Serious: The Snowflakes Form. Chapter 1. ((Open.))

"Oh this is too cool." Genshi happily said, jumping into the rickshaw.

He felt like a rich man, and he was about to get a free ride around the island on, of all things, a rickshaw. And any information he would receive would be helpful in some way. Genshi shut his eyes and put his hands behind his head, resting his head on them.

"Onwards, to Layke!" Genshi said.

Taverns were a good way of meeting pirates. Whether he would find some looking for crewmates or some looking for a fight. By the end of this day, he'd either have a crew or a reputation.

*THUD* *THUD* *THUD*

Laying in bed on the second floor of the Coast Cove tavern in Layke Town, Kuyoku shuffled his body in his sheets, trying to cover his ears with the pillow he was sleeping on. Small specks of dirt and clouds of dust dispersed on him, coming from the overhead wood creaking as people ran by. As they passed the tavern he was in, they would bump up against the walls noisily from below, as they had really nowhere to move in the cramped alleys alongside the building.

With a burst of movement, Kuyoku leaped off of the side of his bed and landed on the cruddy wooden floor, feeling the low quality grade. The wood squealed and whined as Kuyoku walked towards to nearest window, each step causing a massive "CRRRRREEEAAAAKK".

When he reached the window, Kuyoku peeled apart the curtains with his right hand and managed to get a glimpse of people running, tripping over each other into the main road. Inquisitively, he raised an eyebrow, wondering what could be the origin of such a panic.

Stepping away from the window, he sighed and turned around, and made his way over to the door. Opening it with a sudden jerk, he stepped out and yelled,

"What's for breakfast!?"

Downstairs, previously full of chatter, people stopped talking and made "Eh?" sort of noises. Kuyoku laughed, and hurried to the first floor. Finally, at the bottom, Kuyoku licked his lips and sat down at the bar. Eyeing all of the food possible, his eyes lit up with a gluttonous look, and he began to drool a little, He wiped the drool aside, and asked,

"Can I have twenty strips of bacon, a dozen eggs, ten pancakes, a bowl of oatmeal (Hey, make that two), and a LARGE glass of milk?"

The lady working the bar widened her eyes, and closed them timidly. She sighed, and then laughed.

"You got it!", she said behind her blushing cheeks.

Sitting there, fork and knife in opposite hands, Kuyoku inhaled the rich, decadent smell of meat and eggs on the griddle. With a seemingly orgasmic look on his face, he stuck out his tongue, and closed his eyes. Thinking the little heaven that was to come, he fell into a waking dream, fanticizing eating all the food in the entire town.

Jerking his neck, Kuyoku suddenly remembered the commmotion outside of the tavern! He quickly looked to the side, and in the process twirled his seat so much that he ended up faceplanting onto the now concrete floor. All of the people at the bar gazed at him, but in a matter of moments began to laugh. Red in the cheeks, Kuyoku stood up and scratched the back of his head.

"Er...", he grinned.

Making his way up to the chair, Kuyoku sat down and opened his eyes, and laying before him like the most tempting woman on a bed, the seductive breakfast food was steaming. Before he could even think, the man stuffed a generous portion into his mouth as if he were sucking in air after drowning.

About two minutes passed, and the plate was licked clean. The bartender dropped her jaw, and was muttering to herself. Kuyoku laughed in a way that sounded like "Whatever!", and bolted to the door, punching it open. The dusty, yet refreshing air hit his face, and the rain began to "Pitter-Patter" all over his body.

Suddenly, his mouth rounded into the shape of an "O". His eyes protruded out of his skull, and his hands were up in the air in a matter of milliseconds.

"WHAT THE--", Kuyoku exclaimed at the top of his lungs.

A gargantuan ice giant was heading in the opposite direction, with a little man apparently attached to him. For Kuyoku, this was too much too handle.

As Jinsei climbed up him and sat on his shoulder Gin was happy to help him get a good view of the island. He could see the edge of the island far in the distance and as he looked at it he grinned. Listening to Jinsei speak right in his ear he heard his reply to the offer of joining his crew and he replied.

"Right you are. I never really pegged you as a pirate myself to be honest, but who knows? People never look like what you think they'd be, well when their not in uniform that is."

