Serious: The Snowflakes Form. Chapter 1. ((Open.))

The East Blue rolls along calmly as the blazing sun above shines bright; signaling the middle of the day has come.

Sat down, arms behind his head and leaning on the side of his boat, Jinsei Dekanto relaxes with a lit cigarette between his teeth as the lazy day progresses. His fishing boat, The Drifting Spirit, wafts on aimlessly through the vast sea. Alone on his ship, Jinsei heads for no where in particular; moving along as he has done for the past decade.

On the horizon however, an island juts out from the blue haze of the water. Jinsei rises, narrowing his eyes and leaning forward to get a good look. Though he can't make out much, what he can determine is that the island is inhabited with a small town surrounded by tropical trees. He smiles widely, nodding to himself. "Alright! Finally...a town. Maybe I can find a bar there and get a drink and a hot meal!"

He begins to approach the unknown town blindly, adjusting his sails to blast full speed ahead.

The docks shook as they met the large feet of Tequila Gin Captain of the Snowflake Pirates. They had never expected a being so tall, every person looked on at him in shock unable to close their mouths. They didn't know what they were looking at and couldn't find the words in their mouths to say a single word not even a welcome to the snowy beast stood before them. Tequila stepped over them leaving behind his large ship which was just big enough to fit him in it. As he stepped into the town people screamed and ran to the sides of the streets to avoid his crushing foot steps. He didn't care if he stepped on one though he was a pirate now. As he walked through the town he came across a shady looking pub. He couldn't enter it and that annoyed him but he could sit down beside it however and drink.

Sitting down cross legged beside the pub he pulled the roof off of the pub and looked in. The patrons in the pub looked up in a panic as he grinned looking in.

"Could I have a pint of Tequila?"

The bartender nodded and poured a pint of tequila shaking. He was terrified of seeing such a large creature and handed over to him a large mug than normal. Tequila shook his head knowing he wouldn't be able to hold the mug and he simply picked up the barrel from the back of the pub and emptied it out into his mouth. He pulled a face as he drank the horrible tasting beer. The bartender and patrons looked up in shock at Tequila unimpressed with his actions of drinking their booze. Tequila hinted pour into his large mug but as he did so the mug wasn't even quarter filled. Tequila gave the bartender a stern look. He wasn't pleased. Drinking what tequila there was he found he was still thirsty. The bartender asked for money and thats when Tequila looked at him and removed his knife.

"So you want me to pay for all that sickening beer I just drank?"

Seeing the large blade playfully spinning around his fingers he gulped and shook his head.

"Thats what I thought."

Swallowing what there was at the bottom of the barrel Tequila sighed. It wasn't anywhere near enough for him and he wanted much much more but if it wasn't there he couldn't have it. He knew he should've drank the beer already in the barrel even if it was disgusting, at least it would've made him merry.

After a short amount of time sailing, Jinsei arrived at the island's pier, tying his boat securely to the dock. He stepped out from The Drifting Spirit and stretched with a yawn, looking around slowly. His expression fell flat; an eyebrow perked. "Where the hell is everyone?"

Jinsei began to make his way in to town. The streets were completely barren and a few of the houses were even locked and barred with large planks of wood. He looked in to a few windows of the houses and shops. Fearful eyes watched him as if telling him to run...but from what, exactly?

Young Jinsei Dekanto stopped in his tracks as a frightened man came from around the corner of another street; screaming at the top of his lungs and running his way. He called out to the screaming man. "H-hey! What's going on here!? Stop!" The cowardly citizen nearly tripped on to his face as he shoved Jinsei out of his way and continued to run for what seemed to be his life. "Hrm...weird." Jinsei stated, scratching his head.

Turning the corner from where the man had fled, Jinsei laid eyes on the now-roofless tavern and the collosal snow-colored giant sitting next to it. His eyes widened as he took a step back. "What...what the hell is that!?" He blurted out loudly, covering his mouth afterwards.

Sitting beside the pub placing his mug down Tequila turned back to the bartender and said to him.

"Hey bartender you got any idea what island this is?"

The bartender felt as if this giant was asking him a ridiculously stupid question and was about to insult him when he saw how sun light glinted from the blade into his eye and he gulped again.

