Serious; The Justice Gamblers; Chapter 2: Big Game (Open to the Justice Gamblers)

It had been some time after the incident of Little East Blue. Apparently, the captain of the basement, Karma Tenma, was dismissed from his basement and he was forced to sail around the Grand Line before he would regain the right to return back at his basement as a captain. The person responsible for that was a man who had a much higher position than him. The marine Vice Admiral Raymond Mountain was the one who was responsible for this, as he thought that Karma needed experience in the sea before he would start directing a basement. Along with Karma, another marine started sailing. That marine was a marine sniper, with great sniping skills. The "Lone Wolf" Luis Krieg was a lieutenant who was much more powerful than other people that shared this rank with him. Luis was a great sniper and while Karma was taking on a pirate crew that was attempting to raid Little East Blue, he used great sniping skills and shot down the pirates from a great distance. That guy was amazing... He was the sniper that Karma wished to have in his marine force. And so, as those three traveled, they were about to come upon an incident...

Grand Line, near Spa Island

As the crew was sailing around the seas, they happened to pass through Spa Island, a technical island that was used as a resort for holidays. It was a quite beautiful place and it was very relaxing. Knowing what the island was, Karma wanted to get there... However, he was pretty sure that even if he wanted, he could not get the permission to stop his marine duties for a few days and have a holidy. Even if he could not, though, something surprising was about to take place as they sailed near the island.

Karma was looking at the sea, towards Little East Blue's side. Apparently, he was thinking of his basement and his office. He had such a nice time there... He felt very nice at his home. He could protect the land that raised him. However, Raymond came and ruined everything... He completely despised him for that. He could be admiring him for his strength and for his speeches, as well as for his awesome ability, but that was the man that took him away from his home without his own will. Karma knew, though, that if he tried, Raymond would keep his word and would allow him to return back at his home, while training him at the meantime... He started thinking "Could this be a plan of fate? Were we supposed to meet the vice admiral so that we would travel with him and receive some training? Hm...".

While thinking of all those things, though, his Den Den Mushi started beeping. "Peru peru... peru peru..." the Den Den Mushi said and Karma responded immediately. "Who is it?" he asked. "H-HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELP! SPA ISLAND IS... ZzZzzZzzZzZzZzZz.". Apparently, the connection was cut off... Something bad seemed to be going on at Spa Island.

With a worried look on his face, Karma turned his head and he stared towards Raymond and Luis, while saying "We need to get to Spa Island! Something bad is going on!". What was going on at Spa Island?! What would the marines encounter?!

''Hmm..spa island is also famous for harboring well known pirates..it would not be a surprise if one didn't want to pay..All hands, get ready for combat!''.He yelled at the crew, and the marines around him started taking up weapons.''We should enter with extreme caution..who knows what we could encounter there..''.

"Well..." Karma said as he looked at the marines from around taking up their weapons "There is a slight problem. I doubt that any of us have a way to get on the island... Apparently, the place is only accessible from the entrance and I don't think that anybody is willing to open the gates for us... Am I wrong, Vice Admiral?". Then, he stared at the island and he looked at it with a skeptical face as he was trying to figure out a way about how they could enter in it as fast as possible. Apparently, Karma was right. The island was not easy to access. It was a mechanical island that was made by humans and it was at the top of a huge and wide metal bar, probably in order to have the island protected by the waves of the sea. Something should be done immediately if the crew wanted to get on the island and see what was going on.

''Ah, you're over-thinking things.We could just blast the gate open with our ship cannons.And of-course I could just push it open in giant state.No technical mumbo jumbo needed.''.Raymond grinned.''Prepare the cannons!Aim for the gate!''.The big tri canon all warships had aimed at the gate and prepared to fire''On my command!''.

"Well, we are going to try our best, sir, but you should help us, as well. I doubt we can open the gate for the island without your assistance." Karma said as he unsheathed his sword and prepared to attack the gate towards the island. Luckily, the gate was nearby and it was within the reach of his attacks and of the weapons the other marines of the crew had. He said "Fire in the hole!!!!" and the marines started firing with their guns towards the gate, while Karma launched an air blade with the usage of his "One Sword Style - River" technique in an attempt to take the gate down. The attacks hit on the metal gate and even if they were causing damage, they were not capable of opening it. Raymond's assistance was probably needed to take down the gate.

''I guess knocking isn't an option now is it..well gonna open it anyways.''.As the ship got in the docks near the gate raymond started taking of his coat and took an offensive position.''giant style-''.Raymond began shining bronze and started growing rapidly to the size of a giant.''-Ryankyaku sen''.Raymond blasted his arm forward in such a way the air before his fist started to drastically accelerate.The wind shot blasted against the gate and opened it quickly, bending the gate in the progress.

