Ziv made her way through the forest. It was quite thick, and it was hard to make out where she was running, but this was about her family, after all.
Finally, she saw the cause for the warning squeek. She raised both eyebrows. That wasn't what she had suspected.
In the middle of the clearing she was looking at, there was a cat... man... thing.
But what was really important was that he had killed three of her sisters (rats) and was holding them up by the tails now. He looked curious, rats most likely were rare on this island.
She understood immeadeatly. This meant danger.
Abo let out an angry little growl. The cat thing looked into their direction.
Ziv didn't think, she just ran. It didn't seem to chase her.
When she saw the boat they had come here on, she jumped on.
She was back at the ship in no time. Some of the crew mates looked at her strangely, but no one said anything.
She pointed at the boat, then at the island. She didn't really care whether or not they had understood at all, she hurried into another boat and headed away from the ship. They might or might not meet again. She didn't care. But she wouldn't endanger her family for it.
On the island, a small shadow made its way into the water. Then another one. A horde of shadows swam after Zivs boat. They would catch up to her soon, they knew.
And even if they wouldn't, they'd follow her wherever she went.
(Bye guys.)
