Untouchable Pirates: Landfall (Open)

A laugh sounded on the ocean air, adding to the sound of lapping waves and flapping sails. "Well Hyu, I suppose that will be where we part ways." The captain, Jackson, gestured to a rapidly growing island ahead. Their log pose had led them right to where they needed to be. "We should reach it before sundown." A low rumble sounded from the man's stomach, though did not interrupt his good mood. "And something besides preserved rations." He locked the wheel in place and strode down to the deck, calmly.

Hyu grunted. He could see the rapidly approaching island. Normally, he would neither speak to nor care about others, but this captain... HE deserved better than Hyu's normal disposition. "Thanks," Hyu said, loudly enough for Jackson to hear him. "I suggest that if the Marines end up coming onto your ship, and they ask about me, pretend you'd never met me. Make sure to tell your other crew members."

Jackson laughed at this comment. "Considering our run in with a Vice Admiral, I think it's too late for that. But thanks for your concern." He beamed a wide smile then waved towards Stand. "We're getting close! Let's bring in the sails and ready to dock!" The doctor wordlessly grabbed the ropes from his perch atop the sails and jumped from the mast, pulling the sails up as he fell.

Meanwhile, Jackson was heading back to the helm to steer them in. "We're going to be in town a few days while the log pose sets. I wish you luck."

With the sun lowering towards the horizon, the Untouchable Pirates and guest had completed tying the last knots and were prepared to disembark. "Okay Doc. You get the medical supplies, I'll worry about the food." Stand gave a quick nod then descended from the ship's deck to the docks below. "So, Hyu. What brings you to this sea anyway?" Jackson was leaning on the rail now, back to the docks as he spoke. "And why should we be worried?"

"Thank you," Hyu said, as he got prepared to leave. "The thing is, I attempted to... correct... a problem regarding the Tenryuubito. Unfortunately, they saw me before I could get out of there. I hid on your ship in order to get out of that port. That's my answer."

Again Jackson let out a powerful laugh. "Well that does sound interesting!" He pushed himself away from the rail and began to walk into town. "Good luck on your journey and-" He paused on the path, shrugged, then laughed again. "If you change your mind and decide you need a crew, you know where we are. Now; I need a drink." Jackson continued down the street,chuckling on and off, drawing the occasional glance.

As the moon hung high overhead, Jackson was enjoying a strong drink at the local pub. His hearty laughter was cut short by a tickle in his nose, then a powerful sneeze. Another patron chortled. "Ain't that cold kid. Maybe a ladyls talkin' bout you." Jackson's laugh returned quickly at those words. "Hahaha! That would be nice indeed." Pup song and light-hearted music soon picked up, drowing out any worries the day held.

A Dark Figure Walked into the moonlite. Slowly walking towards the local pub for a drink. Opening the Door Everyone in the pub grew silent. Some one whisper's in the back "hey look i think hes a fish man" everyone tried to ignore the fishman and finish there drink As The Fishman walked up to the bar he took a seat on a stool. "Give me your hardest drink bar keep" as he took a drink he looked around. " ahh thats some good stuff you got there! Another please as the Fishman dropped some gold coins on the table

Downing another mug, Jackson spotted the fishman out of the corner of his eye. A fishman? Another patron, obviously drunk, shambled up to the bar and half fell towards the counter, catching himself with his forearm, leaning with a slightly hunched back and staring at the fishman. With his free hand, the drunkard grabbed the beverage intended to go to the strange fishman and took a swig, spitting the contents to the floor. The air seemed to suddenly grow still and quiet.

"What are ya thinkin' fish?" The man leaned in and spat at every other syllable. "Go back ta whatevah tide pool ya crawled outa."

The Fishman Being a little drunk stared atthe pirate, trying his hardest to think what he is up to (Trying to use ur head when drunk is hard ) then with a frown said. " Im a magic fish thats needs alcohol to make me stronger, so there, and my name is Alastor you big drunkkarrd!" Alastor sticks out his tongue and falls over in a drunkenly manner.
The Room laughs and continues on with there drinking.

Alastor slowly stands up and says " How Dare you damn human" And pick's the pirate up by his throat. Frowning some more.
the room grows silent
As Alastor squeezes his throat some more.

((Sleeping after this.))

Jackson laughed in his corner of the bar. So he has a sense of humor. I wonder. Suddenly, a mug flew from the back of the bar and shattered against the drunk's head, causing him to lose consciousness in Alastor's grasp. Snickering, the pirate captain Jackson walked up to the bar and sat in the vacant seat next to the fishman, giving the knocked out drunk a quick prod. "Quick to defend yourself, but having a good joke." He tossed the barkeeper a few coins, who then remade Alastor's drink. "So. What do you think of pirates?" His grin was still plastered on his face as he asked the question, not even making eye contact.

