Jissly walked to Talitha to help her with Kakura's unconscious carcass. She was concerned about her friend. She observed Talitha's strength, commenting on it," Wow your strong Captain Blythe! Being able to carry Kakura, by yourself." The small 20 year old woman, continued to follow Talitha, insisting on helping her lay down Kakura when they got to the doctors room. [Kakura and Jissly are now NPCS!Again!]

"You're not too bad herself."
Talitha stretched her arms. She wouldn't show it , but... damn, finally someone who called her captain! She liked this one more and more.
"C'mon, don't want to miss the next fight, right?"
This fight had definitely shown her just how important it was to watch the damage you had taken in previous fights.
n her head, she started listing the wounds she had gotten in he fights... and stopped when she realised that she hadn't gotten hit at all...
This was either her lucky day or something really, really bad was about to happen...
She headed back to the deck and stood close to Nishki, arms crossed, waiting for the next fight to begin.

((Could you make this guy a little bit more of a challenge then those other NPCs? It would be kinda cheap for Tero to have an easy ride twice. Besides, this NPC supposedly defeated Keitaro so he shouldn't be all that weak.))

Tero nodded and stepped out on the battlefield. He considered going to his gun to use as a range advantage, but he decided to leave it where it was for now and see what his opponent had to offer. So Tero drew his sword again and dropped into a battle stance.

"Come at me when you're ready," Tero said.

"Looks like I was on the money," Vince stated to Nikshi, watching as Talitha carried her unconscious foe off for some medical care. "If only anybody had actually bet with me, I could go to the cafeteria and buy a nice coffee right now."

"A match well fought, Captain," Kalamity stated to Blythe as she walked over to stand by Nishki as well, taking the Vice Admiral's other side. "Two matches over so fast, with such finesse...what a savage beast we have here, chrah hrah hhrah hraaaah!"

Vince's cackling was like the coughing of a man suffocating in a room full of burning ash, his breath filling the air with the sickly-sweet smell of a hospice ward. His jaw closing slowly, the Rear Admiral focused the unreadable eye-disk on the young captain.

"Nishki-chujo, be careful with this one," Vince stated, turning back to face the area designated as the ring once more, standing perfectly still as he waited for the next match. "It's the wild ones are hardest to tame, chrah hrah..."

Nishki chuckled at Vinces statement "I have no intention of taming captain..... she is the most cutest when she is all fired up like that, Gehahahhahaahahahaaha...... still im glad you won the fight without getting hurt........" Nishki said this as he looked at Talitha, he wanted to pull her closer into his arms and hold her, but he was among the men in the open, and he didnt want to jeopardize Talithas standing with the squad.

Kite was glad he survived the first fight with the cook. Now however he was fighting Tero, but nonetheless he had a plan. He took out a strange looking vial and said "Be warned Sarge.... this will be your downfall......" He then charged foward to cut down Tero.

Tero frowned. A vial? He wanted to know what it was, but thought it would probably be better if he didn't know, so he got an idea. Tero held his sword down at his side and rushed forward, slashing his sword at Kite's right side.

Kite dashed to the left and blocked the parried Teros attack from the right. He then landed on his left leg. He then rush forth and and jumped to slice from above Tero.

Tero brought up his sword to block the swing from above. This was a bad position, he realized. Now he had nowhere to go. Tero released his hold on his sword with one hand and reached out, grabbing Kite's left hand's wrist with his own hand and attempting to crush it in his grip.

Kite then at this range, he retracted his left arm and used his sword hilt to block off Teros grip attempt , he then took out the vial he had in his pocet , at this range he wasnt going to miss, he threw the vial onto Ter which releases a strange blue gas. Kite then jumped back a few steps.

Gas! Tero realized this a second too late and he inhaled some of the gas. Tero held that breath he had taken and stumbled out of the gas cloud.

((So...what does this gas do?))

Kite was now wearing a gas mask he had. Nishki looked slightly concerned. "That gas....... it must be F-30......"

Ensign Kite then began saying "There is no way i can beat you in a fair one on one fight Sergeant...... so i went out of my way to get F-30........ i will not tell you the effect of this gas........." Kite then began swirling his sword around.

No time... Tero thought to himself. With a single soru, he appeared behind Kite, bringing his own sword down in an overhead smash.

Kite then laughed "Just where are you hitting?" Kite was now completely opposite Tero. Everything was in reverse now.

Outside Nishki saw it and then said "F-30 is a gas that affects the victims sense of direction and coordination. Everything is completely opposite to Tero now....... Left is right, right is left, up is down, down is up. Kite is safe, but for Tero, is technically near impossible to get it right......."

She didn't like this.
Tero was her right hand! Her responsibility!
Losing would affect her reputation!
"Hey, what're you waiting for, damnit!"
She shouted angrily. She meant every single word she said so much.
"Kick his goddamn ass already!"

"So now he's behind me..." Tero muttered. He was facing empty air, but his opponent was directly behind him. So that meant... Tero used a soru and spun a full 360 degrees, holding his sword out in front of him as he did.

Kalamity leaned towards the battle, inhaling deeply as a wisp of the F-30 drifted towards the sidelines. His jaw worked up and down a couple of times right after, index finger pressed to where his chin would be if he had one in thought.

