Serious: the adventures of the oblivion pirates: part 1

"By the way if we kill her, I get to take her life energy before it fades away. Alright?"

((like i said im not entirely sure but dont get your hopes up just yet even if she doesnt join you cant kill her unless you have permission from the creator which i dont think she'll let you eat her))

Clarisse had to think fast. Pointing her left index finger straight down and her right one between Saru and Xark. She had to make sure she wouldn't be in range as well. "Five!" She screamed. For those two, the area they were standing in would now feel like it was pressing down on them. Everything they were holding, even their own bodies would weigh five times as much. Even the sword flying at her across this area was affected, hitting the ground powerfully short of its target. Not wasting a second, Clarisse jumped. The odd thing was, she didn't come back down, but kept going up with the strength she moved with, her body not affected by gravity. Xark and Saru however, would be finding it difficult to do even the most simple things, like move, for the next 30 seconds. Quickly, Clarisse changed the direction her fingers were pointed and spoke, "Two." This time affecting herself, Clarisse began to "fall" in a new direction, across the island while still remaining in the air. It would appear as though she simply flew away.

Connor had to think fast. He fired a weak sound blast at the two knocking out of what he figured was gravity manipulation. He could see the woman moving along rather quick. "I don't think so, you just made me angry, and I won't let you get away." He fired off a powerful sonic boom, hitting a small rock that sent it flying straight at the woman. Using the vibration from the flying rock he shot off a blast of sound that would slice her finger. "Let's see you get out of this one."

"Now she's getting interesting." Xark makes his shadow to control his body and the others that were caught in this gravity field. "Saddly she has no effect on my power. Gravity cant effect darkneses." He uses the shadows to move the others out of the field. "And now for you, missy." Xark melts into a shadow and dashes across the floor and follows her. "I never let a prey get away from me!"

What the hell was going on? The Oblivion Pirates had no proof of her actions and The Fiend had no reason to join in. It seemed this was just a bad day. She was brought back to reality by a sharp pain in her left hand. Something had sliced across the back of her hand and had drawn blood. She tried to move her fingers, but it was difficult through the pain. She had to get out of there. Readjusting her own course, Clarisse began to go up steadily, but at an angle. She had researched possible bounties and knew that while two of these people had ranged attacks, they were not renown sharp shooters. If she could get high enough, she'd be able to give them the slip. But first and foremost, she had to do something about the ranged attackers. Right finger now pointing at the area occupied by the two Oblivion Pirates, Clarisse pointed her entire left hand towards the sea as it was too painful to move a single finger of that hand. "Three."

((3x the force of gravity pulls down towards the ocean. Hold onto something.))

Connor realized what was happening. "She manipulate gravity!" shouted Connor at Saru. Connor fired off the most powerful blast of sonic power could, sending him and Saru back and getting away from the gravity. Connor could still see the woman. He fired off a powerful blast slicing sound at what he thought was her face.

((He may be far away, but his attacks do move at the speed of sound))

((Yes, but how well can you aim them over a distance?))

Clarisse saw Connor doing something and sped up her ascent. If she went too high to fast she could get sick, but it was preferable to being dead. As if to confirm her suspicions, the air became turbulent beneath her and a loud noise pierced her skull. Throwing her hands to her ears, Clarisse swore under her breath. As she got higher, it would be harder for any of the pirates below to hit her. It would also be harder for her to attack, but for now she just needed to get away. Clarisse was glad she usually dressed for cooler temperatures. It certainly didn't get warmer as she went up.

