Serious: A Hero Emerges (Open to absolutely anyone, marines, pirates, rogues, whatever)

Fran thought about it. The man really wasn't the slightest bit shocked at the walking hand she had just created, almost ignoring it completely, plus he used the term "master". It was probably just psychosomatic, but she was convinced that this master of his was also a "mad scientist", similar to herself. She stood up, and rolled her eyes.

"Fine, I'll come with you." She started to walk, her abomination hand following behind her. It was also programmed to follow her trail specifically, so it tumbled clumsily beside her. If anything blocked the hand's path, it would asses the situation with sight. If it noted the object as set, then it would try to find a way over or around, if it was noted as loose, it would proceed to "flick" the object until the hand could pass by. She turned to Jacques, "So, are you going to show me where to go?"

Seth stopped his attack and instead blocked the scythe with his sword. He jumped back and reassessed the situation. He was outnumbered and his allies had escaped, which meant he had no reason to stay here. He considered running, but it was highly unlikely that he would escape with all these marines here.

"Seth! Move!"

Seth heard the voice call out to him and he immediately turned and ran as a small metal gas tank hit the ground in the center of the battlefield. It exploded, almost instantly filling the street with a purple gas. Seth didn't manage to escape, but instead got caught in the smoke. Instantly, his body went numb and he stumbled. He felt someone grab him and pull him out of the smoke. He looked up weakly to see Irina standing over him. She dragged him away from the smoke, where a couple of bandits were waiting to take him.

"Get him out of here," Irina said. "I'll stay and deal with the others." She then turned and dove back into the smoke, her suit protecting her from its negative affects.

(If you remember, Irina is that person who is completely covered by a metal suit. She carries what looks like a flamethrower, but it shoots out a purple poisonous mist instead of flames. If you are touched by it, it will numb the part of your body that is touched. If you breath it in it dulls your senses as well. What Irina just did here was that she took off one of the flamethrower tanks of her back, cut it open, and threw it into the center of the street to fill the street with the gas.)

Disappointment and relief filled jaques, and it couldn't decide whether it should smile or frown, so its face remained perfectly neutral while in its head, it made sure to curse its master for giving it any emotions at all.
The answer was a light chuckle in its ear.
It went ahead Fran and stopped for a second. It knew where to go, but...
What, getting disobedient again? Aaaw, isn't that just heartwarming? Except it's not! Move it, No 233!
Its master only called it by by its number when he was serious about it. Jaques shivered slightly at the thought of what would most likely happen to it later... Why did its master give it the ability to feel pain? Well, most likely for the same reason for which he gave it feelings. For fun.
Jaques didn't turn, instead murmured somthing that sounded like "C'mon..."
And slowly started going down the main road of the town, into the direction of the harbor.

Martello then cursed "Oh for gods sake, Ti'ar do not breath that in,it got Bart just now and he is out of it for the moment......" Martello this time did not bother with Geppou instead he pulled his arm back and then trusted it foward "Quake wave" he sent a quake wave through the gas splitting it in half to at least create a path , he delayed the gas getting there too soon, the easy part was now to use soru to at least escape the radius of the gas.

Irina popped up behind Martello, raising a knife to finish him off with a quick stab to the back. She had used a mixture of the gas, which was thick enough that it was difficult to see through, and the shadows to creep up on the marine.

Then Ken remembered something obvious and mentally slapped himself for forgetting. "Relax," he said. "As long as you are here, I'm not going anywhere." He raised his hands in what looked like a peaceful gesture, but then his swords shot out from under his arms and hit Brett in the chest. Ken grinned. "Idiots were so focused on keeping me from using my bugs that they forgot about my blades! HA!"

Brett stumbled, then collapsed on his knees. He opened his mouth to speak, but only blood came out. Then he fell face first on the floor of the building. A moment later, the insects were back in there, surrounding Ken.

"So...who wants to die first?" Ken asked the two bandits.

The two bandit's screams could be heard for miles.

