((Ah, that's perfectly fine. Since FD just posted/is ill, Cook's on vacation, and Valaw is gone for the time being, I'd say it's 9th's or Nikz's turn to post if either of them have a chance.))

Dontae looked at the Captain and smiled at her,she never seems to let him down when there in tough situations. Dontae sighs and begins walking to the edge of the beach " Well I guess as the marksmen it's my job to take out the long range targets" Dontae then ends up at the end of the beach and kneels down Dontae does a whistle and the large metal cat come and locked on his shoulder taking the shape of a large cat cannon, Dontae then fires two dozen cannon ball size bullets towards the marine ships...

((Cook is here. He's just not as active as he would be at home. Talking in the third person is fuuuuuuuuun...))

Jace swept Vala up in his arms and sprang onto the ship, setting his crew mate down gently before turning back to the task at hand. The Marines were boarding from one of their vessels. In his hybrid form, it only took Jace a couple of bounds to reach the bottom of the nearest boarding plank. With a roar, Jace seized the plank and flipped the entire thing over along with all of the people on it. He then turned his attention to the next plank.

A man was striding purposefully towards the Marine stroke Pirate conflict going on, a sheathed sword in his hands. He drew his sword, asking, "Is there a problem, here?" If the Marines had no reason to attack, he would strike them. If the pirates were cruel, he'd cut them down. Simple enough.

The sound of an unfamiliar voice caused her eyes to immediately dart towards the source, in case it happened to be someone without their best interest in mind. Although the man didn't appear to be affiliated with the marines, Avis still didn't feel entirely comfortable with the foreign presence.

"That would depend," she replied abrasively, looking over to the stranger with a lack of enthusiasm. "Most people wouldn't have a problem with marines using bounty hunters to lure some outlaws into a trap, destroy their only means of escape, and force them to fight an obscene amount of soldiers directly... Don't all of those marines have somewhere more important to be?"

Feeling cheated about the entire situation, a grimace of slight frustration crossed her face. What had they done to the marines do deserve this amount of overkill? While they did kinda pull the wool over that one officer's eyes and snuck out from underneath his nose on the last island, they never caused him any harm besides that.

The stranger nodded. "Ah. May I ask what the outlaws did wrong?" His allegiance was currently shifting onto the side of the outlaws, thinking that the Marines were being jerkwads. He flipped his sheath so that he was holding it like a sword, the curve following the natural curve of his arm. "I shall pass judgement on those who deserve it."

Avis didn't know whether to be impressed or appalled by the stranger's determined statement. The possibility of having yet another enemy to deal with didn't sit well with her, and her concern was apparent in the way she shifted her weight from one foot to the other, prepared to either retaliate or regroup in a moment's notice. Although the others were probably being kept busy by the nearing marines, a shout could easily reach them if things did go awry.

"Besides flying a flag and having a conflict with some other pirates, I haven't any idea. You might have better luck asking them," Avis responded plainly, pointing one of her fingers in the direction of the marine ships. "If you do get happen to get an answer from them, I would like to hear it.

"And why would I tell you about anything terrible we've done in the first place?" she continued in a skeptical manner. "Unless you plan to do the same, that's a rather unfair standard to hold against someone."

Zuzen had edged back a little, he wasn't too hot about letting any of those soldiers close to him, and was using both his guns at the same time to prevent it, taking cover whenever he wasn't firing.
Somewhere in front of him, Jamil was in the middle of battle, using one of his swords to trike down enemies close enough while throwing knives with the other to prevent the gunmen to even fire their guns at him.
He was, Zuzen had to admit, a better fighter than him. His small stature weirdly helped him, he ducked and dodged and was like a ravaging little whirlwind in his own way.
Suddenly, he heard something behind him and turned just in time to reflect a sword coming down at him with the handle of one of his guns.
He struck the soldier on the head with the other one, and once he had gone down, quickly aimed at his head and fired. Blood splattered up his dark pants, one streak reached his face and made a quite nice decoration on his cheek. It fit his hair... But he didn't even notice any of this over cursing. He had to be more careful!
He could see Ridley talking to some weird man and decided to keep an eye on it. Johan would be pissed if anything happened to her... And that guy looked suspicious.