"Yes of course I know this is Goldenbeak Island and this is one of the 3 towns on this island."

"One of 3 you say?"

The bartender nodded.

"Whats this town's name?" Tequila asked curiously.

"This town is called Layke Town then there's Siedel to the north east and Tealle to the south."

Thinking to himself about these towns Tequila was already beginning to feel curious about the island and wanted to visit these other towns. He may have only recently arrived here on the island but he was planning on staying a few days so he could hopefully find crew mates or a ship big enough to accommodate his size.

He wondered about this island and if it was worth his time but wasn't too sure yet. Perhaps after visiting the other towns he would have his answer but until then he would have to explore. Getting to the other towns wouldn't take him too long wither not at his height.

Reaching back into the pub Tequila lifted out another few barrels and he pryed the tops off and began to drink what he could open up. Crossing his arms angrily and glaring up at Tequila the bartender wanted pay but could tell from the branded mark on his back he wasn't dealing with a member of the public but a pirate and it would be best to keep his mouth shut until spoken to.

Eyes gaped, mouth covered and heart pound, Jinsei stared at the large beast. He had never come face-to-face with a Giant before; he had only heard tales and legends around towns he had drifted to...to actually see one seemed to be an unbelievable concept.

However...his initial shock began to settle; watching the Giant consume barrel after barrel of booze. "Is he just...a patron?" he thought to himself, taking a few steps closer.

A feminine voice called out from an alleyway. Jinsei looked to his left to see a young woman around his age calling him over, speaking with a hushed tone. "Are you crazy!? Don't go over there!" she snapped.

Stopping for a moment to think, he looked between the girl and the Giant. "I dunno...he kinda' looks like he's just having a few drinks." he shrugged, looking to the girl curiously.

Her mouth gaped, eyes quivering in a mix of disbelief and fear. "Are you stupid!?" Jinsei looked back to the Giant. "Well...I don't know. Has he actually attacked anyone?" The girl stopped, stuttering as she barked out her next words. "W-w-well...no...but look at him! Does he look friendly to you?"

Turning toward the pub, he began to approach the giant with a blank expression plastered to his face. The girl called out to him quietly. "Hey! H-hey!" she whispered, pulling back in to the alley as she was ignored.

Jinsei dug his hands deep within his pockets as he stopped and looked up to the Giant's face...staring awkwardly.

As Tequila finished another barrel he dropped it to the floor and it smashed to pieces upon impact. He wan't an evil pirate but he wasn't a hero neither and didn't have any plans for this island currently. As he sat there and looked down for the next barrel he noticed a woman 7 man looking up at himself. He paused for a moment before noticing how they didn't run in fear and shock.

As he looked at the man he rolled a barrel over towards the man calmly and grinned.

"Care to join me for a drink son? Its been quite lonely recentness."

Reaching for another he used the blade of his knife to flick the lid of a barrel off and finished the last of his barrel quickly. He only had a few more barrels to go through till he was done and could make a move to the other island's. His body felt better after the drinks as it have been a long time coming to him.

Adjusting his hat so the sunlight didn't shine over him so much Tequila had begun to sweat and he couldn't do anything about it so he downed his barrel before throwing it to the ground and watching it smash.

Looking at the man he noticed how he still stood there and wondering what else that guy was here for Tequila liked his confidence and how brave he was to slimly stand up in front of a giant and talk. He knew he could crush the guy if he was rude and would do so as he'd done so before due to his large size,

Jinsei's eyes widened as the barrel came rolling at him. He clawed at the wood as it began to steamroll him to the dirt as if he weighed nothing. "No no no no no no no no no no no!!!!" he cried as it overpowered him and stopped on top of his legs.

He shouted. "Aw c'mon! Get this offa' me!" he cried as he pushed and pushed at the apparently heavy and large keg the giant had seemed to misjudge. "This is gonna cost you a fortune, you know!" he growled, shoving with all his might to no avail.

People from around the town had their eyes set on the scene; what kind of crazy man would just approach a giant such as Tequila without any kind of discretion at all? Though the surrounding area was dead silent and desolate, one could feel the whispers of worry and confusion rushing through the blood of the town's people. The town was beginning to grow restless with anticipation.

