Appearance: Alex stands at a height of six feet and two inches. His normal attire consists of something both ‘cool’ and logical. So in general he wears stuff that is light and unrestricting, but at the same time somewhat unusual. The image below will tell the rest.
- Spoiler:
(When I put a * by a name, it means I’m referring to one of Alex’s personalities specifically by name. The rest of the time I’ll simply be talking about both personalities.)
History: Alexander D. Remington was born on Sabondy Archipelago. Right from the start, his parents knew he was strange. He preferred to sleep during the day, but when night arrived, he woke and became much more active. And at night, there was no way of telling how he would act. Some nights he cried his heart out. Other nights he would simply lay there and look at things and when his parents checked on him he would just look at them as if to say, ‘What do you want?’ At first his parents simply passed all this off as ‘baby stuff’, but in truth it was simply his personality, or rather his personalities, beginning to manifest themselves. (Read Alex’s personality to get the full picture.)
Alex grew older. He soon could walk and talked like any other child. He seemed almost normal. Even his oddities had faded somewhat. However, other children could still tell the difference. They all thought Alex was weird already for not only for not fearing the dark, but also, in fact, actually preferring it. Things did not get better when they saw him sitting in a corner off by himself, talking to himself under his breath. When he did this he would seem to phase out of reality and could not be brought back unless someone actually went up and touched him. Alex didn’t mind the fact that other children thought he was odd. He preferred his own company to theirs. His parents became worried as these strange things about Alex persisted. Eventually they took him to a psychiatrist, who said that Alex had Multiple Personality Disorder. This was partly true, though not entirely. (If you still haven’t read Alex’s personality section yet, please do. It will make more sense.) Alex accepted this explanation. It made sense to him, even then. After all, he had been living with it his entire life.
Even more time passed. Alex was becoming a young man and if anything, his personalities became even more defined in their differences. The half that was Alexander* became even more involved in his studies as school became harder. The half that was Alex* lost any interest he might have had in studies and started trying to pick up a girlfriend. This was one of the few periods of time in which both personalities vied for control. At last, they came to an agreement and began taking turns. After school, some time would be devoted to study and Alexander* would take control. And the rest of the time? Well, Alex* tried to get himself a girlfriend. It took a little while for him to find one though. After all, most of the girls remembered him as the kid who sat in the corner talking to himself. His persistence paid off though. (His good looks helped too.)
A couple of years went by and Alexander* was one of the best students in school. Alex* on the other hand had been through more then a couple of girlfriends. He had also, uncharacteristically, organized his time schedule for when he was in control, but it was so that he could also play some sports as well. Then, disaster struck. On a bet, Alex* went and kissed a Celestial Dragon’s daughter. More specifically, he went right up to her, ripped her helmet off, and kissed her on the mouth. Understandably, this made the Celestial Dragons more then a little angry. Alexander* took control of his body and logically planned an escape from the island. His escape went off without a hitch. It ended with him stealing the boat of the Celestial Dragon whose daughter he had kissed. So a sizable bounty of thirty million was placed on his head for being, as the Celestial Dragon claimed, ‘A menace to society’. The Marines had no choice but to go along with it.
Alex had been fifteen when this happened and for several years, no one knew what had happened to him. What had happened was that he went and lived on a far away island. He was trained by an expert swordsman, expanding upon the kenjutsu skills that Alex* had learned when he was practicing the sport. Later, he ran into a man who sold rare items. When he learned that this man had a devil fruit for sale, he bought it. (Alex* had been earning money by capturing small bounty pirates so he was fairly wealthy.) Alex ate the fruit and began training with its powers.
Five years after coming to the island, the Marines followed. They weren’t there for Alex himself, but rather they were chasing a particularly strong pirate crew. The Marines used a Buster Call and blasted the town to smithereens. Alex would have probably been killed as well, but he had been on the other side of the island at the time, throwing rocks at the Marine ships as they passed him. For his insolence, he was nearly wiped out in a vicious bombardment, but since he was so good at using his wings he escaped with only light injuries. He then retaliated to test out his new powers. In the battle that ensued, Alex sunk a Marine ship before flying away. The sinking of the ship earned him an extra ten million to his bounty. He then left the island on his ship that he had stolen and he set sail once more, plans forming in his mind as he searched for a pirate crew to join.
