouth. Eventually Cat found a small sink and he dipped his head in the water with soap in it. He gargled for a bit then forced his head out of the filled container.

"There is no more water in the world." Cat said, looking around frantically, and in an almost blank state, around the room.

Ada was panicking slightly, she went towards the man and put her hands on both of his cheeks, staring right into his eyes. "Calm down, I'll bring you a glass of water okay?" she said softly, slowly, as if talking to a child. She hadn't been able to warn him about the plant, and the soil had entered his mouth, probably leaving a terrible taste in his mouth. She was extremely worried, and even feeling slightly guilty that all of this was happening to this stranger. She didn't know why, but she needed to help him. That was just how Ada worked. She was just nice like that. "I'm leaving now, I'll be back soon. I'll bring you water, and food. Soup and some bread. It'll be good for your stomach. Now just sit on the couch and rest, and try to not move around much. It'll just make you more nauseous" she explained calmly, smiling softly at the stranger, although she was almost sure that he wouldn't remember much about this, considering his state, both physical and mental. 

Ada removed her hands from his cheeks, send a cautious smile to the other man, as if saying "take good care of him while I'm gone", and left the room, mumbling things about seawater and what she should be able to do. As she was nearing the kitchen one of the workers passed by. "Please call Doctor Schwartz and tell him we need him here, I need him here, as fast as possible" she said and started walking faster towards the kitchen. Once there she grabbed a glass and filled it with water as fast as she could, and then asked if there was any soup made. Apparently they had made some chicken soup with vegetables for another dish and there was leftovers. She heated some of the soup and put it on a bowl, placing everything in a tray. Once everything was ready Ada made her way back to the room.

Iken watched as Cat rose, as if back from the dead. He walked over to a plant trying to get water from it only to get a mouth full of dirt. Iken couldn't help but chuckle a little as Cat walked around being his usual self. Normally Iken had to take care of Cat on his own, so Ada's help was a big load off his shoulders. Even so, Cat was acting even wierder than usual. It must have been all of the damned salt water he drank while the two were out in the ocean. Ada was great, she even seemed to be able to deal with Cat. It was kind of refreshing being around someone normal again.

As Ada walked out of the room, Iken watched until she was out of site. Iken waved to Cat to get his attention. "Hey come here." Iken said lifting up the jug of water he took previously. "I have some water in here, and I think you need it more than I do. Just make sure to drink it slowly." he said passing the jug to Cat. It was a little bit before Ada returned, in the time the two sat quietly.

Cat listened to the voice. He could hear a woman telling him to calm down, and that she would bring him some water. Cat stopped when she said this since her hands were gently on his cheeks. He could barely make out her face, since his eyes were wondering around the room mostly. She left and Cat heard Iken's voice telling him to sit next to him. Cat walked towards Iken and sat next to him. Iken told Cat to swallow the water slowly, but he grabbed the jug and chucked most of it down. The body reacted on its own, which meant that Cat had little control over the involuntary gulps that his body was taking to desperately put water in his body.

Cat drank a good 3/4 of the jug before he put it down on the table. His cheeks were still red, and he was still dizzy, but at least now his body wasn't as worried about getting water. For some reason thought he felt like he needed MORE water then he had already drunk. It might be because he had made the mistake of introducing salt water to his body for days. Cat took the rest of the water and continued to chuck it down. He was drinking more water then his body realized, and fast. Cat's body thought that he was still dying of thirst, in reality he should have earned enough already.

"I can't stop drinking." Cat said under his breath after drinking all of the water.

Ada opened the door to the room and smiled softly, noticing the man starting to drink water. Well, more like he was drinking water desperately. It worried Ada, so she placed the tray on the table besides the couch and walked towards Cat. Ada sat in front of him and grabbed the jug, softly removing it from his hands. He still had reddened cheeks, and therefore a fever. "Drink slowly, control your urges. You'll be fine, you won't die because of thirst. I'll protect you, I'll take care of you. Okay?" she said softly, hoping the man would understand what she was saying. 