Hearing screams as the barrel rolled over the man's legs Tequila noticed the screams and looked down at him. Noticing he wasn't strong enough to stop the momentum he reached for the barrel and lifted it off of him. As he sat it up he placed it down beside him and opened another barrel which he drank down quickly. The booze was beginning to take a little bit of an effect on him making him very merry.

Leaning towards the small man compared to his size Tequila looked down at him.

"Sorry about that. Thought you were strong enough to stop it. Didn't think I rolled it that hard."

Still sitting cross legged by the pub Tequila knew it was probably time he made a move. He needed to get his hands on a proper ship. But even more important he needed to visit these other towns. Or did he? He wasn't entirely sure. But since he'd just flattened this man he felt that he should speak to him about rolling the barrel over him. He didn't mean to harm him. Maybe he could ask this guy a few questions to learn more about him and this place if he knew anything about it.

Being a new comer to the island he would have to learn some new information about the island. Looking back down to the bartender he noticed he was gone. Most probably running for him life terrified of the snowy giant sat beside his pub. The sun was beating down and the day was a nice warm sunny one but thanks to the large amount of fur covering almost every inch of Tequila's body he was sweating and disliked this island. He preferred a much colder island compared to this one but he couldn't sit in the shade since there wasn't any big enough for him. Grinning at the little man Tequila waited to see if the he'd rolled the barrel to was alright or not. He hoped he was since he may have been a pirate but he wasn't mean or cruel unless he really needed to be.

The brand on his back stung a little as the sun light shown down over it but it was a pain he could bear and reminded him why he had set out on his journey to become a pirate in the first place. Smiling at the memory he looked down at the hilt of his knife and butt of his sawn-off shotgun which had his jolly roger on engraved into them. It made him happy to see so many weapons unique to only himself. He would one day make these weapons stronger and much much better to help himself reach yonko level but the question was when. It wouldn't take him longer to gain a bounty since he was a giant and it was fairly easy for him to smash up towns. Raising his head to look at the man Tequila's face was shaded from the rim of his bowler hat and he waited for the man's reply as he crushed the empty barrel in his hand and dropped the debris to the ground.

Getting up relatively unharmed, Jinsei began to pat down his rear, clouds of dust swirling in to the air as he did.

"Who are you, anyway?" he asked, just looking at the barrel wondering how to open it.

He dug in to his pocket, withdrawing a small flat silver case and a lighter. Opening the case, he withdrew a rather fancy looking cigar as he popped it between his teeth and lit the end. With a puff of smoke he'd study the giant before him, unsure of whether he should be terrified, amused, or both.

Jinsei set eyes on the rifle that might as well have been a cannon, engraved with the jolly roger symbol on the butt. He narrowed his eyes in suspicion as he thought to himself. "No way...is this guy a pirate?" He looked up to the Giant, his heart now pounding...he couldn't quite predict how this little chat was about to turn out. One thing was for sure though...Jinsei knew deep down that the chances are he couldn't beat this guy with just his Devil Fruit powers. He had to play it cool to get out of this one unscathed...something he also knew he wasn't particularly good at thanks to his arrogant pride he knew he was flawed with. Now he truly understood why everyone ran away in to their homes; not that barring their doors or anything did much good...it was better than sticking around and doing nothing. Jinsei's teeth formed a smirk around the cigar as he chuckled to himself. He figured since he was already here...might as well see where it goes. The guy didn't seem so bad, anyway. After all...he did get a free drink even though he couldn't open it.

Seeing the man getting up unharmed Tequila was happy to see this and when he asked who he was he waited a little before answering. He may have been a pirate but wasn't about to let his name out so easily.

He looked at the barrel then at the man and noticed him pulling out a cigar and lighting it. So from what he could tell already this man was a smoker and tough. Those two things would work for his crew he thought to himself. As he looked at the barrel he reached down and flicked the end off like a coin with ease then laid it down beside him.

"I'm Gin...I'm Captain of the Snowflake Pirates..."

Dropping his knife into the ground so it stuck in deep the jolly roger inscribed into the hilt could be seen by Jinsei.

