Do You Have What it Takes to be a Midnight Marauder?

[The man would walk into a store opposite to that of the location that the pirates were just vacating. a couple of minutes would go by before an angry shout could be heard all around town]

"WHADDA YA MEAN 'OUTA FOOD'?!?!?!"

[At that moment, the building would be shattered, and the man who had just entered would be standing with his arm extended, as though he had just punched something, and the store clerk would be knocked out entirely. and as the mysterious man walked back to the port, he would mumble under his breath]

"Lousy 2-bit town..Ain't got anything worth stayin' for..."

After having grabbed his stuff, Ranyx dramatically leapt out of a window for no real reason, landing lightly on his feet. He saw the store across the way destroyed. That wasn't good. He had know the owner. And the previous owner. And the previous owner's father. He saw the man that he had waved to amidst the rubble. "Oi!" Ranyx yelled to the man. "Is there a problem?" He had two spare sets of clothing in his messenger bag, as well as a loaf of bread sticking out of the flap. He also had some... personal effects in the bag.

[The man cocked his gaze over to Ranyx, and his arm would drop to his side.]

"Yeah, there's a problem!!!

[He would nod over to the unconcious store clerk]

"Buddy over here ain't got anymore damn food in stock!!"

"Is it really his fault? For all you know, sir, they were about to place an order for more," Ranyx said. Which was true. This day, every week, the store ordered anything they needed. It had been that way for decades. "Need food?" Ranyx continued, pulling out the loaf of bread and offering it to the man.

"........Bread?"

[The man cocked an eyebrow, and stared at Ranyx as though he were stupid]

"WHY'RE YOU OFFERIN' ME SOME MEASLEY LOAF'A BREAD, HUH?! YOU THINK I'M POOR AND STARVIN' OR SOMETHIN?! I'M A MAN, DAMMIT!! I NEED MEAT!! MEEEEEEEEEEEAT!!!!!! MEAT, I TELL YA!!!!]

"Hm," Ranyx replied, making a mocking expression as if he WAS stupid and biting into the bread at the same time. "If you're hungry for meat, try another store. I know for a fact that I had stocked this one," motioning behind him, "just a day ago. Smoked, fresh, frozen, whatever." He turned and began walking back to the ship, saying over his shoulder, "And don't even think about doing anything stupid in there."

After giving Sonoma and Ashido the grand tour, Oceana let them settle down in the sailor's quarters and meet their new shipmates while she went back on deck. Striding towards Nova's giant frame, he chuckled and shook his head at her. Grinning she shrugged and leaned against the ship's railing.

"What can I say?" she said, "It's a gift." Sounds of chaos and destruction soon reached their ears and Oceana perked up. This little backwater town almost never had anything going on really. So what could it be now? Bounding down the gangplank, onto the dock, she dashed through the streets, looking for the source of the tumult. Spotting the ruined shop, Ranyx and another man, she slowed to a jog and stopped in front of Ranyx.

"Ranyx, what just happened?!" she said, hinting at the destroyed structure.

"Eh. Not my fault. This... temperamental... man destroyed the store since they didn't have any food. So I just told him to buy meat from my old store. I know that meat is in stock; I just added more yesterday," Ranyx said, hoping that Oceana would let it go and the temperamental man would just buy the meat and be done with his tirade. Though, if he destroyed anything else... Ranyx would deal with him.

Temperamental?!

[the man would growl, and crack his knuckles]

One more wise crack and I'll crush this ENTIRE island!!!!

((FYI, now that I'm entering a kind of battle setting, technically destroying the island without allowing a chance for you to be stopped is calling a hit.))
Ranyx dropped everything. Threatening to destroy the island? "Who the hell do you think you are, child? You have no right to do any such thing." Ranyx was in the appearance he had when he was fourty, all those year ago. He snapped his fingers, reverting to the form he had when he was thirty. He was strongest at twenty, weakest at whatever age he really was. "If you so much as bend over to touch the ground, I will not hesitate to stop you." In one, fluid motion, Ranyx stooped, grabbed the handles of his swords, drew them out while standing.

Ranyx didn't want to kill the guy... much better if he was alive.

Hmph..

[As if to mock him, the man tilted downward to the side]

Name's Bradley..Bradley Tucker. Most just call me Breaker Bradley though..

"One more inch, boy. I dare you," Ranyx's tone was threatening. He was more angry than he had been in twenty years. He clenched his swords' handles, ready to beat the pompous prat senseless.

[Breaker smirked, then bent over further, touched the ground, then walked right past Ranyx to his own ship]

"I'm not an idiot, y'know. If I break the entire island, what's gonna stop me from fallin into the ocean? With my devil fruit? No thank you.."

Oceana's eyes darted back and forth between either man in confusion. Yes the man was temperamental and dangerous, but for Ranyx to make such a bold assumption... it was a bit much even for her. Couldn't he determine between a bluff and an open threat? Then again, no one could really every be fully trusted. Perhaps he saw a threat that even her trained eye couldn't see. Placing a gentle hand on Ranyx's elbow she raised her brows questioningly.

"Ranyx, the man has a point." she said, sounding like a chiding man, "However, I won't keep you from fighting him." Her expression changed as she looked at Breaker. Pirate or not, senseless violence did not sit well with her. Clenching her fist she glared. "I'll fight alongside you against him. I don't tolerate careless attitudes like his from anyone."

Ranyx relaxed. He put away the swords. Then he went into his old store, got some smoked meat, and threw it at the back of Breaker's head. "You forgot your meat," Ranyx yelled after him. "Oceana. I've lived here for fifty years. I won't tolerate this... child's... bullshi-"

"........"

[Breaker would stop, then shrugged as he back onto his ship. in a few minutes, secret compartments on his ship would open up, revealing a full batallion of cannons. there were exactly 100 canons, all aimed directly for buildings on the island]

"Lesson numero uno, kiddies: NO ONE throw's meat at Breaker Bradley!!"

((How is it possible for all 100 to be facing the same way?))

Ranyx had completely stopped caring about the town. "Guess my age. Guess it, go on. And I assumed you wanted meat because you destroyed that building because they didn't have any meat."

((Not facing the same way. All of em are 'sposed to be pointed at different spots in the same general area))

I didn't JUST want meat. I need chicken, fish, eggs, veggies, ALL that good stuff...And I'm gonna pin you at about 47.

Ranyx fell over laughing. "I thought I looked around thirty. No. I am several normal lifetimes old. Don't ever call me a kiddie."

Several lifetimes, eh?......Okay, I'll bite: Which devil fruit do YOU have?

"Jurei Jurei no Mii, or the Age Age Fruit. None of your concern though," Ranyx said. "You must have the Break Break fruit. I remember an earlier user. Nice guy. Didn't overreact."

"Earlier user? That's impossible! There's only one in the world!"

((Seriously, I invented the fruit not even half a month ago.))

((If teh fruit exists at all, it has existed before. I'm pretteh sure it was proven in the anime/manga that fruits cannot exist at the same time, but they can exist at later dates. As such, it is perfectly canonical for a there to have been a pervious user.))

"I was serious when I said several lifetimes. Only one right now. I met its previous user. As I said," Ranyx replied, indignant that this youngster would question him.

"Don't call me old. Or would you like your mast to be considerably shorter, child?" Gael replied, half joking and half serious.
