Kesu Chapter 4: The mission continues.

the navy was gaining on them now, already canon fire could be heard

[I'm just gonna say there's cannons....if that's okay with you all]

Cannons? There has to be some on this piece of scrap timber. Becky searched the lower decks and found a few large cannons, not state-of-the-art but could still work. "Hyu! You know how to work a cannon?" She yelled to the upper deck. She quick found powder and cannonballs and loaded the guns. "Match...match....Damn it!" She got a quick idea. She changed into hybrid form and painfully picked out a longer spine and brushed it against the bottom of her shoe like a match, making just enough heat to fire off a shot. She quick ignited the powder and BOOM! went a shot, going straight for one of the distant ships. There was a faint crash, so it must've hit but most likely didn't do significant damage.

Ozzy ran down and then manned one of the cannons, he took his sword and ra it against the ground creating friction which caused a spark and there was some flame, he lighted the fuse thanks to this spark and fired the cannon off at the incoming ships "Oh how lovely it is to be by the sea side........" Ozzy tried humming a nice tune to make things seem better

Hyu nodded. Though it wasn't throwing weaponry, ranged arnaments were his specialty. He aimed the cannons at the ships, taking angles and distances into account. He whipped out his shurikan, and scraped them together a few times, eventually generating enough sparks to fire the cannons. He repeated it enough to fire all the cannons he had prepared, hearing a crash then and again. He began reloading the cannons to try to sink at least one ship. Best to go down fighting.

Becky kept firing, but then noticed Hyu. "Ozzy! Aim exactly for the ship Hyu is. With three cannonballs it's bound to do something no matter what the ship!" She moved her cannon to aim precisely at the same ship, more towards the mast.

More and more ships poured in to the area, they would be surounded soon and running was becomeing their only option

"Damn it..." Hyu said, leaving Ozzy and Becky to their work. He ran to Staples. "Hey, can you propel this ship through explosions in any way, shape, or form?"

"....Of course" He created an orb of gunpowder behind the ship, and then looked at the crew. "....Hold on". His warning was that of a logical one, they could die in the instance as they were launched away. They could be capsized or tossed off the boat. So, he gave the warning. "....Don't blame me if we all die."

"We're screwed regardless, so just fire the damn thing!" Hyu yelled, throwing his knives and shurikan to wrap their wires around himself, Becky, and Ozzy, pinning them to the mast. He left one hand free so he could cut the wires if necessary.

Staples shut his eyes in fear, the first true embrace of demise he had in his life. His realization was that the crew depended upon him, his failure would not just end his life, but theirs. He shook with doubt but nodded in false confidence. "...Alright!" The orb shook and then an ember sphere expanded. The waves behind the ship rose vigourisly. The ship was tossed away from the conflict and Staples was tossed into the mast.

Becky caught Staples in her arms before he could fly any further. "Gotcha!" they were moving at high speed, and losing him would not be good. "Hang on everyone!"

Ozzy stuck his sword into the wood to keep himself from flying off. He laughs in relief of the situation "you lot of bloody geniuses i tell you!!! You ok there HYU!!!!!?"

Hyu gritted his teeth. "Yes! You okay, everyone?" The wires held him tight to the mast.

"A okay!" Becky replied. It seemed odd that Hyu wasn't being as indifferent as he usually is, but it was best for the situation was the thought in her mind.
