Do You Have What it Takes to be a Midnight Marauder?

Staring dismally down at her still full mug, Captain Oceana S. Edwards’ mind was going a mile a minute. Having stopped at this small port-town to restock supplies, she knew supplies weren’t the only thing she needed to acquire here. It seemed good crewmembers to have aboard a pirate ship, were becoming rarer and rarer. Either all the good ones were already part of another prominent band of pirates, or they had a problem with a female captain. That fact always got her steamed.

Tracing her finger on the lip of the mug, she sighed. Nova Erikson, her half-giant first mate thundered into the saloon leisurely for a third time to check on her. Seeing that she was still in the same position, staring at the same drink, he frowned and rolled his eyes.

“Captain,” his voice rumbled, “You’ll never find new recruits this way.” Groaning and resting her arms and head on the bar, she shook her head. Chuckling at her own expense, she looked back up at his massive frame to explain herself.

“I know Nova, I just don’t know where to begin.”

''Oi!'' Ashido saunters over to this huge half giant who is built like a brick, holding an empty mug while his clothes are dripping wet. ''see this!'' looking down at his clothes ''you spilt my drink!''

Now in most cases ashido would have more sense to go up against a man as big as a house but he wasnt having a good day and to make matters worse his drink got spilt over him that now made him look like he pissed himself. So ashido was pretty steamed about todays events and pretty sure he was going to kick someones butt even though he has to get a ladder to do it.

Ashido was taking off his coat, ready for a fight until he saw a blond woman at the table. Powerless against girls, in instant Ashido was at the table beside the woman, ''Seeing such a beauty alone in this ranky bar can dangerous for a young woman, with me ul have nothing to fear and may i be so bold to enquire this gorgeous beauty's name'' Ashido was smileing like an idiot while captivated by Oceana.

Very amorous, Ashido constantly flirts with any attractive woman he sees he and so now he has forgotten about his spilt drink and talking to Oceana.

Blinking hard a few times, Ana’s grin grew wide at him, albeit more about his presence rather than his compliments. Glancing up at Nova, she raised her brows, as if to ask for his approval. Nova was still confused as to how fast everything had gone. First the stranger was angry about spilled grog and was ready to pick a fight, the next moment he was struck by cupid’s arrow. Shrugging and rolling his eyes, he gave her a half-hearted ‘thumbs up.’

“I’m sure I can take care of myself. I’m a big girl.” Ana said – flexing—just for the irony of the statement. Twisting her blue and aquamarine streaks flirtatiously, she gave him a coy smile. Laying it on thick with the men-folk was her number one tactic for gaining crew-members. It was shameless, but hey—it works.

“My name is Oceana, but please call me Ana. May I ask what your name is kind sir?” She was careful not to give too much away until she was sure of his motives.

Oceana smile gives Ashido another reason to act like a flirting idiot ''ah, Oceana a beautiful name to match a beautiful face'' Ashido moves closer to Oceana ''i am just a humble man unworthy of your-'' Ashido barges into Nova accidently ''hey! out of my way big lumps or i will come up there and beat your butt down'' Ashido shakeing his fist up angerly up at the giant nova.

Giving Ashido an estranged look, Nova shuffled backwards a ways and bowed low. Looking up he grinned impishly and winked. “My apologies great one, I did not know you were so powerful.” He said ironically before thundering out of the saloon. Ana’s shoulders shook as she chuckled quietly and shook her head.

“Forgive him, he believes the pen—well—tongue in this case is mightier than the sword.” She said quickly, “Anyways… what were you saying before?” She asked, batting her eyelashes.

''ehh, yea thats right! Get ur big ugly butt out before i kick it!'' asido says after Nova walking out although he was more expecting the giant man to swing and try to take his head off, a little relived also. From were ashido was standing from shouting abusive stuff after Nova then he appeared instantly beside Ana on his knee takeing her hand and bowing his head ''mon ami, i will forgive that brute only cause you wish it'' after Ana batting her eyelashes Ashido's heart beat raced Oceana-chan is soo cute Ashido jumped to his feet ''I am Ashido Kugashira'' Ashido lifted Ana's hand to kiss it ''Lady Ana it is a great pleasure to meet you''

Oceana smiled sweetly as Ashido pressed his lips to her hand. Hopefully, this guy would be as much of a pushover as he seemed. At the moment, he looked like he was ready to follow her to the ends of the earth and back. In all honesty, she wouldn’t have minded either—as long as he obeyed her every order and was willing to eat, sleep and breathe the Yoruyonaka Kaizoku way.

“Well Kugashira-san, what brings you to this small place?” she queried, trying to figure out his motives. With luck, he would already be looking into piracy. She doubted that a future marine would be caught dead in this small, rickety old bar with a shifty crowd like this.

Sonama strode into the bar with a annoyed look on his face, sailing a ship alone was hard and he needed a crew....or to swallow his pride and join the crew of someone else. He walked into the bar and immediately noticed a woman and a man who was flirting with her, he seemed drunk.

"'scuse me....he bothering you?"

Sonama wasn't one to intrude normally but just watching this guy was annoying and he was already agitated beating up some random drunk may let off some steem

Glancing up from Ashido, her sea-green eyes locked with ice-blue. He was slightly taller than the average man and had a fair complexion. His golden blond hair was in a rather unkempt style. Donning black boots mostly hidden by his loose fitting blue jeans and a black sleeveless shirt, he looked the part of a seaman. Eyeing the katana on his hips, Ana sized him up quickly.

