Crew Goals: Under Sombre's leadership, the Rain Dogs often combat some of the most violent and volatile villains the pirating world has to offer. While it is not unheard of for them to patrol or escort supplies, they are most often tasked with intercepting and capturing notorious pirates. The ultimate goal of the Rain Dogs is to disrupt piracy in any way shape and form. Their expertise is most commonly reserved for combat and demolition missions.
Crew History: The Rain Dogs were formed upon Sombre Bleu's promotion to Vice Admiral. The success of Sombre's destructive exploits inspired the higher ups to construct a task force specifically assembled to compliment his peculiar Devil Fruit's capabilities. There has been a long running dispute over the name "Rain Dogs". Some assert it is as brazen as it appears, a task force of navy 'dogs' sent to fetch pirates in the rain. Some interpret it as a subtle jab at Sombre's lack of direction. Rain Dogs are dogs that wander from home, and when it rains the scents that would have otherwise led them back home are washed away. They subsequently become lost. Regardless, the name now entails a reputation as one of the Navy's most destructive and powerful fighting force.
