The Early Years

Gideon Newton grew up on a small Island called Wasabi Island. It was known for its large sushi trade and shops. Unlucky for Gideon. He hated sushi. Every day he'd go hunting with a homemade spear that he made using a carving knife and a jagged rock. He normally go hunting alone. Some times he'd go with his father. Who was a local fishermen. His mother was a chef, and was very good at it. Gideon him self began to love to cook as well. One of his first hobbies. His main form of entertainment as a child was wrestling with his father. His father would sit on him and have Gideon push him off him. To build up strength. Gideon thought it was just his father being a bully. So he never actually agreed to do it. His father would normally catch Gideon when he's slacking off from doing chores and laying in the yard to sit on him. His mother and him would at times play fruit dodge. A game sort of like dodge ball, but with fruit. They would take left over fruit from the market and throw them at one another. Yes Gideon had a nice childhood.

The Birth of a Dream

When Gideon turned 12 years old. He accidentally had eaten the Glint Glint Fruit. Which made him the Light man. At first all he could do was glow. He'd glow no matter what he did. The kids around town would torment him and tease him because of his curse. They'd call him "Lighthouse boy" "Night Light" "Baby Sun" and "Shiny". All these names would enrage Gideon every time he heard them. Even if some one wasn't doing it to get his goat. Gideon would blow off steam by going hunting. One day while hunting. He saw a very large bird. A bird that didn't look local. It was a baby Snake half Chicken Monster called "Basilisk". It stood at a wopping 9 feet tall. IT was the biggest thing Gideon had ever seen. Gideon looked into the Monsters eyes. They looked...different..and not a good different..it looked..HUNGRY. As the baby Basilisk gave off a larger roar and lunged towards Gideon. Gideon threw his fist forward in attempt to punch the beast. Instead, he some how shot off a small beam out of his arm. Shooting the baby Basilisk. Sending it falling to the ground. Gideon got close to the fallen beast. Assuming it was dead. And suddenly it jumped up and began running towards Gideon. The baby basilisk chased Dorian all the way into town. Gideon then tripped, it seemed this was it for the young man. At that, a shadow casted over Gideon. It was a Vice Admiral! Major Payne! Payne then placed his palm on the baby basilisk's nose and then sent out flames out of his hand. In engulfing it completely. Minutes later it had died from burning to death. Gideon sat in amaze. How could he create flames out of his hands? Was he like him? Gideon then asked who Payne was. Payne told him and said he was just stopping buy to collect some supplies. Gideon then told Payne that he also had strange powers like Payne. Payne asked Gideon to show them to him and he demonstrated a small beam like he did earlier. Amazed that the boy had such a destructive devil fruit power. He explained that Gideon had eaten a devil fruit, and that he was now special. For hours he explained what the devil fruits could benefit for a person and told him to harness his power. Gideon asked how can he harness it. Payne then said he's going to be staying on this Island for the next 2 years to make sure no more basilisk are on this Island. In the mean time. He taught Gideon different forms of Martial arts.

Two Years

As the two years raged on. Payne had given Gideon different knowledge of the law, the world, and other things. As he helped Gideon with his educational needs. He also gave him a boost physically. Due to his father being more busy with the fishing business due to the increase of population with Payne's Fleet on Wasabi. Payne took on the role as Gideons father. During the years Payne had Gideon run different drills, just about every single day. Except Sundays, which was a rest day. A drill to raise Gideons accuracy in attacking with kicks would be to kick a log with the front of his leg. Then spin around and hit the log with the back of his leg. He'd be told to do this 100 times a day. Another drill would be actual shoot outs between Gideon and Payne. Payne would shoot out small bullets of fire from his fingers. As Gideon would fire small beams out of his. As Gideon got better aim and agility. It became more like a game. Payne would at times say they were going to make today a "play" day. But in reality, it was a secret way to get Gideon to continue his training. Payne would challenge Gideon to a foot race to the dock. Although for the first year Payne always won. As months passed into the second year, Gideon began getting closer and closer to Payne. Still no were near beating him, but still getting closer. One day while he was racing Payne. Gideon absolutely was fed up with losing. This resulting in Gideon finding out a new exert to his powers. It was the straight sprint to the end of the docks. Gideon then put all his might into the lower half of his body and it began to glow. Suddenly, Gideon dashed pass Payne, so fast. All Payne saw was Gideon flying pass him. Gideon then found out he could considerate his strength into a part of his body and boost is physical ability. That was the first day Gideon ever beat Payne in a race. Ever since then Gideon would always use his Light boost technique to increase his speed while racing Payne. Sadly, he could only do it for a brief moment, and afterwards he would feel like he couldn't move the part he boosted. That was a huge draw back to his Light boost. As Gideon continued to use Light boost. He was able to use it longer, but the draw back was still the same.