She stood up and walked so she was standing behind the man. She placed her arms under the man's armpits and tried to pull him up. She eyed the other man and mouthed "help". Ada was small, she barely was 5'2, and didn't weight much, so she wasn't exactly "strong". Carrying a grown up man was certainly out of her possibilities. She needed the other man to help her. "We need to carry your friend to the couch. I've already sent someone for the doctor. I've brought soup, and water. I'm sure he'll be fine. He needs to lay down and rest" she explained to the other man, knowing he was in a better mental state than the previously passed out one.

Iken watched Cat drink the water like there was no tomorrow. He would have tried to stop him, but he was tired and it wouldn't have done any good anyway. "Slow down." he said half heartedly. It didn't do any good. He watched as Ada tried to do the same, she took the jug from him. It was about if not empty anyway. Ada told Cat she'd protect him, so he didn't have to worry about water, she would help him. Iken was amazed at how well she was able to handle Cat, it was as if she was a mother.

Was she? She certainly didn't look like it if she was. Ada looked too young and she still had a nice figure. On the other hand, Iken had seen stranger. Maybe her motherly instincts were for a younger sibling or just something she had naturally. It didn't really matter, in reality the only reason such thoughts were even going through his head was because of how tired he was.

Iken's eyelids began to feel like they weighed a ton. His eyes were just about to close when Ada spoke to him. She wanted help getting Cat onto the couch. Iken had placed him on the floor so they didn't dirty the furniture, but if she was insisting. He stood up slowly using the couch as a means to do so. Once up Iken, took Cats other shoulder and hoisted him up and onto the couch. Unlike Ada, Iken had a rather hard life that made his strong over the years. With one hand he was able to do what she wasn't with all her might. "Thank you for all you're doing for us." he said half asleep.

Cat was about to finish the jug when he suddenly heard a voice in his head. That same voice seemed to grab the jug, which stopped Cat on his tracks. The girl, that he could make out, put the jug next to him and said sweet things to Cat that calmed him down. It was like all of the worries of the world fell from his shoulders. She told him he wouldn't die because of thirst, and that she would make sure of it. Cat's blank eyes looked directly at her; like an empty shell would look at its creator. Cat smiled and looked at the girl whose face he couldn't see very well.

Suddenly he felt the voice and Iken push him up. The voice asked for help earlier, Iken apparently helped her. Iken put him on the couch, and there Cat looked around dazed and used his hand to grab the spoon of the soup. He slowly, and shakidly, put it in his mouth and swallowed. It had noodles, a delicious liquid that was red, and beef. Cat slowly ate the soup in peace. However, his cheeks did not lessen in redness. He did look less zombie-like. The best thing, perhaps, was that he didn't look like a raging lunatic looking for water. In Cat's mind he was living in a dream world. The voice of the woman was like an oracle, or a light, maybe even an angel helping Cat with every problem he encountered.

Iken looked at the door, he heard someone walking down hall towards the room. An older looking man, probably in his fifties walked into the door a moment later. The doctor was well groomed with slicked back hair and strong cologne. His gray hair complimented the round rimmed glasses and white coat over his clothes in some strange way. Under the coat he wore a brown and tan sweater with a weird zig zag pattern. On the bottom he had on dark brown slacks and a pair of black leather shoes. The shoes looked pretty expensive.

It wasn't more than a couple of seconds after he entered the room that he had already picked Jack out as the patient. He walked over to Cat in a quick pace, especially that of an old man. The man placed the back of his hand against Cat's head for a moment. He then went to his bag and began looking through it. The doctor pulled out a little glass tube with number written on it and a red line up and down the middle. He held the tube for a second looking between it and Cat and then towards Cat's midsection. However the doctor must have decided against using that one, because he pulled out a smaller one. The doctor placed the thermometer in Cat's mouth along with a bite guard. It seemed the doctor was used to dealing with guys like Cat. After a few moments the doctor took the glass tube out of Jack's mouth laying it aside. "He haz a zmall fvever." he said pulling out a rag and a bottle of alcohol. The doctor poured the alcohol on the rag and placed the rag on Cat's forehead. "Just keep the rag moist, along with plenty of food and drink until the red in his face iz gone." said the doctor as he washed the thermometer off with the alcohol.

Once he had finished speaking the doctor placed everything but the cloth and alcohol back into the large black bag he had with him. The doctor looked to Ada and then to Iken. He eyed Iken pracriously for a moment as if doctor was studying him. It made Iken feel unnerved, and to be honest he had, had that feeling all along; as soon as the doctor had walked in. It was as if the doctor was constantly watching him, even when it appeared he wasn't. It was nothing more than a weird feeling, which Iken for the most part ignored.