"WHAT?! WITH ONE SHOT?!" the marines screamed as they looked at the Vice Admiral opening the gate easily. "How can he be that strong?" a few of them whispered to each other while Karma looked at him stunned. For a moment, he was thinking of that, as well. However, he then started realizing that this was very natural for a Vice Admiral. He was not a Vice Admiral for nothing... The marine demonstrated this once when he easily destroyed the Bang Pirates with a single attack and now that he managed to open the gate for Spa Island with one hit. "Let's go, guys!" Karma said and the ship started getting through the tunnel and started following the sea that was moving upwards, as the ship was moving up in reverse mountain. When the crew would be at the top, they would have finally reached Spa Island.

Spa Island, on the island

"HEEEEEEEEEEEEEELP!" a man with butler clothes said as he run at the island. The man was running with all his speed and his heart was beating more and more as he tried to escape from the threat that was on the island. As he run, he suddenly screamed and he started feeling a chill on his back. "ARGH!" he screamed and he fell on the ground, with a bullet at his back.

"That bastard... He called people with his hidden Den Den Mushi..." a man said as he blew away the smoke that was coming out his gun. He had big ears that formed an edge and he had a short black hair. His eyes were slim and small, but that did not matter anyway as he wore sunglasses. His skin color was white. He wore a black shirt with white suspenders. The most surprising thing, though, was his legs. That guy was a centaur! He had four legs and a tail on his back. He had black fur and his legs seemed to ressemble that of a feline, more of a panther.


"There was no need to shoot him, Neth, woooooooooof. The more people that come here, the more things we are going to steal from them, wooooooooof!" another man said to the sniper. This guy had a very long circular nose, very big eyes and a small mouth, making his face look quite ugly. He wore a cowboy hat that was hiding his hair and he had very short ears. He had an earring at his left eye that looked like a diamond. As for his clothing, he wore an orange colored shirt with flowers that was opened and revealed a well-built chest. He was carrying two swords on his hands and he looked quite cheerful.


"Shut up both of you... Od, Neth... Just shut up." a centaur said with a serious look on his face as he looked towards the place where the ships were supposed to come from. Apparently, he could listen to something... "Let's hide." he said and the three centaurs started running towards the hotel of the island in order to stay inside it. Outside, all of the people seemed to be head... Those centaurs were up to no good. They seemed to be quite dangerous.

Raymond sighed as he returned back to normal state and sad down on a chair.''I should train some more myself..there should be nothing left of that gate..''
Raymond looked at karma and laughed.''No worry's, I'm sure one day you will be much more powerful then me..that's the new generation's job after all hehehehe''

As the ship moved and move through the sea, it finally reached the surface of Spa Island! The Justice Gamblers had finally arrived at the resort island and they were about to inspect what was going on. However, before Karma divided the marines into teams for investigation, they all found out what was going on. Most of the people on the island were annihilated, including a few of them that were dressed with pirate clothing. Douzins of corpses were lying at the island and that was a bad sight to see. "Damn, we were too late!" Karma said as he jumped off the ship. Then, he slowly walked towards a corpse and he touched the blood that was around it. Apparently, it seemed very fresh. The person was attacked a few minutes ago. The culprits were definitely somewhere on the island. "The blood is fresh... The ones responsible for this are on the island." Karma said afterwards and he moved his hand towards his katana's sheath, prepared to unsheathe it in case something was about to happen. The Justice Gamblers would have to be very cautious.

Meanwhile, inside the hotel...

At the hall of the hotel, the three centaurs were together. Neth and Od were looking at their boss... Neth seemed to be slightly worried about the presence of the marines, yet confident because he believed in his captain's power. Od from the other side, who was a quite carefree person was simply smiling as he looked at his captain. "So, what are we going to do now, Ino-sama?" Neth asked. "We shall wait in the hotel and we will slowly ambush the marines one by one... It is very simple.". The man that answered was a very tall man, double in size compared to the other two centaurs. Just like Od and Neth, he also was a centaur. He had the legs of a lion while the rest of his body was like a human's. He had a very wide body and well-built big muscles. He did not wear anything at the upper part of his body. As for his face, he had the face of a savage man. He had scars all over his face and he had a pirate hat. He had long black hair that reached the middle of his back and he carried a very big ax with him.

