Serious: The Dire Desperados Ch 3 - Time to Relax and Reload (Closed)

Dontae sighs and scratches his head he does a back flip and dodges the cleaver and then fires two bullets that collided into each other right before it hit the girl and created a huge shockwave strong enough to knock the girl back....

Naito was easily keeping up with the opponent's speed as a barrage of dinosaur palms were sent at him but each hit was incomparable in strength as the swordsman had his feet drag backwards each hit he blocked.
With a swift crouch he evaded another palm and sidestepped to the side dodging another and with the momentum gained from the evasion he jumped high in the air acrobatically then came down with great speed and his sword pointing downwards to stab through the head of the purple woman.

Killua moved his eyes trying to look for the hidden fishman who was somewhere in this area. Killua then looked around for details , any anomalies any thing that stood out. Killua was trying to remain alert as well as see how the other fights were going.

The man used his power again, but apparently, while a thrown stump was fully resisted, two full-fledged sword strikes were not fully deflected. Though the weird shell the bounty hunter had created around himself took the brunt of the attack, the blades dug through, leaving cuts on his hips. He had been too close to dodge, and jumped back, only to feel the broken blade in his back, and took a sidestep instead, keeping his weapon trained on Avis.

The half giant leaped, aiming to kick the frog in the chin and in fact, succeeded throwing him backwards as Dynar took to the air under his own power and sent a volley of bullets careening towards the giant. The bird was slowly getting up as the half giant tried to block or redirect the bullets with his hands. However, a few shots got in with the half giant being unable to dodge midair. The frog flew backwards, but got his bearings together and looked on from behind Dynar who had just caused a few wounds to the giant of a man.

The red haired girl threw another pair of hammers at Valaxvedit, knocking him square in the head twice before the hammers bounced back to the girl's hands. Valawxedit, being already injured, was easily knocked out by the dual assault. The girl was about to run in for a follow up, but noticed her opponent had already been defeated. "Aww, how disappointing." She noted, looking around for another foe.

The blonde landed and angled her cleaver precisely to deflect on bullet and swiftly moved to the side to dodge the other, causing them to not hit each other. Then she sprinted, aiming once more to strike Dontae in the gut with a pair of cleaver slashes.

The man jumped backwards, extending the palm with the small object, fully taking the punch in it. Then he spun around, holding his staff from one end and aiming to strike him hard in the head with it. He didn't want to reveal all his advantages now, and didn't use the dial again yet.

There was a slight distortion, as if the surface of the deck was wavering. It was moving, as if circling Killua and trying to get behind him. This was a tricky opponent indeed.

The woman turned into full beast form once more, and angled her head towards the stab, letting her neck plates take the attack. The blade crashed through the plates of bone, but it didn't hurt her. There were no nerves there. Just hard bone plate. Then, she tried to leap back, trapping the sword in her plate, trying to disarm her quarry.

His punch was stopped! Jace dropped down to the ground and he almost didn't dodge as his opponent swung his staff around at him. However, Jace did manage to duck down and the weapon swept over his head, brushing through his fur. Jace came back up aiming a powerful uppercut at his opponent's jaw.

"Sky Splitter!" Jace roared.

That didn't work as well as she was hoping. Instead of causing a fatal wound, Avis' slashes simply left cuts on his side. It was hardly the effect she was expecting, and she shook her head with a sigh of disappointment. If she wanted to have this fight end anytime soon, she was going to need more firepower. Ironically enough, a canon was conveniently located a short distance away. Avis saw this and smirked, revealing some intentions of questionable repute.

The only problem was that one of the bounty hunters had beat her to its location, although the girl appeared to be distracted and simply looking around. Avis' attention temporarily changed from the man to the red-head, and she rapidly raised a sword above her head before swiftly bringing it back down again, sending a sharp blade of air hurdling towards the possibly unsuspecting female hunter.

Her broken blade didn't remain stationary while this was happening, but attempted to stab at the man's back once more in hopes of distracting him long enough for Avis to get a solid hit on his ally.

