Appearance: 6 ft 1 in height. Medium length, shaggy black hair. Ripped physique. Light green, passionate eyes. In combat, he is known to wear a pitch black beanie hat which shadows his eyes and have no shirt on, with baggy cargo pants. He rarely smiles unless in combat. Out of combat, he is the prince to a Kingdom some way into the Grand Line and as such he used to wear a purple tunic and carry a royal sword but that was a long time ago...
History: Born to a world renowned pirate and a fair queen, Rohan had the world at his feet, or so he thought. His father was a feared former member of the Pirate King's crew who broke away from the crew and somehow managed to settle down and become a King. His father was a fruit user, but no one knew what his powers actually were. Some have seen him take cannon balls to the chest and torso and walk away without a scratch. His attackers put their lives on it, that they saw the cannon balls connect. As soon as that was said by some of his victims, the cannon balls would appear from behind them and strike them instead. It was a most distressing style of combat.
After Rohan was born, this plain faced, murderous pirate became a cheerful , loving father and King. He married the youthful queen of a Kingdom in the Grand Line. She wasn't just beautiful, she was so beautiful, people who passed by the Kingdom before even seeing what she looked like would dream of her. She was a Seer and a powerful one at that too. With two very powerful parents, what could happen to a young prince? Love.
When the Prince was 13 years of age, rumours flew around of the Prince's potential. This news flew all around the Grand Line. When his parents realised that pirates from all over would come for him, to either kill him or nurture him, his father had to make a painful decision. This decision was to send his son to the Pirate King himself. As soon as Rohan was at an age his father thought was responsible, he was sent on that ship.
An evening on that ship that occurred , made the Prince who he was today and he will never forget it.... (Flashback: "Oi..." The Pirate King sat in his chair as the young prince was sitting on the floor, hugging his knees to his chest. The Prince looked up. "Your father is scared... are you scared, boy...?" The Prince shook his head slowly. The Pirate King smiled. "Boy, you don't see what everyone sees, do you...?" The Prince looked to the ground. "I can tell you this, if you promise to stick by me, while on this ship... *BREATHES IN DEEP* I WILL HELP YOU FIND OUT WHY!!" The Prince welled up with tears. He got on his knees, with his face to the floor. "You will no longer be on your knees..., your a prince and you are now.... MY NAKAMA!" The Prince sat up and just cried his eyes out.)
After 2 years on the Pirate King's ship, he returned home, a young man.
When he had returned home, he was given terrible news. That pirates who came for him, murdered his father. Instead of breaking down, he just 'carried on'. He carried on his everyday life at the kingdom while crying his eyes out. When he trained, when he ate, when he slept, when he worked. Soon, the tears stopped and Rohan was given a blessing like no other. An ally to his father, had been staying at the kingdom for the past 2 years since his father's death. A giant name 'Toru'. Toru was powerful, fearless and intelligent. He sorted out the Kingdom's stresses while Rohan's family could grieve. He was a good man.
Toru had a daughter, her name was Kira, but she wasn't a giant. When she was a baby, she had a huge appetite and usually ate everything in sight. So Toru left her on a small island for a week in the hope she would slow down her eating. When Toru arrived back at the island he was shocked. His daughter had become the size of a human baby and the island had hardly anything on it. As the baby came of age, she was taller then most of her friends and peers, she was stronger and quite athletic. By the time she was 17, she was 6 ft 2, she was a powerful warrior. She still seemed to posses giant-like strength even though she was a little taller than the average human man. The theory was, she ate a Devil Fruit. One that caused her growth to stunt but her giant powers to remain.
Rohan came into contact with this girl when she caught him training. He was quite the fighter. His fists moved so fast and when he hit something, it had the impact of being hit by a cannon ball or a large object of terrifying mass. Kira didn't want to admit it, but she was definitely intrigued by him, even though Rohan was a Royal and she grew up with a hatred towards them. For Rohan, Kira was love at first sight for him. Her tanned skin, Light blonde hair, Big blue eyes and her feint smile. Rohan fought day and night to make her his, but she refused, week in week out. She would usually attack him or chase him away. Eventually when all hope seemed lost on his efforts, fate , intervened.
While Kira was out roaming the fields of the Kingdom, she was abducted by a hoard of bandits called 'Diabolos Methistos'. They were a feared bunch with terrifying assassins, trained hunters and masters of sabotage. When word got out about Kira's abduction, Rohan said nothing. He stood up from his seat next to his mothers and the make shift seat for Toru. He looked down so his eyes were shadowed. He had a vacant expression. He put on a present from one of his peers of the Gold Roger, a pitch black beanie hat. He then took of his tunic, his jewellery , His cape. Leaving his torso showing. He then took off his steel leg guards , showing baggy cargo pants. His mother gasped in horror at the image that was on his back. The mark of the Pirate King. Rohan didn't devise a plan, he knew they were still on the Isle and chased forward in a blind rage. Not caring who was in his way.
