Serious: The Dusk Pirates; Chapter 4: The big move (Open to the Dusk Pirates)

"I said MOVE!" Frank shouted when the bears lined before him. He maintained his run, holding the boulder in front of himself. As he got closer to the bears, he shifted his grip to the upper section of the boulder. The lower part hit the bears, who stopped it and blocked it, but the upper part was still being pushed by Frank, resulting in a break. The upper part broke off, with Frank holding on to it like a surf board, and went above the bears with Frank on it. Then, Frank stood up on the flat rock that created a roof above the bears and smashed his feet down, sending the rock down on the bears in order to crush them with Frank's strength and create a safe path above them for the crew to pass on.

Alex jumped out of the other side of the group of Blugori. He merely stepped back and looked on as the battle raged. So maybe his allies weren't so weak after all. In that case, he would not leave them just yet.

Alex's wings retracted and then leathery ones appeared in their place. He was once again in his stealth mode. Alex flew into the air and then dropped silently towards the bears that were surrounding Quincy. In his mind he thought: "Midnight Stalker..."

Alex then slashed at the bears' backs with his sword.

"Thank you Alex. I'm in your dept." Quincy said to Alex. This bears were tough even for him with a energy steriod. If it wasn't for Alex those bears would have killed him. Quincy threw an chemical ball at the beasts in front of them. In order for them to make out of here alive they had to work together. Maybe with Alex, Quincy and Frank working together they find a way to survive. Quincy ran on the path that Franks had made for them. He only hoped that Mantra survived.

"Hmph, do you really want to know?" Manta said as he started spinning his scythe. Then, he said "I won't even give you time to figure this out...". In an instant, he appeared at a spot behind with all of the other crew members who happened to be at the place. He laughed evily and said "Chicken Garden!" as he launched a blast from his scythe. The blast soon exploded and turned into chicken beams that striked the Blugoris and the bears and turned most of them into chickens... And along with these beams, a beam moved towards Quatro in order to turn him into a chicken. Afterwards, Manta moved the scythe with swift movements and said "Scythe Windslash!" as he launched an air blade towards the creatures that were turned to chickens that cut their heads. He said "You cannot win... It is that simple.". The temporary captain was going all-out against the enemy! Who would emerge victorious?

Koga and R.A.M. 2 were shocked to see that thing. They had not seen Manta being that mad before. When they entered the building as well as when they thought of the plan he was not so mad... Now, he had turned into a killing machine that annihilated anything that happened to be right in front of his path. What a strange person... The battles were definitely weird to watch.

The bears were severely damaged by these consecutive attacks that Alex and Frank were doing, Quincys chemicals were also having effects, they growled and tried to move freely but some fell while some moved forward, some just plain passed out.

As Manta shot more beams, Quatro was smart enough to know he should not get hit by that beam, not if he wanted to live. He back flipped and kicked his feet to jump to the above onto the ceiling handles above. However when the next attack came which was the windslash, the blade had somehow cut him squarely. He grunted and held the handlebar as he bled from his torso a little. He growled "Like i said....."

"I warned ya!" Frank shouted at the bears that got squashed by his boulder. He then turned to see what was the situation of his other nakama. "Guys c'mon! The path is clear!" He shouted, signaling them to pass on his makeshift bridge. "We need to move fast before they'll send backup! We can't stay in the same place for too long!" He shouted. 'I sure hope you can handle him Manta... We'll need ya later' He thought, looking at the fight that was taking place above him.

"See what I mean?" were the words of Manta to his enemy as soon as he looked at his attack cutting him. He laughed at the enemy as he started bleeding. Normally, he would delay the battle in order to cause him much more pain, but he had no time to lose as the more they stayed on the floor, the more reinforcements would come and more people would chase the Dusk Pirates. Instead, he had to finish the battle as fast as possible. With an angry look on his face, the man turned his head towards R.A.M. 2 and says "Shoot me with that strange beam of yours...". R.A.M. 2, who was afraid of the temporary captain, shot him with a suba beam, echancing his speed dramatically for a short period of time. Afterwards, Manta said "Everyone! Start moving to the next floor! We have no time to lose! I will take on this guy while all of you move below! I will search for Maximillion here and if I find him I will come and get you! Now, go!".

