Appearance: Nathan stand about 6'4 and weights about 200 pounds. He has a tall kind of muscular figure that makes him resemble an athele even though he is lazy. Nathan has light tanned skin, and a brown small afro. His eyes are dark black. His clothes are the standard Navy uniform.
History: Nathan Crypt was raised on Toroa by his mother alone, because His dad had left them to become a pirate and sail the seas. Nathan's mother had to work two jobs in order to support them both. Nathan had a hard time growing up in his village. The children would often throw rocks at him and beat him, because he was related to a pirate. The adults would curse at him telling him that he had bad blood in his veins. It got so bad that Nathan refused to come outside anymore. One day Nathan's mom pulled from bed and told him that he had to be a man now. Nathan cried, but his mother told him that he had to be strong. That it didn't matter what who his father was, or what people said. It was up to him to become the man he wanted to be. Nathan cried his last tears at the of ten, after that he never wept again. Nathan began to train himself to become a marine in order to step out of his father's shadow. No longer was a Crypt but a Gale(he took his mother's name). He wanted nothing to do with his father, and hoped that a carrer as a marine would change how people thought of him. Nathan left his village to pursue his dream bidding farewell to his mother. Ten years, later Nathan became part of the 108 division of the Navy. Captain Ironclad became his mentor and father figure. He taught him the fighting style Rokushiki(though Nathan never fully mastered because of his laziness), and about moral justice. Captain Ironclad even told Nathan that he was once considered for the postion of rear admiral, but because of his moral justice view he was denied it. Nathan told him about his father being a pirate. Captain Ironclad streched that not everything was black and white, and that even pirates were people. He told him that it didn't matter who his father was. Nathan had built up a reputation and soon had pirates fearing him that was until they reached the New World. An unknown pirate fleet surprised them. Nathan helped the rest of his crew get to the life boats to escape. Captain Ironclad choose to stay behind with the ship in order to distract the pirates. Nathan wanted to join him, but Ironclad refused to let him die a senseless death. He ordered Nathan to jump ship with the promise that he would be alright. Nathan did so with a heavy heart. He watched at the ship exploded into piece as the life boats sailed away. It is unknown whether Ironclad survived or not. It was also hinted that one of the emperors was responsible for the attack. For his courage and selfish act Nathan was awarded as the new captain of the crew. Nathan is now in Paradise looking new recruits for his crew.
Personality: Nathan is probably the least you expect to become a marine he is lazy, clumsy, and constantly falls alseep. His attitude toward anything is "why do something today that can put off til tommorrow" Nathan shows compassion toward the innocent and the weak. He would go out of his way to help those in need, because he knows how it is being mistreated. His devotion and thrist for justice as earned him the respect and love of people everywhere. Nathan cares for his crew, and considers them his family. He would give his life for them. When he is fighting Nathan changes to where people think that he has a personality disorder. Nathan is cruel and merciless when fighting pirates not caring if they commit an act of piracy or not. Anyone who raises a jolly roger is free game to him. He is known for publicly torturing his victims making them beg for mercy before jailing them though he is not without a heart. He does show mercy to pirates who he considers justified and good(though its rare). Nathan hates the four emperors seeing them responsible for his former captain's death. He thinks that their extermination would cause the end of the age of pirates, and finally bring peace. Nathan is not too fond of the warlords either.