Martello was not careful, he did not see the woman sneak up on him. However he was fast enough to dodge a fatal injury on his spine by moving, he then grabbed her had and pulled the knife deeper into his flesh "Nice try scum...... QUAKE IMPACT!!!" His fist was covered with quake energy and he slammed it straight into Irinas face. He had no intention to spare her because she was a woman, he just wanted to rip apart scum trash.

After a while, they were well out of town, and had been walking along the coastline for a few minutes, when Jaques suddenly stopped and turned towards what looked like some kind of cliff.
It simply stood there, looking up in an uninterested way.
After a while, someone stepped towards the edge of the cliff. It could have been a normal guy enyoing the view.
The only thing wrong with that was that normal guys stopped after some time. This one jumped.

Fran looked at the cliff, there were bits of dirt falling from where Jaques had just jumped. The view was nice, but that's not something she really cared about. She walked calmly towards the edge of the cliff, the abomination hand still following her. It looked worn out from all the walking.
Once Fran reached the edge of the cliff, her pace didn't slow down one bit. She waltzed right off the side of it, not concerned with death. The hand followed suit, tumbling off the edge, and down towards wherever they were going.

Surprisingly, Irina's armor protected her from the worst of the blast. However, the helmet shattered, and her head snapped back as she was sent flying. Irina hit the ground hard, rolled, but moved into a crouching position. She could barely see through the pain and blood was beginning to cover her vision. Not hesitating, Irina pulled off the second gas tank, stabbed it with her knife, which somehow she had managed to hang onto, and threw it at Martello. The gas tank exploded in mid-flight, once more filling the air with the poisonous gas. Irina pulled out a lighter, lit it, and then she threw it into the gas. The gas, which was extremely flammable, turned into a giant fireball. Irina was thrown backwards by the blast. There she lay, weak and unable to stand. She stared at the sky and thought about them, her children. The only people she had left in this world. Slowly, Irina slipped into unconsciousness as darkness claimed her.

Ken stood over the two children, the corpses of the bandits lying on the floor behind him. He reached down and lifted each of the children to their feet.

"Now, you're going to tell me what's going on," Ken said. "Okay?"

"We don't have to tell you anything," the boy said, stepping protectively in front of the girl, who Ken was assuming was his sister.

Ken smiled sweetly at them. "You're right, you don't," he said. "Just answer me this. Why are the bandits keeping you separate from the rest of the people of this town?"

"It's because of our mother," the girl said.

"Karen!" the boy scolded her. "Don't tell him anything!"

"Oh, give it up, Zack," Karen snapped back. "We've got nothing to lose. Besides, this guy was fighting those men. Surely we can trust him." She turned back to Ken. "We aren't originally from this town. We lived on another island, not far from here. Our mother raised us herself, we don't know our father. Although we didn't know this at the time, our mother made a living as a bounty hunter. She was pretty famous too. About a year ago those bandits came and kidnapped us. In exchange for our safety, our mother promised to help them."

"And where is your mother now?" Ken asked.

"Look!" Zack pointed out the window. Ken whirled around to see a purplish smoke rising in the distance. "That would be our mom," Zack explained. "I'd recognize that smoke anywhere." Just then, the smoke turned into a fireball and both of the children's eyes went wide.

Ken saw their expressions and he frowned. "I'm assuming that's a bad thing," he said.

"Yeah," Karen nodded, suddenly looking very scared. "The gas she uses is flammable, but she never lights it up unless there is no other option."

"That would be my cue," Ken said. He ran to the door and threw it open, calling over his shoulder to the children, "Find somewhere else to hide so that the bandits don't come back and catch you again." He ran towards the source of the fireball, his insects erupting into a black cloud that surrounded him like a shield.

Martello used Geppou right when the lighter was thrown by Irina, the damage was done though to Martello as he coughed terribly in the sky "Damn, persistent woman...... no doubt that would have killed me if i was a second late........ but in the end this is all it is, a futile attempt......." Martello landed on top of one of the nearby buildings and sat down to regain his breath. He was also glad that Jessop had managed to escape all of that by running with Jericho back to the ship. Martello was going to give Ti'ar time before he sank this entire city to the underworld.