Seeing the clouds begin to rain down Gin sighed. He wasn't a fan of having wet fur since it made his fur smell a bit, but he didn't have any shelter he could hide beneath so he decided to deal with it. As he walked along the rain continued to pour down feeling heavier and heavier. As Jinsei mentioned about seeing a large marine ship his mouth grew to a grin.

"A large Marine ship? Perfect. Lets go get our hands on that thing then. I could use a ship." Walking towards Siedel Town he was excited to soon be getting his hands on this ship Jinsei spoke of.

He could see how he was stamping through the entrance of the town and how he had left Layke behind. Looking around the town from so high up he asked Jinsei.

"Hey Jinsei do you see any shipyards around here?"

On the far coast of Siedel Town was a small shipyard with ships. A large Marine ship could be seen there at the docks so it was obvious that there would be some marines in the town but surly something Gin & Jinsei could handle with ease. The rain struck down heavier and much more violently.

As the boy in the rickshaw started cycling he head Genshi say onwards to Layke Town and the boy nodded and began cycling as quickly as he could. As he rode towards it they rode into the main town past the roofless pub Gin had removed the roof from and as they passed they passed the tavern which Gin & Jinsei had passed lightning struck down quickly shooting down into the rickshaw and shocked the boy who panicked. As the lightning struck the rickshaw shot up from the street and rolled over throwing both the boy & Genshi from the rickshaw through the window of the tavern.

Hearing screams from people running from the thunder & lighting the reaper squad noticed something was going on and it must've been to do with Gin the giant due to him vanishing off in that direction. Leaping into action they got to their feet and dashed into town. As they rushed in quickly arming themselves with their rifles beneath their robes they climbed to the rooftops and quickly proved their skills by covering every roof in the town.

Noticing a tavern with a smashed window this drew a small crowd and 3 of the reaper squad arrived at the scene to apprehend the ones responsible for this. The reapers stood 6ft tall draped in a tattered black robes which covered their heads down to their toes and beneath were weapons strapped all over their bodies. Their faces could barley be seen but their wore goggles with red lenses. As one of them stepped forward to the smashed window he looked in through the hole made and looked down at the people inside.

"Who is responsible for this?" Commander Beau asked looking at Kuyoku.

The thunder cracked in the background loudly and lightning shot down once again into the ground.

At Siedel town as thunder & lightning had begun Gin shuddered a little as his fur had began to smell and he knew thunder was a bad thing for him since he was one of the biggest items around. At the shipyard lightning could be seen to be violent already as it shot down at a shop and set it alight quickly. Gulping at the sight of the fire Gin wanted to be smaller so desperately out of fear of catching alight.

Thats when a lightning bolt was launched passed his head just above gin's shoulder. Feeling the heat from the lightning shoot over his shoulder Gin gulped again and looked at Jinsei.

As for Captain Smydon he was on his way quickly and the thunder & lightning wasn't going to stop him. He knew a giant was around and he wasn't about to let him continue destroying this beautiful island under his protection.

Upon being asked, Jinsei leaned forward as he sheltered his eyes from the rain and scoped the area.

"Honestly? I can't see a thing. This storm is brutal--AGH!"

The lightning cracked near Gin's shoulder; Jinsei doubled back in panic. He scrambled for a handful of damp smelly fur and threw himself in to it as he attempted to keep his balance. He scoffed, shoving himself away as he composed himself.

"Geez...that's worse than a wet dog." he gagged, looking the other way.

Jinsei took a deep breath as he stood along quietly. Something caught his eye in the distance. A marine mast stood tall above all the other ships in the far-off shipyard as it swayed to and fro in the furious gale. He smirked, his near-depleted cigar falling from his mouth all the way down to the ground below as he spoke.

"Hey...I think I might see a battleship over there. 1 o'clock." he pointed toward it, stamping his foot on Gin's shoulder to gain his attention.

Genshinever saw it coming. Being in a fully relaxed state, the crash through the windows shocked him greatly. He found himself on the floor, surrounded in glass, with cuts on one of his arms. He crawled over to the boy and began to shake him, checking if he was still conscious. Standing up, he looked at the smashed window, and was surprised to see a large man appear, wearing a robe of some sort and goggles. He was asked who was responsible for the broken window.