While everyone was paying attention to each other they never noticed the shadow Xark was in forming a large circle on the ground right under her. "Gravity,huh? Then its a good thing I can command shadows." Xark forms back out of the shadow and kneels against the circle. The circle glows with dark energy. "The only thing in the universe that can't be effected by gravity is shadow!" He uses the energy from the circle to launch himself into the air like a rocket, right toward her. "Hey leech! Take care of the air situation will you!" "Fine you annoying human host!" The dark mutated part spreeds over Xark's mouth to help him survive the air shortage. He ges past her and gets in front the circle has remand under his feet to act as a anti gravity flooring for him. "Just so you know, the only reason I'm still getting you even though I'm not a part of their crew is, so they let me join. And there is also this habit of mine." He looks at her with only the left eye not mutated. "Once I chose a target to kill I never let them get away from me." Xark dashes at her with his right mutated fist ready to strike.

Being up in the air, Clarisse had no limit in choices of direction to move in. Using her powers she dropped down and to the left, far enough away from Xark for her next move. Right finger pointed at Xark and the other pointed down, she spoke. "I don't suppose you could change you mind? Five." Shadows may not be affected by gravity, but he was no shadow himself. Not to mention there was nothing to push off of to redirect himself. Even if Xark could stay air born with his weight multiplied by five, he'd have to exert himself to give chase again. Clarisse would have smiled as she thought about this, but there was little time for such luxury. Again redirecting herself, she began to move across the sky away from her pursuer.

Even if she couldn't hurt these people now, she could at least make them wear themselves out five times faster. That way they'd have to give up eventually. Today was not looking very good.

"Not So Fast, Prey!" Xark adds more dark energy to the dark circle at his feet. "Blast!" Xark blasts in the direction she went to with more force to counter the extra gravity and reaches her. They both fly next to each other. "Before I do anything, why are you fighting them anyway?" The leech begins to talk, "Why are you talking to the prey?! Just kill her!" "Shut Up!" He looks at her agian. "Well then mind answering?"

Standing by the side lines long enough watch the fighting style of Claresse. running toward her now he put both hands in the air and shouted "grappler!". with his 5x's added weight it would be enough to bring her down or at least stop the flying around. Both chain attached to her feet and Saru held strong. " Ha now you can stop flying around like an annoying little fly."

Connor was an excellent marks man. He could see that Saru's trajectory was off. I have got to make that hit her. He thought for a moment. "Saru! You are going to miss, I'm gonna use a sonic attack to redirect the chain to hit her." He moved next to Saru and concentrated, aiming his open palm at the chain. He released a sonic blast that hit the chain in the perfect and adjusted its course. Connor could see it was going to hit. "We've got her now!"

Xark sees the chain heading in the direction. "Well thats annoying. I wanted to get her." He descends so that he gets out of the way of the chain. "I guess your times up, missy!"

(u could HAVE AT LEAST LET ME DO SOMETHING! )

"Not quite!" Clarisse yelled. Pointing only her right finger at Saru, she spoke with conviction. "Zero." Gripping the chain, Clarisse pulled sharply upwards. The pirate was now weightless so even the slightest tug would pull him along. Whipping the chain back, Clarisse pushed her arm back down, the chain following suit. "Five." Now on the downswing, Saru would be heading at the ground at speeds exceeding one hundred miles per hour. Unless of course he let go of the chain.

Xark takes out one of his black katanas and cuts the chain. He then grabs both end so the gravity effect is cut off but he's in control now. "Your mine now!" He grabs the one that Connor is holding to keep him from hitting the gorund and then yanks Clarisse downward with his right arm, which has alot of strength, and slams her into the ground. "And now to keep you pinned up." Xark wraps and places the black katana through the chain and throws it toward the ground near her. It stabs into the gorund with force so only an inch of the blade and the handle remain out of the ground. So now she is chained to the floor to Xark's black katana. "And just so that you try anything foolish, if anyone besides me touch my Dark Katanas....lets just say you wont be able to "touch" anyhting for a long time."

