Serious; Phase One: Dawn Island (CLOSED)

Rashmi was deep in thought all of a sudden. Her pride was roaring inside like a hurt animal... her brain told her that this was of no use....
she looked at her soldiers. Beaten. Tired. Many dead. Godric had been defeated, Brandon was in a fight, and she.... no matter how it pained her to even think that... she wasn't strong enough to take on all those aces at once. She closed her eyes. She, too was tired. As a person, she would rather die than surrender to marines... as a leader, she had the duty to protect her followers.
Without warning, why should she warn anyone, after all, she dashed forward, keeping close to the ground, below the scorpions tail.
It only took her seconds to get to the man. She jumped up and stretched out her hand, not in an attempt to attack, but to barely push him to the ground.

"Hm ?!" *She is fast .. but, something is wrong here .. her energy is ...* Hawks thinks, and as she is close to hit him, he pulls out his hand out of his pocket and throws a glittering dust towards her face. It was nothing special actually, just dust, and his "plan" was to merely make her lose her eyesight for a moment. He bends on the left, however her strike, perhaps imbued with the last of her will, still manages to strike him, albeit not with the full extent of her hand. He is throws a meter or two backwards, then performs a handstill, he doesnt hold the dagger's hold right now, but has one of his hands on one of his katanas. *The rebellions are ... done already ? ..* he thinks.

Out of a reflex, rashmi closed her eyes. Out of... whatever was driving her that moment, she kept them shut. Maybe she just wanted to shut the realisation out.
"You!"
There was something desperate in her face.
"In my position... what... what would you do?"
Diamond couldn't cry, and even if it could, she would have said it was the dust in her eyes making them tear. But diamond just couldn't show emotion very well. Rashmi was thankful for that... still ,she knew, her feelings were written on her face right now, like reflections... weak reflections, but still visible.
All there: the anger, the humilitation, the desperation, the hopelessness that had until now only been a small spark in her heart...

Hawks momentarily freezes once he sees Rashmi's facial expression. As if he can feel anything that runs to her mind, and the pain that flows to her body, her soul, her heart. However, after that moment, he jumps forward with one of his katanas unseathed, and a small piece of a blue stone of some sort in his other hand. It was seastone. He reaches close to her, letting the stone fall on her, and following with his blade, silent. His lip is bleeding from her fist.

(OOC No no, he wont kill her, I have other things in mind lol)

(Yep, he is the character that always gets his lip cut throughout the series, I suppose this is an addition to his .. charm ? xD)

Jade snarls a bit as Jason and Brandon volley their power back and forth. This seemed like it would go on for a while and she would only end up in the way, or more likely, eating her own crew member. She was terrible hungry and she found Jason to be annoying so she decided to follow suit with Sabers and leave Jason to his monotonous tennis match.
Quite suddenly she heard a stirring behind her. She saw a man with a katana had tried to ambush her from behind murmuring something about a "demon beast" and a "bounty." She had turned just in time to catch the man's arm bearing the blade, her beastly grip easily wrapping around the man's flimsy human arm until the pressure of her squeezing prompted a cry of agony as her released the blade, allowing it to fall to the ground.
"Not this time..."
Too hungry to be in the mood for mercy, she gives the mans shoulder a savage bite taking large amounts of his blood into her mouth. She was now holding him up, feeling his body good weak from the sudden shock of the rapid blood loss that occurred so quickly that many capillaries and issues were suddenly damaged.
"Don't worry, I'll share."
She roughly held the man's face giving him a cold look as she brought her face close to his, looking almost as though she would kiss him, only before her mouth could ever touch his, she blew all of the blood she had taken from him a moment ago into his mouth as such high speeds that the his esophagus was instantly shredded and his liver became flooded with with his own blood in her signature "Kiss of Death".
"At last... time for a snack."
She released the man, watching him twitch an writhe as he slowly died from tissue damage and likely suffocation. She picked up the man's sword that he dropped earlier and twirled it a bit, admiring its balance. In a fluid and merciful motion she brought man's own sword down hard with the bruit force of her massive, beastly frame through the man's open mouth, exiting through the back of his scull and pinning him to the ground, killing him instantly.
"It's over now..."
She then lifted her large feline foot, armed with razor sharp, feline claws and opened the mans abdomen in a single pass. She knelt for a moment to extract them man's blood filled liver, and savored it carefully, enjoy the tender delicacy that was fresh, warm "Blood Foie Gras" taken freshly from the gaping wound of an unfortunate fool.
The small snack only made her a bit more hungry so she finished the still warm carcass, the blood having only recently gotten the message to cease it's warm circulation. Most Mythical Zoan fruits had an untamable wild streak, so, she was never able to control the unquenchable appetite of her feral Sphinx form. Her unusual and ferocious dining habits always caused her to implement a quite unintentional rein of psychological terror against her enemies on the battle field. She yawned with an uncharacteristic innocence as she contentedly mused to herself.
"Mm ... I feel much better now."
She gazed about the area, seeing that a group of men who had, moments ago, been ready to attack her had suddenly drop their blades and ran away in terror as soon as they witnessed the spectacle of her lunch.