“No—not really sir. Thank you for your concern though.” She said softly. Unsure of what to do, she shrugged off her jacket and pulled her hair over her shoulder, conspicuously—but inconspicuously—revealing her Jolly Roger tattoo on her left shoulder blade. Pulling uncomfortably at her sky-blue tube-top, she cleared her throat, waiting for someone to fill the empty noise.

Seeing a pretty girl, Ashido is becomes a complete idiot for girls, being charming and flirtatious, a rather surpriseing change than his normal jerky attitude''Neither me or you can resist the turning of fate but I belive it was dystiney that brought us together, my beautiful sweet''. Actully what really brought Ashido to this bar or like any bar is that is likes to drink.

Ashido was still trying spewing love and romantic nonsense until a new guy walked into the bar and interupted him 'ana swan ur as beautiful as-Oi! We were haveing a private intimate moment here!'' Ashido now riseing up agerily to the new guy

Ashido was angry at this interuption and was ready to fight, until his attention turned back to Ana when she started to take of her jacket and pulled her hair over her shoulder. Right now ashido was completly ignoreing the new guy and was pretty absent to the world except ana for smileing like an idiot at ana.

''Ana-Chan your so beautiful'' standing and smileing like an idiot, if this was a scene in an anime it would have shown ashido shades to be replaced by hearts.

Sonama smiled seeing the tattoo he wasn't sure if this was proof she could handle herself or what but Sonama thought it best to leave them alone for now at least. He was sat down at the bar and ordered a drink. As he drank he wondered if he should try to recruit the woman for his crew, he then wondered if she was already in a crew.

Wrinkling her nose in exaggerated delight, Ana grinned even wider. Admittedly, this whole exchange was starting to make her nauseous. Biting her bottom lip thoughtfully, she tried to think of the most tactful way to break away from the current subject and attempt to recruit the lovesick man. When the idea came to her, it took every ounce of her being to keep from snickering or grinning deviously. Giving Ashido the most pathetic look she could, she gave a forlorn sigh.

"Your flattery has only momentarily distracted me from my current problem, but it seems it still plagues me yet." she said sadly, "Do you think--?" she paused, "No it is too great a problem. No one can help me." With a melodramatic sweep, she buried her face in her arms on the bar and pretended to sob. "Oh woe is me!"

Ashido stopped when he noticed a change in Ana's mood, seeing now that she became rather down all of a sudden, Ashido was curious too find out why. Coming to Ashido with problems was a bad idea and just stupid on your part if you thought for one that he give 2 thoughts about you and what your problems were, well it is mostly the opposite gender Ashido wouldnt really give a toss what was wrong with them and most likely would tell them to get stuffed none the less. Sitting down and listening to some dudes problems?! Ashido could think of beter things to do than waste his time being the crying shoulder for some crybaby. However, the female persuasion, theres nothing really that Ashido wont do for a pretty girl if the chances are he might be rewared or thought likely of.

lowering down beside her ''Ana-chan what is wrong?'' Ashido sounding worried, he could see something very clearly was upsetting Ana but only had one suspion what it could be. Riseing back up ''I think i know what is going on and i know what you want to ask'' Ashido says while adjusting his shades while wearing a big grin giving the impression that he knows what Ana was trying to do the whole time trying to recruit him.

''HEY!! YOU UPSET ANA-CHAN, IM GOING TO KICK UR butt!! Ashido was shouting and storming up the bar towards Sonama. Seeing Ana upset and thinking that the cause was sonama's interuption earlyer, he was going to beat sonoma thinking that would make Ana beter. When Ana sees me take care of this loser, il be the hero and she wont get enough of Ashido hehe thought ashido while he smiled to himself

Now he had gone and done it... Sonama did not appreciate this loud mouthed moron yelling at him. He immediately stood up and put his hand on his sword. He had already been having a horrible day... may this would make him feel better. "Waiting on you..."

Ashido seen sonama reaching for his sword pla, weapons are for pussys. these are all i need Turning his hands to fists. Just give the stupid fool a beat down and Ana will be most greatful thought ashido, grining like idiot again while haveing a image of himself standing over Sonama with ana hugging and thanking him, yea, he will be sorry when hes black and blue all over.

Ashido charged up the bar towards sonama, only changeing a slight course of direction in his tracks when a drunk fell over on the ground in his path, Crap! already going at speed on his skates Ashido quickly avoided the man by jumping up on a table, knocking over drinks and dodgeing people but still makeing his way towards Sonama. Jumping from table to table to reach sonama, the last table he reached he jumped off, only a short distance away sailing through the air, ashido tighten his right fist and swung it towards sonama.

Rolling her eyes and huffing loudly, she made her annoyance known. This really wasn’t going anywhere. Closing her eyes and shaking her head in disbelief, she counted to ten silently in her head before standing up abruptly and sending her chair flying across the bar with a swift kick. Hopefully that at least got their attention. If not, her sudden outburst would most definitely get their eyes and ears on her. Inhaling sharply, she raised her fist over her head, as if to strike then let it drop before letting out a yell.

“Oi! None of that!” she said sharply, “If someone was bothering me, trust me, I’d take care of it myself!” Her demeanor had changed from dramatic and flirty to her normal serious and dutiful one. Narrowing her eyes at the two of them, she paced back and forth, looking them over several times before opening her mouth to speak.

“Alright gentlemen, my only purpose here is to recruit new crew members for my pirate ship.” She said with a voice full of command, “I suppose I should have just been straight to the point since certain males can’t understand subtle hints.” An edge of coldness nipped at the last bit of her sentence. “So either tell me you’re interested, or leave me the hell alone.”