"Thats my jolly roger. Who are you? A local?"

He could use a local since he wanted to find out what the other towns of this island had to offer.

Though shaken up at the mere sight of the Giant on the inside, Jinsei knew one thing about pirates a man should never forget: never show your fear. He silently watched the gigantic blade sink in to the dirt, studying the symbol on its hilt before looking up to the Giant's face with a look of indifference.

"Jinsei Dekanto. I'm just a traveler. I was -hoping- to stop by this town for a drink and a meal...didn't expect to find you, big guy." he said with a smirk.

"So...where's your crew?" He crossed his arms, staring up at Tequila's eyes, cigar loosely hanging from his lips.

Around the town, people began to crack their doors open at the sight of the confrontation; whispering to each other and wondering what Jinsei was going to do next. It was quite obvious that when Tequila spoke his name, people were watching...the scene was becoming more involved.

"A traveller eh? So you can navigate?"

Gin asked looking at Jinsei with a raised eye brow. He now knew his name he smoked cigars & could possibly navigate. This was starting to sound like a great crew mate. he would still have to convince the man to join him though and that could be easier said than done.

"Right well what're you here for Jinsei?"

Gin asked curiously. He could feel eyes staring at him and didn't like it, as he sat there looking at Jinsei he attempted to ignore the stares but continued his conversation with Jinsei.

Due to the bartender's upset with Gin's actions he had reported to the Marines to arrest or remove the threat which Gin proved to be. The Marines had heard about such a would be threat and were shocked to hear of such a powerful creature all the way out here in the East Blue. Knowing that he could become such a danger in the future Marine Captain Smydon ordered a Marine group to confront the giant.

As Smydon heard about the giant he had ideas about what to do with it but if he refused then he would happily sever his spine and torture the large creature. Hearing of another man speaking to the giant he wondered what their connection could be. Sitting in Tealle Town it would take the squad he'd sent out a good amount of time to arrive in Layke Town.

He sat in his office thinking about them.

Unfortunately the Island's Marines were located in only Tealle Town and based there. it was a mainly Marine owned Town where their families lived they trained and lived in the barracks. The other two towns were under the protection of the Marines too but the Marines only ever showed up when in need and never any other time.

The Bartender returned from the closest accommodation with a Den Den Mushi and looked at Gin & Jinsei. He wanted to step in and say something but was too scared to do so and remained at his distance keeping his life.

As Gin sat there finishing off the last barrel he looked at Jinsei and thought about how he could convince him to join his crew. But before he could open his mouth to say something he hoped would convince him he felt something stinging and painful shock him. Gin's facial expression could say it all as his smile stopped and a quiet grunt was heard.

Turns out the people of Layke Town were pretty terrified of such a large creature.

"Like I said...I'm just here to relax. Figured I'd see why you were--" Jinsei would stop as Gin winced quietly. He took a step forward, raising his voice slightly.

"Uh...you okay there, big guy?" He asked, scratching his head. He looked to the bartender holding the snail, who doubled back and dropped it upon a mere glance, and then to the entire town. People watching hid behind doors and the corners of the streets. They began to whisper louder, pointing fingers at both Jinsei and the Giant. Dekanto did his best to keep his composure, confused and a bit unsettled by the situation though he was, and looked back forward.

Jinsei felt a dark sense, as if something really bad were about to happen. He insecurely put his hands in his pockets, leaning on the barrel of alcohol he had been crushed by moments ago and looking up to the Giant.

As Jinsei said how he was here to relax then asked if he were alright Gin gulped as the pain got worse. The pain was a shock and Gin leant forward. his eyes got bigger and he raised himself up to his full height and turned around to see behind him. Looking down he saw a mob of angry people.

There was a short podgy man with a blood spear which he had dug into Gin's lower back and looking down at them all Gin breathed heavily and looked at them with furious eyes. He wasn't pleased with this. He was merely a traveller not yet a criminal. All he had done was steal some beer.

Looking down at the mob he noticed how the man at the front looked at jinsei and shouted to him.

"Come on your a human. Lets get this big bastard!"

