Serious: The Greatest goal, one last obstacle before the new world In Alabasta ((ENd and Closed))

Izlend looked at Maxulus and listened to him as he spoke. He had seen first hand that the marines were corrupt and controlled like dogs by the world government. The man's words made a lot of sense, and he had thought about this before. Many times before, in fact. This wasn't something new, he had heard of marines becoming to dangerous that had to be eliminated. Izlend was sure that Maxulus was one of them as he spoke of what he had done in the past. "Hmm, I see your point." Izlend said holding the bottom of his chin.

However, Izlend also knew that the marines did do a lot of good also. Look at the current situation, the marines are protecting an entire country. If Anubis took over, a lot of innocent people would get hurt and even die. Not only would Izlend be joining someone he knew for a fact was worse than the marines by far, but also he wouldn't be able to change the world government for the better by joining Anubis or Maxulus. Izlend wasn't 100% sure he was doing the right thing, but he spoke to Maxulus; giving him his answer.

"Sorry, but I plan to change the world government for the better. One day I will be admiral and they'll have to listen to me. Hell maybe you're right. They may try to betray me; and even try to kill me. However by then I will be powerful enough to change there mind. So count on me, I will be admiral, and I will change the world!" Izlend exclaimed to the commander.

Izlend held up his rifle with his left hand; pointing it at Maxulus. With his right, Izlend held the hilt of his saber ready to pull it out for a quick slash or block. "Now as you did for me, I offer you one chance. A chance for you to come in quietly. As a future admiral, I have to start somewhere and letting you get away wont help. I don't want to fight you, little lone hurt you, so just give up." Izlend said as his blue eyes gleamed in the sun.

While staying with Mashidi Ashley Saw Maxulus enter the shoreline attacking the royal guards and Izlend. As She used

"Duel shot!" Shooting two paralyzing metal poison arrows at Maxulus Attempting to drastically slow down his movements.

"Surrender now Pirate or I cannot promise you a clean death!" Ashley was more serious then shes ever been.

"I see..." Maxulus said as he listened to the words of the young marine. "You are a quite ambitious guy... You are fighting for your dreams and you are trying to achieve them... However, in the Grand Line, you have to know that any people with dreams end up having their goals changed... And that is not my opinion... It is a fact." Maxulus completed as he swiftly moved his body at the right and at the left, dodging instantly the two arrows of Ashley while saying "Too slow. Marines of your ranking are unable to harm me... Listen... I shall give you another option... You know, I can simply use one of my wide radius attacks to wipe out the marines at the shore, unless you simply surrender to the Anubis Pirates. So, what do you say? Do you agree with my proposition?". Maxulus showed some arrogance here by believing that he could wipe out the marines at the shore with a technique of his... But what if he really meant it?

Leon then saw an attack zooming towards Anbuis from a far. He then took his hand. Opened up his palm, and swung his left arm in a crescent movement. Leon then sent a crescent moon blast of air towards the attackers arrows. Causing them to be sliced in half. Leon then fell towards the floor and ran towards the attacker at a blinding speed. Thus, he placed his sword right up under her thin.

"..Move and this will be the last battle field you see..."

[[Anubis and Grim death]]

Anubis grinned as he saw Derge shoot at him. "Hold on, this is going to be a turbulent ride!!!!!" Anubis then held both his palm together, sables was forming on his hands and around and they grew bigger, the sand tornado formed even more stronger and then Anubis clasped his hands together "SABLES PARTY!!!!!!" As he clasped everything lung into the air, a incredibly powerful tornado had formed sending everyone who weighed as much as humans can weigh hurling around the area. Anubis included. The giants would not be affected by this attack but the ship was also flung into the air. Everyone from the sea area to the shoreline would be affected.

[[Tanith and Lucas]]

Tanith was blocked by Mail, she growled "Get out of my way Marine filth, or i smash you into grinded liver" She swung her giant hammer , aiming to crush Mail. She felt the sand tornado blowing everything away and was flung into the air before she could hammer Mail down.