Personality: The most noteworthy and first thing that should be said about Alex’s personality is that he has Multiple Personality Disorder to the extreme. It is such that he is literally two people stuck together mentally just like Siamese twins are two people stuck together physically. The second noteworthy fact about Alex’s personality is that both personalities are complete opposites. As such, there has to be a great distinction between them and they must be described separately so as not to confuse the two.
First is the personality that claims to be the side of logic and reason. He prefers to be called Alexander. Alexander is calm and highly logical in his actions. He prefers for there to be a reason for him to do something. He does not like simply acting upon his emotions. Some people might say that Alexander isn’t truly living, that he needs to take some risks. Alexander would tell them that he is choosing to live while they stupidly destroy themselves with their foolish actions. Between the two personalities, Alexander is probably the ‘good boy’. Since he is so logical, he does not see any reason to for people to come to harm, so long as they don’t hurt him. He also sees that it is much more logical to be nice to people in all circumstances except, once again, when he would be hurt by their actions.
Second is the personality that claims to be emotion and instinct. He prefers to be called Alex. Alex is very emotional and quick to react. When something happens he has to experience it and get as much joy out of it as possible. When Alex does something he takes it to the extreme. He would completely involve himself in sports and games if Alexander would just let him. Alex is sort of the black sheep of the two personalities. He runs on automatic and rarely thinks before doing something. This has gotten him in to trouble on more then one occasion. (Kissing a Celestial Dragon’s daughter, poking a wild viper with a stick, and throwing rocks at passing Marine vessels during a Buster Call are just a few of the suicidal things he has done.) Alexander tries to keep him in line, but it is very difficult to control him all the times.
Despite being so different, Alexander and Alex get along very well. Neither forces their control on the body over the other. They take turns or switch when it is convenient. Yes, both personalities are fully aware of each other. In fact, they converse with each other in their head more then they do with other people. One of the few things they do agree on is that both of them prefer the night to the day. They have never feared the night and think of it as the calmest, most relaxing time of all.
Ship: Opal Ascension: A small sailing vessel. It is Alex’s personal ship, one that he stole from a Celestial Dragon. It has three cannons on each side. The floor below where the cannons are kept is used for storage, though there isn’t much down there at the moment. On the top deck there are two sails, the main one and a secondary one in front of it. Besides that, Alex doesn’t keep much out there. There is a small cabin in the back where Alex sleeps.

Devil Fruit:
Wing-Wing FruitType: Paramecia
Effect: The user can create wings out of any part of their body. The wings can be feathery, or scaly, or leathery. The type of wings created by the user is based on their mood so if they are happy then the wings would be white and feathery and if they are angry the wings would be spiky and scaly and a red tint within them, etc.
Special Abilities:
Strength: Through many long hours of training, Alexander has built his strength up to the legendary level of the Yonkou, Shichibukai, and Admirals. In terms of sheer power, he can fight on par with most of these prominent figures. However, his skills lay mainly in the use of his sword and so if any of these figures are strongman types, Alexander could still have difficulty matching them.
Devil Fruit Mastery: Alex has completely mastered his devil fruit abilities. By switching between his personalities he can easily change his emotion and thus change his wing type almost instantly. He has also learned to control his emotions while in either personality, so he can change the wing type that way as well, but the process is slower. As such, he has developed the following three forms:
- Speed Form: By being happy and/or choosing to risk his life to protect someone, Alex enters his speed form. While in this form his wings become feathery like a bird’s and he can fly at high speed, moving so fast he looks like a blur. The biggest disadvantages of this form are that his wings are fragile and vulnerable to attack and make noise when they are flapped.
- Battle Form: By being angry and/or having a high level of bloodlust, Alex enters his battle form. While in this form his wings turn scaly like a dragon’s and have ridges of spikes surrounding the edges. The scales act as armor and can be used to protect Alex’s body. The spikes can be used to slash nearby enemies, turning the wings into deadly weapons. The major disadvantages of this form is that it is noisier and slower then the other two.