Then, Koga and R.A.M. 2 started running away in order to do what the temporary captain commanded. Fortunately, he had killed many of the monsters with his previous attack and so the place was clear of enemies for a while. It would be possible to move to the next floor... However, the two of them didn't know what was going to happen at the floor at all...

Manta smiled as the two members run away. The others would probably follow them and so he would not have to worry. He said "I have to end this quickly. Sorry." as he disappeared from his spot and appeared behind Quatro in an instant. Then, he swang his scythe extremely fast and with much strength in an attempt to cut Quatro in two from the spine. For the next few seconds, Manta would be much faster thanks to the powers of the Subagun that R.A.M. 2 used on him. The battle would probably come to a close soon, unless Quatro stalled time to protect himself until the beam's effect stopped and Manta would not be that fast... Who knew what was going to happen between them.

Meanwhile, Lecter, who looked at the move of the temporary captain was surprised. He commanded all the units who were gathered around him. "Listen everyone! Gather the special guns with the sea-stone nets and get to the entrance from level 2! We have to trap them!". Lecter had a plan. He would first try to disable the usage of Manta's and R.A.M. 2's weapons. The strange gun and the scythe possessed a danger for the guards and Lecter aimed at disabling them. At least that was what he showed...

And on level 5... Maximillion could see the guards from around be moving quickly. He could understand that they were moving because of his dear friends. He thought "Hmphmphmphmphmphmphmph! Everything is going as planned! Soon enough, I will have retrieved Anty and then this hell can go to hell, my military power will have no limits! Hmphmphmphmphmphmphmphmph!". What a twisted mind! What could he be thinking? That was still a mystery... A big mystery.

Quincy ran across the brigde that Frank has made. There seemed to be no end to these beasts. They weren't even on level 3 and already things were already going downhill. If only they could just make it over level 2 then maybe they would have a chance. Quincy released a mass chemical ball below blowing up the bears and other beasts below.

“Don’t mention it,” Alex said when Quincy thanked him.

Now, as they others were running for the next floor and Manta was fighting, Alex flew high above, running interference. He had switched back to his feathery wings and was repeatedly launching air blasts down on the bears and other beasts to keep them away from the others. Then, twisting around a Blugori’s thrown ax, Alex flew down to join the others.

As the others were moving away in order to get to the next level a loud sound was heard. Something was coming towards them and that thing was nothing compared to the other creatures. Although it wasn't the most terrifying creature of level 2, it still was dangerous. It could be heard from afar and the sound it made was horrible. It was a long-bodied creature with a chicken-snake hybrid face. It was the Basilisk of Impel Down. The creature said "CHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHK!" to the invaders, prepared to attack them. What would the Dusk Pirates do? Would they defeat the Basilisk or not? It would depend on their actions, for sure.

Quincy looked at the large chicken snake like creature. "Oh god you have got to be kidding me. This is by far the most strangest of animals I ever seen, and yet I don't have my stetchbook. I got to get a sample from this creature when we are done kicking its butt." Quincy's legs refused to move though despite that the thing was coming toward them. Quincy's legs and arms started trembling. He was scared as heck. This beast who was so much larger than him got his frighten as hell.

'Huh, the CHICKEN man is busy fighting some punk while we are attacked by a monstrous CHICKEN... the irony...' Frank thought to himself as he looked at the giant chicken creature. "Ok weird-o! Let's dance!!!" Frank shouted, poiting his fist at the monster. He planned on stalling the chicken while his nakama will move forward, backup was sure to come if they'll spend anymore time in the same floor.

