Gideon Newton v.s Manta Maimou

As Gideon was waiting for him, in the dark streets of the small town, a man with a chicken on the shoulder started moving... He had long, messy white hair, a killing intention on his face and carried a scythe with him. The man had a distinctive laughter and he could be heard laughing from far away. "Chkchkchkchkchkchkchkchk! Let's go Connie-chan... We are late..." he said to his chicken before he stopped walking slowly and started running to find his enemy and start the battle with him. Manta Maimou was about to take on Vice Admiral Gideon...

Gideon looked up at his opponent. He had waited long enough. Talking wasn't an option now. Gideon then raised his foot up and it began to glow. This was intended to be a kill shot. As Gideon's leg, up to his knee began to glow. He kicked it forward, sending off a laser beam out his leg. Attempting to obliterate Manta.

"Damn right you are....now die for keeping me waiting..Gideon Beam: Leg!!"

"Damn it!" Manta said with a worried look on his face as he noticed at the man charging the leg from his beam. Apparently, he could not predict that he was a Devil Fruit user... And not only that, but the user also happened to have the power of a very powerful fruit that Manta had heard about... The Pika Pika no Mi was not a fruit that many people could deal with.

Seeing the light getting charged, before it was even launched, Manta used his shockwave from his feet and use his Shockwave Rush technique in order to echance his speed and move with soru levels. At the time the beam was launched, he managed to move out of the way at the last time and dodge the attack at the last second. That was something lucky...

Relieved that this happened, he said to his enemy "Wow... You seem to be quite strong..." as he used his Shockwave Rush technique once more and started moving towards his enemy in an attempt to slash him with his scythe and cause him some damage.

Gideon noticed from the start that this fight would take some effort. The fact that he just dodge an unexpected Leg Beam showed the pirates skill. Gideon watched as his beam missed and it exploded in the area that he shot it in. Obliterating three houses. Gideon then turned his attention towards his opponent and watched has he rushed towards him. Gideon then stood their with his hands in his pocket and closed his eyes. His entire body then began to glow a radiant light. One so bright no man would be able to stare at him for more then 3 seconds.

"..Shining Man.."

Gideon then executed his next attack, he held up one arm and held it close to his person. He then extend his index finger fully and began charging a small beam at the tip of his finger. Similar to the beam he had just shot off. With his Shining Man activated, it would be impossible to see this next move being executed.

"..Gideon Beam: Shoot!!"

Gideon then shot a beam of light out of his finger. Aiming for his opponents thigh.

As Gideon used the Shining Man technique, Manta was blinded for a short period of time and was forced to stop his attack, apparently. He closed his eyes in order to not get blinded permanently, and he started running randomly in order to get a chance to miss the following attack that his opponent would use. Apparently, Manta was pretty sure that after a technique like that the real stuff was going to come and that he would be in trouble... And he was right. As he run, he felt a beam impaling him, causing him some damage...

"Damn it..." he said as he got hit... The pain was causing him much damage. For a brief moment, he started thinking that he was about to lose. However, an idea came over his mind. The man knew that beams move only in a line so if he used his chicken beam in front of his thigh that got hit, he would could use his thrump card and turn Gideon into a chicken.

"Chicken Beam!" he said as he launched his chicken beam that would turn the Vice Admiral into a chicken, if it hit.

His opponent was smart. He knew light traveled in a straight line, so he focused his attack in the direction the beam came from. Seeing his opponent fire off his beam towards him wasn't surprising, but was impressive. Gideon then transferred light into his legs and then bended at the knee's slightly.

"..Light Jump.."

Gideon then jumped out of harms way and appeared 30 feet in the air. This was close to his air limit. Gideon then began floating in mid air, as if he were standing on an invisible platform.

"..Weightless Man.."

Being light, Gideon could control his own body weight, he made him self the a density that allowed him to stay airborne. He then watched as Mantra was still temporarily blinded. Gideon then placed one hand on top of another as if he were protecting something in his hand.

"..Have you ever seen God's Tears?"

"God's tears?" Manta said with a smile on his face, as he raised his head towards the place the man's words came from. Then, he slowly opened his eyes. He could not see the man completely, but still he could see his body in a fading state. "I never cry, you know, to see my tears." he continued saying, as he moved his scythe quickly, launching a barrage of air blades towards the Vice Admiral in an attempt to cut him and cause him a little bit damage. He hoped that his attack would work and would damage him... Would it work or not? The man would find out soon.

Since he was in mid attack. He allowed the attack to continue. Gideon the directed thousands of smaller beams to come in contact.

"Gods Tear's

with his hair beams. Some burned straight through the blast. Some didn't. Gideon continued the attack until Manta chose to give in. Due to his high mastery over his devil fruit. Gideon could keep this attack up continuously.

As the beams of light were used, Manta could feel the heat of the attack. If those beams hit him, they could mean great trouble. However, he could not simply dodge them by running... Especially now that his body was damaged from the beam attack he recived earlier. In an attempt to avoid the attack, Manta used his Shockwave Rush technique once more, dodging the attack. As his thigh was damaged, though, the attack made his injury get bigger and he could feel some pain from using it. Gideon's attack did not hit, but he had a result he wanted as Manta was in a worse state.