Her eyes then fall on a familiar figure. She spots Hawks in a scuffle with an unusual girl. He seemed to have everything under control but she did take notice of the cut on his lip.
"What?! Again?!"
She shook her head a bit, almost amused by the wound. That magician could never seem keep those lips of his out of harms way. He seemed to be a bit occupied at the moment, so she would take care of it later. Maybe. For now she began to look around for her new captain and her other crew members, making sure none of them were in distress.

((How did you escape the flame grid surrouding you?))

Brandon then cursed his luck, he was able to at least hold off this Jason person, but not the other ones that managed to leave.He then dashed across and then He released his hands and then pointed towards Jason. Small speckls of fire around him, clamped all over his own body. Brandon then said "Good bye, CREMATION!!!!" The fire all aimed at covering Jason with flames and burning him to a crisp. Brandon used this chance, to release the fire empire he had set up earlier to trap those three. He dashed to grab Godric, he was also going to look for Rashmi and the others if possible.

Sonia was not pleased. Wally was getting himself involved again in navy business. Why would this schibukai be so bent on helping? Schibukai were not like that, Sonia should know. Sonia then said "Listen Wally, do not destroy this fort, there might be information about the real base of operations, you understand?"

"Whoa ... thats a strong fire move he did there .." Jason talks to himself as the exteremely powerful attack aimed by Brandon is closing in to him. He forces the air towards it again but most of the attack's power still goes towards him "Eeeeh, that cant be good .."
"Dragon !" a construction resembling a dragon, made of pure poison, "flies" right above Jason and collides with the flame attack, cancelling each other out in a massive explosion. Marrow had stepped in.

A few moments later Jason starts yelling "Give me a signal before you launch yourself you idiot, I got burned !" his hand and his forehead where bloody on some spots and burned up on other spots, but it didnt seemed like a heavy injury. Basing on Jason's tone of his voice, he was more annoyed rather than in pain.

Suigo appears in frond of Brandon using soru and fires a massive blue energy wave "Give up, you are the only strong one left ..." he calmly states as he fires his attack.

"Oi oi, girlie, captain, the gun's loaded, I cant stop it from firing ya know, I can supress it for a bit, but that will make it stronger !" Dude says and laughs.
"I see .. if thats the case Marine ..." Wally says and then refers to Dude, and from all his crewmates, mostly Bezar since he was causing the biggest damage "Dont case any more damage on the fort itself, aim to defeat those who still oppose us, as for you Dude, aim the cannon higher, lets try to override the fort !"
"Captain, if we dont hit the fort then what ?" Gondar asks confused.
"If it misses and hits nothing then its okay, but we might get to get a clean shot in the main city, and that would help us get control of it easier .. ! Get ready, Dude !"

Brandon slid to the side as the wave crossed his path. He was holding Godric and Godrics broken sword in one hand, so he only had one hand to defend himself. He then looked across to the swords man "Great, how wonderful, back there, i have a guy who can control earth and a guy who can control poison, and over here i got a guy who can cut me to pieces, not to mention some crazy cat lady, big jock guy and a captain who can control darkness, and you want me to give up? Hell no!!" Brandon was dashing now away from the area. He needed to get out of you, and he needed to keep his cool. If not he was going to die at the hands of these people.

Sonia then decided to keep calm, she was going to watch the situation and keep herself watching the area. She wanted to interfere, but simple guy instinct was telling her to keep herself out of this for a while at least.