[[Lucas vs Ferdinand]]

Lucas stood facing Ferdinand "The old me would have done that..... but now..... WAX FIST!!!!!" He sent a fist made of wax aimed at Ferdinand, but then felt blown away, it was the sand, it had swept him into the air.

[[Shoreline]]
The battle was not moving in favor of anyone, but everyone at shore could see the giant tornado created by Anubis, it had swept everyone on the ice into a vortex, flinging in the air.

Darnel
Darnel was pulled into the air by the sand tornado that anubis sent in the air "What the hell?!!!" Darnel turned into his hybrid form. He used his tail to try to grab Manus's right leg to pull him in the air with him. Darnel's uniform began slowly ripping apart as he swung in the vortex. He couldn't see anything......


Conrad
The giant saw the vice admiral try to attack him though he was shocked how fast gideon got close to him. Conrad roared at Gideon using his breath to hopefully push him back. Then use balled his fist together to pound Gideon unto the ground afterwards if the attack hit. He follows his attack with a stomp on the ground to end the marine's life if the second attack hit.

Gideon, soaring towards into the ground. Stood up and brushed him self off, The Giant was most defiantly strong. He saw the Giants foot attempting to crush him, this was the Giant's first mistake.

"..Naive Pirate.."

Gideon was then caught inside a huge sandstorm tornado. Thus, he went spinning around in the vortex.

"Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.."

In the Middle of The Alabasta Desert

Spencer walked with his jacket wrapped over his head and only a black t-shirt on. He was so hungry he could feel his stomach eating away at it self. He attempted to drink his own sweat, but his tongue was completely dry. Or so it felt. Spencer threw his arms in the air.

"WHY MUST YOU TORTURE US! WHY!!"

Soldier #1: "Captain please re-frame from showing such shameful behavior!"

Steven, being a Cyborg. Wasn't affected at all by the heat really. He just wanted to get to the Pirates secret base and get this over with. He was tired of seeing the Pirates run ramped. This would really give the Pirate Power a kick in the groin, he thought. Steven then scanned the area and noticed a settlement not far from where they were. It was about 1 mile away. It had fruit's, vegetables, and even some beverages. Soon after Spencer noticed the place, but knowing Steven. He wouldn't let him go.

All Soldiers: "WE MUST GO!!"

Steven: "No! Are Mission is to get to find any Pirate reinforcements and get back to Payne as soon as possible! Do you all have any since of duty!?"

All Soldiers:"We...We..."

Just as Steven was yelling at them. Every single one of their stomachs growled.

All Soldiers: "WE ARE SORRY CAPTAIN STEVEN!!"

Before Steven could notice, All 50 soldiers had made their way to the settlement. They were all feasting on the fruits and vegetables.

Steven:"YOU MORONS! YOU SHOULD ALL BE IMPRISONED FOR SUCH SHAMELESS ACTS! Can you believe them Spenc-.."

Spencer was then seen running at full speed towards the settlement with his arms in the air and his tongue hanging out his mouth.

Spencer:"Sorry Steve-O Majority Rules!"

Steven:"I'm surrounded by idiots.."

By the time Spencer had gotten there, everything had been eaten. It looked as if a riot had recently hit. All the men had fat belly's. Spencer looked high and low for something to eat. When he came across one fruit that had a brown, tan like coating around it. It had a weird design on it. Something told Spencer not to eat it. But his stomach said other wise. Almost instantly Spencer had devoured the terrible tasting fruit. He then ordered all his men to head back to Steven and they did just so. Thus, they continued on their mission.

Near Payne, who is currently on his way to Alurbana with his back up.

Payne was completely unaffected by the intense heat of the country. Due to his Mera Mera powers. He walked with his long black VA coat blowing with the sourcing hot winds of hell. His white hair drenched with the sand that was blown into it by the wind. He knew his men were suffering so he'd have to hurry and get them to safe cool conditions.