When he arrived at the bandit's camp, he was furious. He didn't fight like expected though. When the bandit's launched for him, he beat them in small hand and leg movements. When it came to fight the leader , Rohan wasted no time as he looked at Kira trapped in a large cage. She was terrified. She kept murmuring to Rohan "Turn back...turn back..." It was obvious that this opponent was formidable. The leader launched for Rohan and he didn't move until the last second. Then he clapped his hands together, really hard , catching the leader's head in between, Rohan yelled "HEAVEN'S BELL!!!". The leader had blurry vision and his hearing became a little impaired. Rohan then began to throw hundreds of punches and kicks yelling "RAMPANT BRONCO!!!"
The leader soared into the air and Rohan charged after him with a great leap off the ground in a leap frog action. He kicked the leader down with the bottom of his heel and he smashed into ground. Before the leader could utter out a word, Rohan performed his next technique. He fell from the sky, head first towards the leader. He then yelled "MAMMOTH SMASH!!!" He then crashed into the leader's gut, causing a massive dust explosion, making a large and causing the ground to shake.
Rohan rose to his feet from the dust cloud. He waddled over to Kira's cage and then kicked the roof of it off with a mighty toe kick. Rohan then fell backwards, he was exhausted. Kira walked over to him. "Are you Okay-..." He kissed her as she lowered to grab his hand. She then punched him in the face and yelled "ONCE AN IDIOT, ALWAYS AN IDIOT!" Rohan stayed silent with a bloody mouth. He then yelled "MARRY ME KIRA!!!! AND I WILL SPEND MY LIFE TRYING TO MAKE YOU HAPPY!!!!!" Kira turned round with a shocked face and she welled up with tears.
A month later... They married.
They were happily married for 1 year, 10 months. As Rohan turned 19, he had a lot of responsibility, Kira was now expecting their first child and The Pirate King was executed, leaving the remnants of his crew in disarray.
Rohan knew what he had to do. He had to help 'that man' who he changed his life. By saving the lives of those who travelled with him, trained him, ate with him, laughed with him... They were like a family to him. How he could he do nothing? Rohan said "Goodbye" to his wife and unborn child and setted off on a journey across the Grand Line to find his former crew mates, but there was no luck. He was too late for all worst case scenarios. They were either dead, arrested to be killed or missing. Rohan was given one glimmer of hope. One of the members of the crew was last seen on an island in the middle of the Grand Line. He didn't know if he was still there, but it was a lead, so he went.
There he was too late once again. He arrived in the presence of a Marine Admiral. The pirate was being held by his throat and off the ground. Stunned and filled with blind rage, Rohan launched for this Marine and tarnished his Kingdom's name. The admiral proved a powerful match for him, he didn't try to kill Rohan because that would be too messy for his superiors but then he saw Rohan's tunic burn away from the heat of his ability. Rohan remembered these last words before being swarmed in an endless pool of lava. "...Where is your hero now....?" When Rohan awoke he was in a small cot like bed in a boring , white room. He looked to his left to see a man with a dark green cloak on him standing by the window. "Who are you...? Where am I...?" murmured the dazed Prince. "...I picked you up. You were no match for that Marine. Yet you still fought. Your just like the former King..." Rohan sat up. "Who are you...?" The person turned his head slightly. "My name is not important at this time... we have a lot to talk about... but first. You may want to keep calm, for the news I am to share with you is most distressing..." Rohan didn't feel right in his gut, something has happened.
"After I picked you up from your battle..., my men saw the marines hand a locket to the superior, the man you fought with... " Rohan didn't like where this was going. "My...Locket-.." That locked had a picture of his pregnant wife and mother in it. "An island off the coast of the Kingdom burst into flames and a pool of lava surrounded it's coasts..." Rohan's eyes filled with tears and he shut his eyes. "What were the co-ordinates of this island...?" "24, 120, 0." Rohan froze. "When my men arrived at the island ..., they found the remnants of a small beach house and in it was a beheaded molten statue of your wife...." Rohan shed tears. "No..." "Your mother is in a severe coma..., scouts say she fought off the onslaught of the abomination that is the world government and all that was left , a burned message on your mother's body and on the beach house.... 'Where's your hero now...?'" Rohan held his head in his hands. "ARGHHHH!!!!!!!" He yelled loudly, letting everyone know his frustration. "...Rohan..., I have been watching you since your birth..., your not strong enough to take on the Marines... but with my help...you will be. Join us and become a revolutionary...!" Those were the last words Rohan Royce heard before he died.
R.Royce the revolutionary was born.
Personality: Rohan may seem cold at times, but he is very understanding and always critically evaluates a situation before diving in. Since he became one of the Revolution's main members, his confidence has upped and his fighting style has become less aggressive. He likes company of all kinds, people with history , like he does. Even if he doesn't speak while in those people's prescences, you know that he is happy and content to stay there. He's had a hard life which has left him with a small dark side, so when pushed his quiet, reserved character transforms into a dark entity of hate, guilt and self pity.
