Typically all but one of the ones who make it to combat round make it, you really could decide based on if someone killed because that would ruin it. Also we must state the no-killing rule/

just like we have here the creator is the one with the final word on waether his/her char dies or not

Oh well that's good, but here is a limit i thought of. You can only enter 1 character a time so you don't just get both of them to the combat and then just have one die so your intended character becomes a hunter.

Yes another good rule made. But the two most strict parts will be hunter exam and nen training.

that makes sense, oh and did you know in the anime there isn't a greed island or chimera ant arch? The End, which might not be the real end, is at the yorknew city arc after the battle with the spiders.

hunter x hunter is a good anime/manga, but its hardly ever updated, maybe once or twice a month... the author has other projects i believe... as for the nen chart, if i remember correctly, cant you not have materialization and emission, since they are on opposite sides? like (i forgot his name) the guy that uses chains for his materialization. he doesnt have emission i think, he has um... specialization

Forget what i just said, i read wrong, anyways, i thought of a thing you could use... you could launch your flesh at an enemy like a type of glue substance... manipulation of living tissue and emission to launch it. That being said, the hunter x hunter would definatley be a cool RP but how would you go about the Nen Tools, like the giant pipe, little doll dude, or the thing that the guy who got his butt kicked by the cat ant chimera used, (12 weapons in one, but unable to choose which he wants... i think)