Before catching up with Mashidi Ashley frowned frowned seeing maxulus doge his attack.

Aiming with expert marksman ship Ashley used
"Spiral down!" Shooting 50 spiral Hollow arrows towards Maxulus she intended to drill him full of holes.

After quickly fireing 50 arrows at Maxuls Ashley continued after the Prince wqith a mad dash.

Nakamaru saw there wasn't any action near to their ship so he sheated his sword. Nakamaru jumped down from the crows nest and looked around. He saw the cannons and he had a great idea. He drawed his sword aggain and started spinning it until he felt very strong wind. he put a cannon ball in the cannon and opened the back side of it. He pushed all of the wind into the round tube of the cannon fireing the ball into Grim Death. He did so with 5 cannons.

FERDINARD (FROZEN SEA AREA)

As Lucas approached him and started the battle, he launched a fist of wax towards him. However, Ferdinard could not be compared with other marines of his rank. With swift maneuvers, the marine captain used his Shockwave Rush technique while on the air to launch his signature shockwave and repel himself out of the way of the wax attack, before it could hit him. Then, he swiftly moved his right hand forward and he said "Shockwave!" as he launched a ball of compressed air from his palm towards Lucas. However, before the ball could reach him, the sandstorm that was created by Anubis sucked the ball inside it and along with it, before Ferdinard could run out of the attack's range, Ferdinard himself. Ferdinard was inside the sandstorm of the Yonko, just like Lucas was. While he got in the sandstorm, something unexpected happened. Unlike what most people would expect, Ferdinard would still laugh like a maniac. His laughter could be heard from inside the sandstorm "FAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"

MAXULUS (SHORE)

Seeing Ashley launching her barrage of arrows, Maxulus swiftly moved his body at the right and at the left, dodging the arrows with grace and quite ease before they could hit him and pierce through his body. However, as Ashley seemed to not be stopping with her attacks, Maxulus realized that he should go with a powerful technique to stop her before she would not do anything more. He would use his strongest wide radius technique that was originally causing him much damage and he rarely used to use before he found out a way to avoid its aftermath. Without hesitation, as he noticed that even Anubis had started going with one of his mightiest techniques, Maxulus summoned his Multribrella and his clones back at himself. Then, he said "Umbrellaman - Gun Mode!" as he merged with the three multibrellas that were in the "gun" mode, acting like a gun. When he was done with that, he had gained the ability to shoot bullets from his body, just like his Multribrellas. However, he was not done yet. As soon as he did it, he swiftly made himself slightly levitate upwards. By consuming most of the bullets that he gained inside his body by the fusion, Maxulus said "Umbrella Gun Mode - Explosion!". Seconds afterwards, as the arrows were coming towards him an explosion started coming out of his body, with very great range. The explosion was stopping the arrows from moving and it had extremely destructive power. That was the attack that Maxulus used with the danger of giving his own life in Enies Lobby when he destroyed a big part of the tower of justice. The attack was making him suffer twice the damage that he would normally cause. This time, though, now that Maxulus had updated his weapon completely, he did something last. As the explosion started and began hitting his body from the inside as well, he used his Umbrellaman Absorb Mode, to merge himself with the Multibrellas of the Impact Dial mode, absorbing the damage that was being done to himself. With this combination, Maxulus not only launched a technique that had great destructive force, but also he absorbed damage to power up his movements dramatically, strengthening himself by multiple times. Ashley and Izlend not only had to escape from the explosion, but also they would have to escape from the fully charged Maxulus of the "Absorb Mode".

