Physical appearance: (one paragraph minimum per category):

Body: Shin has an athletic build, he is muscley but not so much that he can't still be fast, like a runner. He is of average height for his age and has is a little heavier because of his muscles. His skin is slightly tanned and also quite rough from training his body. He has the fitness of someone his age who regularly exercises and also engages in battle often. He has light bones like a birds'.

Face: His face has quite a rugged shape, it has quite high cheekbones, a prominent chin and deep-set eyes. He has a strong jaw and a relaxed looking brow. He has a very straight and wide mouth, his nose is up-turned like a child's and has round ears. His round, wide eyes are chocolate brown and seem innocent at first glance.

Hair: He has a full set of short hair that doesn't go past the top of his neck. It is mostly straight but sticks out in places, like he has just gotten out of bed, but not in a way that looks good like most anime characters. His hair is jet black but his eyebrows are a slightly lighter colour. His hair actually has been died, it is not naturally black and used to be brown, he had brown roots on the top of his head.

Non visual information: He has a slightly light and soft voice, which sounds like it hasn't completely broken. He has good vocal range and can go from much lighter than his own voice, to really deep. He usually smells quite good because he keeps himself well groomed (except for his hair). His skin feels rough to the touch.

Clothing: He wears a white cap on his head no matter what, it fits his head well as it was tailored for him and is made of a comfortable material. His usual outfit consists of an open jacket and a shirt underneath with some kind of shorts and is usually wearing trainers. One of his outfits consists of a blue denim jacket, a black shirt with no design, some khaki shorts and blue trainers. Another outfit is a black jacket with a red shirt that has a skull design, denim shorts and black trainers. His third and final outfit consists of a red jacket, a black shirt with a skull and crossbones style smiley face, black trousers and red trainers.

-Personality information-

Personality Overview: Shin often has an optimistic outlook on life. He is very casual towards anyone, from those he feels really close to most complete strangers whom he has never met. In fact, he treats everyone similarly unless he really hates them with all of his heart and even then he may mock them a little. He likes to make friends and tries to be friends with as much people as he can, but when he doesn't like someone he really doesn't like them.

In times of conflict he tries to come up with alternate options, not wanting to fight even though he secretly craves it, but he is not against fighting when the going gets tough. Shin, for as long as he can remember, and even before that, has had very bad anger issues. It's not that he is easy to anger, he is usually quite calm, but when he is angry his anger is explosive and violent and it takes him a while to calm down. Finally, he can be very protective of those he considers his friends and will rush in to protect them any day.

Likes, Dislikes, Hopes and Fears: Shin likes it when people refer to him by his nickname and he likes people who are naturally friendly to him. He also likes eating food, especially sweet food, while he likes eating he isn't completely obsessed with it either, he couldn't win a food eating contest 10 times out of 10 and he can't eat so much food so quickly that he makes chefs pass out. Although he has no problem with it he dislikes formality, again it isn't a major issue with him, he won't punch someone in the face just for calling him Mr Kuroda. In the future Shin hopes to make alot of friends and have great adventures, this is his main goal in life. Deep down he is afraid that when his chance for greatness comes he will be too afraid to take the chance.

-History information-**
Childhood
He was a fairly unexceptional baby, he was cute enough but there was nothing special about him. He was raised quite well as a child, he was not rich at all but he wasn't poor either, his family had enough money to get him what he wanted. He especially liked reading story books about adventures. What he read in books like Horaldo the brave, Senshi the warrior and Captain Nobeard inspired him to become an adventurer himself, the latter inspiring him to become a pirate.

Younger teens
As he grew older he realised that being a good pirate would be alot harder than he thought it was, he would need to train really hard. He spent a few years training to be a pirate, but it was never serious training and was not regular or good enough to actually contribute to his skills. One day he looked for a crew to join. One day a pirate ship went into the harbour, they seemed to be pretty nice for Pirates, they were only in town for supplies. Shin snuck on board the ship and waited until they left the harbour, when it became too late for them to bring him back he revealed himself to the crew.

Black bear Pirates
He was brought to the captain, a huge and hairy woman named Ursa, who made him explain what he was doing on board. He told them that he really wanted to be a pirate so he snuck on board. After thinking about it for a little she decided that he should start out as a cabin boy to prove himself, since it would just be a waste of time to turn around. He started off as a cabin boy, learning all the methods for doing the chores like the back of his hand, through the physical labour of the chores he grew strong and by the time he was 17 he was even stronger than most of the adults.

Capture of the Black bear pirates
One faithful day, there was a battle at sea, usually Shin did not participate in battles, but since he was now 18 the captain decided that he was old enough that she could not stop him from doing something he wanted to do, so she allowed him to participate in the battle. He cracked skulls and fought well. The battle was won, but significant damage to the ship had been dealt, more than could be fixed with their limited resources and skills. So they went into a nearby town to hire a carpenter to fix for them, but it was a marine base and the pirates were attacked. They were captured, normally they would have just been arrested since the Black Bear pirates were anonymous pirates with very low bounties, but the captain in charge of the base was a particularly sadistic one and had them all tied to posts, he killed them all one by one himself.

Escape
In desperation Ursa broke free from her post and started attacking the marines, she broke a few of her crew free and tried to escape with them. A group of marines found them and fought them, Ursa and her crew defeated them, one of them in desperation tried to eat a devil fruit but was shot before they could. Partly curious what it was and partly hungry, Shin took it from the marines corpse and kept it to himself. When they had some time to rest Shin ate the fruit in his hunger, but he did not feel any different. The group went on and were attacked by cannons, those that were still alive were split up. All the others were captured and killed and only Shin managed to find a rowboat and escape. In the weeks that followed Shin discovered his new powers and found an island, now he is tasked with wondering what to do next.

The length of the discription for the character's hair needs a sentance or two added to make it a full paragraph for the minimum.

Personality overview needs to be two paragraphs minimum.

Your bounty needs to be explained. How did he get such a high bounty from just cabin boy duties? In general bashing a few marine skulls wouldn't get you more than a million in this system, bouty wise.

As a warning, a level zero pirate with a bounty that high would be easy pickings for any bounty hunter that'd come his way.

As for his bounty, it states in his history that he escaped from the prison, so he gained 10 million berri, which according to the rules on bounty is how much bounty you gain when you escape from a normal prison (even though he did just escape by luck). I do think it should be less to be honest.

I know Cob is handling this and all, but...

You DO understand that your character can be killed without your consent right? Any bounty hunter or marine that crosses your path at your bounty would not hesitate to attack... Meaning you would likely die. Quickly. I don't want to see a character approved just to see it killed within the week :/

If you don't have a problem with the risk, I don't see anything else wrong with it. I won't make official approval, as this is Cob's go, but I HIGHLY reccomend starting with a smaller bounty.

I'm sure your character would have been alright with the bounty, but as you wish. I'll look over everything again once the fruit is done.
