Kesu chapter 3: Voyage and the beginning of the next job

Becky smiled at this reassurance. "T-thank you." She took his hand and stood up. She took a deep breath and became her hybrid form, growing some spines on her back, her legs becoming more like hedgehog legs, and a cute little hedgehog snout. "Here goes!" She tried again with better results, but not perfect. After a few attempts she then became confident. "I-I think I can do it this time." She calmed down, then kicked off the ground at a rate unnoticed, dashing forward then around and stopping to tap Menos on the shoulder. "How was that?"

Menos smiled cheerfully "fast progress, like I expected from you Becky, if you keep at it Im sure you can master thease" he said reaching over and petting her fuzzy little head

Becky had a smile on her face, with a slight tint of red to her cheeks. "So....what's another one to learn?" she was ready to learn these moves, eager to learn them, and felt she could take on the world.

"Well, now that youve mastered the kicking of Soru Gheppou will be easy for you, try jumping and perform a sort of, fluttering kick at the same speed of soru's kicks, that way you should be able to jump off of the air, like this" he said performing a double jump over her and landing simply and elegently"

With a positive confidence in mind, Becky jumped high, and kicked, but sadly fell to her face again. "L-let me try that again..." came her embarrassed once again voice. Her second attempt she jumped high, then successfully kicked at the rate needed to "kick off the air" as she jumped and landed in front of Menos, hoping he'd catch her. Maybe she's a little too confident....

Menos could have steped back to avoid being hit by becky as she fell for him but did the more gentlmently thing and caught her beofre seting her down on her feet "your a natural at this so far" he said nicely

"T-thank you." Becky regained her confident attitude in a minute. "So....a-anything that will help me....not die? Like...not like deflect bullets off my knees but like be able to take a hard punch?" She was thinking practically, which is good.

Menos knew what she was getting at "ah, Tekkai well thats a bit more difficult to learn... it involves standing pirfectly still and hardening your muscles, with practise you can have the resistance of steel in your body but you'll be just as vulnerable to non solid attacks... normaly to train for it youd have to take a few hits..." he seemed almost neverious at the notion of hitting her, those in the crew who suspected him would use it as evidnace against him if he damaged another crewmate

Becky put on a smile with the corner of her lips. "I used to street-brawl for a living. Don't worry about me." she took a deep breath and stood as still as possible, tightening her muscles.

Menos let out a sigh "alright, let me know when your ready..."

Becky giggled at his uncertainty. "I'm ready." She braced herself, keeping the smile on her face.

Menos was fairly strong, a good punch from him would usualy floor a slender girl like Becky, but he knew that he couldnt hold anything back for the training and so he let his punch go

Becky took the hit but felt little pain. "I-I think it worked..." she took a deep breath. "....try it one more time."

"Becky your doing so well" Alison said warmly as she and Defluo sat from the side lines. "Menos, if you need any help teaching i have mastered 5 of the 7 Techniques in question" She called. she was trying to be as nice as possible to becky because she noticed her jealousy before. Damn! she thought to her self, my having mastered the moves she is trying to learn, might make her even more Jealous. she worried to her self, and shifted uneasily. Defluo Chuckled at her.

Menos put a reassuring hand on Beckys shoulder "catch your breath first" he said calmly before addressing Alison "a five power user... now that is uncommon, Ive only heard of two four and seven power users before... and from what I know of appraisal your fans possess a devil fruit, combined with your own and that tiger of yours thats quite a force you represent..." In his mind Klarius was making a note, out of all the members of Kesu Alison was the greatest threat to him, followed by staples, the two of them were certainly throwing a monkey wrench in to his plans already but Menos remained freindly and calm.

Becky did as she was advised and took a few breaths. "Two power....?" she asked during her time of brief recovery.

Menos explained "yes, with two of he seven skills your whats called a 'two power user' and someone with seven skills is a 'rokushiki master' I am a 'four power user' which is the traditional style" he exhaled and readied himself again "okay becky, ready?"

Becky nodded as she braced herself once more. "When you are." Two power......this and one more then I'm Four power.... she concentrated on the task at hand.

With another blow menos found that she was making progress for sure "beter" he said very reasuringly to her

Taking breaths between each time, Becky kept at it until it began to hurt less and less. The final blow didn't feel like anything. It's not like she felt numb from pain, but rather she felt nothing. She was aware of the hit, she felt it but it felt like she had cloths made of ten-inch-thick carpet coated with steel all over her body. "Didn't feel a thing. Does that mean I did it?"

Menos smiled proudly to her "yes becky, you definitly have, well now perhaps you want to learn one of the offensive rokushiki?" he sugested in passing

A smirk went onto Becky's face. "It's like you know me already. Which one should it be?" This is it....the last step to being four power! That'll just be the start!

"Why not the Tempest Kick?" Alison walk over to them. "Why don't i show what it looks like, and you Menos can tell her the basic theory behind it, is that fine with you?" Alison asked him. she didnt wait for a reply she walked to the side of the Deck, she stepped up onto the rail. she turned her head back around to look at Becky "Watch closely, you might miss it" she warned, then with out warning she spun around and Performed a back spinning kick, and blue ark of energy shot off her kick and then faded away. she hopped back on the deck and turned to Becky "So thats what it looks like and the basic technique" She said.