"I Guess I'm responsible for the window. But it was just an accident, no need to blow it out of proportion." Genshi said, walking to the counter and ordering a glass of water.

He drank the water and began cracking his fingers. He knew where encounters with officials in bars would lead to. Beneath his flannel shirt, Genshi began to coat his arms in clay.

Surprised by the sudden unfolding events, Kuyoku turned towards the Commander Beau. He furrowed his brow, opened his mouth, and began to laugh.

"Are you another giant!?", Kuyoku said with a wide smile.

The official military man looked at him, and lifted up his fists in brute anger.

"Are YOU calling ME a GIANT?!!?!?!?!?", the man began to stutter in a rage.

Kuyoku started to crack up, laughing so hard he doubled over and even slapped his knee. He looked up, and noticed the man was probably a marine. Gulping, Kuyoku calmed his laugh, and eyed the man. The commander stared back at him, trying to give off a frightening look with his goggles and coat.

With a sudden movement, Kuyoku grabbed a plank propped up against the tavern, raised it to the heaping man, and said....

"What's it to ya'?".

Before the man could get a hold of the smaller rebel, Kuyoku slipped past him and smacked him in the back of the skull with the wooden board. Kuyoku, twirling, jumped up into the air and kicked the tallest, most offical reaper square in the back of his head in the same spot he hit with his plank.

Using the leverage he got from kicking the man in the back of the head, Kuyoku uppercut the navy man on the left with his plank, sending him three feet into the air. Landing on his feet behind the two now slumping reapers, Kuyoku grinned widely and faced the remaining one with his hands at his sides. The reaper grimaced, and clenched his teeth, seething with apparent anger.

"Nuuhhhhhhhhh!", Kuyoku retorted, sticking out his tongue.

The man approached with violent intent, and Kuyoku tilted his fist back, hardened it with an unrecognizable black substance, and smashed the third reaper straight in the stomach. Eyes bulging, the reaper cried out and fell on his back into the cobblestone below.

Around him, the crowd grew fearful of the mystery boy with his black hand. Kuyoku started laughing again, turned around, and raised his fist in the air with one hand on his side. He threw down the plank, and, coincidentally, it hit the lead reaper directly in the forehead, knocking his protruding head out.

[[OOC: Aishiteru can I ask that you don't control any NPCs which I control as it may lead to messing up my plots for the thread. Also when you post at least leave some enemies for other crew mates instead of taking everyone on, because from your last post that makes it so Genshi now has nothing to do really. I have written a post saying how the Reaper squad have attempted to dodge and attack you back as if it were a real fight in one piece.]]

Hearing Jinsei say how Gin smelt worse than wet dog he dipped his head a little, he knew he stunk in the rain but didn't need someone to confirm it. It wasn't his fault. Feeling something stamp onto his shoulder Gin heard Jinsei point to a large Marien ship at the docks and he started to run for it. Lightning shot down either side of Gin after each step he took till finally one powerful bolt struck him painfully in the chest.

Being hit in the chest by such a powerful lightning bolt the electricity found its way through his entire body frying his brain even finding its way up towards Jinsei. Gin's fur stood on edge and black smoke began to rise from him. His eyes threw open wide. The pain was so powerful he couldn't even scream, falling to his knees he felt drained as the shock began to leave his body into the ground it had been searching for since interaction.

The Marine ship just seemed further away now and the only thing which didn't help now was how the silhouette of a muscular man stood before him on the roof of a building in front of the shipyard. The only visible feature of the man were his shining teeth whilst he let out a small chuckle.

As Kuyoku attempted to attack the Reaper Squad leader Commander Beau he knew something was coming when he saw him holding the plank and as it came towards him Commander beau ducked and spun around crouching holding two long knives in his left hand. Commander Beau happened to be ambidextrous so using his left hand wasn't much of a hindrance as it would be for some others. He attempted to slice into Kuyoku's ankle. As he head leapt into the air to kick him he had missed but as he would be coming back down to earth he forced his left hand into an upper cut to stab the blades into Kuyoku's body. It didn't matter where he hit him as long as he hit him he would be happy since gravity would help him dig in deep.