"Fool, you..."
Only then did Rashmi realise just what he had dropped on her. It was too late to move, her own arrogance had kept her from it so far. All she could do was raise her hand in a defensive position. The stone touched the diamond on her arm, and it turned back to skin.
The diamond around the woud, more frail as it was, was the next thing to turn back, and the blood started flowing again.
"No!"
She saw the katana, and, out of refley, raised her other arm, which was normally diamond... she could see the last shard of diamond disappearing before teh katana went right through her hand. That might have saved her, this way, it stopped just before her eye.
But the pain was worse than most she had ever experienced... after all, until now, she hadn't even experienced much physical pain, due to being diamond...

Suigo follows the man but doesnt attack him, most likely since he wasnt fighting but was more like retreating.
Hawks hasnt cut her. The katana is just a centimeter away from her hand, but he stopped. He looks at her for a while and then raises the katana and moves his hand on his side "My apologies for using such a dirty trick .. the battle is over now. I cannot allow myself to harm a lady, especially one that is in agony right now." He puts his sword to its place and picks up Coal. "My goal was to save that man, now .. I recommend you to escape if you have might in you, some of my crewmates arent very merciful, even to the beautiful gender." He walks away with Coal on his shoulder.
Wally then commands all his crewmates to gather to where he is, since they will now leave the few rebels left here to the marines, and aim to the main city. "Is that okay Marine ? I promise I wont destroy anything of .. high importance, Weee-hahaha !"

"No! Wait! Don't take him from me!"
that's what she wanted to say, but... it wasn't like she was tired, or had seen enough bloodshed for today, or anything...
Just... it could be taken the wrong way... Besides, there were more important things now.
She had made her mind up. She couldn't flee now. Neither could she fight. So she was going to do the unthinkable.
"Marines! Bring me to your leader!"
She shouted as loudly as she could. And then, she added, much less loudly and much more contritely.
"We surrender..."

Every main fighter's looking towards Rashmi, some with disbelief, some with shock, some smile, some frown.
"Is that so ? .. Meh, wanted to fight someone strong instead of those first !" Sabres yells , obviously displeased.

"That can change the plans .." Wally says and then adds "if she gives up now, then the other force in the main city will lose moral, and give up too."

Then the sound from before echoes, and is followed by a bright light. "Kuuuuh, I guess he couldnt cancel the blast, too bad !" Wally says. The "beam" coming from the ship strikes on the east side of the walls surronding the city, tearing them down and creating an explosion.
"Aaaaah, you guys should have told me earlier ..." Dude says with a grin on his face.

"My Fort!"
Rashmi cried. Then, upon thinking it through, she seemed to notice something.
"My MEN!"
The shock was bigger than the anger, numbing it, at least for a while.
But the anger did break through. And it burned stronger than before.
"You damn bastards! We surrendered!"
She knew you couldn't trust marines! They were dirty figthing, evil monsters hiding under a coat with the letters "Justice" on it.
But what was she supposed to do? What? She couldn't fight anymore! Not in her state!
Then again... What other choice was there? Go to Impel Down? Never!
She would not.... Still, she could see clearly how her men were killed, slaughtered.
"So that's the choice? Surrender or let my men die for my stubbornness...?"
She hissed angrily and got up one last time.
"WALLY!"
Her body started reflecting the light again, became diamond. It was exhausting, especially after getting in touch with the seastone. At least one more... She had to at least take one more of those damn high ups out.
Even if it cost her life.
She sped up and towards the huge man, then jumped off the ground and aimed for his head with her diamond fist.
Somewhere, somewhere deep inside, maybe she knew this was hopeless...

((agh, so many tough philosophical choices! And all in character! This is so exhausting!)

Brandon then jumped over, he looked behind and saw no one was chasing him and blessed his good fortune. He was tempted to leave Rashmi to her faith, but for some reason, today he was not in the mood to watch an utter slaughter. He slammed his open fist creating a fire wall between them and Wallys crew. He landed next to her panting, his breath really heavy. Then he looked to Rashmi "I call this a beneficial retreat, we should go now, i really don't want your death on my conscious, your men have already sacrificed themselves, live so their deaths would have meant something!!!" Brandon didn't have much time, his fire wall wasn't going to hold forever.