Sanya nodded. "This'll be fun, then." Sanya flung himself into the fray, wielding his sword and sheath in tandem. He began cutting through groups of Marines. He began hewing through Marines, using his sword to cut through his opponents, and his sheath as a surprisingly efficient shield. "Your point is taken... no one would say that the way you have, unless they really hadn't done anything really wrong. Well... my reputation isn't the greatest... I doubt this'll harm it any significant way."

A genuine and wordless smile crossed Avis' face, as the response she heard pleasantly surprised her. What the stranger said was enough to give reason to believe that he wouldn't be back-stabbing them without reason, and the unexpected assistance was certainly welcome.

Deciding to take care of marines that boarded their ship while Jace dealt with the planks, Avis immediately ran onto the Crisis. While she had made it to their vessel quickly enough to dispatch the first few marines that boarded without much more than a well-timed slash from her sword, it wasn't long before increasingly more of them climbed down from the ropes.

She swiftly delivered a kick to the center of a marine's chest, sending him over the ship's side and into the ocean below with a splash. Another one with the tenacity to charge at her with a sword held above his head was disarmed before falling onto the deck with a bleeding gash across his chest. As her sword became caught in a deadlock with a third marine, Avis couldn't silence a nagging thought in her head. If they were having this much difficulty holding off only three of the marine vessels, this was going one heck of a day.

((What exactly happened to Dynar? He kinda got lost in the chaos.))

Dontae's last attack hit sinking one of the marine ships. Dontae stood up and had a smile on his face " One Down Two to go" Dontae was happy to actualy sink on the the marine ships, before he knew he was surrounded by dozens of marines all pointing swords at him,Dontae held his hands up " Well this can't be good" Dontae grinned and whistled and the giant metal tiger jumped in and attacked the marines surrounding him. Dontae then walked back over towards the ship to see what all the commotion was " Oi captain you got it up there?"

"Come on froggy, you can do it!" Dynar leaped on top of his frog as it rose to the air, taking the fight to the marines. It swooped over a ship, letting out a low croak, resonating through the air into the wood that made up the ship even as its tough hide weathered the gunfire. The mast let out a cracking sound and a split appeared in the deck, ripping and collapsing the cabin. The frog was in its element.

The onslaught of cannonballs Dontae fired would have sunk the ship, were it not for the fact that the ship was already docked. It rumbled lower but got stuck in the docks, wavering from the water filling its lower portions. The marines rushed to abandon the doomed and stuck ship, seeing that crew was unnecessary to a broken ship.

Jace felt a bullet whiz by him, grazing him on the shoulder. He ignored the pain as it was merely one more scratch out of the many he had already received. Seizing a fourth plank, Jace tipped it over, sending the Marines in the water. Even as he turned towards the next plank, Jace realized he would not reach it, at least not for a while. Several dozen Marines were already standing in his way, so the boxer dropped into a fighting pose and threw wild punches, sending Marines spinning in every direction.

Mirage looked at all of the carnage that was going on, and cursed, as he wasn't part of it, and couldn't kill anything. Unless, of course, he decided to join in. This gave the masked pirate a brilliant idea, as he took his one single paddle, and began rowing towards the battle.

"Hehe, if I'm lucky, I might even get to kill some important people!", Mirage said to himself as he paddled as fast as he could have towards the battle scene.

Sanya moved through the crowd of Marines, hacking through their leg tendons and muscles. No reason to kill when you could just incapacitate. He had a few close calls, but nothing serious. These Marine grunts these days... utterly inept.

Mirage grinned as he saw that he was close to land, and was about to pole vault, onto land with his paddle, when he saw Avis fighting and grinned.

"Sweet....I get to meet some ladies and I get to kill some marines...this is the best day of my life.." The masked pirate says as he gets into postion to pole vault onto land. So Mirage manages to pole vault him self on some land, as he screams loudly

"Its killing time!!", Mirage roars as he takes his sword out, but before he charges at the marines, he sees Avis and grins underneath his mask.

"Well, I should atleast try to get a lady, before I start taking some lives.", Mirage says as he jumps on a couple of marine's heads and then using his sword, he lands by Avis and yells
" Hehe, is it killing time for you too?", Mirage asks as he keeps his sword by him, just incase any marines should try to sneek up on him.