"Mizz Ada, would you pleaze make zertain he doezn't drink the alcohol. I have zomething to zpeak about with hiz friend in privet." he said looking from Ada to Iken once more. He motioned for Iken to follow him, and Iken did. The two walked out of the cafe together, Iken followed the doctor. Iken was certaint the doctor was going to speak to him about Cat's condition or perhaps the bill back at the doc's office. It seemed a bit strange when the doctor lead Iken out of the town, but Iken just figured the doctor must have lived outside of the town. Although that would make it rather strange that he was able to respond so quickly.

Cat felt a cool towel on his forehead. He then suddenly went to sleep, like nothing had happened in the first place. He felt something in his mouth a few moments earlier, for some reason, and it was small. He opened his eyes and saw the doctor taking his temperature, which made sense for about a moment, before Cat went back to sleep. Cat held on to the sword next to him as firmly as he could even while sleeping. Cat's legs, which were scurrying earlier, relaxed themselves almost completely and his lightheadedness almost completely disappeared. Instead of feeling like he was in a dream world, he was going to actually go to it.

Cat's redness started to diminish slowly, and assumingly. His stomach started to rumble while he was sleeping, it was like a baby lion roar in the room. Cat's endurance made him less susceptible to the fever, and after the doctor added assistance to the body, the moist towel, along with the water from earlier killing off the dehydration, and the vomit that took out almost all of the salt he had swallowed from the ocean, he can recover much sooner then expected. Cat was still sweating however, which meant that he wasn't in the best of situations. However, anyone taking the temperature can see a steady decrease. In a few hours, if not less, Cat will be good as new. All he'll need is some food in his tummy. Good thing for the soup.

The doctor lead Iken a good distance away from the town, out towards a cove that lead into a large rocky cave that was half submerged in water. At this point Iken knew there was something wrong with the situation. Iken grabbed the hilt of his blade and readied himself as well as he could. Even with the water and food in his belly, Iken hadn't fully recovered; he probably needed a goodnights rest as much as Jack did.

"Vell, vell, vell. Iken my boy, we meet at last." said the doctor straightening his glasses. The doctor turned his back to Iken and looked into the cave.

"What do you want, and how the hell do you know me?" Iken asked strenly.

"I know you, because you're von ov the last men of the Steel Village. Zhe island that the curzed blade was fought over. Your blade, zhe blade I spent over half of my life looking for; zhe Dark Cruzade." he said leaning back and forth with his arms folded behind his back. "Half ov my god damned life, twenty-five yearz of it looking for what you pozzez. Do you have any idea how it makez me feel to zee zome damned kid holding what zhould rightly be mine?" asked the doctor in almost a yell now.

"Look I don't owe you a damned thing, other than maybe a few belli for treating my buddy back there. I watched my people die and my village burn over this fucking sword. I'm not about to let some old man tell me it's not mine. My whole life is this sword now; it'll be the instrument in which I exact my revenge against the World Government and the marine dogs that work for them. Everyone is counting on me, m master, my village, my family and friends, and even the family I make during the journeys to come. So I'll be damned if an old cogged like you is going to take it!" Iken said loudly and firmly.

"Child, I burned my own village and killed my own family for zat blade. Do you really think your zittle pitty party ztory iz going to ztop me?"

Hours went by and Cat's fever slowly decreased. One of those hours he woke up and slurped down the soup, with a tiny amount of redness in the cheeks, then drank the water and went to bed again. The soup was very tasty, and it felt like something that only helped his body regain the water it so desperately needed. Six hours later Cat's eyes shot open and he immediately put himself in a sitting position. The last thing he remembered was being in Iken's ship and feeling dizzy. They were still in the middle of the ocean. Cat remembered seeing an island far away and then.. nothing. Cat was in a state of memory loss after the dehydration kicked in to an almost deadly level. Cat looked around and saw an adorable looking girl. Cat's instincts took over and he jumped out of the bed in quick speed and ran towards the girl, his hand stretched out as if he were about to do harm. His hands, now looking like claws, stretched out and aimed at the girl's face. The hand then suddenly stopped, and his fingers were pinching her cheek. An awkward silence went through the room and Cat jumped out of the window, rolling in the ground, and continuing to run forward.

