Sea Stalkers, The Stalk Begins~

"Yes Sir." Orson let his hand drop, eying his new captain with a good bit of confusion. What's so funny? Something on his face? No that's not it... Placing a hand on his chin as to ponder this peculiarity, he followed the rest of the group as they shifted to the courtyard.

Bridgette attempts to catch Orson's eye as she makes a motion towards her hair. "Your, um...hair...has a bit of...fire..."

Serene catches up to the group and drops her damp towel on Orson's head. "Aye, thanks for having me aboard sir."

"Oh." Was about the best response the absent-minded doctor could come up with, as not only did he finally realize that he was indeed on fire, but subsequently that his vision had been abrupt obscured by something wet and fluffy. "Um, thanks." He said, to both really, as he removed the article from his head and double checked to make that there weren't any other forces of nature actively working towards making him bald.

Bridgette offers yet another eyeing of the mer....person. Maid? Man? Was hard to tell sometimes...what do they call themselves? Hmm...

Val, still grinning nods towards Serene and shakes his head at Orson before turning to look at Gnopped. He fixed the Seaman with a baleful glare for a long moment before turning towards Bridgette and nodding. He looks towards Serene again
"Assemble the crew if you would Chief Serene" he said to her "After the assembly we will go and see our new ship, and discuss what we are going to be doing for the forseeable future"

Bridgette grins at her captain and speaks softly, "Here or in private, sir?"

Val looks back over his shoulder "make an Example" he says

She nods and steps over to Gnopped, fixing him with a glare that could pierce the hull of the strongest ship. She lifts her right arm, holding her hand straight up, palm facing the seaman. "You'd better hope to hell you're not late again or you'll be flame broiled and served to the crew for lunch, do you understand?!"

Gnopped eyes widened with a bit of fear at Bridgette, and he saluted again "It wont happen again Chief Petty Officer, I promise" He said extrememly nervously, he didnt want to be denied for this crew....

She grins as she moves back over to the captain's side. "Good."

Serene chuckles to herself "...I haven't had deep fried hyena in awhile." she says with a very truthful tone.

Gnopped grinned and said, almost under his breath. "I prefer boiled mermaid, though I dont like the scales"

Serene chuckles to him again "Careful, the marines put bounties on murder."

Bridgette eyes Serene, wrinkling her nose again before glancing back at Gnopped. She shakes her head and stands up straight next to Cap'n Val.

Orson looks to Bridgette, then back to the merwoman walking next to him, rather glad he wasn't involved in the clash of femme fatales. Sheepishly, he removed the damp cloth from his head which had saved him from a particularly bald fate, and extended it out to Serene. "Um... thank you for the towel, M-Miss."

"Nwah, you keep it, its part of you now...literally" Serene says, chuckling to herself again.

Val glances over at Bridgette with a grin, one that seems to be trying to be getting wider against all his efforts. His cheeks twitched once as he turned to face the rest of the crew, still huddled under the veranda they jumped a foot in the air whenever he roared out.
"I expected to see a crew of Marines in front of me, Since when are the Marines afraid to get WET" He stood dead center in the middle of the yard
"CREW, ASSEMBLE" He roared.

Bridgette arches an eyebrow, noticing Val's attempts to keep his grin from growing. She can't help but smile a bit herself. She nearly bursts into laughter as Val yells at the rest of the crew, making them jump. She knew it was coming so it hardly phased her.

Gnopped turned into hyena form, and said ´´Ready when you are captain''

Bridgette straightens back up, her straight face returning as she states quite clearly, "Aye aye, captain!", hoping to be a good example for the rest of the crew.

Serene checks herself for her hat, realizing she left it in the pool, again, giggling weakly as she does, getting into formation and giving a quick salute. "Aye"

Orson made a sound much resembling a frightened "Eep" and flinched, as his newly-appointed captain's voice boomed out across the yard. After slowly prying his eyes back open, and confirming that his dignity was still mostly intact, he made his way into formation along the rest. "Captain." He said, mimicking the others and offering a quick salute.

Val eyed the crew assembled before him in the rain soaked courtyard, these were some of the best and brightest...not to mention meanest..

"Ladies and Gentleman" he called out "Welcome to Ship 42, codenamed ~Havoc~." He looked around "I am Captain Azure" he pointed towards Orson "Warrent Officer Orson will be your Executive Officer" He waved him forward, "He is my second in command, and our ships doctor" he eyed Orson, waiting for him to say a few words.

Orson stepped up rather nervously. He had never been particularly good at making statements. Or addressing crowds. Or sounding... authoritative.

The orange-haired doctor gulped. The self-criticism probably wasn't helping either. Eventually, he got fed up enough with himself, that he finally just decided to say whatever popped into his mind.

"Let's do our best with our new captain, everyone! But if you can't manage that, I'll always be here to patch you up." Hm. That might have come out wrong.
