Dead End Race/Competition (open to all crews and loners)

Salvat picked up the pen, filled out information about himself (fabricated, naturally) then turned to the frog. "Right then my froggy friend, your name?"

"My name is Figdra. My species is frog. Oh, my ship's name is Pwuga..." Figdra said, moving over and putting his body in a position so Salvat could sit on him to rest.

Salvat nodded, scribbling the pen on the registration paper; he kept standing, and nodded, placing the paper on the table. "Right then, greetings to you Figdra." He paused for a moment "Err, i am...Bob." It was his code name. "Well met." He appreciated the frog's kindness and trust, but Slavat could afford neither luxury. His identity here had to be kept secret. "Tell me Figdra, do you know much of the happenings in the world of humans?"

Figdra gave Salvat a slow smile. "Well... not really... what do you mean, exactly?" Figdra figured Gael would want to help this man, so Figdra would try.

Salvat leaned in, and whispered "Has there been news of any islands as of late in the Grand Line that have stories of their estates being robbed or razed?" Salvat was referring to Silt's nocturnal activities, of course. The more information he could gather, the better.

Figdra nodded. "Oh yah. I'm friends with a human named Gael. He was in a town when a man disrupted his reading a book by breaking into a nearby mansion. The man used a scythe, Gael said, and used it to chop up all his plants! He was really upset about that..."

Salvat had to quickly hide the expression of shock he had almost displayed on his face with a plain one. Figdra's 'friend' was that man back in the last town they encountered Silt, the one with power over the plants. He paused, then nodded. "I see. Does your friend know of any other similiar incidents occuring on islands along the navigational path?" Salvat knew that no matter what kind of person Silt was, he still had to follow the natural rules of the Grand Line with a Log Pose. Then again, Silt was very unpredictable..

Figdra thought a bit. "I'm sorry, not really. I wish I could be of more help, seeing as you did help me... but I don't remember much else."

Salvat relaxed. "I see. Thank you." Well, it was a start, though he'd have a long way to go until he picked up his trail again. In the meantime, keeping his identity secret was vital.

"Sorry I wasn't of more help," Figdra replied. He positioned himself behind Salvat and said, "You can sit on me if you feel tired."

"Thank you, but i can afford to stand, if not for a little while." Salvat replied; truthfully, however, Salvat was just too tense to sit; the reason for the tension was not the race, but rather the fact that he had left his crew to keep up the chase.

Suddenly a loud voice was heard from the speakers that were on each level. "The race is about to start. Everybody get ready to start and make sure you have your Eternal Log to the destination with you."

Jaycie sighed. Finally, it was starting. She already knew that the race would consist of three "sections." First was a maze like waterway, then it would be a place full of sea kings, and the final stage was a place covered with mist. Her plan was to hitch a ride with whoever she thought was most likely to win the race.

Figdra's tongue shot out and waved 'good bye' to Salvat, and he bounded out to the starting line, the Eternal Pose in his gut. "Okay, now, time for you to come out, Pwuga!" Figdra said cheerfully, opening his mouth and making horking sounds. A grayish mass began making its way out of his mouth, much larger than him. With a final 'hork', a manatee shot out of his mouth and landed in the general vicinity of the starting line. A deep voice came from the water, "Figdra, is your mouth okay?" Figdra leapt onto Pwuga's back, saying, "Yup a roo! Thanks for asking! I've got Rirnef, Peaba, and Squil in me too, so we should be fine!"

Salvat looked about. He was fairly certain that swimming through the race was not going to be an option. So he had to find some temporary comrades, and make a temporary pact with them; he looked over to Figdra, as the frog coughed out a manatee with a girth of a ship into the water. Salvat chuckled with humour. There was no end to oddity in the ocean. He continued to look about, hoping to find some would be allies. Perhaps from them, he could derive information about Silt.

Mist crawled about the plants. The race was starting, and he had noone to hitch a ride with. He followed the fishman and the frog, and noticed the frog seemed to have the same ability as Dim... Sttrange.... He approched the frog.
"Hey, thats a pretty cool devil fruit ability..."

Figdra turned to Mist, and sighed. "Thanks, Mr. Chameleon." Figdra's tongue lashed out at a nearby fly. It wasn't one of Mist's.

Shaunic and his crew saw lots of boats. "Must be a race or some thing." Said Shaunic
Then a flayer came at Shaunic and he grabbed it "hmmm." he said. "Look at this Troy and Jaycie." He said as he handed the map to his crew.

Troy gets the paper from Shaunic " hmm you interested in a thing like this" Troy hands the paper back to Shunic

"Yep." Said Shaunic taking the paper back.
"Looks like its about to start lets hurry up."

Troy shrugs his shoulders and follows behind Shaunic

Shaunic runs in the bar with to coins."Here" Shaunic Said giving the bartender the money.