Dropping the Pirate Alastor sat back down. And Took a swig of His beer. "ahh thank you very much, Hmm Pirates? Pirates are just fine its marines and the world government i cant stand. What is your name?" Alastor Grinned At Jackson.

Laughing again, the pirate captain replied. "Shield Jackson. Captain of the Untouchable Pirates. Your name and profession?" He snickered while taking another long draught from a fresh mug.

Alastor Finishing his drink said " O I Am Alastor Ship Builder and wrecker, I love building Ship's but i truly enjoy is sinking them " You could see Alastor Smile Grow

Alastor Turn's to Shield Jackson and say's "I like you Jackson, If your In your adventures you find yourself fighting marines I would love to accompany you."

Slamming the empty mug down, Jackson let out a thunderous laugh. Leaning forward, still laughing terribly, he wiped a growing tear from his eye. "Now that-" he paused, regaining control of himself. "is funny. I was about to ask if you'd be our shipwright myself." He then releases his drink and extends his hand to Alastor. "Well then! I would be honored."

Smiling Alastor Shakes Jackson's hand firmly. "Then its decided, I'm ready to follow you anywhere captain. But first Bar keep another round!" Alastor dropped a handful of coins in front of the bar keep "aye captain do you think you can out drink a fishman?" Alastor Laugh's Heartily

"Probably not." Jackson laughed, "but there's no harm in trying, is there?" the captain also put belli down on the bar and took up another drink.

Alastor Downed 5 more beer's Before Stopping then said "Jackson where are you planning on going after this island? and what kinda goal's do you have in mind captain?"
Alastor said curiously.

Jackson slowed his drinking, and with the room seeming to move slightly, he decided it was a good place to stop, less he fall from his chair. "Going next? Wherever this points in one more day." He motioned to the log pose on his wrist, which was steadily pointing to the ground, having yet to start pointing to the next island. "And goals? Riches. Not just belli mind you, but knowledge, wisdom. All manner of wealth! But to do it all without drawing unwanted attention. After all, why have all the money in the world if you can't even enter a town to spend it?"

He chuckled lightly at his own words before standing up, teetering slightly before regaining him balance. "I trust you are already have a bed for the night. We'll worry about accommodations in the morning. I'll see you at the docks at daybreak." With an awkward wave, Jackson half stumbled out of the bar and out of sight.

Alastor Said " Ill See you then Captain" Alastor Walked out into the Moonlight to do some drunken swimming before he went to sleep.

The new day had Jackson in good spirits, despite a slight pressure in his skull. He had managed to get the doctor on the ship's deck at this early time, when the light was dim and the sky started to take its familiar blue tint. The dark water lapped almost silently against the sides of both the ship and docks, a slight chill was in the early morning air. "Why this early captain?" Stand questioned, eyes half closed with sleepiness through his mask. The captain sounded off with a guffaw and said quite bluntly, "I found us a shipwright last night." Although it could not be observed, Stand raised an eyebrow at his captain's words. His continued silence was all that Jackson needed to continue. "Ah don't worry about it. He looked the right type. Besides, he's a fishman. And besides, he asked if he could come." Stand's only response to this was to nod. He remembered quite well that he had also asked to accompany Jackson early on. "He'll be here at daybreak." The doctor then took a questioning tone. "Is that why we spent the last hour making room in the cabin?" Laughing, Jackson only nodded.

Alastor Walked to the dock's "Im a little early" Alastor Walked around the Dock's admiring the ship's and imagining how he would sink them Into the vast sea.

"Early is fine. Come on up." Jackson chortled as he led the new crew mate across the deck and to the quarters. There were several hammocks on the two side walls and a large number of boxes, sheets, and miscellaneous items thrown and tied down in a corner, seemingly last minute. "You'll have the rest of this day to set up anything as you see fit and get to know the ship before the log pose sets and we leave. You should also get to now Stand here. He loves a good conversation." He jabbed the doctor in the side with his elbow, the only response being a half-hearted, "Sure." Chuckling, Jackson started to leave the ship once again. "Now I need to get us some food." He stopped partway down the gangplank, speaking to himself; "Right. More than usual now. For three." and then headed off into town.

Stand Upman looked down slightly at the new crew member. "A shipwright then?"

Alastor Smiled "Aye A Shipwright I can Build and tear apart ships" Looking around at the ship "Very Nice Ship you have here,If you dont mind ill inspect it to see if any repairs need to be made."

The doctor simply stated, "Go ahead." It was obvious the man was not much one for conversation. "I'm the doctor. Let me know if you think you're going to die." With that, he turned and headed to his working space below deck to produce more medicines.

In town, Jackson was selecting foods he had been told were both nutritious and easy enough to prepare without a cook. This included a number of fruits and dried or salted items such as meat and nuts. He also purchased fishing bait and extra lines. Fresh water would be the next item to acquire; and what pirate ship would be complete without alcohol?