Glancing back to see the explosion she her eyes opened widely.
"Izlend Run!!!" Ashley used

"Soru" as fast as her leg's could carry her. Moving an additional 40 feet away she was able to escape the blast radius of Maxuls's attack. And catch up with the prince who was already far out of the blast radius.
Gasping for air she rested a moment then used soru again to continue to follow the prince

Manus was lifted into the air by the massive vortex created by Anubis, grinning all the while. They were on his turf now... he was one of the few people who actually fought in the air. He kicked off the air, the force of his strike countering the velocity of the sand pushing him into the air. He got under Darnel, which was easy because when Darnel's tail grabbed his leg, the seastone in his boot disabled Darnel's powers. He then kicked again, launching himself back up into the air at Darnel, performing a spinning kick that he dubbed 'Eaglet's Rising'. If Darnel didn't have the ability to escape, Manus' boot would deal a lot of damage to Darnel's spine.

Hibiki was happy that Conrad was ready to battle again. he was prepared for anything and he occasionally sent buzzes of sound that exploded in front of marines that were in land to push them back. Suddenly he saw that Anubis sent a tornado of sand, Hibiki let himself be taken by it and was lifted into the skies. It was really awesome to look at the island and sea from above, but there were lots of people that were lifted into the air, not only him and the ones around. The view could be extremely confusing for someone that had been asleep and had been lifted suddenly, luckily that wasnt Hibiki's position.

Rem and Ron were flying as well and were pushed by the tornado to and area near Hibiki.

"Guys let's stay together, we are not going to fall down as long as Anubis-sama can mantain us flying... even if he's sick, his strenght and skill is incredible."

His crewmates nodded.

[[Anubis]]

As Anubis was in the air along with mostly everyone else. He suddenly held his palm out "SHANGRI LA" IN the middle of the sky anubis was met by a landing of sand, which grew and grew, the sand from the ground collected in the sky and formed into a structure. A giant city made of sand was forming in the sky floating, the walls and areas were forming and becoming dense. Anubis in the centre of this city didnt move. The sand city and the maze was complete as Anubis stood steady.

[[Tanith and Lucas]]
Both tanith and Lucas found themselves in the city, beside Anubis, Tanith let out a sigh of relief "That was close....." Lucas grunted as he stood up "This is amazing, even with my control, i couldnt make a entire city out of wax.........."

[[In Nanohana]]
Morbius spoke into his den den mushi "all Cp9 members report in, whats your status?"

Spencer was looking around after the sudden change of terrain. This was the work of a Devil Fruit for sure. Spencer looked around and saw only 15 of the 50 soldiers who were following him behind him but consealed in a maze. Spencer placed his hand on the wall and felt it. It was sand, it was defiently the work of Anbuis. Spencer then held up a yellow Den Den Mushi and called over to Steven who was also. No where to be found.

Somewhere else in the maze

Steven along with the rest of the soldiers, we're in a very similar looking area of this unknown area. Steven automaticlly knew this was the work of Anbuis. So he didn't let his guard down. Steven clicked his ear and listened to the incoming call coming from.

Steven:"Where are you?"

Spencer:"If I knew I wouldn't be calling you now would I? It seems Anbuis has some plan for the opposing team. This is exactly what Payne wanted us to report. I'll call him..see if you can find away out this sand prison before Anbuis finds us.."

Spencer then hung up on Steven and heard the Den Den Ring almost instantly.

Spencer:"Steven didn't we just speak?"

Payne:"Why would you call Steven before me with something like this happening. I can see the creation from Alrubana..it's very enormous. And air born..your going to have to find away out your self. I'm going to be busy setting up defenses at the Palace once I find Mashidi..so called the head of the Royal Guards. You completed your mission..your new mission is to find out how to get out that contraption..call me the moment you find out. Payne over and out.."

Payne hung up. Spencer then phoned Steven again

Steven:"God your like my mother...WHAT?!"

Spender:"Payne says to find out how to exit the sand base..over and out.."

Steven:"No Duh Genius.."

Both Spencer and Stecen hung up and began looking for a way out.

