Nishki then looks up "Well then, that was something i did not expect, ok so now the next match is Kite vs VINCE!!!!, COme on down!!!!"

Kite did not know who this new guy was , or what his powers were, but luckily he had saved a bit of F-30 left over, he stood waiting in position for the Rear Admiral.

Talitha was still angry, very angry that Tero lost. Not the kind of "I'm gonna kill you" anger, but a pouty anger.
"Nishkiii..."
She looked at him over her shoulder.
"I think I'll have to give Tero that extra training now... What a bummer, I don't really..."
She looked at the contestants.
"Oh damn it, who am I supposed to cheer for?"
It wasn't like her to ask taht, but well, this was a really hard decision.
Kite defeated Tero, but Kalamity was.... Kalamity.
Hard. Really, really hard.

Nishki held Talitha closer "Dont be sad, Tero is just going through a phase, im sure, besides, if you want to go and console him , you can go ahead Tali if you want. Ill be waiting right here when your done, besides, i doubt you will miss much of this match anyway, it will be a very smelly affair i guess."

Talitha laughed. A short, very short laugh.
" Yes, I guess it will. Hm..."
She would have to fight the winner... Hopefully it was... no, it'd better be... Her head found the question too hard, so it changed the subject back to Tero.
"I guess I'll let Tero off the hook for now. I really wanna see this. I mean, I'm gonna fight the winner after defeating Mary. Better prepare."

Vince stood still for some time after Nishki's announcement, seeming to the onlooker as if he hadn't even heard him. As Kite made his way to the field, a nearby rating decided to politely inform the Rear Admiral that he'd been addressed. The very instant he had opened his mouth, however, the unwholesome cyborg marine began walking into the ring.

"At your pleasure, Chujo."

Standing a short ways from his opponent, Vince tightened his visible jaw muscles in what one could assume would have been a smile if there was flesh left to be actuated into smiling. He held up his hand at chest height, either in greeting or to indicate the punchline to one of his awful jokes.

"I would be interested to know, Ensign Kite," Vince grated, his voice sounding as casually conversational as one coming from a man with scorched vocal cords could, "if you have any more of that F-30 handy."

Pausing for a moment, his jaw slackened.

"Of course, I don't suppose you'd tell me either way." Curling all but his index finger into the center of his hand, Kalamity pointed skyward.

"Look up there, please, Ensign."

Kite was not going to answer, and he wasnt too sure if he wanted to look up either. He wasnt going to fall to any tricks, not after he managed to beat both Tero and Keitaro at once. He then began the release of te F-30 poison with his gas mask on "I dont know what you are, but im going to beat you here, welcome to opposite world!!" Kite dashed foward with his blade to cut down Vince.

Vince stood, motionless, finger still pointed up as the gas seeped out over the deck and filled the area around them. His arm reached for his double-bladed sword and he began looking around wildly, apparently searching for his enemy.

"You...wait, Ensign, where did you go...? Why aren't you there anymore?"

Suddenly, Vince jumped into the air and spun one-eighty, landing with his back to Kite. He stared at the cabin of the ship, shaking slightly and generally looking extremely unsettled by the entire thing. He continued to look from side to side, as if uncertain that he could really tell which way he was being charged from.

"This...I don't get it! It's too much...this poison is just too powerful to fight against. I'll lose for certain."

Vince could hear the swing of the sword as it arced down through the air towards his back. Time seemed to freeze for a moment as Kalamity stood, transfixed. A split-second later, a loud and reverberating metallic twang filled the ears of combatants and onlookers alike. Over his own shoulder, one of Light and Moon's two blades had interposed itself between the Ensign's attack and the back of Kalamity's neck, less than an inch before it would have hit.

"No such thing is possible, Ensign." Kalamity's head was bent around, looking over his shoulder, it's one black eye disk balefully and lifelessly boring into the young marine. It was fixed directly on him; it was clear that, somehow, Vince was not seeing everything in opposite.

Hoping to capitalize on his foe's shock, Vince spun about to his right, aiming a full-power reverse roundhouse kick directly at the center-side of Kite's ribs, their swords still locked in parry.

Kite was panicking. How? How was this possible? What was going on? Why was he not affected? Why was he able to break out of the effects of the poison? None of this made sense to Kite.

"HOW? ITS IMPOSSIBLE!!! WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU?!!!!" Kite then decided to hell with it, he was now clashing blades again with Vince and hoping to barrage him with slices. He did not understand any of this at all.

Nishki shook his head "Its clear now, Kite lost his footing, thats the trouble of depending on something, when its gone, you lose your self."

"Oh," Vince stated flatly, parrying the barrage of sword blows casually, his wrist scarcely flicking with each parry. His opponent was fast, fairly strong, had some skill. Unfortunately, he had lost his nerve.

"I'm sorry, but poison won't harm me." Pulling his arm back and parrying one final attack before jumping back a short ways, Vince stood still, sword held verticle, the tip of the lower blade resting on the deck.

"I haven't been in the marines very long," he rasped, his cheek muscles tightening into another of his freaky would-be smiles. "So the name hasn't gotten too far yet. The science division calls me Vince "Toxic" Kalamity. I ate the doku doku no mi, giving me the power to control all of reality."

Pausing a moment, Vince let go of his blade, which remained upright infront of him, and held his hand up.

"No such power is possible," Kalamity informed Kite, snatching his sword back up and launching a charge at the shaken ensign, sword arm drawn back for a big swing. "I am a toxic man."