The mob all charged to attack Gin and a few people began jabbing him and hitting him with knifes & hitting him with kitchen tools. Barely big enough to do any real damage the attacking still harmed him a little and due to the irritation about them attacking just him Gin removed his sawn-off shotgun and spun it on his finger before slamming the butt of it down on the ground using his Butt Crush technique.

the butt came crashing down and the public all dived to either sides cowardly and backed off whilst there was still a group digging in to his calf and the little man climbing up Gin's thigh.

On their way from Tealle Town to Layke Town the Reaper squad was sent to collect the giant Gin & Jinsei. Knowing nothing about these two new comers to the island it was mentioned they should both be arrested and brought back for questioning and to be transferred to Impel Down.

They may have known very little about these two but it was clear they weren't here for anything legitimate. The giant was large and tearing the bar apart and the symbol branned into his back which the bartender mentioned was that of a Pirates or at least it seemed to be one as for the other man he looked rough and seemed to talk with the giant as if they were friends and through association he would also be a criminal.

With people still stabbing away at his feet Gin raised his foot about to slam it down and create a small quake he felt someone stab him in the sole and froze not knowing what to do. If he slammed his foot down he would be out in more pain and he couldn't reach under his foot and remove the public from it either.

Jinsei stumbled, nearly falling over as Gin used his Butt Crush technique. He gained his bearings, growling as he ran over to the crowd waving his arms and yelling. "Hey guys! Come on! Stop! The guy didn't do anything to deserve this! Why all the fighting?"

He ran up to a rather large and muscular townsman rushing in to stab Gin's foot with a rusty pitchfork and grabbed his arm; holding him back. "Come on, the guy isn't that bad!" The townsman growled, punching at Jinsei's face.

Jinsei fell to the ground, his nose spraying a light stream of blood as he hit the dirt. He opened his eyes lazily, dazed by such a surprisingly powerful punch and rubbed his head, groaning. He mumbled to himself. "T-the hell was that for?"

As his eyesight came to clarity, he noticed the same large man stood over him, glaring. "Get up, punk. If you're gonna defend this monster you're just as bad as he is." Jinsei looked to the side, turning his head in the dirt to see his still-lit cigar on the ground, smoldering...but covered in grime and blood.

He looked back to the one that had punched him...his eyes had suddenly grown dark; giving him a deathly stare. "You..." he whispered...raising to a yell. "Do you have any idea..." he growled, standing up slowly, head to the dirt. "How hard it was to find that type of cigar?" He clenched a fist, looking up with a menacing glare.

The townsman smirked, dropping his pitchfork and putting up a pair of balled fists, his arms buldging with thick muscle. "So, you wanna fight, kid?" Jinsei cracked his knuckles which were significantly smaller in comparison, as he wasn't the strongest looking guy you've ever seen.

The man roared out. "Think you're tough!?" as he threw a punch to Jinsei's jaw. Suddenly, Jinsei's head dashed to the left, dodging the punch as if by pure instinct. He smirked devilishly as he drew back his arm.

"Dekanto Makuzai..." his arm suddenly grew, buldging in an instant in to a huge fist of dark brown wood; thick and deadly as if it were a gigantic battle mace. "SUCKER PUNCH!" He threw his newly-wooden arm forward, bashing at the man's defenseless jaw! A loud, bloodied cry echoed as broth of teeth and blood splattered across the street, the man flying back ten whole feet from the incredibly devastating blow.

Jinsei, still practically fuming with rage, stood victorious, giant wooden arm and fist anchored in the dirt as he stood over it, glaring up at the man he had punched. His arm shifted back to its normal fleshy state as he rose, having caught a few of the townspeople's eyes. They gasped and stopped their attack...dropping their weapons as their legs began to shake.

"T-t-that man! H-he's got the powers of the D-devil Fruit!" they cried, a few fleeing in pure terror.

As the mob screamed in horror about the devil fruit Jinsei seemed to have Gin raised his eye brow as he plucked the horrid little man who led this mob from his furry chest. Holding the little man he raised him up to his face and Gin breathed into his face. The man was overcome by a cloud of boozy breath. As he struggled to breath in it Gin felt how his ankles were no longer being attacked and glanced down to see how the mob had subsided with the shock of Jinsei's devil fruit.