As she was thrown towards the ground, Clarisse slowed her own fall as to not be harmed. As for being secured to the ground, Xark overlooked a detail. The chain was wrapped around her feet, not tied. Turing quickly, she was able to unwind the chain and escape. The main problem now was the fact she was back on the ground. They obviously weren't just going to let her go so she would have to attack. Fortunately they had been on the receiving end of her power. They wouldn't expect something like what came next. Taking two single belle coins from her pocket, she snapped one in Connor's direction and the other in Saru's. "Five." As they neared their targets, the coins suddenly stood still in the air and drew anything near them crushingly close. Without wasting a moment, Clarisse then turned her right finger to herself and her left at Xark. Repeating the same number, it was her that was sent flying. Putting her arm forward, it became obvious that Clarisse was planning to hit Xark with her arm guard at a frightening speed.

((Due to Clarisse's well ability however, Connor and Saru should effectively be held stationary in the air for thirty seconds if they didn't move. This wouldn't affect their ability to move their arms, legs, or hands though. Thought you might want an explanation as to what that did.))

Xark looks as she dashes in high speed at her and raises his right arm. "Nice try but.." He grabs her arm guard with his right arm and a shock wave forms away from them by the impact. "...you dropped your gaurd at the wrong time." Just then, the chain pops out of a small shadow like gte next to Xark and wraps around her, tieing her up. "Now get back down!" She is yanked through the gate and appears back next to place where the Dark Katana was stabed into the ground. She sees what Xark did, He pulled the other end of the chain through a shadow like gate to make it appear where they were. The after she got pulled through, she ended up there. Xark lands back at the floor and removes the ecircle platform under his feet. "You were pretty good, but its over now. I add some of my dark energy into the chain, so it will have the same features as the shadow it went through. I other words, gravity resistant."

Clarisse was shocked by the surprise attack, but laughed. "Gravity still works on me. Negative five." As she rose rapidly, the chains stayed rooted to the ground for a moment, the recoil winding Clarisse. She gritted through it however as shortly after the anchoring sword was pulled from the ground. Turning upright, the chains tied around her fell off easily. "Gravity isn't that easy to understand Fiend."

"And someone by the name "The Fiend" soudln't be underestimated." The Xark on the ground disolves, it was a clone. Then the real Xark appears behind and suddently grabs her and slams her into the ground. When she gets a look at him she sees that he is covered in an aura od darkness. And the ohter bad thing is that, he grabed her with his right arm. (just incase you havent learned about him, his right arm, when mutated into a largeer monster arm, can absorbe the life energy of anyone of thing it touches) The leech yells, "Let Me Eat Her! Let Me Eat Her!" "Shut up, bug! Now then, as you might have noticed the darkness around me right? I am now one with the shadows. No gravity will work on me so you can't break from me. I wont take your life yet though." He sits down and makes his claw fingers jab ito the ground around her to keep her from even using force to break out. "But if them two pirates there tell me to I just might." The leech yells again, "WHAT?! For Crying Out Loud! Why Can't I Eat Her Life Energy?!" Xark get pissed off, "...one more word bug..and I will kill you. even if it kills me too...Got it?!" ".......fine then..."

"So what is it then?" Clarisse spoke while struggling against the shadows. "Do you just join in whenever a couple of pirates attack someone on the streets?" She kept trying to tell herself that Saru and Connor wouldn't know who moved the mug in the bar, but that would be a distant prayer at this point. At this point all she could hope was that they would let her go. After all, she never even really touched them and they had humiliated her in combat. In all honesty it would be a long while before she tried anything again.

"Nope. I just came looking to join their crew so I decided to help them with what ever was going on here." Xark reduces the mutations to only his right arm. "But I wonder what they will do with you. But you sould be thankfull that I'm still human and dont see a reason to go all out like I allways do against a girl." Xark sits on the ground while still having his right clawed hand trapping her into the ground. Xark lets out a deep sigh."Although I do wish they will hurry, I'm getting boreing just sitting here. I mean its not like we went that far away."

Saru ran as fast as he could to catch up with them but he is not a fast runner. Darn they always have all the fun Saru thought to himself. I hope i get there before they kill her.