In Alrubana

Payne and his 50 men walked orderly with Payne Leading towards the palace. Payne noticed as he marched many innocent children and family's living in the city around the palace. There houses were very run down and didn't look very sturdy. Some had roofless houses due to violent sandstorms. Others looked dry and run down from just being old. It was truly a was site

FERDINARD (SAND FORTRESS)

As the sandstorm that grabbed Ferdinard stopped, Ferdinard was surprised to see where he ended up after it ended. Apparently, the sandstorm moved him towards a creation of sand that was staying on the sky. A city of sand was around him and it seemed to be quite dense. Ferdinard was pretty sure that this was the result of Anubis and he also started coming to the conclusion that creating this would drain much of his strength. However, there was nothing he could do at that time, as he had to take on Lucas, just like Darnel commanded him. Apparently, he had just lost him because of the sandstorm and so he would have to search for him again. And so, just like before, pretty confident for his own strength, Ferdinard said "Lucas... Where are you? Fahahahahahahahaha!". Ferdinard was searching for his enemy.

MAXULUS (SHORE)

As soon as he was done with the explosion, Maxulus noticed that Ashley and Izlend had escaped, although many of the soldiers that were around were lying unconscious on the ground because they got hit from the explosion. They were probably following Mashidi... The events that were going on were getting more and more intense... As soon as he looked at the many injured soldiers that his explosion left, Maxulus turned towards the ship, only to find out the a city of sand was created in the sky. Maxulus knew that this was Anubis doing... His captain was really magnificent... He managed to do something spectacular. Who knew who was trapped inside the levitating city of sand... However, he did not want to get there at all. He knew that he would be of no use there, as all of the enemies were in Anubis' area, they were at his own mercy. Instead, with his body having fully absorbed the damage that the explosion would normally cause him, that was twice the damage it caused to the area around, he laughed before he simply waited to the sky in order to see what was going to happen...

ARABASTA SOLDIER (ON THE WAY TO ALUBARNA)

As the army of Mashidi along with Izlend and Ashley was moving towards Alubarna, the scared soldier who was running behind Mashidi started talking out of a sudden, without a real reason to speak. He said "Mashidi-sama... When shall we arrive to Alubarna? I can't wait... I can't really wait...".

Hearing the warning and seeing the powerful pirate prepare an attack, Izlend turned around. As if it was in slow motion the boy spun out on the sand. Sand spit up from under his feet with each stride forward as he moved away from Maxulus. Izlend used his track-star like speed to it's fullest; he ran faster than he he had ever ran before. Nothing but the explosion was on his mind; not the heat or even the soft desert. Glancing back he could see the explosion coming, it was so fast that he couldn't escape. Knowing he couldn't escape, Izlend dove into the sand and buried himself as deep as he could before the fiery shockwave could hit. The massive blast blew the skinny boy back a ways: he skidded in the sand a bit before coming to a stop.

Izlend looked up to see he was actually still alive. He could only chuckle as he looked around at everything. The sand was scorched were he had been standing previously. Standing up, Izlend patted himself down, removing some of the dust that clung to his white marine uniform. He noticed his muscles were bulging and his body shacking from all of the adrenaline and excitement.

The boy's heavy breathing soon turned into a smug grin that was aimed at Maxulus. Izlend knew of the weapon Maxulus was using. He didn't remember how he knew about the dial, but he did. He knew it was a seashell from Skypiea that took in energy from an impact. With this, Izlend knew too well that the weaponry he carried would be useless if used conventionally. With a massive sand tornado and a floating sand city in the background; Izlend had to hold off Maxulus as long as possible while the others took on the heads. Izlend charged at the fully charged Maxulus. Aiming his rifle, the young man shot at Maxulus again. He didn't expect the shot to hit this time either. Izlend was more interested in getting in close to the powerhouse of a man. Closing the distance, Izlend went in for what looked like an unguarded sword sweep. The horizontal sweep was coming in from the right and aimed for Maxulus' midsection. As Izlend came in for the attack he dug his right foot into the sand, which only served to slow him and his attack down. Why would the boy dig in when attacking?

