Leif Arashi Empty
PostSubject: Leif Arashi   Leif Arashi Icon_minitimeMon Jul 11, 2011 11:48 am

Name: Leif Arashi

Age: 18

Bounty:
1st: 15,000,000 (For being a Revolutionary-built cyborg superweapon.)
2nd: 19,000,000 (For being accused, falsely, of burning down a city and causing the deaths of countless humans.)

Species: Cyborg

Occupation: Navigator/Lookout

Allegiance: Pirates

Home Village/Ocean: Whirlpool Village/North Blue

Appearance: Leif is about five feet and nine inches tall. He has fairly long, spiky, light brown hair. His skin color is light, but he has a slight tan. He is slim, but well muscled. At least, this is what he looks like to other people. The only really odd part of Leif’s outward appearance is his eyes. He does not have any coloration at all in them. There are no pupils or anything. Inside, Leif looks very different. He is almost completely mechanical. The only original parts of him that remain are his vital organs like his heart or his lungs. His attire rarely changes. It usually consists of a blue hoodie over a dark green, long sleeved shirt, jeans, and running shoes. He also always wears a pair of sunglasses to hide his eyes from people.

History: Leif was born to a father who never wanted him and a mother who couldn’t support him. Within three months of his birth, his mother was forced to give him up. She took him to an orphanage and, in classic movie style, she left him on the doorstep wrapped in blankets, knocked, and ran away. It was many years before she saw him again, but when she did, she did not know that it was him. The orphanage named the baby ‘Leif’ because of a piece of paper they had found lying on top of him which had that word on it.

Leif’s life in the orphanage did not last long. He was adopted a few weeks later by Ken and Tina Arashi. They hadn’t been able to have children up to that point even though they had been trying for a couple of years. It was almost funny that they did this because a couple of weeks after they had adopted Leif, Tina became pregnant. Ken and Tina actually had three children in all, not counting Leif. Even so, they never regretted their decision of adopting him. In fact, they never told him that he was adopted. He still doesn’t know it, though he has wondered at times because he looks nothing like Ken or Tina.

Leif got along well with his siblings: Dillon, May, and Ventus. He wasn’t overly fond of Dillon, but the other two were very close to him. They did everything together: played games, got into trouble, went to birthdays, everything. Their childhoods were mostly uneventful.

When Leif turned seventeen he was caught in an explosion that left him crippled and almost dead. Everyone thought it was an accident. That is, everyone except Dillon. Dillon had always been jealous of Leif. He had thought for years that Leif got all the attention and all the credit. Then one night he overheard his parents talking about Leif in low whispers and Dillon learned the truth. Leif had been adopted! He wasn’t even his brother by blood! Now, Dillon had always been fond of making things blow up and he had even created a few explosives of his own, so it wasn’t hard for him to set up the ‘accident’ in a place he knew Leif was likely to go.

Leif spent the next few weeks in the hospital. It was touch and go with him for a while. Finally he stabilized, but his life was pretty much over so far as his physical abilities were concerned. He couldn’t walk. One of his arms was damaged beyond repair. His skin had been mostly burned off, though it was starting to grow back. He was a mess. Leif fell into a depression and even once or twice considered suicide, although he wasn’t selfish enough to ever have actually carried it out. He knew how much it would hurt his parents and his siblings. Then a man came.

The man claimed to be a World Government scientist. He said that the World Government was doing experiments on people and trying to make them into cyborgs. The idea was that they could then have more powerful soldiers and help people by replacing lost limbs. The man told Leif that it was a dangerous process, one that several men and women had lost their lives attempting. Leif, however, decided to go with the man. He didn’t want to feel useless anymore. He didn’t tell his mother or father that he was going, but left a note for them explaining everything.

The island they went too was barren and void of any life except that of humans and a little bit of grass. The man immediately took Leif to the place where he would be worked on and, after telling him that it would be some time before he next awoke, the man put him under.

Three and a half months passed. Leif turned eighteen during that time. His family had been frantic when they found his note, but now they simply waited, hoping desperately for his return. The work on Leif went slowly. These people had had too many failures. This time, they had every intention of succeeding. And they did. Leif survived the process. His body became mechanical. The thing was, they didn’t just give him mechanical limbs. They put weapons inside of him.

At long last, Leif awoke. However, it wasn’t a pleasant awakening like the one he had been hoping for. His body was very heavy and cold. And there were explosions coming from nearby. The scientist who had brought Leif too the island came and found him awake. He took Leif from that place and led him too an underground lake, which opened up to the ocean. All the while Leif asked him what was going on and the truth began to spill out. The man did not work for the World Government. He was a revolutionary. The man helped Leif into the boat and then pushed off immediately. He explained that the other revolutionaries were either dead or trapped and they had to escape.

To make a long story short, the escape was successful and barely two days later, Leif was hearing the entire story in a hotel room. The revolutionaries had been trying to copy the government cyborg weapon programs. They had failed many times and Leif was their first real success. A few others had survived the process, but they were all in comas right now. After hearing the story, Leif wanted to return home and the man wasn’t strong enough to stop him. But as Leif left the hotel, he saw his name and face on a bounty poster in a window. The man followed him outside and explained that they had kept records of everyone they put through the process. The World Government now knew everything about Leif and his family and what modifications had been made to his body. Leif barely heard any of this, though. He simply stared at the poster and couldn’t take his eyes off of the words: “Dead or Alive”.

The man was right. The Marines who had raided the Revolutionary base had found the records of Leif Arashi. They had given him a bounty of fifteen million. Sure, it was a sizable sum, but after seeing what his new parts made him capable of, it was fortunate that they had not made it higher. The only thing that had held them back was the fact that many of his parts were still inactive.

Personality: Leif used to be a bright, cheerful young man. He got along with people and was well liked both at school and at home. He still is all of this; however, the traumatizing experiences he has gone through have changed him. He is darker now. More sad and lonely. He rarely smiles anymore. He’s almost always afraid of being captured and angry at being dragged into this mess. His outlook would probably change if he met some people he could trust, but until that time comes, he keeps to himself.

Since Leif's mechanical parts in his arms have been activated, I switched out his two punching techniques for their blade counterparts and added two new blade techniques. I also added the cannon technique.

I also would like to raise his bounty to 25,000,000 for his involvement with the Blizzard Pirates for having supposedly burned down a town.

I don't think you would get THAT much for that. I'd say 19,000,000 for the update. Other then that approved