"It's got a light, passive undertaste, like a benzoate, with hints of the strength and passion of acetone on the surface. However, it finishes like a diethylamide with an unmistakable airy flavour that conjurs the image of a cool spring evening," Kalamity mused, leaning forward to inhale another drifting thread of the gas. "Certainly a masterful preparation."

Vince thought back to Jissly's venom. It had an earthier, dry taste as do most organic toxins; the headier musk of snakebrew always left him looking for a sweeter taste to follow. The F-30 hit the spot perfectly.

"You should try it," Kalamity stated sharply, turning sharply to face Nishki and Talitha. "It seems a waste to see someone bring such a rare and delicate poison out here and let only Tero sample it."

Talitha turned her head to Kalamity, her angry expression changing, slowly, to a creeped one.
"Nooo, thanks. It's all there for you..."
Creep. He was such a freaky thing. Just looking at him made her shiver and instantly hope that she would never look like that.
Somewhere in the back of her head, something carefully suggested that maybe he was a nice guy and she was just disliking him because of the way he looked.
It was shunned by all other parts of her brain. Being someone working on prejudice alone was so relaxing sometimes.

Nishki held Talithas hand and pulled her into his arms "Did you breath it in Tali?...... be careful ok? That stuff can be dangerous..... and Vince, is there a period for this gas effects to wear off.... i didnt read up on it ........"

For Kite it was too simple, to Tero it now seemed like the world was spinning upside down and Kite was standing on the ceiling. Kite kept twirling his sword "I like the roundhouse sword attempt Sarge..... but im not stupid you know.... this gas is full proof........"

Grey put his hand over his mouth. While his right hand was located on his chest. He continued to pound shock waves of pressure on his lungs to resist the gas. His inhaling process altered, from inhaling specific oxygen in the air and exhaling the gas. Though Grey was not apart of the battle, the mysterious gas started to spread in his direction. The senses of the body, was said earlier to confuse the opponent, almost like a dizzy feeling. When Grey used Blitz(swift soru in a sense), he would become dizzy in battle as well. He observed what Tero was going to do in that specific situation, in order to gain knowledge on how to access the situation himself.


Meanwhile, Jissly watched over her unconscious friend, in the medical chamber of the ship. Jissly still looked out of the door watching the fight from afar.

"Nah, I'm okay!"
Even when in the arms of a man, Talitha still managed to look like she needed no protection from anyone, like she could take on the world all alone. Probably her grin...
Didn't the gas have any effect on Freak McCreeperpants? If so, he sure knew how to hide it.
"But if Tero doesn't kick his butt soon, I'm gonna give him three hours special training a day, starting tomorrow."
She said it so loud that practically everyone on the ship could hear it.

Okay...calm down... Tero closed his eyes. If this gas makes me think everything is in the opposite direction from where it really is...and his voice is coming from there then I'll have to strike HERE! Tero sorued in the opposite direction from where he had heard the sound and brought his sword crashing down on whatever was there.

Kite laughed as Tero missed superbly. "I told you Sarge....all your senses are wayward..... i dont know what you used, but scent, sound, touch..... its all an illusion..........."

Nishki then said "There is a way to beat that gases effects....... though... he will need to think carefully........"

Tero did think carefully, then he said, "So let me get this straight. None of my senses work properly. Any information I receive from them is wrong. In other words there is no way for me to know if what I see, hear, smell, taste, or touch is true. I don't even know if what I thought I heard you say is what you really just said. So even if I did somehow hit you, how would I know I had? I wouldn't. It could all be in my mind. In fact, since I have moved some, I could be in the water drowning right now and not even realize it. There is no way for me to find you and none of my abilities work in a situation like this one. The only thing I could do is go jump on something tall, hope you don't have a gun, and wait until the effects wear off, but once again how would I know whether or not that was true, and not an illusion?"

The only good thing Tero had to go on, was that his opponent had not stabbed him yet. Maybe that would void the effects somehow. Of course, then that would mean this gas was pointless unless Kite killed him with the blow, which of course was not allowed. Still, he would have to submit to be fair because he should have lost the battle. He considered using soru over and over to keep in motion to avoid any attacks, but he would probably fall in the water if he did that. Same with Geppou. It was all to risky. He wasn't about to concede the fight, but he figured it was pretty much over since there was no way around a gas that could completely fool all your senses.

Kite now was grinning, he was worried the sergeant would figure out the main weakness of this gas. It wasnt that the information the sergeant was receiving was wrong, it was simply that everything the sargeant did or heard or even smelled was opposite. I was completely opposite that earlier when the sergeant saw him and heard him talk, it was an opposite area where he wasnt thinking.Kite was clever enough to know that a one on one sword fight with a sergeant was not a good idea, but now he felt he could win. He walked up cockily towards the sergeant, and aimed to strike him down with his blade.

(What do you mean by it was an opposite area of where he wasn't thinking? So even if he sees/hears/feels/smells/tastes something coming from one direction and attacks in the opposite direction, then it's not there because its opposite of where he wasn't thinking? That literally is impossible to defeat. You cannot think and yet not think at the same time.)

Tero thought about the match and its purpose. Did he really want a promotion? No. He didn't care about such things. Besides, this battle wasn't about life or death. It was sort of like a game. When he considered the pros and cons of it, he realized it wasn't worth standing here and getting killed over, which is pretty much what he was planning to do.

"Ah well, no point in continuing," Tero said. He turned so that he was looking straight into Kite's face, although he couldn't see it there. "I concede the match."