"Damn..." Manta said with a worried face, as he opened his eyes completely and looked at his enemy. "He is very strong..." he thought. "I guess I have to finish this with a greater attack...". He sighed as soon as he stopped thinking and he pointed towards his enemy with his scythe. "Chicken Garden!" he said as he launched a blast from his scythe that hit the ground and unleashed many chicken beams that were moving towards Gideon. If the chicken beams hit the Vice Admiral, they would turn him into a chicken and leave him at the mercy of Manta...

Seeing how his enemy worked the last time and used a technique to jump on the air, Manta decided to go with another technique that would not only allow him to dodge, but would also make it easier for him to hit Gideon while he would be on the air. With a smile on his face, at the time the Vice Admiral got ready to fire, he said "Shockwave Fly!" and he used his signature shockwave from his legs, giving great force to him to jump and dodge the attack that was aiming towards him from behind. Then, while seeing Gideon being below him, Manta swang his scythe, launching an air blade that aimed towards the Vice-Admiral's shoulder in an attempt to damage him.

Gideon turned his head to the right and saw that his opponent had sent an air blast towards him, but wasn't quick enough to avoid total damage. Gideon bent over but was cut deeply on the shoulder. Luckily it didn't hit any bones. Gideon the did a dancing spin to the left and pointed his right arm up and index finger at his opponent. Retaliating so quickly, he shot a beam out his finger. Aiming for his opponents right elbow joint.

"Shoot.."

Manta was surprised to see that his enemy was able to battle like that even after getting hit by his air blade. It seemd that Gideon was not damaged in vital body parts, even if the attack could have caused him some damage. "What is that man?" he thought while grinning and looking at Gideon who charged an attack towards him.

"What the?!" he said, as he got hit by the light attack at his right elbow joint, taking a considerable amount of damage. His scythe that was carried from his right hand fell down and Manta looked like he was greatly surprised, seemingly in despair. He fell on his knees and looked at his enemy with the face of the one who knew that he would lose.

However, something unexpected happened while he was standing on his knees. In an instant, Manta grabbed his scythe with his left hand. Then, by using his Shockwave Rush technique from his feet he was repeled towards Gideon with Soru speeds and attempted to slash him with his scythe at the chest violently and cause him great damage.

As he was getting repeled with Soru speed, Manta took a very evil look on his face. His face was slightly shadowed, while his eyes had an evil and scary look that only a few people in the world could take. The "Chickenman" was going all out!

Seeing Gideon creating a light sword and attempting to counter attack, Manta kept the smile on his face. Apparently, as he tried to counter attack, Manta could continue going with his plan. As the Vice Admiral attempted to counter attack him with his Devil Fruit powers, Manta decided to take advantage of them before Gideon would react. "This is my chance." Manta thought, while preparing to go with his plan.

As Gideon moved towards him, without saying a single word Manta launched his signature Chicken Beam from his scythe and attempted to turn him into a chicken before he could reach him... If Gideon was turned into a chicken, Manta thought that he would get the upper hand and defeat him. He would wait and see...

The same attack again. Although Gideon was moving at such a high speed. He was still focused on his opponent. Watching his opponent fire off another beam at him was like a child throwing a dodge ball at another child head on. Gideon instead of continuing running forward. Jumped over the beam using what left Light Jump power he had and flew 15 feet into the air. With his sword in one hand. He extended his left hand and fired three Gideon Shoots One to the left, another to the right, and the last one behind him. As he did so, he waited to see his opponents next move. He was watching his opponent, as he came down on him with his Light Sword in his right hand.

"..Lets see how skilled you are.."

As the Vice Admiral fired his laser beams, Manta found himself trapped instead. Apparently, he had only one, barely two seconds to get away from the attacks before getting hit. Light... Fighting against light was something almost impossible. At least, that was what he thought. At the time Gideon charged his powerful light beams, Manta said "Damn... Is this the end?" while closing his eyes for a second. However, afterwards, an image of his brother came to his mind. His brother was looking towards him with his serious, as always, face and he asked "Are you that pathetic Manta?"

As soon as he thought of that image, Manta came up with a strategy. He would use a shockwave from his foot to lose his balance and move himself out of the way. That way, not only he would not tire himself, but also he would escape from the attack if he was lucky enough. "Shockwave!" he shouted with a serious look on his face as he used his move from his left leg and was repeled randomly away, hopefully dodging the attack.

"That was... lucky..." Manta said tired and then he raised his scythe in order to be on guard to protect himself from Gideon in case he attempted to slash him with the light sword.

Gideon saw that his opponent had some extremely good maneuvering skills. As he moved out the way. Gideon continued to purse in striking him with his sword. Gideon's first beam then was in line with his opponents head. Hopefully it would hit him. Gideon slashed his opponent on his other good leg, right on his ankle. This would be a serious injury for anyone in a fight. Gideon stood above his opponent who was just attacked and spun around in a 190 degree turn to slash his opponent in two from the waist down.
