| The island of Devaro was a simple tropical island, not much people lived there, but it was a big forest and many animals and beasts lived there. On this day though marine ships were docked at this island making it a human infested island for the first time. Martello walked around looking at the flora and fauna, he picked this island for his duel with Sombre Bleu, he didnt want to announce it publicly so he decided to do it in private. He needed to see the mans worth to truly rate him. | |

| A black cloud began to slowly envelop the sky as Martello progressed deeper into the island. Rain began to fall freely, heralding the presence of Sombre Bleu. He was seated atop a large boulder, gazing at the storm of his own creation. Arashi had been drawn open, serving as adequate shelter for the Black Cloud. His thoughtful countenance turned to regard Martello.
"Some weather, huh?" | |

| MArtellos coat got wet and soaked. Martello grinned "Oh..... im sure this sort of weather has nothing to do with your presence here...... Vice Admiral....." Martello lifted his palm and thrusted it foward, it was a light thrust but the earth below them began to shake and tremor. "I hope that will end the introductions....." | |

| Sombre looked about innocently when Martello made his snide remark about the weather. Whatever playfulness existed, however, was quickly dissolved by Martello's thrust. Sombre raised an eyebrow, and then he hopped down from his boulder to get on an even plane.
"Sounds good to me. I've never been one for formalities."
The sky darkened. The rain dripped off the exterior of his tailored raincoat, and with one swift movement, he had retrieved Arashi from his back. The metallic umbrella slowly began to hum, and sparks of electricity began to circulate amidst the umbrella's metallic crown, emitting an eerie purple glow. He brought it upwards, as one might hold a normal umbrella… for now.

| Martello the used soru , to cut into Sombres right flank. MArtello then gripped his hand back and then thrusted it foward "QUAKE WAVE!!!!!!" He sent a tremor as the air from Sombres right side began to crack as a destructive wave was forming to blow Sombre away. | |

| Without missing a beat, Sombre performed a quick moonsault that resulted in him being directly above where Martello had appeared to thrust his quake wave. As Martello's blast rippled past where Sombre had previously been standing, Sombre allowed an appreciative whistle, appraising the Rear Admiral's speed as he reached the center of his leap's arc. Then, as his umbrella was in prime position (as it had been pointing upwards before, and now, being upside down in mid-sault, was positioned directly downwards) Sombre fired a quick thunder blast directly down in mid leap, the jump's motion then ending directly behind Martello. Hopefully the blast would catch him, or at the very least, allow Sombre to take advantage of the fact that he now had the Rear Admiral's back. | |

| Martello cursed as he kicked the ground using geppou to propel himself foward away from the blast , and jumping up into the sky. He kept kicking the sky as he was standing in the air above Sombre , that umbrella was a huge problem "Well..... your really a tough one.... but try and block this" Martello moved his arm back and then punched the air below him. He aimed a tremor wave to the ground at Sombre. Hoping to crush Sombre . | |

| Blocking was precisely what Sombre had in mind. Hoisting Arashi towards Martello, he allowed the crown of the umbrella to absorb the impact of the wave. The sheer force of the blast slammed a crater into the ground about The Black Cloud, but Sombre seemed otherwise unfazed, his umbrella shield having absorbed the brunt of the force. Now Martello was within point blank range and in mid-air. A position of extreme vulnerability.
"Lightning Dance... Electric Shower!"
A barrage of lightning blasts streamed forth from Arashi. Unless Martello shielded himself or possessed the ability to reverse air to air momentum, he was in a heap of trouble.

| Martello growled and then used slammed his hand against the ground , it caused a massive explosion which also lead to a huge piece of earth . MArtello lifted the large chunnk of earth and used it to block the lightning attacks. Some of the lightning was getting through and grazed Martello. Martello grunted as his face steamed as he panted. He even combined Tekkai to try and absordb some of the lightning. Martello placed the battered piece of earth down. "shit.... your strong....." | |

| Sombre appraised the chunks of earth Martello had employed as the rear admiral dropped them to his side.
"Speak for yourself. However… I'm afraid my attack hasn't ended…"
Sombre pointed upwards to the sky, where some of the blasts had gone hurtling by, dispelled by Martello's rock shield. The nature of Sombre's Electric Shower wasn't a simple rapid fire assault. It's main efficiency resided in the destructive force of when the blasts fell back down to the earth.
About ten blasts came falling down back to the Earth like a… well… electric shower. Right back down towards Martello's unsuspecting form.
As this occurred, Sombre's brow focused with concentration. Arashi was aimed and ready, but still he didn't fire. He was waiting for something.