Luis followed Karma after witnessing the vice admirals strength. He was not really surprised at the Vice Admirals strength. He was a Vice admiral after all, same as Admiral Nishki had been when he served under him. Nishki was the same way i not a little more grounded in his thinking. Luis knelt in front of the blood, he noticed some of the victims had bullets in their heads "Accurate shot, right through the soft spot of the cranium..... who ever did this are very experienced .... Captain Karma sir, i request to go find a vantage point to scope out the area?" It was only natural, Luis was getting used to referring to his Captain every time he needed to do something, he was too used to World Government missions where they let you go freestyle. But he would get back into the groove for sure.

"You may go, Luis..." Karma said while looking around. He sighed as he could not see any people around and he took a deep breath... The culprits did not seem to be around. Could they have escaped or not? Karma could not understand at all... After all, no ship could be seen around. There were many chances that they could have escaped... However, even if that was going on, Karma still had the strange feeling that the culprits were somewhere.

No matter what his feelings were, though, he decided to do what he had to do. With a serious look on his face, he turned towards his soldiers and he said "Men. Take the corpses of those people and try to search for their IDs. We have to know their names so that we will report to the headquarters and place their name in their grave. After all, they might have relatives that will be searching for them...". Karma was commanding the men to do their job and they started doing so immediately, while Luis was about to search around the area.

Luis nodded as he walked over looking for a vantage point. He climbed up one of the nearby structures which had a flat top surface roof. He laid down as he was looking over mostly half the island. Luis set up his scope and looked around. He could see Captain Tenma, he moved his scope and then noticed two shadows moving. Luis spoke into his den den mushi "Captain... i have a report... possible bogey nearby....."

"Hm? Where?" Karma said with a worried look on his face, but before his question was answered, a shot came from inside the hotel, striking one of his marine subordinates and making him fall down in pain. The shot was pretty accurate. It seemed to be aiming for the man's leg, just in order to demonstrate the shooting abilities of the sniper to the marines. "What the?!" Karma said as he looked at his subordinate and the door of the hotel opened, revealing the two figures that Luis spotted before.

Those creatures... They were freaks! They were both centaurs, one of them being a panther centaur while the other one was a wolf centaur. They both had human face and nobody would recognize them as centaurs if they only saw the upper part of his body. "Do they even exist?" Karma mumbled and said while his eyes took a deeply opened expression.

"Hoho! That was a good aim..." the panther centaur said as he blew the air of his pistol away. Then, the wolf centaur, who was carrying two swords on his hands looked at him with a look on his face that clearly showed that he wanted to annoy him. He said "That was just luck, Neth, wooooooooooooof!". "Just shut the hell up, Od." Neth replied and he looked towards Karma with a serious look on his face.

"Marines! I did not really expect to find you here..." Neth said to Karma with a look on his face that was showing his killing intentions. "I should be the one saying that... Centaur. What are you doing out of your myth book?". Upon listening to that, Neth grinned. He said with a clearly angry look on his face "I suppose I came to...kill you?". A battle between the two centaurs and the marines was about to start...

Luis immaditely fired a warning shot with his limiter on his rilfe on, the shot wasnt as powerful, but it would still hurt flesh. He took two shots at the two centaurs legs. Luis immadietly started removing his limiters "There is no time for this... oi captain, take them on with back up!!!!"

As the two shots were about to strike the centaur's legs, Neth swiftly grabbed his gun and he fired towards them, making them collide with each other before exploding in the air. Neth was demonstrating great sniping skills... He was a quite fearsome guy. He had a great eye and he could snipe greatly, no matter where his enemies were. "That was a great shot... Pretty accurate." he commented as he blew the air of his gun, once more. "Too bad that I was near to stop it." he continued saying while looking towards Luis who was standing on a building afar. "Now, if you excuse me...".

As soon as he spoke these words, Karma immediately understood what Neth was about to do. He was about to fire towards Luis in order to take him out, before he would take on Karma himself. However, as he was about to shoot, Karma started running as fast as possible while unsheathing his sword. He said "Stand back, men! One Sword Style - Flop!" as he attempted to slice the centaur. However, as he moved his sword, something unexpected happened. Od, the other centaur moved in front of the attack, while blocking it with his two swords that were placed horizontally. "You did not really think that I would do nothing, did ya, wooooooooof?" Od said as he blocked the attack. "Damn!!!" Karma said and cold sweat started coming out of his body as he listened to something.

Bang! A shot was heard. While Karma's attack was blocked by Od, Neth had the time and he shot towards Luis in an attempt to hit his arm and prevent him from sniping. Would he succeed or not?