Seeing how this man was violent after attacking his Commander the reaper who Kuyoku came after as he swung the plank at him he didn't have the time to react much and so he threw his hands out in front to block the plank but the force behind it was so powerful he was thrown into the air. His hands had taken the brunt of the impact but thankfully for their re-enforced gloves the impact was lessened. Landing on his feet crouching the reaper removed two swords from under his robe and clamped his large fingers around the hilts and held them both in one hand with ease. He looked at Genshi & Kuyoku and grinned. Standing beside his Commander he was confident these men wouldn't be able to take them down.

As Kuyoku attacked the 3rd Reaper with his blackened hand the reaper had been about to remove a small version of a cannon from his chest to fire at Kuyoku but as the punch came his way it hit the weapon and the force hit the reaper in the stomach. The strength shocked him but didn't quite stop him. Grunting he looked at Kuyoku and removed it from beneath his robes and pointed it at Kuyoku. Seeing Kuyoku as the bigger threat at this moment in time all of the 3 reaper's attention was focused on him.

Hearing the commotion by the tavern with the broken window other reapers got the idea that they had to aid their Commander. There was always success in numbers and approaching the tavern armed with smaller cannons they all hoped to offer a hand in capturing the two responsible for this disturbance in the town. Commander Beau looked at the two and figured it would also be a good idea to ask if they knew anything about the giant who'd recently arrived here. It was their number one priority to catch him after all.

Arriving at Siedel town in time to see a large lightning storm had broken out Smydon grinned. He had been looking forward to such things and couldn't wait to get his hands on that giant. Looking through the town he could see the giant slumping over in the centre of the town. He wondered if he'd been hit by lightning or something else but didn't quite care. He was subdued and that was enough for him. Taking a few steps to him and he couldn't help but gag.

The town was filled with a retched smell which seemed to be coming from Gin. As he had been struck by lightning it had cooked off his wet smell fur and thus the stench was released through out the town reaching much further distances making the town unbearable.

Slapping his hand across his face Smydon realised this wasn't enough, he had nothing he could use to provide him with a fresh scent and realised he was a Marine Captain. He should be able to march straight into the horrid stench and take down the creature responsible without a problem. He would need to do so especially if he wanted that promotion. Gritting his teeth and attempting to arrest this snowy furry giant he marched on in to the stench with meat hook in hand.

Genshi quickly unsheathed his swords and leaped out of the window. Outside, he spotted the three soldiers, a smile crept onto his face. He hadn't been in a fight for a while, and he needed to brush up his skill. He raised his swords, and brought them down with all his might, down onto the commander and his ally beside him. One sword for each of them.

"Don't underestimate my skills. You'll regret it." he shouted, bringing his swords down on the two.

~Lucien was hiding one of the alleys, crouched and nearly unnoticeable. A bunch of pirates thought Lucien was a debt collector, but he didn't know exactly how they thought that. Maybe it was the way he spoke. He waited for the right moment to escape. He didn't want to kill any body today.~

*whisper*All these damn fools have ruined my day. -sigh- I wonder if anyone else is having a bad day*whisper*

~Lucien saw a giant. Fooling around with a captain. Didn't that giant realized he could have killed that captain several times yet? Since he didn't seem to lucien walked over slowly. His stride made his slow about 3 times a regular person's speed. He wasn't quite as big as the giant, but he was surprisingly close. Lucien tried ro picked up the captain by his arm, but instead got his stupid lieutenant. Lucien turned to the captain.~

*sarcasm*That was pretty smart, attacking a giant when a waton is hiding the town. It was also amazing to see you fight like a whimpering dog*sarcasm*

~Lucien tossed the man's lieutenant into the air a little and then he kicked him through a broken building with ease. Lucien decided to talk to the giant, after noticing the jolly roger.~

*curious* Hello sir, my name is Lucien D. Ragnorak. My bounty is 45 million berries, and I have yet to find a crew. I am a shrewd negotiator of prices, and I noticed you're a pirate too. Let me guess your bounty... 30,000,000? *curious*

~Lucien knew the giant probably didn't have a bounty at all, but that was how strong he was. Lucien was stronger, but that pirate could get pretty strong pretty quick. He could easily get a bounty of 60,000,000 if he was in the right place at the right time. Lucien awaited his response, while beating away all of he pesky insects (grunts) with his foot~
