Holding up three fingers, Vince was facing Nishki but seemed to be addressing everyone.

"Given that he reacted fairly quickly to the gas, I'd say he took in not much more than circa 200 µl, which is double ED-50," the Rear Admiral continued. "So...assuming average rate of metabolization...three minutes."

Turning back to the fight in progress. Given that they were both his crewmates now, it hardly seemed fair to cheer for one or the other; the remaining combatant might feel sad. Not sure what else to do, Vince remained perfectly still, watched the match, and left cheering to the others.

((Well the thing is, i was not so sure what you were doing with your earlier post, you focused on sound correct? so the sound was the opposite of what you heard, if you focused on vision, the vision is opposite of what you see. So in that case, focus on one and hit the opposite of it))

(What I did in my earlier post was this: Tero heard Kite talking, so he used a soru to speed up and jumped in the opposite direction of the sound and he swung his sword down in the direction. So if anyone was there, he should have at least ran into them if not cut them down.)

((Basically, I think Nik is saying the poison effects the inversion of sound and sight separately, so basing the direction you attack off of the opposite of the direction you believe you heard him from is not as effective as attacking the area opposite from where you currently see him. I'm presuming that the inversion is based on you as the center axis for both planes; in this case, he'd be an equal distance from you, but 180 degrees away.))

((yes, speak explained it perfectly, but if you would like James, we can make it simple, everything is just opposite, i just added complesx effects so you could have your wish of not having a easy fight, so you want to go from the point where you swinged the sword to the opposite direction?))

((I dunno if that would be fair. Even if I had known that then, I don't see how Tero would have figured that out. It's not something a person would just figure out. We should probably just go from where Tero gave up and continue the story as is.))

Grey observed the battle, he did not tolerate the lack of competition in his teammates. He decided to speak his mind in a wild attempt to cheer up his comrade. Though truthfully, Grey was a rude and cold man, his attempt might have the opposite result. Grey spoke," Tero whatever, don't give up. If this was a battle to the death, you would be in high water right now. Listen, I'm not going to give you any advice, but you might encounter worst situations in your future. It might be wise to face them. My comrade Kakura was injured, he still battled until he could not anymore. Do not fall into the desire of surrender, FIGHT UNTIL YOUR LAST BREATHE!" Grey displayed an emotion of irritation while he was talking, he didn't like quitters, and certainly didn't like someone like Tero surrendering.

From the medical center, Jissly still sat there gazing at the tactical battle taking place, all Tero had to do was think in order to escape this situation.

Tero looked over at Grey. He sighed.

"You see the truth, and yet fail to understand," he said solemnly. "As you yourself pointed out, this is not a fight to the death. We are merely battling one another for the fun of it. I do not see battle as 'fun'. When I fight, I fight for one reason only: To kill. It is what I am best at. If this was a real battle I would not surrender. I would rather stand here and allow my opponent to cut me to pieces before running away. In fact, that is what I planned to do here, but then I realized that would be pointless. I would simply gain near fatal wounds before I collapsed or someone force me to quit. Then I would spend the next few months recovering. Now, I ask you: Do you have a good reason for me to fight this man? Because I do not." He finished and stared at Grey, or rather what he thought was Grey. In fact he was staring in the completely wrong direction.

Grey answered his question," Tero you are a special one indeed. You asking me that question tells me that you do not give into the sin of 'pride'. It also make me think that you share my opinion that ranks do not matter. I guess this indeed was a competition for fun or it was for showing your skills to your comrades. Before you partook in these fights I possessed zero knowledge in what you were capable of. Unfortunately, I assume you still possess skills I don't have knowledge of. Though if you quit now, you won't have the chance to face Rear Admiral Calamity. No offense Kite, but Rear now knows about this gas. You said yourself it was unwise to face Tero in a one on one battle, Rear Admiral Calamity is much more fearsome. Your gas would not be a surprise, an easy win for Calamity I assume......Though Tero! I would love to see you fight Rear Admiral Calamity, that would be a competitive fight for me to see. Im going to face two Captains soon, would it be beneficial if you faced a Rear Admiral in this tournament?" Grey's words turned from motivation to a simple suggestion. Grey didn't want to waste his time, he wanted to see the true power of his comrades for future endeavors. He looked at Tero with a grin, the semi finals was going to be something Grey wanted to remember.

"No, I don't think it would be too beneficial for me," Tero replied. "And I'm not here to fight for your amusement. Now, can someone help me get away from the middle of the deck? Or better yet, get an antidote? I'm kind of stuck here."

Nishki then gets the medical team to group around Tero and take him to the medical chamber. Nishki then sighed "Ok very well then.... so next battle is Grey vs MARY!!!!"

Mary came out in front preparing herself for the fight, Tero was the first huge favorite to exit this early, but now she had to face Grey who Nishki had warned her earlier, power wise he was equal to a commodore.

Grey took slow steps approaching the battlefield. A feeling of confidence in his eyes, accompanied by a narcissist grin. Grey stood in his place awaiting for his opponent to arrive. Captain Mary, to him was rather a task. He thought of what Tero said earlier, he found it rather disappointing that he didn't decide to continue fighting. He really wanted to see what Tero was going to do against the gas. Though the battle lingered in disappointment. Grey did not possess his sword like the first round, so he was not fighting with his full arsenal. He preferred fighting free, without the accompaniment of a heavy weapon.

"I'd like to fight the poison user, personally," Vince stated, pointing a finger at his mouth. "Especially if he has more of that delicious F-30 hanging around..."