Killuas eyes moved and then spotted the distortion. It was really the faintest of tricks, and if he even dared to miss even for a second, he would miss his chance for good. Killua arm then became surrounded by sparks of electricity, and Killua dashes forward "STRIKE LIKE LIGHTNING!!!" A slash aimed at the distortion he spotted.

Dontae easily avoided the attack by turning to the side, he then comes around with a power kick delivered to the side of the blond girls face, Dontae then used one of his gun to shoot two bullets at the girl as he delivered his kick...

valawxedit was bearly councious but still councious then said to the red haired hammer girl "why look for someone else when you havent finished with me?" valawxedit shot a pistol round at her

Naito was awfully surprised by the counter attack which was successful. The swordsman's sword was taken away from him by the monster lady while he was tossed rolling away from her.
The look out was finally able to stand on his feet and he felt a great urge to destroy.

"Give me back my katana or I will slaughter you." He said with the tone of death itself.

The man turned to knock the broken stump of a blade to the side with his own katana. It appeared adrenaline was blocking out the pain from the bleeding wounds in his hips. What is this power? He wondered inside his mind as Avis directed an attack at their shipwright.

The massive man glanced at his captain, as the pelican wobbled to a flight, landing on his hand. The giant was resistant, hardly bothered by the bullets now in his body. They likely hadn't reached very deep. Dynar kept on shooting, but only left holes in the deck as the man jumped to the side. He didn't throw the bird again, but let it float to the ground as he jumped to attack the reloading Dynar. However, the greater fighter of the duo flapped its wings once to get in the way, stopping the attack with its shoulder. The man flipped back down as Dynar aimed guns.

The red haired shipwright somersaulted to avoid the bullet, but sprang bak to dodge the air wave. "How..." She exclaimed, before shaking her head slightly, and running for the door to belowdeck. She kicked it, breaking the door clean of its hinges and sending it flying to the bottom of the stairs. Then she jumped the whole way down. Obviously, there was something else to this. The woman wasn't weak by any measure. She wouldn't be scared of a confrontation.

The woman crossed the meat cleaver like blades to block the kick. She looked as her colleague dodged the ranged attacks, kicked in the door and jumped in. They were close. She attempted to strong-arm Dontae's kick to the side by making a sudden move with the cleavers, trying to follow that up with a slash to the side at chest level.

The man leaned backwards to avoid the uppercut, causing it to whiff in front of his face. He threw a punch at Jace's stomach, though he didn't expect to deal that much damage. The half bear form was too resilient to be damaged seriously by one of his punches. He wasn't that monstrously strong after all. However, his tricks might get him a victory, and at least keep this going long enough.

The distortion rose up, shifting into the form of the octopus fishman, who swiftly raised up a defense, trying to block the punch with his arms. "This would be. The punch, despite hitting his crossed arms, slammed them to his torso and threw him back, and assaulted him with sparks. He flew back and nearly fell, but caught his balance at the last moment. He gathered air. "This would be a commendable effort if it mattered." He repeated and walked forth drawing back his arm, aiming a punch at Killua's head. "Too bad it's all for naught." The punch had dealt considerable damage, even through the guard. If his opponent had this kind of power, he couldn't mess around or he might not survive until the event. He punched, throwing his weight in the strike to make it deal as much damage as possible.

The woman turned hybrid, the sword still stuck in her neck shield, and grabbed the blade. Then she turned human, the neck shield disappearing, and the blade suddenly not being stuck to her. She held Naito's sword in one hand. "Oy. Why should I." She said with her accent still going strong "I 'ave disarmed you. Why should I relinquish my advantage?" She held the sword to the side, ran at him and threw a jumping vertical kick at Naito's head.