| Martello didnt wait. He immediately used geppou and criss crossed among the rubble of earlier. He was at eye level with Sombre in the sky. Martello spit blood from his mouth "That was a harsh attack... no wonder Nishki holds you in such high regard......" | |

| Sombre's eyes remained trained upon the Rear Admiral like a hawk. He watched the rear admiral cross the field. The Vice Admiral's primary focus had been consumed with the initiation of his next attack, however.
"I've never really been known for restraint."
His eyes narrowed, and Arashi began to hum once more. Whilst Martello had been preoccupied with dodging the Electric Shower, Sombre had been setting up his next attack. This particular technique required perfect, uninterrupted concentration… He had to observe the patterns of the rain to conduct a perfect path…
"Lightning Dance… Chained Lightning!"
An arc of brilliant purple lightning streamed forth from Arashi. The rain acted as a conductor, causing an instantaneous stream of wide zips and zags almost impossible to follow. The attack ultimately culminated in a stream that curved directly around Martello and came back down upon his exposed back. The speed of the assault was unprecedented, and should it connect, the lightning would prove to be especially effective against the soaked Rear Admiral.

| Martello used soru, he wasnt falling for this lightning trick . He used geppou in mid air to blast downwards. In terms of dodging this was the most he could do. He alternated between geppou , moving in the sky, dodging the lightning strike which came from behind. He then got into a range right below Sombre , he smashed his palm right into the air below Sombre "QUAKE WAVE!!!!" | |

| He dodged it...?
Sombre was momentarily impressed, but not long enough to fall victim to Martello's Quake Wave. He flipped backwards, avoiding the attack and landing a couple of yards away. The rain began to hamper visibility as the thunder raged on, leaving Sombre as a strange, haunting silhouette standing in the torrent. With very little effort on his part, he closed the metallic umbrella. It now resembled a quarterstaff. With impressive skill, he began twirling it overhead, faster and faster. The force of the twirling began to dispel the rain away from him, and an icy wave of wetness flew Martello's way. It was in no way damaging, it did however temporarily distract from Sombre who had chased in behind it, attempting to catch Martello offguard with a powerful horizontal swing.

| Martello pushed his hand foward and straight away without hesitating sent a quake wave to part the rain to give him sight. He then caught Sombre trying to slam Martello with the horizontal swing. He used geppou and right above Sombre, at the acute angle, beyond sombres staff, he sent a quake punch at Sombre. | |

| Sombre followed the momentum of the swing through, allowing it to hiss underneath Martello. He averted his gaze upwards to catch Martello firing a quake punch towards him. Sombre immediately began to spin the staff in front of him at rapid speeds, generating a steel force field of pure velocity. The force of the quake punch collided with this, causing Sombre to be pushed back a couple of feet, his feet planted within the wet ground. He ceased spinning Arashi and let it rest upon his back casually after the brunt of the force had passed.
"Got quite an arm there, Rear Admiral."

| Martello growled, the staff was trouble some. Martello too landed on the ground. "Enough of this nonsense...... you have decided to turn this ground muddy... let me show you how i affect an island.... " MArtello moved his hands to make the ground shake. The ground around began to crack as Martello distorted the air in front of him. The ground began to tilt as the island shook. | |

| Sombre remained placid as Martello struck the island.
"Guess it's time to stop playing around then."
Level Three. Thunderstorm.
The cloud darkened and expanded. Suddenly, the rain was thick and violent. Forks of bright lightning began to illuminate the sky. Sombre stabbed Arashi into the ground and opened the crown of the umbrella. He held onto it so as to maintain a solid anchor on the tumultuous earth. With the darkening of the skies came the darkening of an expression. The Vice Admiral had transformed into something far more intimidating than what the Rear Admiral had been combatting but moments ago. He remained statuesque and fearless, his rain coat fluttering about him in the storm.

| Martello held both his hands together and distorted the air even further. The ground below was cracking and tremoring. Martello grinned as the ground beneath them was about to flip over "Give up.... ill send us both to the depths if you cant admit your defeat Vice Admiral!!!" | |

| Sombre seemed completely at ease. A plume of lightning struck Arashi, illuminating the vice admiral momentarily as Arashi soaked in its energy.
"Settling for a draw are we?"
Sombre ripped Arashi out of the ground, releasing a huge chunk of earth into the air in the process. With a deft staff strike, the colossal piece of shattered earth was sent flying directly at Martello, hurtling forwards at a tremendous velocity. Hopefully, Martello would have to divert his power to deal with this attack before the island capsized.