[Derge Sr.]

With geppou and a powerful set of leg's, Derge Sr. was able to easily keep in control. This was despite the power of Anubis' sand tornado attack. Seeing the massive city just form out of sand nearly instantly, amazed Derge Sr.. How could a man in his condition form something so grand, without effort. It would seem impossible to any normal person; however Derge Sr. wasn't a normal person. An entire city of sand in the desert, wasn't as impressive as it would have been anywhere else. Still Derge Sr. had to respect the man; he was truly deserving of the title Emperor of the Seas. Entering the city, Derge Sr. figured Anubis was most likely in the center. It would be to hard to control a floating city of sand from another point. Derge Sr. wasn't sure how much control Anubis had over the city of sand, or how much strain it would put on his already frail body. Still, the Vice Admiral needed to keep up his guard

Tapping on the walls of sand, Derge Sr. determined the walls were of a high density. The sand was compacted till it felt like it was nearly as hard as stone. Even so, this wasn't something that was going to stop the mighty Vice Admiral. With a solid punch the man broke down the wall in front of him. However nearly instantly the wall reformed into what it had been previously. This gave Derge Sr. a few options of what he could do. He could take a straight path, knocking down walls and leaping through before it reformed. Or he could play Anubis' little game. The second path would probably be the quickest thanks to Derge Sr.'s advance level of speed. So with that the man took of speeding through the maze. Making quick time the man ran from hall to hall eliminating any dead ends that came across his path.

"Can't this thing go any faster? I wonder if it's the sudden cold air that has changed the pace," Barius commented glumly as he was now steering the small vessel since Delia was better at looking out for unexpected surprises. The silence he got from his captain though gave him a pretty good message and just sighed as he kept on steering.

Delia had heard him but was deep in thought, wondering what she would do when she met with Anubis again. She thought back when they last met on the island, and blushed slightly when the kiss was brought up. Yeah, it was just a kiss on the cheek but...

Tha captain just shook her head of those thoughts and concentrated on looking out, frowning slightly as she felt uneasy all of a sudden. "Barius, change the course a bit," she said. Right after saying it though she noticed someone coming closer to their dinghy, her hands bristling with cold air and ice as she stood up.

Gleaming pools of unadulterated emerald faintly illuminate the dusky depths of a wall's dark shadow, cast by the dramatic re-angling of the city relative to the angle of the sun. The serpentine glow calms slightly as a lithe figure fully embodies the shadow before reluctantly stepping free of its borders.
She lifts her head to catch a faint breeze, a gentle smirk of amusement tugging at the corner of her lips as she catches a beloved scent she will never forget so long as she breathes. A slight shiver passes over her frame as her target comes within he sight; it is the same pleasant shiver she always feels upon seeing this creature.
She lifts her cloak away from her face, unfastening it as she approaches, allowing it to tumble without care to the sandy ground and revealing the precious cargo strapped to her back. Slowly and carefully she unfastens the scabbard from the sword belt. The scabbard was a new one- black, cold and understated with a slight metallic sheen.
She stops behind him, with her usual disregard for his personal space, her lips almost touching the back of his neck as she murmurs.
"I am returned, corazón-...ah Anubis-sama."
She takes a moment to steal a glance down to back of his garment to obtain today's color for her own amusement before turning her attention back to her task. She takes a step away as she holds the scabbard out to him, pulling the blade out just slightly so that she may observe the modifications the the blade which placed a bizarre green gleam under the crimson, embedded droplets of its maker's blood. Already she could feel the blade pushing her away and it took quite some effort to try to calm it as the violent energy called to its master.
"My apologies that this simple task has taken so long. It seems that your swordsman's pet blacksmith had retrieved your blade for a modification regarding a substance that your swordsman refused to tell me of. Also this scabbard was fastened so that the leaking energy of the blades bizarre properties cannot be detected."
As she always did, she pulled her fair hair away from her neck, bowing her head slightly. She saw her lack of punctuality as a dimension of failure despite the situation being somewhat out of her hands. He had only but to take the blade to take her head if her failure was fitting for such a punishment. A serpentine glow flickered to her eyes suddenly.
"Someone approaches, my lord."