Kite swore, "NO , this cannot be!! Damn you , DaMN YOU TO HELL!!!!!!" Kite tried to block but it was a weak block that was easily broken, Kiteeyes rolled as the sword slashed his chest. The blood came spurting out as kite fell to the ground, he could not believe it at all, he was in utter shock and dismay. To think that people this strong existed, it was too much, not even the F-30 gas which was his weapon worked. Kite then blacked out completely as he fainted.

Nishki then said "Enough Vince, the battle is over, you have won this fight, THE WINNER IS VINCE!!!"

Stopping dead in his tracks, Vince looked down on Kite and his gaping chest wound. He hadn't meant to cut so deep, but the man was fine nonetheless. The gash was deep and fleshy, bleeding like mad, but hadn't so much as tickled a rib. Hooking Light and Moon back to his belt, Kalamity reached over to touch the laceration.

A pale substance dripped from the Rear Admiral's fingers, flowing over the wound. Standing back to full height, Vince saluted and stood at attention.

"Of course, chujo. The toxin I gave him will make him completely numb for a while, so there will be no pain as he heals. I apologize for going overboard."

Wandering back over to the sidelines, Vince turned and faced the empty circle they'd been using to fight and waited for the last match of the semi-finals to begin and determine his opponent.

Talitha shivered slightly...
"So I'm gonna fight that guy in the finals..."
Somehow, her brain had already excluded her loss against Mary from the possible things that could happen.
The fight had been degraded to something she'd be able to sit through and still win in the end. How to win against that guy was much more important.
"Well C'mon, Nishki. Announce my fight already."

Mary was preparing, it had been some time after she some how grabbed a victory from Grey. She was now feeling nervous, this was her chance, to become a rear admiral, this would be a glorious chance that she would like for a while now. But she was going to have to face Talitha, something she didn't like, she knew Talitha was a amazing fighter, she had seen it before. But Mary had intelligence on her side, and she was going to give it all for this fight. Mary walked on to the deck to the center. Kite was being dragged away.

Nishki then announced "NEXT MATCH TALITHA VS MARY!!!!!" Nishki kissed Talitha for good luck before he let her go and fight. He was not looking foward to watching this, both of them were important to him. Mary was a irreplaceable officer, and one he considered as a sister to him. But he loved Talitha very much and wanted her every dream to come true. Nishki decided rather than think about it , he would just watch.

Talitha just casually strolled to the center of the deck, until she was standing face to face with Mary.
She had her usual grin on her face, though it had been demoted to a smirk. Was she nervous? She noticed she had barely ever seen Mary fight... And damn, she definitely didn't read up on ehr abilities...
Then again, when did she ever? When had been the last time she had known what she was going up against? Easy. There had been no last time.
"Just askin: I guess you won't give up...? Because it would make things so much easier for me..."
She sighed as she changed into hybrid form. She wasn't een expecting an answer.
"...And so much less painful for you."
She charged forward at full speed, keeping low, and extracting her claws. A fast attack from below. She doubted it'd be that easy, but her animal side told her it was a good way to start a battle like this. Talitha always listened to her animal instincts.

Mary was now watching Talithas every movement, take nothing for granted, expect everything. Mary then said "Sorry Talitha, i will not give up here at this point." Mary then watched as Talitha attacked from below, Mary used Geppou, she burst into the sky but remaining on the ship. She then fired two rankyaku at Talitha.

Talitha hissed angrily. Rankyaku? That was mean!
She leaped aside and clung to the mast, evading them. From there, she jumped high, high up above the ship, changing into full lynx form. Mauling Mary... seemed wrong, but a fight is always a fight.

Mary then used rapid geppous in the sky to prople herself around Talitha, to create a mirage of Marys at full speed, like double vision. she was propelling around and then from her position she aimed for a shigan madara at Talitha in mid air. She was not going to lose so easily.

Talitha bended her feline body back as much as she could, sotaht she'd fall towards the deck. One of the fingers missed her snout by inches, before she fell, a great shock for someone depending on it.
When she landed on deck, she changed back into human form. That had been way too bad to let it pass!
"Hey! Ya wanna kill me, or what?!"
Nevermind that she had tried to maul her seconds before...
If she hadn't been able to detect her position by smell, she would most likely have been hit, possibly very, very dead.

Mary then dropped down slowly and then was at some distance away from Talitha, Mary hadnt been talking much. She didnt want to talk in this battle. Nothing needed to be said for her, she was going to hold back, she wasnt going to lose her chance to become a rear admiral on the line. She then pulled out her wires, and spread them around. She used soru and went to random places around the battle area.

"Not... very... talkactive... are..you?"
Talitha was very busy changing forms and keeping far away from any possible wire while trying to guess where mary'd appear next.
It made her head hurt... How was she supposed to keep up here?
Still, she didn't ddoubt she'd win in the end! Of course she would! She would be an admiral, and this was just another challenge she would master!
But this. This really started to piss her off. She growled angrily while jumping away from the mast. Seriously! She was getting angry!

Mary then stood still and watched for a bit, everything was in motion. Everything had been planned out and now she wa finally able to talk "I would not move if i were you Talitha, this place is heavily rigged now. You should just surrender." Mary moved one of the wires, there were trip wire located at different locations, however they all linked to Marys hands, so there were about 10 trip wires, one for each finger. Mary then waited, surely Talitha would surrender.