Staring out at the field, he watched the two opponents stand still as they debated whether or not Tero should forfeit. It seemed a waste to him; he was, at a glance, the more skilled of the two. A swordsman, too...If there was something Vince missed, it was a chance to spar with a fellow swordsmen. There had been none at the science division.

"Of course, it'd be nice if Tero stood and fought, too." He held up one finger. "By my count, there's only one minute until the poison wears off, with all this talk taking up the time..."

Nishki then said "Ummm Vince, that match is over and your match with Kite will only happen if you beat Jissly...... now its Grey vs Mary.... who do you think will win Tali....." He squeezed Talitha slightly tighter in his arms.

Mary then said "Never thought i would fight you Grey.... this should be interesting........ soru!!!!" Mary dashed foward with soru and appears before Grey and then used shigan aiming for Greys shoulder. She wasnt going to hold back.

"You ask me..:"
Talitha gave both contestants a long, thoughtful look.
"No clue. But I'm gonna beat them anyway."
Had to if she wanted to win this. And damn, did she want to.

Nishki laughed out loud at Talithas response "That's the most neutral answer you can give........... but you know Tali if you are promoted that would be interesting view of things........"

"Oh, I was living in the past. Sometimes, I think so long and hard on things that I think backwards, and when I'm done thinking it's before I started thinking."

Vince held up his hand.

"No such thinking is possible."

Watching Mary dart towards Grey, taking such a strong offensive, Kalamity ground his horrid yellow teeth against the metal pate of his mouth, making an irritating screeching sound. He stopped after a while, much to the gratitude of the many nearby ratings who wished he'd never started.

"It's a very close match up, I feel like..." Kalamity leaned in towards the Vice Admiral and the woman in his arms. "I'll put my money on Mary, all the same. Something tells me she's more..." the Rear Admiral sighed, a pale white fog with the sickly sweet smell of slow death seeping from his mouth.

"...more determined, chrah hrah!"

That guy was an insult to all her senses. Her eyes started tearing and her nose was burning from the smell, her ears felt like they'd start bleeding any second from the horrible sound of his... teeth... and voice! Yeah right! He was a disgusting, bad person, and she wouldn't let him have the pleasure of defeating her in anything.
"On second thought, my money's on Grey! Go Grey!"
She still had no clue who really was better, but as long as it was the direct opposite of what Kalamity wanted, she would go with it even if it meant sacrificing her soul to the devil!

Nishki laughed again "Your so fickle Tali....... but , well the thing is Mary is not usuallly a hands on fighter...... she is more........ of a tactician..... that has always been a issue with her........ well still she is smart, so i guess there is a reason as to why she is attacking.

Nishki felt Talithas warmth as he held her closer. He wasnt going to let her go anytime soon, it had been a while since they had been intimate.

Grey grinned as his body twisted to the left avoiding the blow. He rather enjoyed Talitha putting her money on him and not her own fellow teammate she has known for a long time. Though Mary was the first opponent who knew Rokushiki in this tournament that Grey has encountered. The use of shigan and soru was a dead giveaway. Grey immediately headed for a spiraling kick with his right leg to Mary's midsection. He wanted to test out what she was going to do next, a simple move moving at an average of 20 mph was a perfect start."The same goes for you...Though I have never seen you fight, this should be interesting."

Mary used her palms to try and block the kick but was slammed backwards. She didnt fall, she backflipped back onto her feet at last she didnt suffer any major damage yet. Mary then looked left and right , and then proceeded to use soru to the left side of Grey, she wasnt holding back , she used shigan madara launching many shigans straight at Grey, aiming for his legs , arms and chest.

As the woman ran towards him and struck her fingers in his direction. Grey yelled,"DALIA!" His body resembling that of a stoic statue. The fingers colliding with his hardened flesh. Grey did not flinch, the pain felt like a mere irritation to him. With his left hand, reinforced by Dalia, Grey pushed his palm aiming at the chest of his foe. Backed up with enough force to blow back his opponent. Honestly, he forgot his opponent was a woman at the mere instance.

Mary fel back again this time coughing blood. She landed on her knee and looked up again. She was panting heavily "Thats a new trick Grey........ well your not the only one....." Mary pulled something from her pouch. It looked like wires. She then spread the wires and began using soru and jumping around the place.

Tero's normal vision returned with shocking speed. One moment he had been staring at a wall, the next he could see the wall he had thought was behind him. For a moment he didn't understand what was going on, but then he realized that he must have just been facing the wrong direction this whole time. Tero smiled slightly. So that's how the gas worked. He had guessed this already, but after attacking the opposite way from where he had heard something, Tero had figured that everything hadn't just been flipped. Maybe the gas had affected all his senses in different ways. He would have to look it up some time.

Tero stood up and stretched. Now that he was out of the tournament, he could do something else...like train. Then he winced when he remembered what Talitha had yelled at him during his fight. Not only had he not finished the battle quickly, he had lost the battle altogether. So he was fairly certain that he would be clocking some hours in training over the next few days, whether he liked it or not. So that was off the list of things to do. Maybe he would just lie low here for a while and when they got to Marine HQ, he could just slip away when Talitha wasn't looking. In any case, he was going to find a way to get on land, no matter what the captain said or did. Tero headed back upstairs, sneaking onto the upper deck. He headed to a quiet spot near the back of the ship to watch the ocean while he waited for them to arrive.
