As shown above, Calista is a young woman with silvery-white hair. Her eyes are the same color as the blue sky. There is one major descripency between the images. In the first one, her hair is shorter than in the second one. The first picture is more accurate to how she is right now, but she is planning to grow her hair out again. She doesn't have the most curvacious figure, but she is still a pretty, young woman. She is not particuraly short, but neither is she super tall. She is about five feet and eight inches in height.
History: Calista was born in the South Blue. She grew up knowing her mother, but not her father. According to her mother, her dad had run off years ago to become a pirate. Calista always thought this was a bit strange. Why in the world would anyone want to sail around on the ocean getting attacked at every turn? Not to mention the whole illegal aspect that came along with it. Calista thought Marines were scary, even if their job was to protect people. It wasn't that she feared their guns or swords or authority. No, Calista just didn't understand them. Like pirates, Marines seemed totally insane. They too went around fighting for their lives. Personally, Calista thought the whole idea was ridiculous. People should stay at home and live in peace. That was her ideal.
At the age of seven, Calista and her mother received word that Calista's father was dead. He had been killed by Marines. This shocked Calista, but didn't make her hate the Marines. If anything, it was the complete opposite. She was glad that her father was no longer out there causing chaos. So maybe, just maybe, the Marines weren't as bad as she had originally thought. They were still crazy, yes, but not evil.
At twelve, Calista's concerns began to change along with her body. She began to learn more about herself and what she was good at. This led to her deciding what she wanted to be: A top-rate chef. Over the years, she had come to discover that she had an appitude for cooking. Even more than that, she enjoyed doing it. It was a very peaceful activity, one that allowed her to have fun without actually being around other people. Of course, this doesn't mean that it didn't help to have people nearby. Calista's favorite sound was that of a person praising her cooking. Soon after discovering this new love of hers, she began to learn from her mother all that she could. Once she had gotten to the point where her mother could teach her nothing else, Calista began to learn from the people in her village and read as much as she could. She soon began memorizing recipies rather than writing them down and she started inventing her own.
Several years later, when Calista turned twenty, she decided it was time to take the next step. She had gone to a cooking school, passed with high marks, and was ready to go out into the world. The question was, where would she go? Oddly enough, this period of her life had never seemed all that important to her. She didn't really care about opening her own restaurant, she just wanted to cook. But she never really found a place that she liked to cook since most of them specialized in one type of food. She wanted to cook all food. Then it came to her. Not a idea, but a letter in the mail. It was an invitation to join the Marines. She had received them before and thrown them out immediately. Even now, she was tempted to do just that, but it was then that an idea came to her. The Marines needed cooks just as much as anyone else did. However, their chefs were not restricted by anything accept the nutritional needs of the crew. She could probably find a job on a base somewhere and cook to her heart's content and she would never have to worry about fighting. It was a dream come true.
At first, things went as she had planned and expected. She was required to go through basic training like all other Marines. However, once she was done with that, she wasn't required to do as much exercise as the soldiers. So she made it through basic training and waited for her assignment. She was so sure that her cooking skills would land her on an island base that when she was assigned onto a ship, she almost mouthed off to her commanding officer, asking if it was true. Turned out, it was. She had no choice now. So, after resigning herself to her fate, she got ready to head out.
Personality: Calista is an idealist. She wishes that all the world could be at peace, but she also understands that this is a lofty goal, one that is virtually unattainable. Even so, she hasn't totally given up on the idea of world peace. Now, this is not to say that Calista's goal in life is the make the world peaceful. She would like to do that, but understands that she does not possess the power to make it a reality. At least, not yet. Around other people, Calista is a shy and nervous individual. She doesn't like interacting with other humans on a regular basis or for a long period of time. Because of her shy nature, she doesn't like to broaden her horizons. Usually she tries to stick with what she knows and lets others handle the rest. What she does know is cooking. It has been her specialty ever since she was a child. Calista is perfectly happy to just stay in a kitchen and listen to the happy sounds of people eating her food. However, as a Marine, that is not possible. Calista has to fight and when she does, the change is drastic. Perhaps it is merely a defensive mechanism, a way of keeping herself sane, but in battle she becomes vicious and much more forthright with people. It is only after a fight, once she has calmed back down, that she becomes fearful of a battle and sometimes even depressed.
