Species: Human
Occupation: Historian
Allegiance: Pirates/Revolutionaries
Home Island/Ocean: Daisy Island/West Blue
Appearance: Lily stands at 5’6”. She has long, flowing red hair that she sometimes ties up in a ponytail. Her eyes are a golden-brown. Like most redheads, her skin is very pale. She does have some freckles, but not many. While she is small, she is more muscular than she first appears, being able to wield a large broadsword. Lily tries not to stand out in a crowd and will normally wear something basic like a t-shirt and jeans. At times she will also wear a long, dark brown hooded cloak or she might put on a fake pair of glasses which she carries around with her. (The frames are real, but the glass isn’t made to help with eyesight. She has almost perfect vision.) Lily does not stick to one style, however, but switches all the time. One oddity that Lily has is that her canines are unusually long. This leads to her having an almost vampire-like smile when she grins. So, once again to hide her identity, she does not grin unless the person already knows who she is or she wants the person to know who she is.
History: Lily was born on Daisy Island, an island where most people, especially the girls of the island, were named after flowers. Lilly’s parents were hardworking, law abiding citizens, who disapproved of the way the government was set up, but were careful to follow the laws. Lilly was much like her parents in those early days. She was a sweet young girl who was well liked by the people of the island.
Her life began to change when she overheard her parents talking about the World Government together. She heard of the World Government’s corruption and how the reason they existed was covered up. So Lilly began to research how the World Government had come into being. She looked through old documents and searched ancient writings, but she couldn’t find anything about that time. It seemed like all of that information had been erased.
One of Lily’s family’s neighbors, a retired Marine who Lilly was fond of, learned what she was up to and he called it in. The reaction was swift. Marines arrived on the island to execute Lily. Her parents refused to hand her over so they were killed, but they gave Lilly enough time to escape from the house. Scared and uncertain as to where she would go next, Lily was chased all over the island. The retired Marine who had turned her in found Lilly and hid her in his home. He apologized to her admitting that he was the one who had brought this into her life. He had thought the Marines would simply frighten her and force her to stop looking into the past. He had not expected this kind of a reaction.
Eventually, after weeks of searching, the Marines concluded that Lilly must have left the island. They too left, but a few guard remained to make sure that Lilly would be caught if she ever resurfaced on the island. The retired Marine took care of Lilly as best he could. The Marines pretty much left him alone thinking that he would have nothing to do with her disappearance since he was the one who had turned her in. With so much time on her hands, Lilly began to think about things. She had to make some life changing decisions. At last, she came to the conclusion that the problem was the World Government itself and that the Marines were misguided. She decided that she would not hide for the rest of her life, but would go out into the world on her own.
First, she asked the retired Marine to teach her what he knew about survival on the ocean. And so he did. For six months she learned the basics of cooking, navigating, and doctoring. She learned how to fight as well. Her forte was sword fighting, but she also learned how to shoot with pistols and rifles. Finally, she set out on her own. The retired Marine gave her his old katana, a pistol, and enough money to get her started. Lilly went down to the docks in a disguise and bought a small boat and then set sail on her mission: A fifteen year old against the entire World Government.
It has been about six years since that time. Lily has grown taller, stronger, and more beautiful. She has been causing a lot of trouble on her journey. To put it more bluntly: the World Government hates her guts. She has single-handedly destroyed entire vessels. She has outmaneuvered battleships and outfought Captain-ranked Marines. The old katana, which the retired Marine gave her, broke long ago and she has replaced it several times. Her newest main weapon is not even a katana. It’s a broadsword called Raiken. She’s also eaten a devil fruit and become skillful with its powers. She has learned much more about the past and how the World Government came into being. She has off and on joined pirate crews and worked alongside revolutionaries. At the moment she is working with a revolutionary group. One thing that has somewhat affected the Marines opinion of Lilly is that she once saved a Marine and nursed him back to health before returning him to his people.
Personality: Lily has many personalities. This is yet another attempt to hide who she is until she is ready to reveal herself once more. Even when she does reveal herself, often times she plays another part that is not her own. She acts tough, but kind with a little touch of arrogance. Her true personality is one that she does not show to anyone but those she fully trusts. Inside, she is afraid. She’s afraid for her family. She’s afraid of pirates. She’s afraid of the Marines. But most of all, she’s afraid of the World Government. Lily hates the World Government with a passion. She doesn’t hate its ideals of peace and order, but she hates the fact that it exists in the first place. According to her, the World Government is going to be destroyed by its own people in the end and pirates are the only things that are keeping that from happening. (Her history explains this further.) Lily is an idealist. She knows things will never be perfect, but she knows that things could be better than they are and wants them to change. And she is determined to make things change, even if she has to make it change on her own. However, Lilly does not like to kill to get her way. In fact, she avoids it at all cost unless it becomes absolutely necessary to survive. If she is able, she would rather help an enemy recover from a battle and change their ideals rather than leave them in the dirt to bleed.
Ship: She switches ships all the time, but normally they are small ships that could comfortably fit two or three people for a journey.
Ship Flag: N/A
Devil Fruit:
Hari-Hari no miType: Logia
Effect: The user is capable of controling and creating glass. If the glass is melted, it becomes incredibly difficult to manipulate.
Special Abilities:
Strength: Lily is not insanely strong, but she is much stronger than she looks. She can easily wield the large Raiken.
Acrobat: Lily is skilled at pretty much any kind of movement. Not only can she climb anything or do flips at a moment’s notice from a standing position, but she can twist her body into shapes that would make even the most hardened person wince.
Learned Techniques
Sword Techniques:
1. Humming Sting: A quick forward thrust of the blade.
2. Hammer Crush: Lily brings her sword down with all her strength in an overhead blow.
3. Plunging Waterfall: Lily drops with her sword pointed down at her opponent.
4. Lightning Javelin: Lily flips her sword around backwards and dashes at high speed past her opponent’s side, slashing forward with her sword as she does.
5. Reign of Crimson: A high speed combo of four slashes, each aimed to cripple or kill her opponent.
Fruit Techniques:
1. Crystal Spires: Lily brings glass together and forms spikes on the ground out of the pieces to impale her opponent on.
2. Crystal Storm: Lily makes a bunch of glass spin around her at high speed to protect her from attacks. This is mainly used to block physical attacks. It might not stop Lilly from being hit, but it would almost certainly cut anyone who came into range.
3. Crystal Hail: Lily raises a lot of glass into the air and then sends it flying towards her opponent. This can cause minor cuts and scrapes.
4. Crystal Spears: Lily forms spears out of glass and hurls them at her opponent.
5. Crystal Maiden: Lily gathers glass around her opponent to slow them down and block their vision. Then she drives Crystal Spears through both them and the glass surrounding them. This attack is almost fatal, if not completely fatal, but it is fairly easy to avoid. Due to her personality, Lily would not kill someone with this technique unless she really despised them. She would instead injure them to the point that they could not fight. (A.K.A. She won't kill PCs unless I have permission. Even then she most likely would not kill them because of who she is.)
Weapons/Items:
RaikenPistol
Goals: To destroy the World Government and create a new government. To show the Marines that they’re on the wrong side.