((Consider this lessening the burden, and plus this loss is a lesson for her))

"But... My men!"
...Are dead. At least most of them.
Now even her own thoughts worked against her? She knew Brandon was right...
She turned to Wally one last time.
"This isn't over yet!"
She hissed angrily. The impact might be lessened because of her current state, but she meant every single word.
Then she turned her back to him and faced Brandon.
"Fine! Let's go already!"
She'd still have time to save her men later... Or what was left of them.

Brandon grinned "Good response , now lets get the hell out of here!!!" Brandon then sent a huge fist of flame at the marines blocking their paths to the ships. The blaze of fire sending the marines crumbling with fear and scorching some of them. Brandon was now himself sweating. He had created a inferno of flames around him.

Vice Admiral Sonia saw this and then said "Tell all units to back down.." One of the marines protested "But Lady Sonia, we cant let the rebel and the pirates escape!!!" Sonia then looked seriously scary "Obey an order you imbecile, what good will it do now? We have the damn fort, and also, a beaten man , a tiring fire user who would take hours to beat and a woman who doesnt know when to quit? Leave them be, without her fort, she is not a threat to the government. I dont want to lose anymore soldiers in this battle." The marines stood down for a bit. Brandon then shouted Lets go!!!" Brandon was already dashing to his and Godrics ship.

Darkness begins to form around, creating a path in the flames. Wally grins "I will give you 2 choices .. run towards that route in the fires, and reach the shore, where you will be killed off definately by my 1st mate, he isnt exactly the kind of guy to listen 100% to my orders ... or, aim backwards, in the hole I created in your precious fort, and go lock yourselves up in the city. There .. decide whether you want to continue, as you said girlie, this aint over yet, or simply convince the people there to give up too ! Weee-hahaha !"

Brandon then swore, that damn darkness freak, he was really derailing everything. "DONT LISTEN TO HIM? DO YOU WANT TO BE THE ONE RESPONSIBLE FOR SURRENDERING THIS PLACE!!! WE NEED TO LEAVE YOU CANT TRUST WHAT A SCHIBUKAI SAYS!!! SO LETS GET MOVING " Brandon was not going to let this moron do this , not now when they were so close, he was going to save a life today even if it killed him. He walked in front of Rashmi and then faced Wally "To hell with you, she is not going to go back you hear me? You have the damn fort, just take it, there is no more enemies here anymore!!!"

(Nik, asking permission to land a blow straight on Brandon. Can I ? lol)

((sigh, for some reason i dont want to see Rashmi caught, but ok fine, you can land a hit on him i guess))

(I wont do anything to have her caught, my plan was not to have her caught anyway, so no worries)

Wally closes his eyes and begins to laugh "Mufufufufufu ... ya brat !" suddenly Brandon's pulled by Wally, he was using his right hand, now in a position where that hand is going backwards, with the palm towards him. As he is relatively close to him, Brandon reaches Wally fast, then Wally tightens his other hand and smacks a powerful punch right on Brandon's head, smacking him to the ground. "You are supposed to leave HER decide what do to, SHE is your SUPERIOR you LOWLIFE ! Weee-hahahaha !"
Next to Wally, Gondar and Jason stand and grin.

(Consider that Brandon's can still stand up just fine, it wasnt a full power hit)

((I dont actually get what is it you want here? But oh well, whatever you say, but Brandon wont be able to stand after that hit.))

Brandons head slammed against the floor as he coughed out blood. He lied down, he really only had one hand to defend himself. He was really going out of it now. He was worried about a lot of things , how things had turned out. How he had failed those rebels, how he had been unable to even save one girl or Godric. He cursed his luck till the very end as he started to pass out. He hoped to god that girl ran, nothing that schibukai wanted could be any good. With that thought he finally passed out.

A marine soldier then ran up to Vice Admiral Sonia "Lady Sonia, the schibukai beat that fire user, only the girl left standing and the schibukai is trying to work some deal with her!!" Sonia was partially afraid of this, this lack of control every time Wally was around, as if things were not in their hands. She then gave the order "Due to the circumstances, grab the two pirates lying on the ground. They will be immediately sent to impel down!!" The marines slowly pulled a unconscious Brandon and Godric away and put them in cuffs. Sonia at least wanted to control one thing today.