"Although I'm not lucky enough to have a portable cannon like some, you worry too much. I'd be more concerned about the others," Avis said in response to Dontae, finally gaining enough advantage in her sword-shoving match to push the marine away a distance.

The sudden shout elsewhere was enough to cause Avis to flinch in surprise, as she was expecting to turn around and see some marine able to make their untimely demise a reality. While the loud man didn't appear to be affiliated with the marines, she was still quite relieved that he was a decent distance away from her or any comrades to cause them any harm. Her relief was short lived however, and she quickly adopted a look of mild horror as he suddenly landed on top of some unsuspecting marines near her.

"What gives?" Avis snarled, rather peeved that someone decided to jump in when she was doing perfectly fine handling the marines herself. "I could care less if it's 'killing time' or not. Go find your own mob of marines to beat up, this one's already taken!"

"That hurt...but not as bad as I'm going to hurt these marines..and I don't advise you to try and stop me. When people try to stop me, they usually end up ...well just say, not good..", Mirage says with a grin, as he forms a blade out of his arm, and points his blade down to kill the marines, that he landed on.

"Hehe, oh man..its been a long time, since I hve gotten to kill..so many people to kill so little time..", Mirage said as he held his arm back, ready to strike, the marines.

Dontae smiled as he heard his captains comment he then jumps onto the ship and saw his captain talking to some new comer, but then his smile turned into a frown " I suggest you take your threats elsewhere if you know what's good for ya" Dontae said as he slowly walked up behind Avis...

Mirage killed the marines, that he had landed on, as he got up, and glared at Avis and Dontae and begans to speak.

"..I guess I should have explained myself better. I'm Mirage, you probably don't know me, but I am a pirate, just like you two, and I only made the threat, because you see, I have an obsession with killing, I see it as almost like a art style, really..so forgive me, that I threanted you. I don't come to get into a fight with you and your friends, I only came to kill. So in a way, I'm helpi- oh hold on a mintue, " Mirage stops as he stabs one of the marines in the head as he was still barely alive. " I guess I just do it in a more efficent way. So..may I be on my way, to kill more marines then?"

Mirage finished as he took his blade out, and turned his arm back to normal, as he brought out a bottle of whiskey, and turned around, as he lifted up his mask, and took a swig of his whiskey. He then put his mask down, and turned back around.

"So, *hic, what do *hic, ya *hic say?"

"I say you all shut up and keep fighting!" Jace roared at his comrades, who had stopped to talk to some...random stranger. Jace had been forced to dive in front of a group of Marines who were trying to take advantage of the fact that his allies were distracted. Now, he had a sword through his left shoulder and his left arm was hanging limply at his side. "Or have you forgotten?" Jace continued. "We're kind of under attack at the moment."

A slight sulk could be seen on Avis as she realized that Jace was probably right. Fighting against anyone except the marines was probably a waste of effort, but she wasn't particularly keen on letting this second stranger do whatever he felt like.

Disgruntled and conflicted, she didn't have enough time or patience to deal with the matter at the moment. "Fine... But don't even think about stepping a single toe out of line, or I'll be all over you when you do," Avis retorted, following Mirage from a short distance behind.

She wasn't entirely convinced that this person who introduced himself as Mirage had their best interests in mind, but they didn't have much of a choice in the matter. They didn't exactly have manpower to spare. Although Jace had done an admirable job at keeping marines at bay, it wouldn't be fair to expect him to do it for any longer.

The wound looked serious enough to cause her some concern, so Avis then removed the cloth sash around her waist and tossed it in Jace's direction while the marines were preoccupied with Mirage's attack. Dynar was on a roll with Ryo, and there wouldn't be enough time for a full treatment even if the two weren't busy already.

"Use that as a bandage for now; I'd rather not have to worry about someone dying of blood loss while we wait for Dynar to fix you up. Dontae, focus your fire on that middle ship... If we're lucky, it might take out the captain onboard it as well.”

Don't you want me to kill these marines?" Mirage asked, as a lucky marine hit him upside the face with the butt of his gun, exposing some of what appeared to his jawbone. Mirage quickly looked at Avis, and pulled his mask down, and stabbed the marine 10 times over, for knocking his mask slightly off.

"Nobody, and I mean nobody touches my mask..", Mirage says as he gives the rest of the marines, a death glare.