Ken ran into the now smoldering street. The fire had died down quickly due to the lack of flammable objects in the area, but it left plenty of evidence that it had been there. The stones had been turned black by the flames and there was even a hole in a wall close to where the explosion had started. Ken scanned the area, looking for anyone or anything that might have survived the blast. He spotted a figure lying on the center of the road and he approached cautiously, sending a few of his insects to investigate. When they were not swatted out of the air and could not get a reaction by biting the person lightly, Ken judged it safe enough to approach. He noticed that the figure was a woman wearing armor. Her face was smashed and bloody. Lying on the ground next to her right hand was a knife. Ken could also see from the rising and falling of her chest that she was still breathing. He leaned over and put his ear near where her heart would be. Her heart was beating faintly, but it was to faint for his liking. Ken took up the woman's knife and cut open his thumb. He raised his thumb over each of the places where the woman was hurt and allowed his blood to fall down into her wounds. Ken had tiny insects in his blood that could heal up his injuries much faster then he could on his own. Although he had never tested putting them in another human, theoretically they would do this same for this woman. Ken sat back to watch his insects at work. For now, there was nothing else he could do, but wait and see.

Where there had been nothing before, Jaques seemingly landed in thin air.
It looked up first thing and had the reflex to jump and catch the girl, but as its muscles tensed, it was stopped again by its masters voice in its ear.
No.
Simple as that. He wanted to see what the girl'd do. Little test.
Jaques kept itself from doing anything but watching, but it stayed tense while walking tunring and, after a while, vanishing.
Few seconds later, the image of a small, black ship flickered in the air and finally became visible.
As Jaques appeared in the doorway leading inside, it could hear its masters voice in its ear, now slighty angry.
I said NO! No help!"
"I didn't help, master. I was just getting impacient."
It could hear its master sighing in an annoyed manner. It wasn't the first time it was being rebellious...

Far away, the man with the spyglass stood up and left in the direction of the sea.

Ti'ar had managed to escape both the gas and the flame, but he ran back to give Martello back up. Someone was doing something to the impudent woman who had attacked Martello. Ti'ar pointed his scythe at the man, saying, "If you know what's good for you, you'll get out of here."

Ken looked up to see a marine pointing a scythe at him. The marine was telling him to leave. Ken shrugged. "Sure," he said. "I'll go." He stood up, picking up the woman as he went. He turned and started off back to the children, wondering why the marine had wanted him gone.

Martello then looked towards Ti'ar, "Are you ready to leave, im about to announce the judgement on this town Ti'ar......"

Ti'ar grimaced. That idiot had taken the woman away. He had half a mind to go after him and punish him. But, when Martello judged a town, very few survived. "Yeah, I'm ready. Is everyone else back to the ship?"

Martello noded, "They have all returned.... i believe Bart is also recovered........ you should run back now..... it is time....."

Martello used Geppou and then in the sky Martello then said "Now is the time for judgement..... the innocents will survive and the evil will be washed away..... the final judgement....... " Martello held his fists back and then thrusted them foward to create a huge crack in the sky. For a while it was quiet but then, a giant wave of water appeared at both sides of the island. Martello grinned, these people had a few minutes to evacuate......

Ken grabbed the children and hustled everyone out the door. He was still holding the woman as he ran. He was afraid that the bandits would come after him, but he shouldn't have bothered. Ken spotted several bandits, but they were all running away from town. Ken followed them, curious as to where they were going. As he reached the edge of town, Ken sent out a few bugs to check the surrounding trees. They were empty. How odd. It seemed that the bandits had all evacuated for some reason. So Ken led his group away from the town, not knowing what it was that was coming behind him.