“Hey, hey, let’s not waste any more time around here, yeah?” Alex said to his crewmates. He placed one hand on Quincy’s shoulder and grinned at the frightened man. “It’s just a stupid giant chicken. No big deal, right? Look at Frank. He’s got the right idea.” Alex took a couple of steps forward, cupped his hands around his mouth, and then yelled, “DO YOU HEAR ME YOU DUMB BIRD? WE’RE GONNA SQUASH YOU RIGHT HERE AND NOW!”

Please spare me the theatrics and just get to it already, Alexander moaned.

“I’m goin’ ya slave driver,” Alex muttered right back. He entered his battle form and then flew right at the Basilisk, slashing at its face with his sword. “En Garde!”

The beast was quite frightening. The fear it caused would definitely be trouble for the Dusk Pirates. Despite the fact that it was not that strong, it was still stronger than most of the creatures in Impel Down and much stronger than the Blugoris and the Bears that the pirates defeated. It would be a showdown between the swordsman, the doctor, the musician, the navigator and the pet against the Basilisk. The battle between them was about to begin. Who would emerge victorious?

Koga laughed as he looked at Alex. Apparently, as the man moved he slashed the creature at the face. The slash caused much damage and a deep wound appeared on the creature's face. The creature screamed in pain and agony as it was attacked. That was the strength of the slash... However, it would not be defeated like this. With the scar it had on its face, it looked at the pirates and screamed as it moved it moved its tail towards the pirates in order to slam them.

With a worried face, Koga stopped laughing and jumped out of the way. The strange hybrid was mad with the pirates. They should cut its head before it was too late and it was much more dangerous. They had no time to lose, no matter what. He said "Everyone! Go with your strongest attacks against these thing! We have to stop it quickly and get to the next level!" as he used its Shell Stamp move on it and caused a little bit damage.

R.A.M. 2 took a strange stance. The cyborg would go with a technique as well. It would shoot the creature with its Subagun. He pointed towards it with precision and shot from his gun a speed echanced bullet that hit the snake and caused it more damage. The Dusk Pirates started an assault on the monster at the same time! What a decision!

[basically, SK and Sleepy use your techniques on it and it will get defeated]

Quincy felt better now that Alex had gave him some words, and seeing him fight the monster gave him the encouragement to fight. Quincy ran toward the beast and jumped toward its face ready to punch the beast in the face."

"Hey chicken freak!" Frank shouted, attracting the monster's attention. "Prepare to have your ass handed to ya!" He shouted, running towards the monster, facing Quincy. He sent a punch of his own, aiming at the monster's chick, so that it's face will jam between the two fists of the Dusk's members.

"CHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHK!" the monsters said as it got punched by the other two Dusk Pirates and was sent flying, far away. As it was sent flying it hit on the door that would lead to level 3 and because of the force of the impact that door was broken. The Dusk Pirates were lucky for sure. Now, they would be able to progress to the next floor and search for Maximillion there. However, that floor was much more dangerous than the previous and the current one. On level 3, a big trap was set for the Dusk Pirates. A trap that the Chief Guard, Lecter Kageroza thought off. Would the crew pass through the trap?

Koga and R.A.M. 2, seeing what happened, prepared themselves in order to get to the following level. Koga said "Come on everyone! Let's go!" as he got out of his shell. Then, he kicked it with much strength and jumped on it immediately, making it seem like he was skating on it. He thought "Yeah, I look so cool! Hurraaaaaaaaaaaaay!" as he was "skating" through the stairs and was moving to level 3, with R.A.M. 2 from behind and probably the rest of the crew who was following... What an exciting adventure!

Meanwhile, on Level 3... Lecter had seen through his visual Den Den Mushi the battle with the Basilisk. The Chief Guard whispered "Dusk Pirates... You are all unbelievable. That was what I expected from you from the very start...". Then, he moved his finger on his glasses and placed them on his eyes. The glasses shined and he said to his subordinates who were around "Bazooka Unit. Head for the stairs. We shall trap them with our nets.". The plan of Lecter was to catch the invaders with the Bazooka Unit. Would it work or not?