Luis was already on the watch so he could see the enemies movement. He slid across, letting the shot whiz past his rifle and past him. And then without looking he fired a shot as he removed his limiter, which sent the shot blasting towards Nef. Luis adjusted his sunglasses, "That was fucking close... ill need to move position now...."

"Argh!" Neth said while screaming in pain because of the fact that the bullet that Luis had just shot, hit the back of his panther centaur body. Luckily for him, the shot did not hit any vital body parts for Neth. However, it was some good damage... Luis seemed to be having the upper hand in the battle now... And as Neth was screaming in pain, it was a great chance for Luis to strike with another shot attack to defeat him. Would he do so, though, or would he wait?

As Neth screamed in pain, Od's movements were affected as well. The wolf centaur turned his head towards his partner's direction for a second to see what happened, but while he did so, Karma took advantage of the chance and he sliced him at the chest with his sword swiftly, while he kept his guard down. Od also screamed in pain afterwards. The shot of Luis had just granted a big advantage at the Justice Gamblers as the enemies let their guard off and left an opening for the marines to strike.

However, before the marines could be happy enough for their victory, a voice was heard from the top of the hotel. It was Ino's voice, who was staring at the marines and his subordinates the whole time, watching the battle, just like the rest of the marines, including Raymond. "You are quite good, marines..." he said while opening the window of his room and revealing his face to the marines. What did Ino want from the marines?! Another question was made... Things were so strange...

"Who are you?" Karma said as he moved backwards, believing that Od would be unable to fight anymore.
"Ino is the name. Ino Lan." the man responded with an evil look on his face, as he stared to Karma... The leader of the enemies had just shown himself.

Luis positioned himself, moving his rifle, but keeping his scope on the area. He scowled as he saw what looked like the enemy leader based on his posture and the way Karma was reacting to him. Luis positioned the rifle foward and took a power shot, this time with the limiters removed, he sat up as he took the shot aiming for Ino Lans torso.

As the bullet was moving towards Ino, the lion centaur sighed and swiftly moved his hand forward. Then, he pulled the air in front of him, opening a small door in which the bullet moved and he dodged the attack effortlessly. Apparently, the centaur seemed to be a Devil Fruit user... And Karma knew which fruit it was. Just like his own fruit, this was a paramecia type Devil Fruit... The fruit that allowed the user to open doors on any surface. Ino was the user of the Doa Doa no Mi.

"Damn... He's a fruit user..." Karma commented, as he looked at Ino who moved through the door and disappeared. Then, Karma sheathed his sword and looked around... Neth and Od were lying on the ground, with their bodies covered in blood. To ensure that they were defeated, Karma used his fruit powers to grab Neth's gun and he shot both of them twice at non-vital spots on the legs to increase the damage they had received and to ensure that they were not acting that they were defeated at all. "I doubt you can move, now...". Then, he moved his head towards Luis. He said "Luis... That guy... He can open doors inside the air and move through them to move to any place he wants! If I recall that fruit... It is the Doa Doa no Mi! Come here, it's too dangerous for you to stay alone over there! Come and stay with the other soldiers!".

However, as soon as he completed the sentence, something unexpected happened. Below the many different marine soldiers which were watching the battle, a door opened and they were all sucked inside it, with only a few of them barely managing to escape the door. "What the..." Karma commented, completely surprised from that move. Ino wanted to get rid of the soldiers first, before he would try to take on the heads of the marine force.

While Karma was standing shocked because of the fact that all his soldiers were sucked inside the space of the door that Ino opened and closed, the time started passing. He was looking at the view of the empty place with shocked eyes and cold sweat started moving through his body. In the end, after all those minutes passed, Ino finally reappeared and he opened a door a few meters in front of Karma. He got out of the door with a smile on his face and he stared towards Karma in an evil way.

"Well, well... Those soldiers were fun to slay! Ha!". That guy... He was a savage beast and he seemed to be a great fighter. How would the Justice Gamblers defeat him?! And would Raymond help them or would he just look at them while they were taking Ino on?

Luis cursed as he fired two more power shots , both whizzing as soon as he sighted Ino Lan. the bloody Devil fruit seemed to have taken in some of the men as well. It wasnt a good situation. Luis reported on den den mushi "All remaining forces, maintain your distance till me and Captain Karma can contain the situation, DO NOT LEAVE YOUR POST!!"

"If they do not leave their post, I will make them leave... With their soul..." the lion centaur said with an evil look on his face, as he grabbed a big ax he had been carrying on his back in order to start his rampage. "You, two... You have defeated Neth and Od... You thought that you really did something... Neth and Od are weak compared to the rest of my crew and my allies... It is just that they are my most trusted subordinates, that is why I took them in this mission. It does not matter though. From the moment you two decided to take me on, you have sealed your fate, as well as the fate of the soldiers.". Then, Ino used his powers to swiftly open a door in front of him in which he entered.