Conrad
Conrad lifted up his foot to see that Gideon wasn't sqaushed beneth his foot "How is this possible? Could he have simply dodged my attack?" Conrad shrugged walked toward the shore. The royal army was retreating. The beachshores was theirs, expect the giant saw a marine ship, the hooded justice, the famed ship of Darnel. Conrad ran toward the ship hoping to stomp it into the ground.


Darnel
Darnel flew out of the vortex into a building of anubis's sand fortress. He fell down on top of a rooftop after getting slammed unto a building plus the asskicking Manus gave him from the air. His back was killing him, and his head was bleeding. Darnel realized that Manus's shoes must be containing seastone which would cancel out his powers. He was facing a very dangerous opponent. Darnel would have to fight him without resorting to not using his devil fruit powers. This was going to be a difficult battle. Darnel wondered where Manus was. Was he close by? Did he survive? Where the hell were they? Darnel looked around his surrounding. It seemed that he was on....a entire city made out of sand!!!!

Maria
Sister Maria kept using Geppo getting closer and closer to Clearwater and her friend. It was far too late to turn back now, and plus her den den mushi probably gave her position away. She whispered "Maria reporting in. I'm about to attack Captain Clearwater in attempt to use a leaverage against Anubis. She is known lover of anubis and he will do anything for her." Maria saw that Clear noticed her. She flipped in the middle of the air kicked herself into the river. Once under water, Maria used geppo to kick her against the current of the river. She lifted her scythe aiming toward their boat. Maria hoped that she could cut the boat from the bottom in hopes of sinking both Clear and Barius.

'So much for no one noticing us,' the captain thought as she quickly jumped out of the boat, freezing the water she had stepped on before going under water. Her first in command barely made it out of the small vessel just as it was cut right down the middle by the assailant's scythe, dusting himself off and adjusting his hat as he stood up again.

"You have fancy footwork, but that isn't going to work with me," she called out to the other girl, the ice gauntlets she now favored forming over her hands and arms as well as the coverings for her legs. "You try to get to the other side and I'll hold her off while making you a path," she whispered softly to Barius as she took a guarded position.

The other just nodded as he left his sword in its sheath, waiting as the ice grew more and spread farther.

Anubis grinned as he felt Desirees breath behind him. Her entrance was the best news he had heard all day. He was seriously handicapped thanks to this technique and now needed to deal with the marines who had found a way into this citys maze. Anubis felt his sword with his only good hand "Very nice.... i will forgive your timing my loyal Desiree... as well as your attempt to undress me with your eyes, right now we have far more important things to deal with my dear... ahh, yes, the enemy is a vice admiral in the maze, we got a few marines to deal with.... you will need to intercept and hold him off for me...." Anubis needed a grasp of how many were here and how many he needed to counter, he recognised the person who had entered, thanks to his link with the city, Derge and Darnel was here. This was going to be a mess, "Be careful Desiree, he is very powerful and difficult..... Tanith and Lucas, the two of you will also need to follow" Both Tanith and Lucas who was nearby was shocked when Desiree appeared but decided not to let it affect them, Lucas heard shouting earlier, it sounded like his name, he needed to deal with this "ummm, ill go ahead Anubis sama," Lucas ran into the maze to look for the shouting of his name. Tanith sat still "Ill stay here, beside you Anubis sama......" Anubis shook his head "No child, you must help in the battle below......" Anubis made a back hole into the wall. "The sand transport will bring you down to the battle field.... you have other work to handle Tanith....."