Quatro waited as he saw that strange beam hit Manta. He then saw Manta flicker. He was keeping calm till he heard the step behind his body. He instantly reacted but felt once again, himself being sliced. He slammed away badly wounded from Mantas attack and speed. He picked up his knife and huffed and puffed. He lifted up his gun "This is it.... you got faster as hell...... was it that beam?..... you have a strange crew.... huh?....." Quatros blood loss was too much, he fell to the floor and passed out from the injuries on the floor.

The beasts were being defeated and demolished but in Level 5, there was unrest amongst the prison guards , whose breaths were shown in the cold air. Jack Yomi walked foward and sat down in front of Maximillions cell "Interesting.... they might just make it here..... a pity really..."

"Of course you wouldn't see it coming! Chkchkchkchkchkchkchkchkchkchkchkchkchk!" were the words of Manta who laughed at his opponent for getting defeated from the attack. R.A.M. 2 proved to be useful after all. That weapon he carried. It was interesting. Very interesting. With it, he could be something more than a valuable crewmate. He was the enchanter of the crew. However, that did not matter at that time. What mattered to Manta was to see how he would dispose of Quatro. He had thought of many ways... The first way was to cut him to peaces and feed him to the beasts, but that would not be very painful. The second way was to cut him with the scythe and get his remaining bones out of his body to cause him extreme pain. Another way was to chop his limbs with the scythe. However, Manta decided to do something else.

With an evil look on his face, the man moved his scythe. He looked around as some beasts were coming to attack him. However, before they did he launched a chicken beam and turned them to chickens in order to avoid dealing with them. He said "You freak... This is going to be fun." as he started slashing him on the chest with his scythe, with much presicion. Apparently, what he was doing was something worse than the previous tortures he thought of. This was something much more painful. The temporary captain of the Dusk Pirates used his scythe to write his own name on Quatro's body to remind him of the battle he had with him, in case he survived. Manta licked the blood of the enemy that was coming on his face every second that passed. He said as he listened to him screaming "YEEEEEEEEEES! SCREAM! I WANT TO HEAR IT!" as he wrote his name. As soon as he was done, Quatro stopped, though. He closed his eyes completely and he did not speak a word. Manta could not understand whether he was dead or alive. He pressumed that he was dead because of the strange shape his body had. And so, after torturing him, the cook started searching for his brother at the cells.

As he was searching, though, a prisoner informed him. He said "I don't know who you are looking for... But I doubt he would be here. If that man is on par with you, he is probably at level four...". Manta was surprised. He said "On par with me? What do you mean?". The prisoner sighed and started explaining "The higher bounty some people have, at a lower level cell they are placed. So if you are trying to save a subordinate on yours who is on par with you in terms of strength, then I suggest you to head to level 4.". Manta laughed as soon as he listened to that. He said "On par with me? No... I am searching for the man that will make the world tremble when they hear his name! Chkchkchkchk!". Then, as he learned the information he wanted, he moved towards the others in order to follow them. They had just moved through the stairs so he should reach them soon.

Meanwhile, Koga who was on the stairs stopped for a moment. He took a look at everyone behind and he looked at R.A.M. 2 as well. He had heard a scream... A very familiar scream. A scream that belonged to Quatro. He said "It seems like he was unlucky. Manta won... I wish him luck despite the fact that he is trouble.". Then, he started kept moving downwards in order to attack. The crew was reaching level 3! More intense battles were about to begin!

”I guess we’d better follow them,” Alex commented. He switched to his speed form and sped after the excited turtle and cyborg. There was nothing more to be done or said on this floor. Not at the moment, at any rate.

Qunicy ran behind Alex toward Koga and R.A.M toward level 3. The steroids were staring to wear off, but they were only one more level way from Max-sama. Quincy prayed that his body could last but a few moments longer. What horrors lied in level 3 was anyone guess, but one thing that quincy knew it couldn't be good.

