For some reason I'm theorizing that Discord sort of like... knew he was going to lose. His weird lake future-telling trick he used on Applejack technically came true in the second episode, so if he could predict the future... wouldn't he be able to tell that he was going to be defeated? Celestia's conspicuously blatant abscence and extraordinarily well timed save for Twilight was a little suspicious... I'm thinking Celestia and Discord planned this to strengthen the friendship between the Mane Six...

At first I wondered why Discord was still takeing the elements so lightly at the end, considering he had been defeated by them in the past and knew full well what they were capable of. Haveing rewatched the episode I now believe, based on his dialogue, that he just assumed that the mane six still hated eachother and the elements would crap out again.

Oh, so, in recent news, I can't wait for these CMC centric episodes to be over. The Cutie Pox had decent quantities of Big Mac, but of course, being me, I want more.