Stepping back from Gin he grinned and it was about time these pathetic fools stopped attacking him. Now with no threat about lowering his foot Gin placed his foot back down and allowed the man in his grasp to fall from his fingers. Angered by him he let him fall the entire drop to meet his foot which was shooting up to meet him.

As the man was met by Gin's foot the public looked onwards in horror as the man who'd led them to attack Gin was drop kicked far from Layke Town in the direction of Tealle Town. Grinning at the shock on their faces Gin removed his inscribed sawn-off & aimed it at them. The barrels were like cannons to them and in a second they rushed from the sights as quickly as possible terrified of losing their lives.

Happy to see them vanquished back to their homes Gin sighed and turned to Jinsei. He lifted his knife from the ground and placed it back in his sheath.

"Thanks for your help there Jinsei. I'm not much of a Pirate yet, I've still got a bit to learn. So whats this about a devil fruit you have? I've heard of them but never witnessed their power. So what can you do?"

Looking at Jinsei he could see how he had been hit in the face and how his own blood was in a small puddle on the ground. As he looked at it he smirked. Its was nothing too bad and he would be alright. Just a few small wounds nothing more than a pin to Gin but to humans they'd be pretty serious.

But as he looked at the blood he figured a doctor would still be pretty handy to have as part of his crew. He'd remember to look for one along the way. Standing at his height looking down at Jinsei he saw how he reached up to his knee roughly and wasn't too surprised most people reached roughly up to his knee. If anything Gin was just worried about running into the 200 ft giants he'd once heard about. He knew of their existence but never thought they'd actually exist. As he waited for Jinsei's reply he stepped on the empty barrels crushing them into the ground easily.

Jinsei watched as all the once rebellious townsfolk began to leave, the man he punched in particular gathering what teeth of his he could find before scrambling away on his hands and knees, whimpering like a beaten dog.

He looked down to his cigar, and despite being dirty and bloodied, he set it back between his lips, taking a long, relaxing inhale. Smoke trailed from his nose as he then looked up to Gin with the cocky, arrogant smirk he's been known to flash. "Me? I can turn my body in to wood." he said in a non-chalant manner before watching the fleeing townsfolk in the distance.

"That's not important though...shit's gonna get bad real quick. We should probably get outta' here." he said, sighing as he rolled his neck. Jinsei crossed his arms as he looked up to the sky. Black clouds began to form overhead; sluggishly closing in on the island.

The bartender, visibly shaken and jaw gaping, fumbled with his Den Den Mushi and abandoned it, fleeing for his life in the other direction down the street after witnessing the town's defeat. Jinsei chuckled, shaking his head. "Though it ain't all bad. I guess those drinks were on the house."

"Like I was going to pay for these drinks."

Gin laughed. As he heard the news about Jinsei's devil fruit he nodded to him.

"So your a woodman then. Nice to know. Well I'm a giant and not many people happily get angry with one of us. Too scared of what we can do to them with our size. Your right we probably should get out of here, but I'd like to have a look at the other towns on this island. Sure some Marines may be on their way but I'm certain I can handle them. You can go though, I'll keep these guys busy if you want to go."

Gripping his rifle and holding it in his right hand Gin began to walk towards the South. He was unknowingly heading towards Tealle. He hoped he would discover a shipyard where he could get hold of a ship big enough for him.

As he walked away from the pub to the South he noticed how in the distance there was a quickly approaching squad known as the Reaper Squad speeding his way. They would most likely notice him soon too but he didn't want them too and ducked down a little.

Looking towards the town of Layke the squad noticed a black bump rising and lowering and raised their eyebrows curiously wondering what could be making such a strange shape.

Jinsei smirked, shaking his head as the Giant began to walk off.

"Like I'd let you just walk away. You got me involved...and you're gonna help me out, here." he yelled out, puffing rings of smoke through his teeth. His eyes began to glisten with a spark of smug arrogance. "The way I see it: you owe me, big guy. You were in a bit of a pickle and I helped out. Now you help me." he suggested.

