There is word goin' around that Oda is going on a Joker, Jack, Queen and King pattern here, which could fit considering Jack's name and all. But damn, he must be a beast, considering what we saw a few chapters back, since he's active now, it may very well mean that he screw over the marines and managed to .. well, you get where I am going with that.

As for the chapter's main point, my money's on either Ceasar shenanigans or something about Momonosuke's ability having some form of "revival" side-ability. But mainly routing for Ceasar.

I suppose Jack is going to return to Zou to finish his job, triggering the events of Zou.

That or Sanji is dead...

The fact that Oda gave us this "Only Alive" thing on his bounty can't be a random detail. That plus the fact that he's one of the primary characters make me highly doubt him being actually dead. Or even if he actually is, there's surely some loophole about it being a reversible situation.

That being said, Jack will probably appear; quite a bit of set-up regarding his name, plus Oda wouldn't show us an entire new tribe (and an interesting one to boot), along with this new "electro" ability, only to have the crew wander off shortly after getting up there.

Maybe Sanji seems to be dead with the help of Ceasar using a mysterious gas on him or maybe Brook used an unlocked power of Yomi Yomi no Mi to make him look dead and protect him from Jack. There's no way he is dying, especially after being neglected for so long. And even if he died, I can't accept him dying offscreen, unless he stays dead for the arc and we have an Underworld Arc to bring him back, which is gonna be awesome (although I doubt it).

I guess Jack is a Samurai from Wano and Nekomamushi provoked him. Also, I believe that Kinemon, Kanjuro, Raizou and Momonosuke run away from him because Jack was after them for something they did. That would also explain the Kinemon and Momo reacting when they heard the Straw Heart Alliance was after Kaidou, as they were running away from Jack who is Kaidou's right hand man.

Oda doesn't normally make bee-line plots like this. Usually, the plot has a more mysterious and adventurous "what's going to change the path now" feel. But this feels block-set. Three islands in a row all being directly related to Kaido very strongly. It makes it feel predictable. I think he's lulling us into a false sense of security. They will beat Jack at some point, either in this arc or in an upcoming arc and the wano country will become involved with the alliance in some way, or at least the samurai we know of, and probably more. This will further establish Luffy as a rising yonkou candidate and a threat to the world government. It will also get the attention of all four yonkou as well as the revolutionary army. The revolutionary army, in te midst of or post battle with blackbeard, will become involved with luffy, likely via sabo. The fleets of blackbeard and luffy will not conflict, it will be a skirmish. Blackbeard will be saved for later. Big mom will likely take direct action against the straw hats (though not in person) and when she does, either the revolutionary army or shanks will come to his aid ad a result of that arc, but the latter is more likely given the blackbeard conflict. Within all of this, Shanks will either ally with luffy in some way or another or be eliminated by the other alliance. Either way, this will drive luffy against them. All in between, various conflicts with Kaido will drive luffy and various allies against kaido. The other alliance may take part in this. The straw hats, after various other minor supporting plot developments, it will all collapse into a chaotic boiling point which disregards all strategies, plans, and predictions. Drastic loses will be apparant on both sides, and Luffy will somehow come out on top. The end result is undeterminable however as this is where other developments plus the bridges of twists will manipulate the conclusion into the start of the new plot.


At least, this feels like the set up he is using. It probably isn't 100% accurate but I'd bet 80% of my predictions eould be right on the money. He just wants it to be predictable in the beginning so that he can make the ending and new plot unpredictable. A false sense of security.