Setting Sail

After hunting down every last nest of the Basilisk on the Island of Wasabi. Payne prepared to depart. Payne always told Gideon to listen to what he had to say. But he didn't tell Gideon to stay on the Island. Although he intended to. Or did he? Gideon sailed with Payne for the next 10 years. Leaving his entire life behind him. He headed onto a life at sea. Gideon grew stronger during his sails, from the harsh chores on Paynes ship. To the intense battle with Pirate Crews Payne would usually have to take down due to his reputation. Gideon then began to grow dramatically at the age of 22. He grew up to 7 foot 6. A foot and six inches taller the Payne. Gideon used his height to his advantage. Being so tall. It was extremely easy to kick people from a distance. Also by joining the Marines. Gideon had to learn the basic sword fighting skills. With his new found skills. Gideon was promoted to Vice Admiral when he hit the age of 29. He left Paynes Ship, and departed on his own journey. To help people every where. And see that absolute justice was being up held.

Personality: Gideon is a very normal young man. He's very quiet at times. But when he does speak he's loud and incompetent. Even though Gideon is some times dumb, he posses a vasts amount of knowledge about the Marine Code. Math, Science, and World History. Thanks to Payne. He didn't have a hard childhood. He's very loving, but doesn't give any mercy to Pirates. If he's not told weather to capture some one dead or alive. He'll normally go for ether or. Gideon dislikes to use his devil fruit powers against weaker fighters. He doesn't like to hurt people at all. With that, he tries his best to make fights a one hit wonder. Maybe two. He only fights brutally when with Payne, or in a war. Gideon is known to over look most wrongs towards him. He can easily turn the other cheek no matter what you say to him. Gideon loves to laugh, If he finds something funny, or if he just feels like laughing. He'll do it. Gideon is normally a gentlemen. With the acceptation of Female Pirates. He'll speak to them and treat them like a lady. Gideon highly dislikes those who treat people like trash, and will normally beat up those who do so. Gideon loves to sing. He normally sings when in a very good mood. He also loves to dance. Rumor says it that Gideon normally dances while he fights. He'll do a spinning ballroom dance and then finish it with a Light Boost kick.

effect: The Pika Pika no Mi gives the user the ability to shoot beams of light from his hands, fingers, feet, etc capable of causing mass explosions. The user can also use light augmentation to increase his physical attacks and speed.

Special Abilities: Martial Arts Revolving around Kicks, Basic Swordsmanship, Great Aim, Very Accurate on what he wants to shoot and were he wants his beams to go.

Shining Man: Gideon will cause his entire body to shine brightly. It will only allow the opponent to look at him for as long as they could look at the sun. If they look at him any longer then they normally could, they will be forced to close their eyes and get their vision straight. (1 post)

Shining Kick: Gideon will deliver a Light Boost kick to his opponent. Its 20x Gideons original strength. (Strong enough to knock out a Giant)

Sun Sword: Gideon will create a Sword of Light. (Will stay for 5 post)

Gideon Beam: Eyes: Gideon will fire a beam of through his eyes.Once it hits a solid object. It will cause an explosion.

Gideon Beam: Arm: Gideon will fire a beam of from his arm. Once it hits a solid object. It will cause an explosion.

Gideon Beam: Leg: Gideon will fire a beam from his leg. Once it hits a solid object. It will explode causing an explosion.

Weightless Man: Gideon will define his own weight and cause him to stay afloat in mid air. HE CANNOT FLY. He can just stay in place in mid air. He can move as if he were on the ground. (not like walking. Like if he were going to attack with a kick or punch)

Gods tears: Gideon will jump into the air and hold his hands together. When he takes them apart, he will begin shooting smaller beams of light. About a foot long, rapidly from between his hands. As if it were a fall of rain. Once they hit the ground, will not explode. But will burn through objects. Even Steel.

Light Jump: Gideon will convert all his strength into his legs. And use his Glint Glint powers to boost his physical ability in both his legs. He will then jump into the air. (The Heights he can go is 40 feet)

Gideon Beam:Shoot: Gideon will shoot a single beam out of his fingers while his fingers are in the shape of a gun. the beam will not explode. But it will burn through an object.