Ships were piling up on the horizon, though their allegiance was still slightly unclear to those not with spyglasses. However, they were all of the same type. Several ships. This profile matched the marines and as they approached, the insignia on the main sails were becoming visible, vessel by vessel. The marines were coming.

valawxedit saw where his opponent was going and thought what a coward cant even finish a battle he started his wings up and flew after her entering the ship following her as she came into clear few he let go of the wall he was using for support then threw three vials of chemicals (two acids and one seawater) stumbling around

The girls attack seemed to have caught Dontae off guard she delivered a nice clean cut to Dontae's side in a quick reaction to the pain of the cut Dontae jumped back and grabbed his side as the blood squirted out of the cut " Dammit" Dontae looked at the girl and then at the sky he stared up at the sky for a moment,then sheath his two pistol' without looking back at the lady he then pulled out his shotgun looks at the women and sighs " You are one tough lady but I'm not gonna lose here" Dontae then points his shot gun in the air and fires three big bullets that split into hundreds of smaller bullets then he tosses his shot gun in the air and spins around unsheathing his two pistols and shot to bullets in the air that burst into flame as the smaller bullets passed threw the fire the caught a flame making it look like raining fire, Dontae quickly sheathe his pistols and catches his shotgun as it landed "Rain of Fire"

Watching the girl smash down the door of the ship with hostility, Avis snarled and her grip tightened on the hilt of the sword. Was knocking the door completely off its frame really necessary? Taking care of the red head would have to wait until she was done finishing the man before her, whom she deemed as the larger threat.

Luckily for her, the partial blade dangling in midair was enough to distract him temporarily and turn his back on her. Not so luckily, he smacked the blade clear out of the range she could use her fruit in moments later. The distraction served its purpose, though, and Avis wasn't about to let it go to waste.

Running a few steps to accelerate, she then leapt in order to gain a more advantageous, aerial angle. The two blades were brought above her head before viciously slashing downwards at his back, putting her weight and momentum behind the strike. Since using trying to use her head wasn't working particularly well at this point, she was was going to smash him apart with brute force and win that way instead.

Since the power behind Jace's punch launched him into the air a few feet, he could not dodge the punch. It hit him in his lower gut area, and since he could not even brace himself, it knocked him back a couple of feet. One of Jace's feet shot down, striking the ground and bringing him to an almost immediate stop. He used that same foot to kick off, shooting himself back at the winged man within a second. As he was doing all this, Jace pulled his arms back to his sides. He thrust out with both of his fists at the winged man's chest.

"GRAND SLAM!" Jace roared.

Killua was cursing silently because Strike like lightning was not sucessful in crushing the fishman. Killua then used as still as water and got his bearings wrong. His foot slipped as the punch came from the fishman. Killua tried to block it but the timing was too off. He got hit straight and flew backwards.

The man replied in kind, going for force in lieu of intelligence. He took a stance and took the attacks with his blade, immediately pushing against Avis' attacks. However, Avis had gravity on her side, and the man was pushed back, even though the blade was positioned so as to block the attacks. He tried to slash to the side to force Avis to the side.

I need to get this guy off the ship. Dynar thought, glancing at his frog. This fight would end the moment his opponent got a good hit in. The bird was getting better, and was thrown by the man. It was aiming straight for the frog. Dynar jumped off and fired at it, but the bird moved to avoid each bullets while staying on course. The frog moved a second too late, and got
a beak embedded in its chest. A loud *croak* was heard as Ryo was hit, but such a large creature wouldn't be felled so easily. It grabbed the bird and threw it at the beach, flying after.

"Where is it? Where is it?!" The red haired girl repeated frantically as she leaped aside to avoid the vials, moving to another room. She looked around briefly, and noted a wooden pillar in the middle. She advanced towards it, hefting the maul she was holding. She struck.

"Neither of us needs to." She said as she threw up her apron, and jumped back in a flip, shielding herself momentarily as she avoided the rain. "My friend is nearly done." She had apparently switched to exposition mode. "Then, you don't need to lose. Only your crew." She was apparently waiting for attack now.

The winged man stepped forward in a block, and the fists hit his block. However, the force was way too much, and the skypiean was propelled against the railing once more. At the very least, he seemed resilient enough. The man slumped slightly, but got up again, leaning on the staff.

The fishman didn't bother to finish Killua off. "We have won." He said, looking toward the sea. It spelled doom to the Dire Desperados. The fishman turned towards Jace. His friend seemed to not be doing so well in the fight. "Dane!" He ran at Jace, but stopped as he heard the speakers.