The soldiers on the shoreline were overwhlemed. Some by the sheer force the pirates were showing here , the others were shocked at the creation of a giant citadel in the sky. The brave ones stood their ground, refusing to give up. Fighting. But with a shore artillery canons all but destroyed, the shore would be lost sure enough.

"Ok Sister, well done, after your done, head for Alurbana, the shore is nearly lost and Mashidi has entered the palace area, i repeat, Target 2 is in the palace area.... also Payne has arrived, he and the other marines dont know about our involvement, so leave that a secret and keep it discreet agents!!!" Morbius hung up his den den mushi.

"we Are here already soldier, we are home!!!!" The city greeted Mashidi with a military greeting. Mashidi and the army slowly set their pace and equipment in Alurbana and the castle area. Mashidi then saw yet another marine Vice Admiral , whom he recognized "Ahhh Vice Admiral Payne, thank you for your assistance in this battle, we need all the help we can get....."

Manus dropped down from the sky, directly facing Darnel. Still crouched to the ground, ever ready for battle, Manus took a deep breath. "I'm afraid that I'll have to take you out. Now that the Captain has used such a complicated technique, we need our First Mate's return to be as unimpeded as possible. When we're done here, one of us won't be able to ever fight again." Manus was fully expecting that "one of us" to be Darnel, and was planning to be the one to make it happen. Manus broke into a run, leaving his position like a professional track and field runner, before leaping and performing a flip to bring his foot down at Darnel's face.

-A Challenger Appears?-

A man was walking at a steady, fairly cheery pace along one of the maze's corridors, whistling a cheery tune to drown out the sounds of war about him. He patted the sword at his waist with a smile on his face, using his free hand to fidget with some goggles on his forehead. "Oh my, the Yonkou really does have this much power? Glad he's not too terrible of a person, according to the best of rumors. I'd feel terribly put out if I thought I had to take care of him. Now, where is that silly, silly man? I hope the old boy didn't have a heart attack and die." He chuckled a good-natured, friendly laugh. "It just wouldn't be quite the equivalent punishment for all he's done, now would it? I do hope I find him soon." He returned to his whistling, and quite unbeknownst to both him and his target, he was drawing quite close.

It might have been good for Derge Sr. to watch his back.

"Undress you with my eyes, milord? Unfortunately my eyes lack such kinetic influence as to have any control over the movement of your garments ... my hands, however could accommodate this delicious task quite efficiently and with pleasure. My eyes are guilty of nothing more than peering through the gap at the neck of your garments and down the alluring curve of your spine in search of delightful treasures that may be hidden beyond."
Her thoughts wandered a bit too far she she found herself leaning in a little to closely to his neck, eyes closed, drowning in the sweet intoxication of his scent. Her eyes snapped open as the skin of her bare abdominal obliques brushed against the sword in his hand.
"Apologies, milord----"
She looked at the sword, precisely where she left it in his hand. Her eyes widened as she suddenly understood that he could not move freely. She carefully took the sword back from him and returned it to its scabbard.
"Anubis-sama... you are vulnerable. I must take this. Your sword's modifications have stripped it of its magnetism and electrical conductivity while retaining its diamond strength and the demonic will of being forged in the blood of its maker and the sand of your lands. I will die before anyone will be allowed to remove it from my possession or to harm you in any way. You have my life and my blood, my prince. I shall allow no one near you so long as I breath."
His current state of immobilization caught her attention for another reason as a devilish grin passed over her little pink muzzle. "Forgive me... " She pressed her lips somewhere between his cheek and the corner of his mouth as a sort of dying last wish to herself. She leaned forward a bit more to place a whisper against his ear. "If I live through this, you may punish me ..." She offers a coy wink before slipping into his own magically scented shadow, the darkness enveloping her completely until she disappeared in its depths, waiting in ambush like a snake spear and blade at the ready for her enemy.