Ship: The Distortion. A small ship, no bigger than a dingy. Rohan travelled in this so he didn't attract lots of attention, but his flag seemed to...
Ship Flag: A piercing white flag, with the marine's symbol. It has a sentence, painted in blood, saying "The hero is here" in his people's Ancient language.
Devil Fruit: As far as we know Rohan has not inherited any of his father's fruit powers nor has he ingested a Devil Fruit.
Special Abilities:
-Bare Knuckle Kempo - A brutal style developed by the Prince over the years where with every technique , he gains momentum at the cost of sharp body pains every so often. The pain gives the user a tolerance after some time allowing them massive endurance.
- High speed - Gifted with great attack speed and a rapid charge.
-Great power - Naturally strong and his practised techniques have amplified it.
Learned Techniques:
1. Heaven's Bell -The user claps their hands together , rapidly and hard. This activates as a counter to charging enemies in the hope it will capture their heads in it. Making them dazed, partially blind and a trouble hearing.
2. Rampant Bronco - One of Rohan's "Bread and Butter" moves. The user violently launches at the opponent throwing rapid, in swinging punches and blurring kicks.
3. Mammoth Smash - One of Rohan's finishing moves. The user will launch from the sky at blinding speed, head first at a dazed or grounded enemy. The impact of the smash will cause a dust explosion, a crater and some ground movement.
4. Primal Impact - Primal Impact is where the user will go from standing normally, then lean back as far as possible. The user will have a fist clenched on one arm near the floor while the other reaches up high.Then the user will violently fly up from their leaning position and the force created from their movement as they punch their opponent on the top of their head, will cause a small crater underneath their opponent and cause them to lose the feeling in their legs.
5. Merry Barbarian - The user will get into position as if holding a really heavy axe or mace. They will then begin to spin. They will gain a decent speed and then launch for their enemies. This will have such force that it will be hard to stop the user's momentum with a simple block. This technique has broken through shields, doors, walls, etc.
6. Dragon Indigestion - This is also a finisher. The user will wind the opponent in the gut, throw them in the air then cough up a fiery projectile from their throat at them.
7. Fiery Warm Up - The user will baffle the opponent with hundreds of warm punches like a boxer that will only be to the air and not aimed at anyone. Then when the user manages to make contact with a punch while yelling this technique the heat gathered from that build up will cause serious burns on the opponent.
8. Canine Warning - The user will use this during a momentum attack. The user will send the opponent in the air, they will clench their fists together like paws, tuck in the their knees and then kick the opponent with the extending feet and claw outwards with the fists being paw like. This will be rapid , so the opponent won't fly anywhere they will just take the mass amount of hits until the user stops or changes moves.
9. Leap Frog Smash - The user will get into a position like a frog, only, they will be on their knuckles instead of their hands. They will then hop with really wide and exaggerated but somehow rapid movements and then end up above the opponent , balancing on their shoulders. The user will then jump down to the opponents behind, leaving them prone. The user would have not let go of the opponent the whole time and ended up with a backwards full nelson, to eventually slamming them over his head, head first into the ground.
10. Mule Kick - The user will use this in a feint combo. They will pretend they have been struck , so when an opponent charges after their falling body, the user will land on one hand and balance. Then change hands and spiral causing the user to catch the opponent in the gut with a massive two footed kick.
11. Cornered Cat - The user will throw a rapid claw like strike in a counter effort , almost like a sucker punch.
12. Cool Off - The user will emit a huge gas cloud which will become a mist, this is due to the heat of the battle and the user will need to cool down to not overheat. This actually allows the users speeds to up each time it is used.
13. Flying saucer - The user jumps in the air and begins alternating kicks in the air, by spinning, almost like a flying saucer moving. The user uses this in combos and will usually finish this by making the next alternated kick harder to cause knock back.
14. Bare Knucles Barrage - The user will catch the opponent off guard, appear by their torso and then wail on their stomach with an endless amount of hard, accurate fists. The user could continue the momentum until they were through their target!
15. Heartless Fist - Forbidden - Rohan used this technique as a quick finisher on a marine captain who assisted the man who put his mother in a coma. He walked over to this man, appeared a couple seconds later on one knee, with the opponent curling over his fist, their bones shattered around it and they lost tanks of blood.
16. Shadow Boxing - This is Rohan's best combo. The user will hit a hard left jab, a fierce right hook, grab the opponent around their head, knee them 6 times with each knee then step back with a little shuffle. Then throw a massive toe kick from the ground , diagonally up at the opponent's head, sending them flying to the left or right.
17. Gorilla Toy - The user will get on their knuckles and be completely focused. The opponent will be silly to approach the user in this position. The user would use one of their arms to sweep the opponent's legs. It will be with such force that they opponent would fly head first as the were swept into the ground. The user will shuffle on their knuckles and circle the opponent for some time, then hit the opponent when they raise from the ground with a rising side fist, resembling the movements of a gorilla or large beast.
Weapons/Items: He fights with bare knuckles and has never required a weapon.
Goals: To change the world and to kill the man who took away his life.
