But wouldn't the effect on flesh stop if seperated from the user? Iunderstand the weapons. but the site says if one is seperated from the user, his flesh doesn't rust any more.

ya all a person would have to do is leave the cloud of rust on your wont be affected having 5 posts to move out of it should be 5 times more than enough time to get away.
Yes Flesh does stop rusting after the person breaks contact with the rust. the rusting effect seems to be reversible for as long as it does not entirely oxidize the entity in question, So basically the user would become Oxidized if they decide to dance and play in the Cloud of rust for 5 of there own posts
