Ti'ar looked down, seeing the ground turn to sand. The only one around who could do this was the man he had fought earlier and killed his fellow Marines. Looking around, he noticed that the ground turned to sand in a vaguely circular area. Thinking fast, he realized that the man must be at the epicenter of the sand circle. With that he turned and ran towards the epicenter of the circle, swinging his chain to gain speed and power on it.

Mara nearly toppled as the solid ground beneath her began to turn to fine grained sand. What is this? Trying to get away from the changing ground, she tried to step down on a nearby stone with her ability, but swore as her foot pushed away the sand that had taken its place. Her ability would not function here, and to have this happen while fighting another fruit user put her at a serious disadvantage.

Other marines were arriving rapidly, readying their firearms, but they were unable to get steady footing in the new terrain as it sloped inward and buildings slid in and crumbled to sand. "Use seastone!" Mara shouted to the marines now trying to change their ammo while slipping on the sand.

gnopped appeared he was running in full hyena form as he arived he , turend into half hyena form '' sorry I am late captain '' jumping before his captain, serving as a shield

((since gnopped is an hyena-man, he isn't really bothered by the sand

Anubis preparation was complete he had turned most of the ground into sand "Well , it is time to sink this place, GROUND DEATH SINKHOLE!!!!" The land began to collapse around the area Anubis and Satoshi were still fine however, the land where mara and the others were, was collapsing and sinking.

Satoshi looked foward and saw Ti'ar running towards where they are, the land sinking behind him Satoshi drew his sword "Perhaps we should leave captain..." Anubis was panting, it took alot of energy to do that, but he had done it
"Yes , we probably should leave..."

All of her energy now being expended on trying not to sink in the sinking sand, Mara was entirely unable to stop the pirates from retreating. The sand prevented her from jumping and if she stopped moving up, she would most definitely sink. Some of the other marines had not been so fortunate.

Ti'ar was losing his footing, but he was somehow able to keep in front of the collapsing wave of sand. "You won't get away!" Ti'ar yelled at the top of his voice, swinging his seastone chain at Anubis, harder and faster than he had ever done before. Maybe if he got the culprit, the sand would stop sinking.

Satoshi came in between and parried the chain away while Anubis began running. Satoshi simply using Lightning storm to block the chains attacks and then begins running with Anubis "Lets get going SATOSHI!!"

"NO YOU DON'T!" Ti'ar yelled, flinging out the chain one last time at Anubis as the sand beneath him fell out from beneath him, causing him to fall. As he struggled to stay above the sand, he pulled back on the chain, hopefully having caught Anubis.

gnopped throwed a barrage of knives and shurikens towards the running pirates, then he gave mara his hand to get her out of the sandy area'' grab my hand captain, I will get us out of here, we will leave this desert and then catch up with them''

Taking Gnopped's hand, Mara helped to pull herself out of the sand. Out of breath, she rasped into the mini den-den mushi on her wrist, "Bring the ship... Bring the ship around to the... the other bay." With the direction the pirates were running in, that would have to be where their own ship was. Impulsively, she was about to give chase, but turned to look at the sinkhole, which by now had ceased moving. "If the Sea Splitter can't stop them, we're already out of luck. There are more important things now." She slid back down into the sand, grabbing the hand of a marine that had sunk and drew her sword. Searching for firmer footing, she put the blade forward and twirled it, gaining speed quickly. "Great Swirl!" A gust of wind spiraled out from the end of the blade, blowing away sand and exposing the marine's head, who was now gasping for air and choking on the sand. Without a word, Mara set to work on freeing the others.

Having heard her call, the Sea Splitter was moved from the docks and began to move around the island. By the time it reached the other harbor, the pirate's own vessel would have had enough time to begin their own departure. There would still be time for a cannon volley or two however.

Gary stood a few feet away from the battle. He wondered if he should give some assistance. After seeing Anbuis Devil Fruit power turally. He knew extactly how he could cause there escape to end in a HAULT. Gary then quickly took on step forward and then quickly ran 10 feet infront of Anbuis and his crewmate. Gary then stopped moving and raised both of his arms behind his head with his palms spread out. He took in a deep gasping breath and dug his fingers into the ground. Causing the Island to shake violently. Gary then cause the Island to calm and he slowly looked up at the Trapped pirates attempting escape.

"There is no way your going to get out this area.."

Gary had created a giant invisible box prision using his Devil Fruit power. Gary gave off a faint smirk and then began to pull his hands out the ground, but stil clutched them together. He raised the giant invisible box, containing Mara and the Pirates, and stood there with them, off of ground. Disabling Anbuis of escape underground.

"MARA!! I won't be able to hold this box prision for ever! Hurry up and take him down Lass! You have a good 10 mintues!"

Gary looked up and watched Mara stand there before the Pirates bravely. He was hoping she would finish this fast, so that he wouldn't have to fight again.

OOC: Oh yeah! I'm not going to FIGHT with Gary anymore for a while..

I'm only going to Assist people who need help...

Oh, and they didn't make it to the dock yet did they?

OOC: we were already running and also we were headed for the ship straight away. but i think we should finish here because i want to get my characters to the next part of the story

Anubis : Damn it all!!!

Satoshi :"Hold on Captain!!!! FLASH STEP!!"

Satoshi grabs Anubis and Appears on the opposite side of the box , avoiding being trapped inside, Satoshi clutches his head, doing the move took some damage to his body. Anubis regained composure and saw the ship

Anubis : "WE ARE HERE!!!"

They dashed on to the ship and began preparing to sail off with the hopes that Joseph might , get on board in time