He crossed his arms as he began to follow Gin. He looked back toward the roofless pub and terrified town. Something hit him...he had just helped a giant fight off an entire town after it stole several kegs of beer. This was only going to lead to bad things...but he was in too deep at this point. He threw a punch, and now he had to finish the fight. Jinsei let out a deep breath, closing his eyes nervously as he followed the massive Tequila blindly in to what could possibly be Hell.

Genshi rowed his boat over to the island's docks. Having left the previous island a few days ago, he was in no rush. Once he docked, and retreated his duffel bag of goods, he left for the town. On his way, he noticed a lot of people running away, screaming in terror. The swordsman began to run, as dark clouds gathered overhead.

He got closer to the nearest town, and was suddenly shocked when he spotted the large, furry being. It looked like a giant snow gorilla. He held a large blade in one hand a rather large gun in the other. It was walking away, and Genshi noticed the design on it's back. That was a pirate's Jolly roger! Genshi grew eager and began to shout.

"Hey, big fella. I see that thing on your back. Are you a pirate?" he shouted.

His voice must've frightened the large beast, seeing as it crouched down. Whatever it may have been that he was hiding from, he wasn't doing a good job. Then again, it wasn't easy to hide as a giant.

Hearing Jinsei speaking to him his voice rising from the grounds to his ears he heard him say to him how he'd gotten involved now and wasn't about to end this situation. He wanted in. Gin nodded to Jinsei smiling and said to him.

"Right well it'll be nice to have someone coming along with me. I'm heading toward Tealle Town. At least thats where I hope I'm heading towards. I want to see what the other towns here are like. Since this one obviously doesn't like giants and I'm going to guess Pirates too. Thats if they know about me being a pirate."

In the distance Gin heard something like a quiet voice far away and ducked down further. As he ducked down further he started walking along struggling to keep himself from falling over. He didn't want to reveal his position because he wasn't here for a fight but much more for exploration.

The Reaper squad was rushing along over the fields and as they noticed a bouncing bowler hat up and down behind the trees they knelt down waiting for the giant to arrive thinking he was attempting to sneak up on them.

With a new arrival to the island calling out to the large bumbling giant who seemed to be wearing a bowler hat. The man with the pony tail was heard by many people at the docks who were shocked to see him calling for such a dangerous creature to come for him.

Seeing this man with a blue fanel shirt white hair and black gloves a young man rushed towards him with a smooth black hair and boyish charm he placed a hand on the man's arm and looked up at him.

"Sir you shouldn't be calling out for that creature he is dangerous. But on another note may I interest you in a tour of the island? It won't take long."

As Captain Smydon sat in his office waiting for news of the fight with this giant from his reaper squad a loud crashing sound was heard following by the chandelier in his office falling from the ceiling and crashing down from it into the ground shattering upon impact followed by rising dust and the sound of something smacking down into the ground.

Coughing at the sudden shock of dust rising into his breathing space Smydon raised to his feet and pushed his chair back. Waiting for the dust to settle he approached slowly to see what had caused this and as he got closer he noticed something impaled on his chandelier. As he reached out to it and grabbed hold he lifted it up by what seemed to be a head and noticed it was a short person with a gruff look and rugged grey/white beard.

The man was dead his eyes had blood dribbling from them as well as blood dribbling from his mouth. Smydon couldn't say exactly where this man had come from but he had a pretty good idea at this moment in time. Climbing out through the hole in his office roof he found himself on the roof of the Marine Academy and attempted to figure out the trajectory. As he looked down at the man and the hole torn in the roof he removed a pair of binoculars and roughly managed to figure out due to the force to crash through the roof and position of the hole and corpse that this man had come roughly from the Layke Town area.

He smirked thinking about this and nodded.
"Giant"
He muttered to himself.

Genshi gently pushed the child aside, approaching the giant by a few steps. He looked around and noticed that the townsfolk were staring at him, probably because of his behavior towards the giant and his companion. The younger one spoke of a tour of the island, the swordsman would be able to benefit from that. If he were to be attacked by a group of some sort, he'd have the topographical edge over them. He'd meet the giant apeman later, afterall, where would he hide on this island? Genshi turned to face the child.

"Okay, I'll take your little tour, but it had better not take long.". He said, griping on of his swords.