Cat noticed something in that room. Iken wasn't around, which meant he was somewhere else. Cat frantically looked around the island the best he could. The second he saw something abnormal he'll have to investigate it. Meanwhile Cat couldn't help but feel an overwhelming urge to pee. He went to the nearest bush and let out a stream of clear urine in the bush. Cat had drank so much water that his body didn't know what to do with the rest. He peed right next to the café, on their plants, and continued running in a random direction of the village. He didn't know where to find Iken.

An older looking man in his fifties with round rimmed glasses came walking into the small village. His clothes were tattered and dirty, but he didn't seem any worse for ware. The man carried in on arm a black bag and in the other, there was something wrapped up in a white coat. It was long and slender around three or four feet long. It could have been any number of things, a sword, or a rifle maybe. Other than the stares he recieved for his unusualy rough appearance, none of the village people appeared to notice anything out of the ordanary.

Meanwhile, a red circle floated upon the water slowly spreading as Iken crawled out of the water and onto the shore inside the cave he was taken to. His wounds were deep and many, however none of them were life threatening at the moment. What appearened to be claw marks were dug deep into his chest and upper body. It looked as if a wild animal had mauled him. "I let my guard down an let that rat bastard take my sword." Iken said as he tryed to climb the rocks around the cave. However he soon fell back onto the small strip of land in the cave, the rocks were too jagged and too wet for him to climb. "I won't let him win!" Iken said getting back up before heading into the cave.

Cat ran through the town. He jumped over garbage cans, ran over thin ropes attached to tents and even used that to jump over the close ceilings. Eventually he jumped to the ground after jumping and landing on a fat woman. Her blubber softened the fall. She blushed when Cat's face was close to hers, but to him she was non-existent. Cat ran forward and sped up the longer he saw that Iken wasn't anywhere in his keen sights. He saw a dark alley and stopped mid-way through his sprinting. He looked at the main road then the dark alley; if Iken wasn't in the main road then he had to be somewhere else. Cat ran inside the dark alley and bumped into three men that were talking with bags of white powder in a clear plastic bag.

Cat fell to the ground and flipped a few times before getting back on his feet. However before he could take two steps he heard a bang and the left wall had a hole in it. Cat turned around to three angry men that thought they had a witness among them. One of them had a normal flintlock pistol and was aggravated that he had missed. Cat had no time to watch his back for bullets, so he took action. The other two took out their flintlocks and aimed at Cat, both of them shot more precise bullets. Cat, without worrying, moved his upper body to the side and moved his left leg to make the curve more natural. The bullets swished past him without getting a single hair or fiber of clothing. The men opened their mouth with their eyes almost popping out of their sockets. Cat immediately ran forward with his sword still held in his sheath. The one that shot first was almost finished reloading his gun by the time Cat caught up to the group. Cat immediately unsheathed his sword and continued running forward. He ran 25 miles per hour, so it was pretty quick. The sword slashed through all of them horizontally; the slash made the bodies send a steady stream of blood that covered the walls of the narrow alley. Cat sheathed his sword and continued to run through the dark alley, back to the main road, and through the town. Hopefully people won't be too angry that those three questionable men were killed by a stranger.

Iken was losing blood, but his wounds were shallow and non-life threatening at the moment. In reality the fact he had just been to sea for a week with little food and water was draining him more. He knew that if that man found Cat, he'd probably kill him or report him to the marines to get him out of his hair. Even worse yet, he might try to dispose of Ada and her family too and blame it on Cat. Iken had to act fast, the rocks weren't climbable and the cove was way too big to swim. It'd take too long.

"Fuck!" Iken said turning around. Iken ran into the cave at jog. He was looking for another exit, maybe one that was closer inland or to a shore he didn't have to climb. As Iken went in further, the light didn't dim. There were tourches that lead down the path, it looked as if the cave system was man made. After walking for about ten minutes, Iken came to a massive inner chamber. There was a fucking ship inside. Iken could only imagine it was the ship from the man's days as a pirate.

