description: it is of a Shamshir type, a type of sabre with a curve that is considered radical for a sword: 5 to 15 degrees from tip to tip. Typical pre-Islamic Iranian blades used for warfare were originally straight. Curved blades in this period were used primarily for hunting, though examples of curved swords used in battle are present in Greek depictions of Achaemenid Persian soldiers. The curved scimitar blades became popular after the Mongol invasions. The sword now called "shamshir" was popularized in Persia by the early 16th century. These blades all were developed from the ubiquitous parent sword, the Turko-Mongol saber. The only difference is that the blade is made of a metal only found from a Neptunian sea dragon’s scales, and the scabbard is made from the bone of the one who requested the making of the sword.
weapon special abilities: the abilities of the Wrought Iron Dragon are simple but strong: it is able to conduct electricity, acting as a lightning rod for electric-based attacks, and returning the attack to the opponent. It can also cut through almost everything, only coming into a tie with swords made by the same substance or stronger as its own.
history: This sword is one of the Ō Wazamono Grade Swords, for the reason being that it was placed in that rank by Bardos’ ancestor, the one who had discovered the island they lived in the first place. It is said that his ancestor, when he had arrived to the Grand Line, that he accidentally went into one of the Calm Belts, and was confronted by the monsters. It is also said that when he tried to go back, one of the Neptunians, a sea dragon, followed him, not happy with its “meal” getting away. He didn’t know what to do, either fight, or get eaten, which would probably bring him to the same end…
He was swept into a barren island, his ship destroyed and his crew dead. The only thing that he had was a scale, which he had snatched from the dragon, at the cost of his right arm and leg. He was already drifting away to the point of no return, when he was saved by the only living inhabitant of the island: A Shaman. He was wrapped up and nursed back to health by him, his lost limbs replaced by wooden ones, courtesy of the shaman. He was about to thank him, when he noticed that the scale was gone, thinking that the man had stolen it, only proving himself wrong when the shaman told him that he was also once a blacksmith, and was able to make a sword out of it. He also said that he had seen one of his…limbs flow into the shore, and used the bones to make the scabbard, since it was necessary, so it could withstand the power of the sword. The ancestor couldn’t thank him enough, and in promise, he would take care of the sword with his life, since the shaman didn’t want anything else in return…
Generation after generation, the sword has been passed down to the sons of said lineage, and since Bardos didn’t have a son but two daughters, he gave it to Barius at the end, since he had thought of him as family.
Oh, i was also wondering if i can make my other weapon into a Saijō Ō Wazamono Grade Sword.
