DW Tournament : Archon Jon vs Genshi

The scene of this battle could truly be called one. The battlefield was covered with mist, just thin enough to make out the ethereal battle raging around them, so close, yet so disconnected from their reality. Archon drew his sword, swinging it a wide arc, banishing the mist around their immediate area, gusting past Genshi and revealing the warriors to each other. The floor they were standing on was now clearly revealed, the wooden deck of a half-sunken ship still somehow stable, floating in the midst of many other ruined ships only barely visible in the mist.

Archon struck a fencing pose, pointing his sword at Genshi. "Salutations. You look like a better match than the last warrior I fought. Tell me, are you like me, having fought through one to reach me? Or are you a figment of this place? Or maybe a newcomer to the scene?" Archon mused to the fighter in front of him. "Or shall we just get this over with?" Archon continued with a slightly lower tone of voice, tightening his stance to take on an attack.

Genshi stood in the mist,

"Man, i must look awesome." he thought to himself.

When the mist cleared up, Genshi felt dissapointed about it, losing his cool edge. When he noticed the somewhat destroyed ship, quickly jumping around, looking for some footing.

"Uhh, I am a victor of the previous... combat. And it appears, that you are my new opponent. um, Have at you then." he shouted

"Good attitude." Archon smiled, changing stance. "Flow of the Wind." A small step sprang him forth several meters, another step bringing him directly in front of Genshi in a motion that could almost be called gliding, his blade held at shoulder height. He slashed at Genshi's upper chest in a smooth motion, finishing into a perfect defensive stance with the blade held diagonally in front of his torso.

Genshi's shirt was cut, he made a clay armor under his shirt, but the opponent was too quick. the slash left a small cut on his chest before Genshi jumped back. He unsheathed his swords and whilst jumping back, shot a spiky blue wave at Archon, simultaneously gaining distance and attacking.

Archon stepped forward as the blue wave approached, angling the blade the deflect the blade upwards as he closed in. He hefted the sword above him with two hands, angling the sword slightly to cause greater damage. Then he suddenly surged forth, directing a knee at Genshi's lower stomach area, lowering the sword to his side, ready to block.

Genshi saw the knee and jumped back again. He was a in a bit of a panic state when he saw water directly beneath him. He quickly reached before and behind him, reaching the remains of an old mast split in half. He pulled himself up, placing a leg on each half.

"Let's see you block this." he said, swinging his sword in a circular motion, faster and faster, shooting a new blue wave, moving in a buzz saw motion.