A giant tsunami engulfed the town destroying anything in site, the water sinked most of the time. There were some bandits who were caught in the flood and drowned instantly. Martello landed on the Bastion " Well then.... that was simple...... you there((pointing to one of the marines on his ship)) go and contact HQ, tell them that there are some traces of bandit activity.... and a few bandits are dead.... also, there will be need for aid for the civilians,lets get moving......"

The marine saluted "Yes sir!!!" He rushed off to get the job done. Martello then looked "Where is Ti'ar and the others?"

Ti'ar walked up behind Martello and gently poked him in between the shoulder blades. "You know, you could've waited. One second earlier and I'd have drowned." He folded his arms and glared at Martello.

Martello laughed "Oh come now Ti'ar, you would have been fine knowing you, besides your on the side of justice, AHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAA" Martello genuinely realised Ti'ars frustration, but still wanted to lighten his mood

Ti'ar made a small grin. "Of course I would be. I AM me, after all." He put his scythe away, no need for it now.

Rear Admiral Martello had decided enough was enough "Im sure the human rights activists back at Hq want to give me some lecture, so lets get moving..... besides...... we might meet some people on the way ......."

Jericho was still unconcsious , Bart was sleeping again as soon as he got on the ship and Jessop was the same as usual , still silent.

((There isn't much more we can do here. If you marine people would like to, then you can finish off the bandits, but Ken is pulling out of this RP with a few passengers.))

Thomas stood back at the peak of the mountain where he currently resided, though he wouldn't be living there for very much longer. His security had been compromised with the arrival of the marines and he knew he had to pull out before they returned. Besides, there was nothing left on the island for him now that the town had been destroyed. Thomas almost laughed. Whatever idiot it was that had sunk the town was almost certainly going to get a thrashing from his superiors when he returned to the Marine HQ. It was this knowledge that made it an almost bittersweet victory in Thomas's eyes.

"Sir, the spies have returned."

"Report," Thomas said. He didn't need to turn around to know it was Remington who came to him now.

"Our losses were heavy, but not unmanageable," said Remington. "We did manage to pillage about fifty-six million belli in treasure. We also captured several hundred people, over fifty of which are one's who can fight and will soon join our ranks with a little persuasion. Our predicted recovery time from this incident is twenty-five days. There is also...one other thing. Neither the bounty hunter, Irina, nor her children have returned to the base. Brett is also among the missing. It is highly possible that Irina killed him and took her children away from here."

"Hmmm," Thomas looked up the sky, thinking. "Let Irina go for now. It would be much to troublesome to bring her back at this moment. I want you to have everyone clean up the base and be ready to pull out in three days. Do I make myself clear?"

"Yes sir," Remington bowed and slipped away into the shadows.

Irina cracked her eyes open, slowly. She could see several blurry images standing around her. Before she could say anything, two of the images slammed into her and knocked the wind out of her.

"MAMA!" the images yelled.

"Karen? Zack?" Irina gasped. "How did you two get away?"

"A man helped us," Karen said. "He's right there." She pointed over her shoulder at the third image, which was coming into focus now. "He was also the one that brought you here," Karen explained.

"Thank you," Irina whispered. She frowned. "I thought I was going to die. The injuries I received should have killed me."

"Well, that was my doing as well," the image cleared revealing it to be a young man, only a few years younger then Irina herself. "I put some little creatures in your bloodstream," the man explained. "They'll heal you up real fast. You won't have to worry about any small cuts or bruises you might receive ever again. Unfortunately I cannot replace all the blood you had lost by the time I arrived, but you should still be okay in a day or two with rest."

"Who are you?" Irina asked.

The man smiled. "My name is Ken Hachi. I breed insects and help out wherever I am needed."

"Thank you...Ken," Irina smiled, wincing slightly from the injuries on her face.

Surprisingly, Ken blushed. He walked over to Irina, turned around, and crouched with his back to her. "You should be able to move a little by now," he said. "Put yourself on my back. I'll get you and your children off this island. I've got to get away from here myself."

With some help from her children, Irina pulled herself up on Ken's back. He stood up and led the way down to the shore.
