History: Marine HQ Rear Admiral Wardin Duran grew up in a marine town, and he always admired them, but he thought them spineless. He decided to join the marines to institute his own brand of....Dark Justice. He is now on his way to inspect the work being done by Marine Captain Dross and to evaluate him for promotion to Commodore.

His Purpose For Existing(NPC): He will show up after the current thread antagonist, captain Dross, is defeated in the Saint Pirates thread. They wont be able to beat him, but they will (hopefully) escape. He shows up to see that the captain has failed in his duties, and takes matters into his own hands. He becomes a continuous antagonist for the saints, and will possibly serve as a Worf Effect for the crew when they become strong enough. He will become a large part of their story, and will pop up from time to time. Maybe in unexpected ways.

Appearance: He is 13'6" and 700 pounds of pure muscle. He is both toned and huge and has an intimidating stature. He has a buzzcut and wears an ornate white and blue fez with 4 pompoms on it, and he has won several contests for most ornate hat, and has won a free pizza and a haircut through these contests, the latter of which is where he got his buzzcut. He is a man with a large chin and a perpetual wide open smile. He has dark john lennon glasses. He is shirtless and wears a fur cape that is tan and has white fur accents. He has a belt with a large gold buckle and formal marine pants.

Personality: He is always laughing in glorious sachenfreude as he plows through his enemies. He is feared even within the marines, and it is a common practical joke to tell a superior that Duran is coming for inspection. He is entirely narcissistic and claims he has never lost a battle. He is one of the people that give marines a bad name, he takes rewards from towns in the form of goods, houses, and women after purging pirate "threats." However, his superiors are afraid of condemning him because of his loose cannon nature, it is also for this reason that they dont make him wear a suit, or the justice longcoat. They fear he will lash out and take "rewards" from innocent people, and it is in their best interest not to have to waste resources capturing him, as he is quite strong. It is for these same reasons that they wont promote him to VA, but if he were to get promoted, he would be one of the weaker VA's.

Devil Fruit Description: He can manipulate shadows into a physical form, turning them into a solid, he can also steal others shadows to give him their strength. The solids can be used for a multitude of reasons.

Special Abilities:
Super Strength: he is ridiculously strong, and can lift portions of buildings with ease.
Low speed and agility: he is huge and cannot move around that easily, and has trouble moving fast.

Named Techniques:

Absorb shadows: the basis of his techniques, he takes shadows from people and manipulates them.
Brick Wolves: He creates wolves out of absorbed shadows and makes them attack people and defend himself.
Shadow Revolver: He creates a revolver out of shadows and fires large balls of shadow from it, the revolver is just for show, it's essentially him shooting balls of shadows
Shadow Rapier: He creates a needle like blade from shadows and stabs upwards with it.
Shadow buff: he uses people's shadows to make himself larger and stronger.
