Raiken

Name: Raiken

Description: The Raiken is a large broadsword. Its blade is fairly generic in its grayish coloring. The blade is straight and it has a cross-shaped guard and hilt. It is built stronger than the average sword, but still does not quite compare to the grade swords.

Special Abilities: The Raiken has absorbed the Mini-Mini no mi. With this fruit it can become smaller. This makes it the perfect weapon for Lilly’s purposes since she could shrink it down to the size of a knife and store it in her pocket. She even has a small sheath for it while it’s in its knife form.

History: The Raiken was made simply to be a broadsword. Its owner did not just deal in weapons though. He was a collector and liked to buy unusual items just to say he had owned them. Then, if a good enough offer came through, he would sell that item again. One day he bought a devil fruit and then carelessly left it on the counter next to the Raiken while he went off to help another customer. Through some strange process, the Raiken absorbed the fruit and gained the ability to become smaller. The owner returned to find his fruit gone and after a lengthy search, he decided it must have been stolen.

Barely a week later, Lilly Hope entered the shop in search of a new weapon, her last one having broken in a fight. Her fighting specialty was using a katana, but she was careful and tried every weapon in the shop. When she touched the Raiken, to her great surprise, it shrunk. Lily quickly figured out that the weapon could also grow back to its regular size and her interest grew. She asked the shop keeper how much it was and she couldn’t believe how cheap it was. Thinking that the shop keeper had no idea of its true value, Lily offered him more money then he had asked for saying that it was a really good blade. He was happy to get the extra money, never realizing that he had had such a treasure in his shop.
