Crew History: Every member of the crew was threatened on by the original captain, Captain Corkscrew. If they refused he would threaten to kill everyone important to them. Luckily he died, and most of the crew returned to their remaining family members... all but a few people.
Spiral Blackshanks took Corkscrews place as captain, although Spiral was unsure of himself and felt that the only man who could captain the crew was Captain Corkscrew. Spiral had heard of a mystical pool that could bring people back from the dead, so he set out trying to find it, lying to his crew telling them they were looking for treasure.
One morning while picking up supplies, Spiral was given a tip as to the whereabouts of the pool from a man in a bar. The man told of an island in the sky, and if any such pool existed he would probably find it there. Most people would have dismissed this as nonsense, but Captain Spiral was desperate and asked the man how he could get there.
With the mans instructions, the Corkscrews set out to find the sky island. Of course, the man didn't tell them everything and their ship was destroyed on the journey up and the crew was separated. Cuddy, Iggy, Chef, and Oswaldo found each other and are now sailing around in a dingy attempting to find the other Corkscrews.