"Damn!" Karma said, as he did not expect him to use the power of the door fruit again. "Stay on guard, everybody!" he said and all the marines prepared their swords so that they would defend themselves from Ino. However, before one of them did so, Ino appeared at extreme speed behind him and slashed his back with his big ax, damaging him greatly to the point that he instantly fell unconscious and that he started dying.

"Just what is he?!" Karma said with an angry look on his face, as he could not hold his anger anymore and started rushing towards Ino in order to slash him with his sword. "I am not letting you harm and kill more of my men! As a marine, it is my duty to protect the innocent civilians from scums like you. However, I have a double role. As a marine captain, it is my duty to protect the innocent marines who are fighting for justice from scums like you! If I let them fall, not only their families will hate me but also I will shame the name of the marines... And that is something I really do not want to..." Karma said as he run towards Ino and with an angry face expression, he grabbed his katana with both swords and said "One Sword Style - Turn!" as he attempted to slash the enemy with his attack that was capable of cutting even steel.

"You are pathetic, marine captain." Ino said with a smile on his face, as he used his ax to block the attack. At first, Karma was smiling. He thought that the sword was going to cut down the ax. However, he was completely mistaken. The two weapons simply collided with each other and nothing happened. That only meant one thing... Ino was also capable of cutting steel with his ax and when the two weapons clashed with the same intention, nothing happened at all.

"It seems that you are a little bit greater than a pathetic guy... Marine Captain..." Ino commented to a shocked Karma who moved with back steps to his previous position. Taking him on by himself seemed quite difficult. He would have to form a very good plan with Luis, if he wanted to defeat him.

Luis had grabbed his rifle and begun searching for a new target point. He made some calculations in his head and found a suitable area which was hidden. Luis was next to useless at close range , so a long range battle would be best. Luis had heard the captains speech and it reminded him of Admiral Nishki and how serving under him felt like. Luis's eyes concentrated. He fired a shot aiming straight for Ino Lans weapon, just to surprise him.

"Hm?!" Ino said with a surprised look on his face, as he listened to a bullet getting shot out of nowhere. Apparently, he had forgotten Luis for a while because of the short conversation he had been having with Karma. He forgot that he was still there and that he was fighting and so he did not pay attention to any of his movements. For a single second, he thought that the bullet would be hitting him. However, luckily enough, the shot hit on his ax, missing its target, but making the weapon fall down. At least that was what Ino, thought...

"Wow... That really surprised me... I am lucky, marine, that your sniper is pathetic, just like you. If he was not a fail of a sniper and hit on his target, you would probably have won this battle... That was your only chance... At least now, I get to realize that I do not have to worry about him! Ha!" Ino said with an ironic expression before he prepared to go with another attack. Seeing that Karma was still surprised with the thing that happened before, he started rushing towards him, without his ax, in order to punch him at the chest with his powerful hand. Ino was very strong as he had double the size of Od and Neth and his punches were also deadly. He was not their captain without a reason, after all.

"Damn it..." Karma said as he looked at the centaur rushing towards him. Being a lion centaur, he could run like a real lion and so he was quite fast. Before Karma could move his sword to strike him with one slash, he felt the punch of the centaur hitting on his face and sending him many meters backwards, towards Od's and Neth's unconscious bodies. Karma's face was full of blood... That was a very difficult battle.

"It looks like... I have to try... Something else..." Karma said as he got up and coughed some blood. "One Sword Style - River!" he said and he launched an air blade towards Ino in an attempt to cut him. However, before the attack hit him, Ino simply used his Doa Doa no Mi powers to create a door in front of him that sucked the attack and made it useless. The air blade was sent to another dimension and Ino was safe and sound. That was a big problem... What would the Justice Gamblers do to defeat him?!

Raymond, who currently was on a safe distance, observed the others fighting while eating potato chips.As annoying as his subordinates where, one of the marines came down to him to hand him a den-den-mushi.Raymond carefully listened as he heard about a report that the famous shichibukai anubis would soon engage the marines.He as a VA could not be absent at such a big battle..He could not give everyone else all the glory!''Hey!Finish them off quickly we've got more important things to do!''.

Luis didnt like being called pathetic. Luis immediately grabbed his rifle and took shots standing up. The limiter and the air time from the shot would make it powerful to punch a hole in steel. Luis fired shots , aiming at the Centaurs legs and torso , trying to lead him towards Karma.