Jinsei raised his eyebrow at the mysterious swordsman who called out to Gin, watching him as he spoke to the child. "Hrm...right then." He looked to his new-found companion. "I'm gonna be honest with you, big guy...your hiding spot sucks. I'm thinking we're probably going to have to fight our way out of this one." he said, ribbons of smoke trailing lazily from his mouth in thin winding streams.

"What exactly is it you're looking for, anyway?" he questioned, as he watched the path ahead, hoping to everything that he wouldn't find marines running down. "Do you even have a ship big enough for you to leave on? I've got a boat but...it's about the size of your body." Jinsei continued to spew out annoying questions as they surfaced in his mind. "And hey...you didn't even answer me before; if you're a pirate, where's your crew?"

He crossed his arms, rolling his neck as he looked up once again to the rolling black clouds that centered their way in over the town. A light thunder clapped around the island as the storm was well on its way to forming; trickles of rain could be felt every now and then, but it wasn't even close to a drizzle. Yet.

As all of these questions sprouted forth Gin knew his hiding spot sucked which is why he continued walking along, not actually knowing where he was going but thinking he did. As Jinsei asked what he was looking for he looked down at Jinsei and allowed the last few questions to come out. After hearing them all he grinned.

"I'm hoping to find a shipyard here, if you hadn't noticed I'm a bit big to fit on most ships here. So I'm hoping to find one I can fit on at the shipyard. Maybe they'll have one at the Marine Academy I'm assuming they have here so I'm searching for a ship really. As you said about your ship being about the size of me I don't think thats good enough for me little buddy. As for my crew, I don't have one yet but I'm looking, you could join if you want since I do need some members. But there would be one condition to that though. I would like all of my crew mates branded. To show loyalty. I'm branded. If you look at my shoulder you'll see it."

As Gin continued walking he could see the town he was head to due to his great height and smirked. Kneeling down beside Jinsei he offered him his hand and said to him.

"Here climb up and sit on my shoulders and you'll see the town we're headed to."

From the Academy's roof Smydon removed a telescope from his belt to see his Reaper Squad heading towards Layke the town he had managed to deduce the giant had been at but as he turned his view he could see how the giant was heading in another direction slowly vanishing from sight. Gritting his teeth and stamping his foot he realised that the only way to get what you wanted done was to do it yourself.

Leaping down from the roof he made a safe landing and began his journey to Siedel.

As the Reaper squad finally reached Layke Town they could see the giant's footprints heavily dug into the ground and gasped at the size of it. One of them fell in and realised how ridiculously big they were. Gulping they slowly began to realise what they were dealing with. As their leader Commander Beau was helped out of the foot print he looked to the other foot prints and pointed to them shouting.

"Follow the foot steps men! We'll find him eventually."

As the man pushed him away the boy came back to offer the man a tour again when he accepted and the small boy smiled. He nodded to the man and grabbed his hand. He led him to a rickshaw and climbed on the cycle in front. As he climbed on front he waited for the man to take a seat.

"Our first stop will be the Layke local taverns. I hope you enjoy the tour. Also if you'd like to stop off anywhere then just let me know and I can stop off for you. Also I'll let you know some information about each place too as we go around."

Jinsei took Gin's hand, being hoisted up and planted firmly on his shoulder. With fine-tuned sealegs and a good sense of balance, Jinsei stood atop his shoulder fearlessly, taking in a fresh breath of air and scenic view of the entire island.

"Putting together a crew? Hrm. Can't ever say I've aspired to be a pirate. How about we just get out of this situation first and see what happens next, eh? Let's not get ahead of ourselves." he said, tilting his head up to Gin's face as he rested his hand on his hips.

Over the past few miutes, the steady downpour of rain grew and grew, escalating to a furious downpour in his moments. Thunder boomed and echoed throughout the island, and lightning flashed in the distance. The sea swayed violently back and forth; vicious waves crashing along the docks of the towns.

Jinsei looked forward, grinding his teeth lightly on his cigar as he narrowed his eyes through the thick rain. "It seems a bit quiet around here...despite the storm. I could swear I saw some rather large marine ships when I pulled in to port. I don't like this." he muttered to himself.