"Yea! You can't do nothing! Eat this fool! All of this prison can get down on it's knees and... Hey wait for me!!" Frank shouted. He noticed that his friends headed for the next level was he was gloating. He ran behind Quincy, keeping a warry eye on the cages on both of his sides. The prisoners seemed injured and scarred for life. 'I wonder if how Max is handling this place...' He thought.

"Move now." Lecter commanded with his Den Den Mushi the troops who were at the end of the stairs that led from level 2 to level 3. The Bazooka Unit, the troops, quickly run towards the direction they were commanded to go. The Bazooka Unit was a unique unit of the jail. They had Bazookas that could launch Sea-Stone nets. These nets would nullify the abilities of the weapons and the members of the Dusk Pirates and so they would be trapped for good. Around fifty soldiers moved at the same time and they all stopped in front of the pirates. The man in charge of the fifty men, said "Dusk Pirates! Stop right now!" as the Bazooka Unit pointed towards them.

The man had long red hair and light blue eyes. He wore the standard officer clothes but there was a slight difference. He had the emblem of the World Government at the part that his clothes were covering the heart. He was a high ranked member of Impel Down. He did not have a rank as high as Lecter's or Quatro's and so he was commanded by them but he was still "someone" inside that prison and could command the Bazooka Unit.

"Now fire!" he said as the guards fired to the pirates and nets appeared out of their Bazookas that moved towards them in an attempt to trap them from the front. The Vice Guard introduced himself "Allow me to introduce myself...I am a Vice Guard of the prison... Marcus Julius Catilina... and the people who are shooting you are called the Bazooka Unit. Welcome to hell."

"What the?!" Koga shouted as he and R.A.M. 2 were grabbed by a net. He was unable to move his body. He was trapped by these stupid guards. He said "These nets... they are unbreakable! What the *EFF* are they made off? They are... Impossible to break!". And he was right. It was difficult to break the nets from the inside. Somebody had to be outside to cut them down... But who would be that person?

Meanwhile, Lecter left towards his room in level 3. That was the place he used to live. He entered the room and sighed. He was only carrying his Den Den Mushi with him in order to contact Marcus and give him orders. However he did not care about that. He cared for the fact that he would get to battle soon. He thought "Dusk Pirates... I really wish I could have avoided that... But you will get to battle against my Jigen Naginata, even if that will be short.". Then, he opened a secret door in his chamber. He walked a dark path and appeared in a room. The room was full of papers on the wall and various things like these that could not be understood. It looked like a strange laboratory. However, the most surprising thing in the room was a weapon that was placed on the wall. A strange naginata... Lecter picked it up and left from the room with it in order to get back to his position. He knew that the Dusk Pirates would move through the Bazooka Unit. He just needed his time to take his weapon. That was why he sent them...

At the same time, at level 5... Maximillion looked at Jack. He said "Do you really believe that? They are a bunch of weaklings... Compared to me. I suggest you to stop them before it is too late... Otherwise, as soon as I get freed the whole prison is going to be in danger.". Then, a prisoner looked towards Maximillion. He said "You? A danger? You surrendered yourself to not get killed. You are pathetic.". "Oh really?" Maximillion responded. "We will see as soon as I get freed. You will be the first one to die." he continued, much to the prisoner's shock...

Quincy was surprised as the bazooka squard fired upon them. He would have moved, but his body has shut down from the steriods which sapped his strength. The net caught Quincy wrapping itself around his body. Though Quincy wasn't a df user, the net trapped him nonetheless. "Aw Crap help me!!!! Somebody help me!!!!"

The moment Frank's eys noticed the nets, his entire body enterd a spasm. 'Seastone!' He thought. He feared the evil element of the sea. He felt the sea's effect on his powers once and he became completely powerless. He must avoid the nets. Loga and RAM were trapped but Frank couldn't help them from his current position since he couldn't touch the nets. He ducked low, positioning himself in an almost flat position, avoiding two nets that passed above him. He'll have to figure out a way out of this mess.