Desais dreaming away along with some cargo suddenly hears commotion on deck. Hmmm sounds like we are weighing anchor. Better get off this ship soon before they find me. Figures Desais as he gets up and slowly creeps towards the deck of the cargo ship. Watching as many men rush back in forth hauling cargo off the ship as quickly as possible, Desais creeps through the shadows. Trying to be as quiet as he can, and as inconspicuous as possible, Desais gets off the ship and heads into town. "Wow what an interesting place! I wonder where the ship took me to?" Desais thought as he began to look around town at the fine items for sale.

Suddenly, the sound of gunshots and yelling erupted from an alley nearby. Desais took a peak around the corner down the alley and saw three men chasing after another guy. An epic battle clashed between the four individuals. Although, it appeared as though the three men that gave chase were outmatched. Before long, the three individuals fell before the victor, and Desais followed the man as he continued in a fast pace through the town. Well isn't he a strange fellow. Certainly following him to where he's headed will definitely bring some entertainment. Thought Desais as a smile glistened upon his face while giving chase.

Cat ran through the main road looking for Iken, but nothing was found. Eventually he ran through a window, and Cat having ADD (basically) looked at it briefly before running through the window. He ran into another woman and fell on top of her. With Cat's sturdy body she felt like someone had hit her with a plank. Cat stood up, dusting off his pants, and kicked the woman. Cat was getting angry, "Watch where you're going! I'm trying to find someon-" Cat then heard the footsteps of a man approaching him. Cat turned around with his hand on his swords hilt. He was very cautious by this point, since he didn't find a single trace of his friend.

"Why are you following me? Do you know what happened to Iken?" Cat widened his stance and looked directly at the man in front of him. Cat's black hair with blue on the ends moved with the wind but his glare didn't stop looking directly at the mysterious new arrival. Cat prepared himself for a battle, he didn't know who to trust. For all he knew this man following him had something to do with Iken's disappearance. The fact that he was just attacked by three random individuals didn't help him trust anyone either. Cat should have asked the woman in the café for information on Iken. If only Cat were smarter.

The doctor watched as the man ran through the town causing all kinds of trouble for the people. It was only a matter of time before the people would call the marines. He had already killed three, as well as destroyed thousands in property and assult. It was appearnt the Cat man was an idiot, and the one the doctor thought he had already taken care of was the brains. At this point no one would mind if a kind hearted doctor stepped in, and perhaps killed the man.

As the doctor was about to approch the man, he spotted someone else following. The doctor stopped and waited for a bit, he thought there was only two of them. After a bit of time, it became appearnt they weren't together. Not only was the new man much better off health wise, the Cat also held his hand on his sword. The doctor realzied they weren't together, but none of the towns people knew that. It would be easy to throw both of their bodies in the fire and claim they were in the same group of pirates.

The doctor dropped his black bag and took off the while covering to reveal Iken's sword and sheath. He slowly walked over to the two men in the middle of the street and unsheathed the blade. "You two need to leave, you've cauzed enough troublez already. I'm zure zhe marinez are on zheir way. If you don't go now I'll be force to fight you myzelf." the doctor said

Meanwhile, Iken was inside the large cavern studying the ship left there. It was old and hadn't bee touched in a while. However the ship appeared to be in relativlity good shape for it's age and being docked for more than a decade. As Iken looked around he noticed there was a system of ropes, levers and pullies. He was trying to figure out what they did, but he couldn't make heads or tails of it.

Waving his arms frantically in front of his face, Desais laughed. "I haven't the slightest clue who this Iken fellow is or what has happened to him. The only reason I followed you was because you seemed of interest to me." Desais said as he put down his arms and placed them on his hips. Suddenly, noticing the poor woman Cat kicked to the ground, Desais rushed to her and helped her up. "I'm sorry about my friend here, I'm certain he didn't mean anything from it." Desais laughed as he put his hand his head. The woman, feeling frightened, ran off towards the town for help. "Well I guess that was acceptable, since you just ran into her then without warning kicked her." exclaimed Desais.

Shrugging at what the new guy stated Desais again laughed. "Man I knew it was right to follow you!" Desais pointed at Cat with such enthusiasm. "Listen mister, there's nothing to worry about. So what if he caused a ruckus, and so what if a few people got involved. At least no buildings got destroyed." chuckled Desais. Deciding something was about to happen, Desais when and leaned up against the wall and waited in anticipation.