The Marine ships were very close now. Escape seemed nigh-impossible. "Dire Desperados!" A marine officer shouted from the frontmost vessel. "You are surrounded and defeated! Come peacefully and save us the trouble of taking you down the hard way!"

valawxedit heard what the marine said and thought (NO Im Not going to be murdered and why should i im not apart of this crew i will help them as much as i can after i take my leave) valawxedit as he was fighting no one and he could make good get away so he made his way to the door as fast as he could then started to fly away giving the ship and all the crew a salute.

"Come quietly?" Jace repeated. He chuckled, the sound coming out more like a growl then laughter. "If I lose to the likes of you, how will I be respected by the people of this world? I've got to much at stake to lose now!" With a roar he flung himself at his opponent once more. "GREATEST IMPACT!" Just before he would have reached his opponent, Jace punched the ground, sending out a shockwave that would knock his opponent over if it connected.

Unable to react quickly enough, Avis was tossed to the side. Her momentum was enough to cause her to skid on her side for a short distance on the cold, frost-hardened surface. The tumble wasn't enough to cause much damage at all, and she was able to stand back up within moments of hitting the ground.

Temporarily leaving her swords to suspend in midair, she took a moment to readjust the belt at her waist. So what if these bounty hunters didn't turn out to be push-overs like she thought. That didn't mean she had to be impressed by them. What she was more impressed about was the fleet of marine ships that just happened to conveniently appear... Maybe a bit too conveniently for her liking. It only took a few moments for the gears in her head to click into place before she blamefully pointed a finger at the leader of the hunters they were facing.

"This is all your doing, isn't it?!" Avis snapped, before turning to the marine captain that addressed them with a huff, flailing her arms with irritation. "And you there, the one sitting atop his pretty little ship with enough men to trample a modest-sized town with: I refuse, and we'll deal with you as soon as we're done with these people! Just wait your turn like your mother taught you, alright?"

"Killua!" she then hollered, "Do you think we have enough time to get the ship out of port and gain a better angle? Facing all of them head-on is the last thing we want to do!"

Killua got up. He was really pissed off at the fact that he missed the chance to beat down that fishman. He then said "The wind isnt on our side captain... its blowing the other way. But if you buy me time, i could maybe get us to the right current, but thats all about luck, its a lot of stalling against those marines!!!!" Killua regained his footing and kept steady, part of him wanting to chase down that fishman, but he didnt bother. He knew he had a job to do.

Dontae sighed " Well that there is another problem if my crew loses that means I also lost" Dontae scratches his head and groaned he then jumped into the air and fired two bullets at the women the bullets burst into smoke before they reached her and the field was covered in smoke Dontae then pulled out his shotgun and shot two big bullets that burst into hundreds of smaller ones " Lets see you dodge when you can't see" the bullets begin to fall down like rain harder and harder...

((Yeah, it'd be appreciated if you could post when you have the chance FD. We'll have to go on without Spades unless he pops up and says otherwise. I don't believe we're waiting on anyone else, or are we?))

"Don't refuse, you're not alone here!"
"Zuzen! Quiet!"
The voices sounded highly irritated, the one that had spoken first even more so.
"But you're louder that I am!"
An angry huff followed, and then silence.
"Zuzen..."
"Yes?"
A short silence again.
"Go check what's going on."
Someone gasped for air. One could basically hear them glaring at their partner angrily.
"No way!...Agh!"
Zuzen stumbled out of their hiding, pushed by his own partner, who followed a bare second later, his hood dragged deep into his face. Still, the very badly burned lower half was visible.
"Who ever said thy would be left alone?"
One black eye inspected what was going on. So did two blue ones.
Jamil spotted Avis first and settled for glaring at her from beneath his hood. Zuzen waved happily.
"Hey! Miss Ridley! Jamil, it's miss Ridley! The one the captain..."
A burned hand covered his mouth.
"Zuzen, fod gods sake!"
Zuzen looked at him, confusion in his eyes. Then he said, sounding muffled:
"Hm forry."
And Jamil let go of him.
Once his mouth was free again, Zuzen started talking.
"Well, anyway, how's it goin? ....Oh, stupid question..."