- Stealth Form: By being secretive and/or being afraid, Alex enters his stealth form. While in this form his wings become leathery like a bat’s and he can fly without making a sound. The biggest disadvantages of this form are that his wings are vulnerable to attacks and do not move Alex as fast as the speed form does.
Learned Techniques:
Ittoryu Techniques
1. Loopback: Alexander can take his sword, stab it into an ordinary wind blade, and then spin and launch the wind blade back at his opponent. This technique cannot be used on a wind blade that is significantly stronger than the average or has an unusual shape. Also, this technique can only be used on one wind blade at a time.
2. Break Point: Alexander uses all his strength and stabs his sword into the ground while he is in mid-air. The sheer force of this attack sends out a shockwave of air in all directions around Alexander, and it also fires off two air blades in opposite directions from the sharp edges of Alexander's sword.
Speed Form
1. Aerial Slice: A high speed flying dash past the opponent in which Alex attempts to land a large cut on their chest with his sword.
2. Aero Burst: Alex flaps his wings with great force and sends out a powerful gust of wind which can knock back his opponent(s).
3. Wind Stride: Alex uses his wings to fly at a speed that is comparable to soru. This is mainly a dodging technique. As with everything, it is not perfect.
4. Hunting Grounds: Alex begins flapping his wings at high speed and each time he flaps, he dashes to another spot and unleashes a powerful slash with his sword.
5. Windmill Scythe: Alex dashes in the center of a group of enemies and spins, slashing everyone around him with his sword.
6. Sky Bolt: Alex flies towards an opponent, moving so quickly his body disappears and reappears from right to left then back again. This is to confuse the opponent while he is moving closer before finally shooting forward and slashing.
Battle Form
1. Wing Blades: Alex spins in midair and slashes his opponents with his wings’ spikes.
2. Armored Cocoon: Alex wraps his wings around his body and uses the scales to protect him from harm. The strength of this technique is comparable to tekkai. Like tekkai, it forces Alex to come to a momentary stop.
3. Death Drill: Alex holds his sword out above his head, lays himself out horizontally in the air, and then he spins towards his opponent with the sword aiming for their chest or back. While he is doing this, all of his wings are held out from his body so that they are also spinning and will slash anyone or anything that tries to attack from the sides.
4. Spike Strike: Alex stabs with his wings’ spikes at his opponent’s chest.
5. Dual Guillotine: Alex slashes with two of his wings simultaneously, sending two air blades towards his opponent in the shape of an X. The power of each of these air blades individually is comparable to that of Rankyaku.
6. Dance of a Thousand Blades: This is not literally a thousand blades. This attack involves Alexander slashing and stabbing with his sword and all of his wings at a rapid pace over and over again.
7. Omega Gotoryu: Alexander must be standing on the ground to use this technique. Alexander draws back his sword and four of his spiked wings and then he uses all his speed and dashes forward, moving so fast he momentarily vanishes. While moving at this speed, Alexander slashes at his opponent with his wings and his sword as he passes by said opponent. These five slashes are not only performed with all of this speed behind them, but Alexander also puts all of his strength into this attack and with his power, all five slashes can cut through steel. Thus it is Omega: A finishing-blow type of attack. The downside to this technique is that it is tiring if used repeatedly. Also a technique like this takes a second of preparation and if Alexander is under attack, he could not use it right then lest he get clobbered in the attempt.
8. Steel Jacket: Alexander produces many black, reptilian wings all over his body. These wings lay directly over his skin and give him an extra layer of protection while still allowing him to fly. The scales on these wings are as hard as steel, making them more difficult to brink. However, this is not an absolute protection since the wings are so close to Alexander and they cannot absorb all of the impact of an attack assuming the attack has a decent amount of force behind it.
Stealth Form
1. Midnight Stalker: Alex glides in behind his opponent quietly and then attacks their back with his sword.
2. Dusk Assassin: Alex falls from the sky and stabs at his opponent from above with his sword.
